The study of structural organization of gene pool was conducted for eight blood-group genetic systems (transferrin, haptoglobin, and amilase) in three stock herds of pigs of the Ukrainskaya Stepnaya Belaya breed that were bred under the conditions of southern Ukraine. Typical gene combinations (complex genotypes) of this breed were detected, and the main breed-specific parameters of distribution of genetic markers were described.  相似文献

In patients deprived of supraspinal effects, electrical epidural stimulation of the spinal cord's dorsal surface at the level of 2nd lumbar segment induces step-like movements accompanied by respective electromyographic activity of the leg's muscles. Triggering of the step-like movements occurs at certain parameters of the stimulation. The data obtained suggest that human spinal cord has networks of interneurons-generators of the step-like movements. A leading role of the spinal cord's propriospinal system in activation of spinal generators of stepping under epidural influences was shown in cats.  相似文献

The effects in vivo and in vitro of the radioprotective agents (MEA, AET, serotonin, dopamine, and histamine) on mitochondrial ATPase activity of rat brain and liver have been investigated. The role of hindpaw skin afferent input in the locomotor pattern formation induced by epidural spinal cord stimulation was investigated in decerebrated cats. Locomotor activity was evoked by continuous 3-5Hz stimulation of dorsal surface of L4-L5 spinal segments. Kinematic and electromyographic activity (EMG) of m. Quadriceps, m. Semitendinosus, m. Tibialis anterior an m. Gastrocnemius lateralis before and after blocking of skin receptors in one hind limb were recorded. In addition, reflex responses in the hind limb muscles to epidural stimulation with frequency 0.5 Hz were analysed. Blocking of skin receptors of the foot with chlorothane paw irrigation or 2 % lidocaine administrated into the hind paw was performed. After blocking of skin receptors of the foot the stepping pattern changed. Stepping with dorsal foot placement and dragging during swing phase was observed. Duration of stance phase significantly decreased. Inhibition of polysynaptic activity of proximal and distal extensor muscles and distal flexor muscles of hind paw during locomotion was found. Monosynaptic responses after blocking of skin receptors of the foot changed insignificantly.  相似文献

The activity of carbonic anhydrase (CA) was studied in different cell fractions of the alkaliphilic cyanobacterium Microcoleus chthonoplastes. The activity of this enzyme was found in the soluble and membrane protein fractions, as well as in intact cells and in a thick glycocalyx layer enclosing the cyanobacterium cells. The localization of CA in glycocalyx of M. chthonoplastes was shown by western blot analysis and by immunoelectron microscopy studies with antibodies to the thylakoid CA from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii (Cah3). At least one of the CA forms occurring in M. chthonoplastes CA was shown to be an -type enzyme. A possible mechanism of the involvement of the glycocalyx CA in calcification of cyanobacteria is discussed.  相似文献

We examined the possibility of initiation of involuntary stepping movements by spinal electromagnetic stimulation (SEMS) during leg suspension. The subject’s legs were supported by a special apparatus in a gravity neutral position that to provide horizontal rotation in the hip, knee and ankle. SEMS (3 Hz and 1.56 Tesla) over the T11–T12 vertebrae induced involuntary locomotor_like movements in the legs. The latency period from the initiation of stimulation to the first EMG burst was 0.68 1.0 s. Increasing the frequency of SEMS from 3 Hz to 20 Hz resulted in shortening of the latency period. Thus, SEMS is able to initiate involuntary stepping in humans.  相似文献

A new method for the activation of spinal locomotor networks (SLN) in humans by transcutaneous electrical spinal cord stimulation (tESCS) has been described. The tESCS applied in the region of the T11-T12 vertebrae with a frequency of 5?C40 Hz elicited involuntary step-like movements in healthy subjects with their legs suspended in a gravity-neutral position. The amplitude of evoked step-like movements increased with increasing tESCS frequency. The frequency of evoked step-like movements did not depend on the frequency of tESCS. It was shown that the hip, knee, and ankle joints were involved in the evoked movements. It has been suggested that tESCS activates the SPG (SLN) through in part, via the dorsal roots that enter the spinal cord. tESCS can be used as a noninvasive method in rehabilitation of spinal pathology.  相似文献

A callus culture of the extreme halophyte seacoastal plant Mertensia maritima (Boraginaceae) was established from apical shoots of the plant using a modified Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with 6-benzyladenine (0.5?mg/L) and ??-naphthaleneacetic acid (2.0?mg/L). Three main compounds, (?)-R-allantoin, (+)-rabdosiin and rosmarinic acid, were isolated from extracts of M. maritima calli by liquid chromatography and identified by 1H and 13C NMR, UV, ECD and HPLC?CMS. Quantitative HPLC analysis showed that the calli produce (+)-rabdosiin (0.14% dry wt), rosmarinic acid (0.74% dry wt) and (?)-R-allantoin (3.7% dry wt). Allantoin was detected in plant cell cultures for the first time. All of these metabolites were also present in lower quantities in different parts of the plant. The presence of rabdosiin and rosmarinic acid, in combination with the skin-conditioning agent (?)-R-allantoin, represents a potentially useful novel composition for skin protection.  相似文献

Strictosidine glucosidase (SG) is an enzyme that catalyses the second step in the biosynthesis of various classes of monoterpenoid indole alkaloids. Based on the comparison of cDNA sequences of SG from Catharanthus roseus and raucaffricine glucosidase (RG) from Rauvolfia serpentina, primers for RT-PCR were designed and the cDNA encoding SG was cloned from R. serpentina cell suspension cultures. The active enzyme was expressed in Escherichia coli and purified to homogeneity. Analysis of its deduced amino-acid sequence assigned the SG from R. serpentina to family 1 of glycosyl hydrolases. In contrast to the SG from C. roseus, the enzyme from R. serpentina is predicted to lack an uncleavable N-terminal signal sequence, which is believed to direct proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum. The temperature and pH optimum, enzyme kinetic parameters and substrate specificity of the heterologously expressed SG were studied and compared to those of the C. roseus enzyme, revealing some differences between the two glucosidases. In vitro deglucosylation of strictosidine by R. serpentina SG proceeds by the same mechanism as has been shown for the C. roseus enzyme preparation. The reaction gives rise to the end product cathenamine and involves 4,21-dehydrocorynantheine aldehyde as an intermediate. The enzymatic hydrolysis of dolichantoside (Nbeta-methylstrictosidine) leads to several products. One of them was identified as a new compound, 3-isocorreantine A. From the data it can be concluded that the divergence of the biosynthetic pathways leading to different classes of indole alkaloids formed in R. serpentina and C. roseus cell suspension cultures occurs at a later stage than strictosidine deglucosylation.  相似文献
