Endoproteolytic activity in human erythrocyte membrane preparations has been examined at 37 degrees C by one- and two-dimensional electrophoresis. Two-dimensional mapping has shown that the presence of leukocyte enzymes in erythrocytes prepared in a regular manner (centrifugation) cannot be excluded. Sedimentation in the 1.5% dextran 500,000 with the following erythrocyte purification on HBS-cellulose has made it possible to prepare erythrocyte membranes characterized by low level endoproteolytic activity without leukocyte enzymes. The marker peptide has been found. It is likely to be a specific product of the enzyme activity of membrane localization. 相似文献

The structure of the omega-particle-bacteria, growing in the micronucleus of Paramecium caudatum (Ciliata, Protozoa), was studied by electrom microscopy in the course of their life cycle. The cytoplasm of the spindle-shaped vegetative cells contains a large number of dense particles and transparent regions comprising the fibrillar material. Such cells, via several intermediate stages, are transformed into elongated twisted cells that are regarded as spores. The spore consists of two parts: homogeneous, and that containing the membrane system and rounded light bodies. The membranes are often double and connected with the fibrils. Experiments were conducted on rats and rabbits; a quantitative study was made of the microcirculation, of some indices of gaseous exchange and of the acid-base balance of the blood in poisoning with phosphorus organic cholinesterase inhibitors of peripheral action GA-70. Cardiac muscle proteins of four inbred murine strains were analyzed by one- and two-dimensional electrophoresis. Of those, 27 and 161 protein fractions were characterized in terms of molecular mass and relative electrophoretic mobility. The protein fractions were identified as corresponding to creatine phosphokinase, myoglobin and an albumin-like protein. Zoospores of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii exhibit chemotaxis towards maltose, sucrose, xylose, mannitol, and ammonium. Ten independent mutants defective in chemotaxis
towards sugars have been isolated. These mutants form five phenotypic classes. Genetic analysis of two mutant strains defective
in chemotaxis to maltose (CHE1, CHE3) and two mutant strains defective in chemotaxis to sucrose (CHE2, CHE4) indicated that
the defect in them depended on single nuclear recessive mutant alleles. Mutations mal1, mal2, suc1, and suc2 represent four chemotactic loci that are unlinked to the marker mt located on the linkage group VI. Four loci are unlinked to each other.
