The distribution of fibronectin in situ in the sea urchin embryo was examined by using indirect immunofluorescence with an antibody raised against human plasma fibronectin. Fibronectin was detected on the surfaces of primary mesenchyme cells in the mid-mesenchyme blastula stage, when these cells are migratory. However, it was not detected on these cells at the early mesenchyme blastula or early gastrula stages. Also, it was not detected in the blastocoel nor on the basal surface of the blastular wall. The migration of the primary mesenchyme cells is therefore correlated with a stage-dependent occurrence of cell surface-associated fibronectin.  相似文献

Abstract.  To reveal circadian characteristics and entrainment mechanisms in the Japanese honeybee Apis cerana japonica , the locomotor-activity rhythm of foragers is investigated under programmed light and temperature conditions. After entrainment to an LD 12 : 12 h photoperiodic regime, free-running rhythms are released in constant dark (DD) or light (LL) conditions with different free-running periods. Under the LD 12 : 12 h regime, activity offset occurs approximately 0.4 h after lights-off transition, assigned to circadian time (Ct) 12.4 h. The phase of activity onset, peak and offset, and activity duration depends on the photoperiodic regimes. The circadian rhythm can be entrained to a 24-h period by exposure to submultiple cycles of LD 6 : 6 h, as if the locomotive rhythm is entrained to LD 18 : 6 h. Phase shifts of delay and advance are observed when perturbing single light pulses are presented during free-running under DD conditions. Temperature compensation of the free-running period is demonstrated under DD and LL conditions. Steady-state entrainment of the locomotor rhythm is achieved with square-wave temperature cycles of 10 °C amplitude, but a 5 °C amplitude fails to entrain.  相似文献

Generic characteristics and phylogenetic relationships of the genus Cyphononyx are presented, together with a brief review of the biology of the genus. It is shown that only one species of the genus, C. fulvognathus (Rohwer), occurs in Japan. This species is distributed also in Taiwan and south China, and has hitherto been recognized under the name of C. dorsalis. In addition, two new combinations are presented: Cyphononyx hirtus (Haupt, 1935) (= Cryptochilus hirtus Haupt) and Cyphononyx plebejus (de Saussure, 1867) (= Agenia plebeja de Saussure), both of which were recorded from the Oriental Region.  相似文献

Artemisia sphaerocephala is widely used for vegetation rehabilitation, but its germination is very low after air seeding of achenes. We explored effects of light, temperature and water stress on germination. Results show that both final percent germination and germination rate were increased by temperature increment, with the highest values occurring at 15: 25°C (night: day) in dark and 20: 30°C under light. Light inhibited germination, especially at lower alternating temperatures (5: 15°C and 10: 20°C). The alternating temperature window for germination was slightly narrower under light than in dark, and germination was slower under light than in dark across the temperature range. Achenes incubated in the dark and at constant temperatures had over 80% germination at 10 to 25°C, with an optimum at 20°C. Under dark and 25μmol m‐2 s‐1 light flux density at 10: 20°C, final percent germination was over 94%, but if the light flux density was increased to 100 and 400 μmol m‐2 s‐1, final percent germination was significantly lower (64% and 38% respectively). However, achenes could keep their germination capacity for a long time (over 50 days) and germinate well after going back to the dark. Germination was also lower under water stress and few achenes germinated at ‐1.4 MPa. This was more pronounced at high and low temperatures. Given these findings and the prevailing climatic characteristics, the most suitable time for air seeding of achenes may be mid‐May.  相似文献

根据多次对内蒙古松树山地区的植物调查资料和沙地油松林群落学的研究,结果表明:(1) 松树山在植物区系上,正处在蒙古植物区系、华北植物区系、长白植物区系和达乌里植物区系的交汇地区。植物种类比较丰富,种子植物达394种。松树山植物的科、属、种分别占科尔沁沙地的61.1%、58.1%和41.1%;(2) 松树山植物区系地理成分以温带性质成分占绝对优势,占本地区的90.61%,其中以温带亚洲成分、旧世界温带成分和中国-日本成分最多,分别占本地区的16.8%、14.0%和13.7%;(3) 沙地油松林是松树山地区和科尔沁沙地唯一的针阔叶混交林类型,群落生活型谱以地面芽植物种类最丰富,占40.7%,其次为高位芽植物(22.2%)和地下芽植物(25.5%)。(4) 沙地油松林可划分为沙地胡枝子蒙古栎油松林和沙地山杏油松林2个类型,前者主要分布在石质沙丘上,后者多分布在固定沙丘的阴坡。群落演替进程为沙地先锋植物群落阶段→根茎禾草杂类草群落阶段→沙地灌丛群落阶段→沙地油松林阶段。  相似文献

The types of actin present during development of skeletal muscle in chick embryos were investigated by various electrophoretic methods. The proportions of the actin types in the tissue were estimated by a novel method involving separation of actin bands by electrophoresis, staining of the bands with Coomassie Brilliant Blue R–250, extraction of dye and measurement of its absorbance.
Results showed that α-, β- and γ-actins were all present in embryonic skeletal muscle and were assembled into myofibrils. However, β- and γ-actins disappeared from myofibrils as muscle development proceeded. In embryonic muscle, the proportions of the three actin types in the soluble and myofibril fractions were different: their amounts were in the order β>γ>α in the soluble fraction, and α>β>γ in the myofibril fraction.  相似文献
