Previous studieshave demonstrated exercise-induced heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) inanimals. The purpose of this study was to investigate human skeletalmuscle HSP70 response to rowing training. Ten male rowers trained for 4 wk with different forms, durations, and intensities of exercise. Biopsywas performed in the right musculus vastus lateralis before trainingand at the end of each week. HSP70 in 5 µg of total protein from themuscle sample was determined by using Western blot and immunodetection with chemiluminescence technique, by means of laser densitometer referring to a series of known standard HSP70. Compared withpretraining (100%), HSP70 increased during training (181, 405, 456, and 363% from the first to fourth training week, respectively) withthe maximum HSP70 production at the end of second training week. A tangential flow filtration system for concentrating live pico-and nanoplankton was tested on natural seawater (<20 µm)from Kiel Bight. Twenty- to thirty-fold concentration of samplesranging from 79 to 152 dm3 was easily achieved, the time necessarydepending on sample volume, pumping pressure and filtrate/retentateratio. Losses of different kinds of cells in relation to theconcentration factor were quantified. Organic photovoltaics (OPV) represent a thin‐film PV technology that offers attractive prospects for low‐cost and aesthetically appealing (colored, flexible, uniform, semitransparent) solar cells that are printable on large surfaces. In bulk heterojunction (BHJ) OPV devices, organic electron donor and acceptor molecules are intimately mixed within the photoactive layer. Since 2005, the power conversion efficiency of said devices has increased substantially due to insights in the underlying physical processes, device optimization, and chemical engineering of a vast number of novel light‐harvesting organic materials, either small molecules or conjugated polymers. As Nature itself has developed porphyrin chromophores for solar light to energy conversion, it seems reasonable to pursue artificial systems based on the same types of molecules. Porphyrins and their analogues have already been successfully implemented in certain device types, notably in dye‐sensitized solar cells, but they have remained largely unexplored in BHJ organic solar cells. Very recent successes do show, however, the strong (latent) prospects of porphyrinoid semiconductors as light‐harvesting and charge transporting materials in such devices. Here, an overview on the state‐of‐the‐art of porphyrin‐based solution‐processed BHJ OPV is provided and insights are given into the pathways to follow and hurdles to overcome toward further improvements of porphyrinic materials and devices. 相似文献

Structure-based design and synthesis of the 3,4'-bispyridinylethylene series led to the discovery of 3-isoquinolinylpyridine 13a as a potent PKB/Akt inhibitor with an IC(50) of 1.3nM against Akt1. Compound 13a shows excellent selectivity against distinct families of kinases such as tyrosine kinases and CAMK, and displays poor to marginal selectivity against closely related kinases in the AGC and CMGC families. Moreover, 13a demonstrates potent cellular activity comparable to staurosporine, with IC(50) values of 0.42 and 0.59microM against MiaPaCa-2 and the Akt1 overexpressing FL5.12-Akt1, respectively. Inhibition of phosphorylation of the Akt downstream target GSK3 was also observed in FL5.12-Akt1 cells with an EC(50) of 1.5microM.
