A study was made of the nature of radiation--induced bonds between DNA and 2-amino-5,6-dehydro-4H-thiazine (2-ADT) having a radioprotective action. Using the gelfiltration method and 35S-2-ADT, it was shown that the amount of the radioprotector bound to DNA increased with radiation dose and did not depend on the postirradiation treatment with 3 M LiCl or 3 M urea. No marked binding was noted after mixing the separately exposed DNA and the protector. It is concluded that a covalent linkage of DNA and 2-ADT occurs, upon irradiation, via short-living states of DNA and (or) the protector.  相似文献

重庆市有野生蕨类植物47科120属604种(含变种及以下分类单位)。其科属优势明显,其中蹄盖蕨科、金星蕨科、鳞毛蕨科和水龙骨科4个科包含了49属337种,占重庆市蕨类植物属、种总数的40.83%和55.79%;特有现象明显,地方特有种十分丰富,中国特有种和地方特有种类分别达到164种和33种;蕨类植物区系具有古老、孑遗和原始性等特点,表现出一定的热带性质或热带亲缘。  相似文献

Muscle transcriptomic analyses in Angus cattle with divergent tenderness   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Beef tenderness contributes significantly to variation of beef palatability, and is largely influenced by various genetic and environmental factors. To identify candidate genes and pathways related to beef tenderness, we analyzed the longissimus dorsi (LD) muscle of Angus cattle that had different degrees of tenderness, measured by Warner-Bratzler shear force (WBSF). Microarray and RT-PCR analyses identified 53 genes that were differentially expressed in LD samples categorized as either tough or tender, including myosin, heavy chain 3 skeletal muscle embryonic (MYH3), myosin heavy chain 8 skeletal muscle perinatal (MYH8), guanylate binding protein 5 (GBP5), fatty acid binding protein 4 (FABP4), Stearoyl-coenzyme A desaturase (SCD), Fatty acid synthase (FASN), ubiquitin-like with PHD and ring finger domains 1 (UHRF1). Most of these genes are involved in lipid metabolism and skeletal muscle contraction. Employing Gene ontology (GO) and Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA), several GO terms and pathways were found to be related to hydrolase, peptidase and GTPase activity, lipid metabolism, small molecule biochemistry, molecular transport, and tissue development. Overall, this analysis provides insight into the metabolic relationships between muscle biology and beef quality.  相似文献

The dose response of soluble and membrane forms of angiotensin-converting enzyme to gamma-irradiation is investigated at different pH values of the medium and at different concentrations of acetate-phosphate buffer. Membrane form of the enzyme is more stable shows principally other conformational equilibrium than the soluble form. "Splitted" activation peaks on the curves of the enzyme dose response are observed.  相似文献

Mutant ts21-66 of the tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) differs from the wild-type TMV-U1 by two mutations (Ile-21-->Thr and Asp-66-->Gly) in the coat protein (CP) gene and in symptoms produced in infected N' plants. The CP structure in TMV-U1 and ts21-66 virions was probed by tritium planigraphy. Compared with the wild-type CP, labeling of the N-terminal region of mutant CP was half as high and suggested its greater shielding. A role of this CP region in virus interactions with the N' resistance system is discussed.  相似文献

Synthesis of compounds containing a fragment similar to the guanidine group of L-arginine, which is a substrate of nitric oxide synthase (NOS), is the main direction in creating NOS inhibitors. The inhibitory effect of such compounds is caused not only by their competition with the substrate for the L-arginine-binding site and/or oxidizing center of the enzyme (heme) but also by interaction with peptide motifs of the enzyme that influence its dimerization, affinity for cofactors, and interaction with associated proteins. Structures, activities, and relative in vitro and in vivo specificities of various NOS inhibitors (amino acid and non-amino acid) with linear or cyclic structure and containing guanidine, amidine, or isothiuronium group are considered. Temporal bone computed tomographic scans were studied in 136 deaf patients of different age and sex, including 56 patients (39 children and 17 adults) rehabilitated with cochlear implantation (CI). The mean values of the cochlear parameters that are important for the results of a surgical CI stage, namely: the diameter of the cochlear base (DCB), the diameter of the basal helix, the height of the cochlea, the angle between the cochlear base and the promontorial wall, were calculated. These parameters were compared in different age groups. A correlation was determined for each of the studied parameters and for the depth of intracochlear insertion of electrodes. There was a significant correlation between DCB and the depth of insertion of the electrodes of CI22M and CI24M cochlear implants. DBC at which the active part of the electrode chain of an implant could be significantly more frequently placed in the tympanic scala of the cochlea was estimated.  相似文献
