Direct electric current of 3 microA applied through platinum electrode during 10 s to a fine strand teased mechanically from saphenous nerve, inhibits selectively C-fibre spikes in the strand and does not inhibit A-fiber spikes. Phenylalanine hydroxylase (PH) activity was discovered in the liver of 7-12 week old human embryos. Embryonic and adult PHs were identical, as shown by immunoelectrophoresis. Unlike the adult liver PH, the PH content of the extract of cytoplasmic proteins of embryonic liver was reduced but the specific activity was increased more than by one order of magnitude. H (57,000 D) and L (55,000 D) subunits were detected by immunoblotting. The L subunit predominates in the extract of membrane proteins of embryonic liver. Hence, the major part of phenylalanine oxidizing activity in the embryonic liver is related to the enzyme immunochemically identical with the PH of adult liver but differing from it in some structural and functional properties.  相似文献

The influence of interlok, biotop and remantadine on the functional activity of monocytes was determined with the use of the NBT test permitting the quantitative evaluation of this characteristic. In this study interlok was found to give promising results in the treatment of acute viral hepatitis, due both to its antiviral action and to the stimulation of the functional activity of monocytes. biotop proved to render a sharply pronounced stimulating effect on the functional activity of monocytes, thus enhancing antiviral resistance. Remantadine suppressed the functional activity of monocytes and increased their lesion by the virus, thus creating favorable conditions for virus persistence in monocytes.  相似文献

Two hybridomas secreting mouse cytotoxic monoclonal antibodies to in vivo and in vitro activated human T-lymphocyte and neutrophil surface membrane antigenic determinants have been produced. One of these monoclonal antibodies (Ta/H-2) appeared to be also specifically reactive to blast cells in the majority of non-T-non-B and T acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients.  相似文献

A study was made of the effect of T-activin on the biosynthesis of immune gamma-interferon. It was shown that in 27% of patients with chronic nonspecific pulmonary diseases, production of gamma-interferon by lymphocytes was substantially reduced during exacerbation of inflammatory process in the lungs. It was discovered that T-activin was not an interferon inductor but enhanced its synthesis in patients with a low capacity of producing immune interferon even at small doses of interferon inductor. The preparation does not produce any effect on this process in normal subjects and in patients showing the normal level of gamma-interferon. Thus T-activin can be used for stimulation of interferonogenesis.  相似文献

Tiron can be used as a spin-trap for O2 radicals generated by the respiratory chain of submitochondrial particles (SMP). Using this sensitive method, it was shown that the O2 (radical) production by the succinate-oxidizing SMP can be reduced by antimycin or 4-nonyl-2-hydroxyquinoline-N-oxide, the effects of both antibiotics being abolished and prevented by cyanide. It is suggested tht the O2 radicals are produced due to autooxidation of ubisemiquinone which is formed as an intermediate upon one-electron oxidation of CoQH2 by cytochrome c1. The effects of antimycin, 2-nonyl-4-hydroxyquinoline-N-oxide and cyanide on the O2 (radical) generation correlate with the effects of these inhibitors on a steady-state concentration of ubisemiquinone predicted by the Mitchell's Q-cycle hypothesis.  相似文献

It has been shown that the resistance of muscular larvae of Trichinella spiralis to the effect of low temperatures depends on the conditions of freezing and composition of media possessing cryoprotective properties. It has been established that under optimal conditions (medium of microenvironment, conditions of freezing) during the storage in liquid nitrogen muscular larvae of T. spiralis preserve 50 to 60% of their resistance by the character of mobility and 11 to 15% by their capacity for reproduction.
