Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is a disease that occurs in the eye which results in blindness as it passes to proliferative stage. Diabetes can significantly result in symptoms like blurring of vision, kidney failure, nervous damage. Hence it has become necessary to identify retinal damage that occurs in diabetic eye due to raised glucose level in its initial stage itself. Hence automated detection of anamoly has become very essential. The appearance of crimson and yellow lesions is considered as the earliest symptoms of DR which are called as hemorrhages and exudates. If DR is analysed at initial stage, blindness does not occur. The damage in retina can hinder the light that passes through nerves of the eye leading to visual loss. The motivation behind this research is to reduce the number of false positives by accurate detection which is possible using proposed fuzzy system based on ANN. Though several classifiers are available to detect the exudates this paper makes analysis of support vector machine using radial basis kernel function with proposed ANN technique. Also, adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system segmentation is performed after feature extraction technique, which makes classifer to outperform. The evaluation results showed that proposed artificial neural network based on fuzzy approach attained significant results compared to other classifiers. Moreover, the proposed algorithm has significant accuracy of 94% and minimum error rate has been observed. 相似文献

An alkaline lipase from Trichosporon asahii MSR 54 was used to develop presoak formulation for removing oil stains at ambient temperature. The lipase was produced in
a reactor followed by concentration by ultrafiltration and then it was dried with starch. The biochemical characteristics
of enzyme showed that it was an alkaline lipase having pH activity in the range of pH 8.0–10.0 and temperature in the range
of 25–50°C. The present lipase was active >80% at 25°C. The lipase was cystein activated with fourfold enhancement in presence
of 5 mM cystein and likewise the activity was also stimulated in presence of papain hydrolysate which served as source of
cystein. The presoak formulation consisted of two components A and B, component A was enzyme additive and B was a mixture
of carbonate/bicarbonate source of alkali and papain hydrolysate as source of cystein. The results indicated that the presoaking
in enzyme formulation followed by detergent washing was a better strategy for stain removal than direct washing with detergent
in presence of lipase. Further, it was observed that 0.25% presoak component B in presence of 100 U enzyme component A (0.1 g)
was the best formulation in removing maximum stain from mustard oil/triolein soiled clothes as indicated by increase in reflectance
which was found equal to that of control cloth. The lipase action in presoaked formulation was clearly indicated by quantitated
fatty acid release and also the TLC results of wash water, where oil hydrolytic products were visible only in presence of
enzyme in the treatment. The wash performance carried at 25°C indicated that washing at 25°C was at par with that at 40°C
as indicated by similar reflectance of the washed cloth piece though qualitative fatty acid release was higher at 40°C. 相似文献

Waist circumference (WC) has been advocated as a simple, reliable, and cost‐effective measure to understand an individual's cardio‐metabolic risk. Although several protocols exist for measuring WC, the variation induced by a few factors has not been investigated. We compared several established and experimental WC measurement protocols to identify factors that may cause variations in WC measurement. In this cross‐sectional study, we examined the variations in the measurement of waist circumference (WC) measures carried out in 11 ways differing by anatomical site, posture, respiratory phase, and time since last meal, using repeated measure analysis of variance (using mixed models) after Tukey‐Kramer adjustment. We estimated the proportion of variance in percentage of body fat (%BF) and fat‐free mass (FFM) explained by each of the WC measures. We studied 123 apparently healthy Asian Indians (75 females), with mean (s.d.) age of 34 (8.7) years and BMI of 23.9 (4.8) kg/m2. Overall, the mean of WCs measured using the 11 protocols were statistically different. Further, post hoc analysis showed statistically significant, yet mostly small, differences between most of the pairs. No single WC measure explained highest variance in %BF or FFM for both genders. Although, the National Institute of Health (NIH), USA, protocol was convenient and may be less prone to errors, at present it does not control for many variables tested in this study. Measures of WC measured using different protocols were statistically different. We suggest that the site of measurement, posture, phase of respiration, and time since last meal should be standardized for the development of a protocol for measurement of WC for worldwide use. 相似文献

Final maturation of eukaryotic ribosomes occurs in the cytoplasm and requires the sequential removal of associated assembly factors and processing of the immature 20S pre‐RNA. Using cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM), we have determined the structure of a yeast cytoplasmic pre‐40S particle in complex with Enp1, Ltv1, Rio2, Tsr1, and Pno1 assembly factors poised to initiate final maturation. The structure reveals that the pre‐rRNA adopts a highly distorted conformation of its 3′ major and 3′ minor domains stabilized by the binding of the assembly factors. This observation is consistent with a mechanism that involves concerted release of the assembly factors orchestrated by the folding of the rRNA in the head of the pre‐40S subunit during the final stages of maturation. Our results provide a structural framework for the coordination of the final maturation events that drive a pre‐40S particle toward the mature form capable of engaging in translation. 相似文献
