AbstractWhen designing any rehabilitation, sportswear or exoskeleton device the mechanical behaviour of the body segment must be known, specifically the skin, because an excessive tissue strain may lead to ulceration and bedsores. To date, it is not known if the kinematic variability between subjects have an effect on the skin strain field, and therefore, in the design and manufacturing of rehabilitation products, such as orthoses. Several studies have analysed the skin deformation during human motion, nevertheless, the comparison between the skin strain field in different subjects during normal or pathological gait has not been reported yet. This work presents a comparison of skin strain analysis for different gait patterns to study the differences between people and, specifically, if it is possible to standardize the orthotic design between subjects with the same gait disorder. Moreover, the areas with relatively minimum strain during the ankle-foot motion are compared to improve the design of structural parts of rehabilitation devices. In this case, a validated 3D digital image correlation system has been used for this purpose combined with strain ellipse theory. The results demonstrate variations in the skin strain field between subjects with the same pathology and similarities between subjects with normal gait. However, more studies and experiments are necessaries to validate this hypothesis and also to test it between different gait pathologies. 相似文献

The titanosaur sauropod Bonatitan reigi is redescribed. The material collected, originally interpreted as pertaining to two different individuals, is reorganised in five individuals, and the original type specimen is separated into three different individuals. One of the braincases is designated as a new type specimen. Some materials are described by the first time (sacral ribs, distal caudal, chevrons, metacarpals, astragalus and metatarsals), others reinterpreted as different bones (‘ulna’ and ‘radius’). The diagnosis of B. reigi is emended, removing some of the original characters (longitudinal groove located on the suture between the parietals that continues posteriorly over the supraoccipital to the foramen magnum) and adding some new (small paired pits on the frontals and posterior ridge of the metacarpal IV). The phylogenetic analysis does not support B. reigi as a member of the Saltasaurinae, but rather as a basal member of a broad clade of sauropods that in turn is recovered as the sister group of the Saltasauridae. 相似文献

The development of the hydra's head and its hypostome has been studied at the molecular level. Many genes have been cloned from hydra as potential candidates that control the development of its head. Much work was performed on the mechanisms controlling expression of these genes in the position-dependent manner. Moreover, there have been data to support the involvement of three main signaling pathways that involve PKC, SRC, and PI3K kinases in the regulation of the head formation and in the expression of several head-specific genes. In this report, we present data supporting the participation of these three signaling pathways on the development of the hypostome. We used grafting experiments and inhibitors of the specific kinases to show the participation of these enzymes in hypostome formation. From our results, we postulate that these signal transduction pathways regulate the very early stages of the head development, most likely at the point when the cells start to differentiate to form the head organizer. 相似文献

The parameters of length‐weight relationship (LWR) are presented for seven species of catfish from the southeastern Gulf of California. Samples were obtained every three months, in Bahia de Matanchen (using bottom trawl nets consistent of 72 hauls, with mesh sizes of 3.2 cm in the wings and 2.54 cm in the cod‐end) from February to November, 2016 and in the San Blas estuarine system (using gill nets consistent of 32 hauls, with mesh sizes of 5 cm) from August, 2015 to May, 2016 respectively. The allometric coefficient (b) of LWR varied from 2.797 for the Cominate Sea Catfish (Occidentarius platypogon (Günther, 1864)) to 3.373 for the Tete Sea Catfish (Ariopsis gilberti (Jordan & Williams, 1895)). Four species reached new records on maximum total length (Tete Sea Catfish, A. gilberti; Widehead Sea Catfish, A. guatemalensis (Günther, 1864); Conguito Sea Catfish, Cathorops liropus (Bristol, 1897); and Curator Sea Catfish, C. raredonae Marceniuk, Betancur‐R, & Acero, 2009).
