Two novel photoluminescent coordination polymers of formula [Cd(atpt)(H2O)2] · 2H2O (1) and [Zn(atpt)(H2O)2] (2) (H2atpt = 2-aminoterephthalic acid), in which the amino group of the atpt ligand coordinates to the metal(II) ions for the first time, have been synthesized through the self-assemblies of H2atpt and N-containing ligands [nicotiamide for 1 and imidazole for 2, respectively] with the metal(II) ions in the presence of NaOH. These complexes were characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TG), elemental analysis and X-ray analysis. X-ray crystallographic studies of the complexes reveal that complex 1 is a double stranded one-dimensional chain, which further assembles into a three-dimensional supramolecular network via the interchain π-π stacking interaction and strong hydrogen bonds, while complex 2 exhibits a two-dimensional porous architecture. The extensively strong hydrogen bonds in complex 2 lead to the formation of three-dimensional supramolecular framework. Photoluminescence properties of the compounds 1 and 2 have been examined in solid state at room temperature. These compounds have been found to exhibit blue photoluminescence and may be good candidates for photoactive materials.  相似文献

目的:观察和研究超滤方法在体外循环心内直视手术中应用的效果。方法:统计自1989年9月至2002年1月间共实行8622例体外循环心内直视手术中应用超滤方法,其中男性4825例,女性3837例。体外循环中超滤法是在心内操作基本完成,且在机体给予复温时进行的。结果:全组病例超滤时间10-46分,超滤液量为300-1800ml,监测超滤液中未发现细胞成分,蛋白定性为阴性。超滤后血液得到浓缩,检测血液尿素氮,肌酐及炎性介质均比以前降低。结论:体外循环中应用超滤方法可以减轻病人术后组织水肿,并能迅速地浓缩血液,提高病人的血细胞压积,血红蛋白和各种凝血物质,超滤方法还能降低体外循环中的炎性介质的浓度,有利于患者术后的康复。  相似文献

To understand the correlation between chromosomes behavior and fertility in autotriploid cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), microsporogenesis in pollen mother cells (PMCs) and male gametophyte development were studied using improved staining and chromosome preparation techniques. Meanwhile, for more efficient selection of trisomics from the progeny of autotriploid-diploid crosses, fertilization rates of ovules from reciprocal crosses were counted to observe the transfer rate of gametes in the autotriploid cucumber. Variable chromosome configurations, e.g. multivalents, quadrivalents, trivalents, bivalents and univalents were observed in the most PMCs of the autotriploids at metaphase I. Chromosome lagging and bridges at anaphase in both meiotic divisions resulted from irregular chromosome separation and asynchronization was frequently observed as well, which led to formation of micronuclei and inviable gametes. The frequency of normal PMCs in autotriploids at the stage of tetrad was only 40.6%. Among those normal microspores, most of them (91.2%) could develop into normal gametophytes with 2 cells and 3 germ pores. Stainability and germination rate of pollen grains were only 18.8 and 13.5%, respectively. However, chromosomes separated to form gametes with 8 chromosomes at anaphase I, suggesting a possible method for the production of primary trisomics from the progeny of autotriploid-diploid crosses. Fruit set of 3n × 2n and 2n × 3n were 80 and 70%, respectively. It obtained an average of 6.2 plump seeds per fruit in 3n × 2n, while 4.9 in 2n × 3n crosses. Transfer rates of gametes through the gastrula or the pollen in autotriploids were 13.4 and 10.4%, respectively. Some aneuploid gametes (n + 1 = 8, n + 2 = 9) also have capability of setting seed and sexual reproduction besides normal gametes containing whole chromosome sets (n = 7, 2n = 14). Further, some primary trisomic plants were selected from the progeny of autotriploid-diploid crosses. Based on the results obtained we suggest that abnormal meiosis in PMCs was the cytogenetic reason for low fertility of autotriploid cucumber pollen. 3n × 2n cross was more efficient for selecting primary trisomic plants in cucumber.  相似文献

目的比较青、老年猫上丘表浅层(superricial Superior Colliculus,sSC)星形胶质细胞中S100蛋白与胶质原纤维酸性蛋白(glial fibrillary acidic protein,GFAP)表达的老年性变化,并探讨其在动物视觉功能衰退中的意义。方法采用免疫组织化学方法(SABC法)示青、老年猫上丘表浅层S100免疫阳性反应(S100-immunoreactive,S100-IR)细胞及胶质纤维酸性蛋白免疫反应阳性(GFAP-immunoreactive,GFAP-IR)细胞。光镜下观察、拍照,并利用Image-ProExpress图像分析软件对上丘表浅层各层S100和GFAP免疫反应阳性细胞密度及其灰度值进行测量。结果与青年猫相比,老年猫上丘表浅层中S100蛋白与GFAP表达均有不同程度的显著增强(P〈0.01)。结论衰老进程中,上丘表浅层出现S100、GFAP表达增强,星形胶质细胞存在明显的反应性活化与增生,这对维持上丘表浅层神经元的活性和神经元之间的通讯联系,从而延缓老年性视觉功能衰退具有重要意义。  相似文献

Objective

To report the clinical, biological and therapeutic features of adult cryptorchidism and to determine whether orchidopexy at adulthood may improve male fertility.

Material and methods

We retrospectively studied the clinical pattern, biological and therapeutic features of 69 men aged of more than 18 years admitted for cryptorchidism at the urological department of Aristide-Le-Dantec teaching hospital between January 1999 and December 2007.

Results

The mean age of our patients was 31.04 ± 8.4 years. In the majority of cases, cryptorchidism was diagnosed in a context of infertility (38 cases), scrotum vacancy (21 cases) and testicular cancer (six cases). Cryptorchidism was unilateral in 69.5% and bilateral in 30.4% of cases. Semen analyses were done for 60 patients and showed azoospermia in 46.6%, oligozoospermia in 38.3% and a normal sperm count in 15% of cases. In all bilateral cryptorchidism cases, semen analyses showed azoospermia. At surgery, the undescended testis was found in 66 cases (95.6%) and orchidopexy was the most done surgical procedure. Seven patients (without testicular cancer) underwent unilateral orchiectomy and histology of specimens showed sertoli-cell-only syndrome with no spermatogenesis in all cases. The histological type of testicular cancer was seminoma (three cases) and embryonic carcinoma (three cases). In azoospermic men (28 cases) no induction of spermatogenesis was achieved after orchidopexy. In infertile patients, the improvement of sperm count was seen in three patients with unilateral cryptorchidism. Three patients with unilateral crytorchidism achieved pregnancy (pregnancy rate of 7.8%).

Conclusion

Orchidopexy for adult cryptorcidism had little impact in male fertility. Because of the risk of testicular cancer, orchidectomy was recommended as treatment of unilateral cryptorchidism. But with the recent development of TESE, orchidopexy appears as a reasonable treatment of adult cryptorchidism.  相似文献

A novel lipase gene from an organic solvent degradable strain Pseudomonas fluorescens JCM5963 was cloned, sequenced, and overexpressed as an N-terminus His-tag fusion protein in E. coli. The alignment of amino acid sequences revealed that the protein contained a lipase motif and shared a medium or high similarity with lipases from other Pseudomonas strains. It could be defined as a member of subfamily I.1 lipase. Most of the recombinant proteins expressed as enzymatically active aggregates soluble in 20 mM Tris–HCl buffer (pH 8.0) containing sodium deoxycholate are remarkably different from most subfamily I.1 and I.2 members of Pseudomonas lipases expressed as inactive inclusion body formerly described in E. coli. The recombinant lipase (rPFL) was purified to homogeneity by Ni-NTA affinity chromatography and Sephacryl S-200 gel filtration chromatography. The purified lipase was stable in broad ranges of temperatures and pH values, with the optimal temperature and pH value being 55 °C and 9.0, respectively. Its activity was found to increase in the presence of metal ions such as Ca2+, Sn2+ and some non-ionic surfactants. In addition, rPFL was activated by and remained stable in a series of water-miscible organic solvents solutions and highly tolerant to some water-immiscible organic solvents. These features render this novel lipase attraction for biotechnological applications in the field of organic synthesis and detergent additives.  相似文献

During early postnatal development, dendrites of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) extend and branch in the inner plexiform layer to establish the adult level of stratification, pattern of branching, and coverage. Many studies have described the branching patterns, transient features, and regulatory factors of stratification of the RGCs. The rate of RGC dendritic field (DF) expansion relative to the growing retina has not been systematically investigated. In this study, we used two methods to examine the relative expansion of RGC DFs. First, we measured the size of RGC DFs and the diameters of the eyeballs at several postnatal stages. We compared the measurements with the RGC DF sizes calculated from difference of the eyeball sizes based on a linear expansion assumption. Second, we used the number of cholinergic amacrine cells (SACs) circumscribed by the DFs of RGCs at corresponding time points as an internal ruler to assess the size of DFs. We found most RGCs exhibit a phase of faster expansion relative to the retina between postnatal day 8 (P8) and P13, followed by a phase of retraction between P13 and adulthood. The morphological α cells showed the faster growing phase but not the retraction phase, whereas the morphological ON–OFF direction selective ganglion cells expanded in the same pace as the growing retina. These findings indicate different RGCs show different modes of growth, whereas most subtypes exhibit a fast expansion followed by a retraction phase to reach the adult size. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Background

Prostatitis is associated with a characteristic increase in prostatic fluid pH; however, the underlying mechanism and its physiological significance have not been elucidated.

Methodology/Principal Findings

In this study a primary culture of rat prostatic epithelial cells and a rat prostatitis model were used. Here we reported the involvement of CFTR, a cAMP-activated anion channel conducting both Cl and HCO3 , in mediating prostate HCO3 secretion and its possible role in bacterial killing. Upon Escherichia coli (E coli)-LPS challenge, the expression of CFTR and carbonic anhydrase II (CA II), along with several pro-inflammatory cytokines was up-regulated in the primary culture of rat prostate epithelial cells. Inhibiting CFTR function in vitro or in vivo resulted in reduced bacterial killing by prostate epithelial cells or the prostate. High HCO3 content (>50 mM), rather than alkaline pH, was found to be responsible for bacterial killing. The direct action of HCO3 on bacterial killing was confirmed by its ability to increase cAMP production and suppress bacterial initiation factors in E coli. The relevance of the CFTR-mediated HCO3 secretion in humans was demonstrated by the upregulated expression of CFTR and CAII in human prostatitis tissues.

Conclusions/Significance

The CFTR and its mediated HCO3 secretion may be up-regulated in prostatitis as a host defense mechanism.  相似文献
