According to the results of analysis of whole genome sequencing, the presence of genes having resistance to β-lactam antibiotics in hospital-associated strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae was studied. The strains were isolated from neonatal intensive care units. The data obtained were compared with the results of antimicrobial susceptibility testing of isolated microorganisms. Among other strains resistant to cephalosporins, the dominance of genes of CTX-M-type extended-spectrum β-lactamases was shown. It was revealed that one of eight strains phenotypically resistant and moderately resistant to carbapenems have the blaOXA-48 carbapenemase gene.  相似文献

Photosynthetic activities of cadmium-treated tomato plants   总被引:20,自引:0,他引:20  
Tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill. cv. Moneymaker) grown on nutrient medium containing cadmium exhibit reduced net photosynthesis and reduced contents of chlorophyll and accessory pigments. In chloroplasts isolated from cadmiumtreated plants photosystem II activity, as measured by 2,6-dichlorophenolindophenol photoreduction, and photosystem II + I activity (H2O → methyl viologen) were both inhibited to about 60%. When 1,5-diphenylcarbazide was used as artificial electron donor, no significant cadmium effect was observed. Photosystem I activity was not affected by cadmium. The fine structure of chloroplasts in cadmium-treated plants was degenerated, similarly to senescence response. The principal symptom of cadmium action was the occurrence of large plastoglobules and a disorganization of the lamellar structure, mainly grana stacks. Transfer of cadmium-treated plants into a medium with increased manganese level caused grana stacking and restoration of photosystem II activity.  相似文献

Brain bioelectrical activity was studied in 38 and 34 subjects with high and low levels of anxiety, respectively, by means of toposelective mapping of EEG spectral power and recording of P300 endogenous event-related auditory evoked potentials (EPs). Analysis of EEG spectra demonstrated, in the subjects with a high level of trait anxiety, a higher power of β1 oscillations in the central-parietal areas of both hemispheres and the occipital area of the right hemisphere, as well as a higher power of θ and α oscillations in the frontal areas of both hemispheres and the central-parietal area of the left hemisphere. The occipital-frontal gradient of the spectral power of these rhythmic EEG components was altered in subjects with a high level of trait anxiety. Comparison of P300 cognitive auditory EPs in the subjects with high anxiety and in the control group showed that, in the former, the P300 EP amplitude and the habituation distortion (dishabituation) of the P300 EP amplitude were significantly higher in both hemispheres. This indicates that, at a high level of anxiety, the active directed attention was disturbed, which is confirmed by the results of neuropsychological examination, demonstrating reduced selectivity, concentration, and stability of attention in the Münsterberg test and Schulte’s test. The results of electrophysiological examination suggest that the malfunction of regulatory brain modulating systems is an important neurophysiological mechanism of attention pathology and disturbed adaptation in subjects with a high level of trait anxiety.  相似文献

1. Multiannual population cycles of geometrid moths are thought to be driven by trophic‐level interactions involving a delayed density‐dependent component. Predation on adult moths has been a little‐studied mechanism of this phenomenon. 2. Using 29 daytime and 61 night‐time predation trials in the field, we exposed living autumnal moth (Epirrita autumnata Borkhausen, Lepidoptera: Geometridae) females to their natural predators during each autumn throughout the 10‐year population cycle. 3. In our northern study location (70°N), insectivorous passerines had already migrated, and harvestman Mitopus morio Fabricius (Opiliones: Phalangiidae) was found to be the main predator of the adult moths. The predation mortality occurred mainly at night and was positively correlated with the minimum temperature measured during the predation trial. 4. Despite high annual variability in the degree of adult predation, both direct and delayed density‐dependent effects were weak and indicate that predation on adult moths in the autumn does not have any regulatory role in cyclic population dynamics of the autumnal moth in northern Fennoscandia.  相似文献

Recent findings on large nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from permafrost peatlands have shown that tundra soils can support high N2O release, which is on the contrary to what was thought previously. However, field data on this topic have been very limited, and the spatial and temporal extent of the phenomenon has not been known. To address this question, we studied N2O dynamics in two types of subarctic permafrost peatlands, a peat plateau in Russia and three palsa mires in Finland, including also adjacent upland soils. The peatlands studied have surfaces that are uplifted by frost (palsas and peat plateaus) and partly unvegetated as a result of wind erosion and frost action. Unvegetated peat surfaces with high N2O emissions were found from all the studied peatlands. Very high N2O emissions were measured from peat circles at the Russian site (1.40±0.15 g N2O m?2 yr?1). Elevated, sparsely vegetated peat mounds at the same site had significantly lower N2O release. The N2O emissions from bare palsa surfaces in Northern Finland were highly variable but reached high rates, similar to those measured from the peat circles. All the vegetated soils studied had negligible N2O release. At the bare peat surfaces, the large N2O emissions were supported by the absence of plant N uptake, the low C : N ratio of the peat, the relatively high gross N mineralization rate and favourable moisture content, together increasing availability of mineral N for N2O production. We hypothesize that frost heave is crucial for high N2O emissions, since it lifts the peat above the water table, increasing oxygen availability and making it vulnerable to the the physical processes that may remove the vegetation cover. In the future, permafrost thawing may change the distribution of wet and dry surfaces in permafrost peatlands, which will affect N2O emissions.  相似文献

A new species, Caudotestis dobrovolski n. sp., is described from Liparis sp. (Scorpaeniformes: Liparidae) and Eumicrotremus fedorovi Mandrytsa, 1991 (Scorpaeniformes: Cyclopteridae), caught in the Simushir Island area of the North Pacific. This species differs from six previously known congeners by the following combination of features: the excretory vesicle reaches to the anterior edge of the ventral sucker, uterus pretesticular, genital pore prebifurcal and median, and testes entire or with irregular outline, occasionally distinctly lobate. Phylogenetic analysis of 28S rRNA gene partial sequences suggests a sister position of Caudotestis Issaitschikov, 1928 to the genus Biospeedotrema Bray, Waeschenbach, Dyal, Littlewood, & Morand, 2014, and unites C. dobrovolski n. sp. + Biospeedotrema spp. with Zdzitowieckitrema incognitum Sokolov, Lebedeva, Gordeev, & Khasanov, 2019. The phylogenetic relationship of Biospeedotrema and Zdzitowieckitrema Sokolov, Lebedeva, Gordeev, & Khasanov, 2019 with respect to the Opecoelidae is currently uncertain and, within the Xiphidiata, these genera are currently without adequate familial classification. However, Caudotestis belongs to the Stenakrinae, a subfamily within the Opecoelidae. Three other stenakrine species—Holsworthotrema enboubalichthys Martin, Huston, Cutmore, & Cribb, 2018, Holsworthotrema chaoderma Martin, Huston, Cutmore, & Cribb, 2018, and Scorpidotrema longistipes Aken’Ova & Cribb, 2003are integrated into a large clade of the opecoelid trematodes. Therefore, the Stenakrinae is apparently polyphyletic.  相似文献

The species composition and inversion polymorphism were studied in malaria mosquito larva hemipopulations of Karelia. Three malaria mosquito species??Anopheles messeae, A. beklemishevi, and A. maculipennis??were found in the region. The northern boundary of their range is at 65°N. The greatest species diversity was observed in biotopes of the central region. Within-species chromosome polymorphism was observed in larva populations of all three species. For A. messeae, maximum karyotype diversity indices were established for the southern and northern regions of Karelia.  相似文献

1. By selective grazing, invasive grazers can alter macrophyte‐herbivore relationships in shallow freshwater bodies. Evaluating the palatability of macrophytes and understanding the determinants of plant palatability can help predict grazing impact. In no‐choice feeding assays, we tested the palatability of 21 species of freshwater macrophytes to the invasive freshwater apple snail Pomacea canaliculata. 2. Daily feeding rate varied greatly with plant species, ranging from 1.1 to 22% of snail body mass. We assessed six plant properties and examined their correlation with feeding rate. Total nitrogen content was positively related, and C:N ratio and dry matter content (DMC) negatively related, to snail feeding rate. There was no significant correlation between snail feeding rate and plant phenolic content, but the feeding rate on Myriophyllum aquaticum (the plant with the highest phenolic content) was very low. 3. We repeated the feeding assays for 15 species that were not palatable as fresh leaves with reconstituted plant tissues formed by mixing ground up dried leaves with agar. The feeding rate still differed greatly among macrophyte species. Phragmites australis and Vallisneria natans (two species with the highest DMC) were eaten much more as reconstituted plant than as fresh leaves, indicating that structure (i.e. DMC) may be important in their defence against snail herbivory. For two plants (M. aquaticum and Alternanthera philoxeroides) that had moderate amounts of nitrogen/phosphorus but were consumed very little as fresh and reconstituted tissues, we incorporated their extracts into a palatable agar‐based food. The extracts from both species greatly reduced snail feeding rate, indicating the presence of chemical defences in these two species. 4. These results indicated that feeding was affected by several plant traits. The snail favoured plants with a high nitrogen content and avoided plants with a high DMC. Only a few plants possessed chemical feeding deterrents that were effective against this snail. Given the invasive spread of P. canaliculata in Asia, ecologists and managers should consider plant palatability when selecting plants for use in wetland restoration and when predicting the impact of further invasion by this species.  相似文献

A study is made of the fundamental features of current filaments with a nonzero electron vorticity Ω e B − (c/e) ▿ × p ee ≠ 0 and the corresponding Lagrangian invariant I e . Such current structures can exist on spatial scales of up to ω pi −1. It is shown that the dissipative stage of the plasma evolution and the violation of Thomson’s theorem on vorticity conservation in an electron fluid are of fundamental importance for the onset of electron current structures. A key role of the screening of electric and magnetic fields at distances on the order of the magnetic Debye radius r B = B/(4πen e )—the main property of such current structures in a Hall medium with σB/(en e c) ≫ 1—is stressed. Since the minimum size of a vortex structure is the London length c pe , the structures under consideration correspond to the condition r B > c pe or B 2 > 4πn e m e c 2, which leads to strong charge separation in the filament and relativistic electron drift. It is demonstrated that the specific energy content in current structures is high at a filament current of 10–15 kA: from 100 J/cm3 at a plasma density of 1014 cm−3 (the parameters of a lightning leader) to 107 J/cm3 for a fully ionized atmospheric-pressure air. Estimates are presented showing that the Earth’s ionosphere, circumsolar space, and interstellar space are all Hall media in which current vortex structures can occur. A localized cylindrical equilibrium with a magnetic field reversal is constructed—an equilibrium that correlates with the magnetic structures observed in intergalactic space. It is shown that a magnetized plasma can be studied by using evolutionary equations for the electron and ion Lagrangian invariants I e and I i . An investigation is carried out of the evolution of a current-carrying plasma in a cylinder with a strong external magnetic field and with a longitudinal electron current turned on in the initial stage—an object that can serve as the simplest electrodynamic model of a tokamak. In this case, it is assumed that the plasma conductivity is low in the initial stage and then increases substantially with time. Based on the conservation of the integral momentum of the charged particles and electromagnetic field in a plasma cylinder within a perfectly conducting wall impenetrable by particles, arguments are presented in support of the generation of a radial electric field in a plasma cylinder and the production of drift ion fluxes along the cylinder axis. A hypothesis is proposed that the ionized intergalactic gas expands under the action of electromagnetic forces.  相似文献
