Rheum ribes L. (Polygonaceae) is the source of one of the most important crude drugs in Asiatic regions .The medicinal character of rhubarb is due to its anthraquinone content . Different parts of sterile seedlings were cultured on MS medium to study the generation of callus. The explants were cultured with different ranges of plant growth regulators and the best range of plant growth regulators for generation of callus was IBA (1 mg l–1) and BA (1 mg l–1). The content of anthraquinones were determined by HPLC . The concentration of sucrose, vitamins and Myo-inositol and ratio of NO3 to NH4 in the medium was changed and growth rate and content of 2 anthraquinones was determined . The growth rate of callus declined with increased rate of secondary metabolites production. Myo-inositol 100 mg l–1 in the medium increased anthraquinone content and in medium that had NO3/NH4:1/1 the maximum content of anthraquinone was obtained. 相似文献

The effects of 0, 2.5, 5.0, and 10.0 pmol/L Cd^2+(Cd(NO3)2.4H2O) and 0, 10, 25, 50, and 100 mmol/L NaCl on growth, photosynthesis and the content of some ions in maize (Zea mays L.) were investigated in the present study. With Increasing concentrations of Cd^2+ or NaCI alone in Hoagland nutrient solution, the chlorophylls and starch content decreased. Combination treatment with salinity and cadmium increased the negative effects observed following the two stresses alone. Plants exhibiting growth retardation in response to one mild stress factor (25-50 mmol/L NaCl) became more tolerant to the other stress factor (Cd). The exposure of plants to cadmium caused a partial reversal of the effects of salinity. Root and shoot growth, ion accumulation and levels of photosynthetic pigments were improved at moderate concentrations of the two stress factors Imposed jointly. 相似文献

The halophilous vegetation of the Orumieh lake salt marshes has been studied, using the Braun-Blanquet method. Vegetation types have been defined by physiognomic-floristic system. The following six main groups of communities are recognized: (1) Semi-woody shrub and perennial halophytic communities (Class Halocnemetea strobilacei) including 6 associations and 5 subassociations, (2) Annual halophytic communities (Class Thero-Salicornietea) including 5 associations and 1 subassociation, (3) Salt marsh brushwood communities (Class Tamaricetea) including 4 associations, (4) Rush and herbaceous perennial halophytic communities (Class Juncetea maritimi) including 7 associations and 1 subassociation, (5) Rush and herbaceous perennial halotolerant communities (Class Agrostietea stoloniferae) including 5 associations, (6) Hydrophilous halotolerant communities (Class Phragmitetea) including 3 associations and 2 subassociations. The soil of these communities has been analysed and their habitats are described and discussed. 相似文献
