In this paper,we propose a new system for understanding the biodiversity in different conservation areas.It includes three aspects:the capacity,the connectivity and the quality.The capacity refers to the numbers of biodiversity,including absolute and relative richness of the vegetation types Nv and Dv = (Nv-1)/lnA,species numbers S and richness of species dGI = (S- 1)/lnA,and germ plasm resources within a nature reserve,and also the potential biological living space offered by the natural resource.It comprises the total biological resources in a nature reserve.The connectivity refers to the flux of biodiversity,including similarity and connected status of the vegetation types SILi = 2z/(x + y) and species numbers SIc = 2z/(x + y) among different nature reserves.The quality refers to the stability of biodiversity,including relative species richness index RSLi = d/dmax,relative vegetation richness index RVLi =Dv/Dmaxv,fastness to invasion species fLi = 1-Si/St,weighted values,representativeness and vulnerability of special vegetations,special species,CITES species and rare species as the protected targets. 相似文献

As part of our investigation into pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridines as novel p110α selective PI3 kinase inhibitors, we report a range of analogues with improved aqueous solubility by the addition of a basic amine. The compounds demonstrated comparable p110α potency and selectivity to earlier compounds but with up to 1000× greater aqueous solubility, as the hydrochloride salts. Atherosclerotic plaques in human coronary arteries are focal manifestations of systemic disease, and biomechanical factors have been hypothesized to contribute to plaque genesis and localization. We developed a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model of the ascending aorta and proximal sections of the right and left coronary arteries of a normal human subject using computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and determined the pulsatile flow field. Results demonstrate that flow patterns in the ascending aorta contribute to a pro-atherosclerotic flow environment, specifically through localization of low and oscillatory wall shear stress in the neighborhood of coronary orifices. Furthermore, these patterns differ in their spatial distribution between right and left coronary arteries. Entrance effects of aortic flow diminish within two vessel diameters. We examined relationships between spatial distributions of wall shear stress and reports of plaque occurrence in the literature. Results indicate low wall shear stress is co-located with increased incidence of lesions, and higher wall shear stresses are associated with lesion-resistant areas. This investigation does not consider plaque progression or advanced lesions, inasmuch as the CFD model was developed from a normal individual and the clinical data used for comparisons were obtained from autopsy specimens of subjects who died from non-cardiovascular causes. The data reported are consistent with the hypothesis that low wall shear stress is associated with the localization of atherosclerotic lesions, and the results demonstrate the importance of aortic flow on flow patterns in the proximal segments of the coronary arteries. 相似文献

Helical flows have been observed in the ascending aorta in vivo, and geometric curvature has been suggested to be a major contributing factor. We employed magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and velocity mapping to develop a computational model to examine the effects of curvature and also wall compliance and movement upon flow patterns. In the computational model, MRI-derived geometry and velocities were imposed as boundary conditions, which included both radial expansion-contraction and translational motion of the wall. The computed results were in agreement with the MR data only when full wall motion was included in the model, suggesting that the flow patterns observed in the ascending aorta arise not only from geometric curvature of the arch but also from the motion of the aorta resulting from its attachment to the beating heart. 相似文献

Erwinia herbicola strain Eh1087 produces the broad-spectrum phenazine antibiotic D-alanylgriseoluteic acid (AGA). In this report, a cluster of 16 ehp (Erwinia herbicola phenazine) plasmid genes required for the production of AGA by Eh1087 is described. The extent of the gene cluster was revealed by the isolation of 82 different Eh1087 AGA- mutants, all found to possess single mini-Tn5lacZ2 insertions within a 14 kbp DNA region. Additional transposon insertions that did not affect antibiotic production by Eh1087 were created to define the boundaries of the gene cluster. The size and location of genes between these boundaries were derived from a combination of DNA sequence analyses, minicell protein analyses and the correlation between mutation position and the production of coloured AGA intermediates by many ehp mutants. Precursor-feeding and complementation experiments resulted in 15 ehp genes being assigned to one of four functional groups according to their role in the synthesis of AGA. Group 1 is required for the synthesis of the phenazine nucleus in the form of antibiotic precursor one (AP1, phenazine-1,6-dicarboxylic acid). Group 2 is responsible for conversion of AP1 to AP2, which is subsequently modified to AP3 (griseoluteic acid) and exported by the group 3 gene products. Group 4 catalyses the addition of D-alanine to AP3 to create AGA, independently of groups 1, 2 and 3. A gene that is divergently transcribed from the 15 AGA synthesis ehp genes confers resistance to AGA. 相似文献

Integrins are prominent receptors known from vertebrates and the higher
phyla of invertebrates. Until now, no evidence has been provided for the
existence of integrins in the lowest Metazoa, the sponges (Porifera). We
have isolated and characterized a cDNA clone encoding the alpha subunit of
integrin from the marine sponge Geodia cydonium (GCINTEG). The open reading
frame encodes a polypeptide of 1,086 residues (118 kDa). The intracellular
domain features the sequence Tyr- Phe-x-Gly-Phe-Phe-x-Arg, which is
different in one residue from the characteristic consensus pattern for
integrin alpha subunits. We conclude that sponges, the oldest multicellular
animal phylum, already utilize the structural elements which are required
for a tuned and controlled interaction among cells, and between cells and
the extracellular matrix.

Structure-activity relationship studies of the pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyridine class of PI3 kinase inhibitors show that substitution off the hydrazone nitrogen and replacement of the sulfonyl both gave a loss of p110α selectivity, with the exception of an N-hydroxyethyl analogue. Limited substitutions were tolerated around the phenyl ring; in particular the 2,5-substitution pattern was important for PI3 kinase activity. The N-hydroxyethyl compound also showed good inhibition of cell proliferation and inhibition of phosphorylation of Akt/PKB, a downstream marker of PI3 kinase activity. It had suitable pharmacokinetics for evaluation in vivo, and showed tumour growth inhibition in two human tumour cell lines in xenograft studies. This work has provided suggestions for the design of more soluble analogues. 相似文献
