The main functional parameters of blood stored at +4 degrees C in ACD, according to the common transfusional practice, have been carefully followed in the course of 40 days. The expected depletion of DPG takes place within 10 days, but apparently, no increase of the Hb affinity towards oxygen is observed in this period (or later), because pH lowering acts in the opposite direction during the same time. However, the intrinsic increased affinity of Hb is promptly revealed if the "actual" pHs are corrected at the standard value of 7.4, and/or are extrapolated at this pH from Bohr effect. 相似文献

Four novel Gram-stain-positive, non spore forming and fructose-6-phosphate phosphoketolase-positive strains were isolated from the faeces of a cotton top tamarin (Saguinus oedipus) and an emperor tamarin (Saguinus imperator). Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA revealed that bifidobacterial strains TRE 1T exhibit close phylogenetic relatedness to Bifidobacterium catulorum DSM 103154 (96.0%) and Bifidobacterium tissieri DSM 100201 (96.0%); TRE DT and TRE HT were closely related to Bifidobacterium longum subsp. longum ATCC 15708T with similarity values of 97.4% and 97.5%, respectively; TRI 7T was closely related to Bifidobacterium tissieri DSM 100201 (96.0%). The Average Nucleotide Identity (ANI) and in silico DDH (isDDH) analysis with closest neighbour supported an independent phylogenetic position of all strains with values ranged from 74 to 85% for ANI and from 24 to 28% for isDDH. DNA base composition of the four strains was in the range of 58.3–63.5 mol% G + C. Based on the phylogenetic, genotypic and phenotypic data, the strains TRE 1T, TRE DT, TRE HT and TRI 7T clearly represent four novel taxa within the genus Bifidobacterium for which the names Bifidobacterium primatium sp. nov. (type strain TRE 1T = DSM 100687T = JCM 30945T), Bifidobacterium scaligerum sp. nov. (type strain TRE DT = DSM 103140T = JCM 31792T), Bifidobacterium felsineum sp. nov. (type strain TRE HT = DSM 103139T = JCM 31789T) and Bifidobacterium simiarum sp. nov. (type strain TRI 7T = DSM 103153T = JCM 31793) are proposed. 相似文献

- Since tropical trees often have long generation times and relatively small reproductive populations, breeding systems and genetic variation are important for population viability and have consequences for conservation. Miconia albicans is an obligate, diplosporous, apomictic species widespread in the Brazilian Cerrado, the savanna areas in central Brazil and elsewhere in the Neotropics. The genetic variability would be, theoretically, low within these male‐sterile and possibly clonal populations, although some variation would be expected due to recombination during restitutional meiosis.
- We used ISSR markers to assess genetic diversity of M. albicans and to compare with other tropical trees, including invasive species of Melastomataceae. A total of 120 individuals from six populations were analysed using ten ISSR primers, which produced 153 fully reproducible fragments.
- The populations of M. albicans presented mean Shannon's information index (I) of 0.244 and expected heterozygosity (He) of 0.168. Only two pairs of apparently clonal trees were identified, and genetic diversity was relatively high. A hierarchical amova for all ISSR datasets showed that 74% of the variance was found among populations, while only 26% of the variance was found within populations of this species. Multivariate and Bayesian analyses indicated marked separation between the studied populations.
- The genetic diversity generated by restitutional meiosis, polyploidy and possibly other genome changes may explain the morpho‐physiological plasticity and the ability of these plants to differentiate and occupy such a wide territory and different environmental conditions. Producing enormous amounts of bird‐dispersed fruits, M. albicans possess weedy potential that may rival other Melastomataceae alien invaders.

1. The activity of l-asparaginase was very low in the liver of newborn rats and mice, and increased within a few days of birth. 2. In rats, but not in mice, the enzyme activity was higher in females than in males, was enhanced by administration of oestradiol, and was decreased by gonadectomy. 3. The enzyme activity decreased in mice starved or fed on a low-protein diet; in rats it was enhanced by starvation, by feeding them on a high-protein diet, or by administration of l-asparagine. 4. The use of doped silk fibroin (SF) films and substrates from Bombyx mori cocoons for green nanotechnology and biomedical applications has been recently highlighted. Cocoons from coloured strains of B. mori, such as Golden‐Yellow, contain high levels of pigments that could have a huge potential for the fabrication of SF based biomaterials targeted to photonics, optoelectronics and neuroregenerative medicine. However, the features of extracted and regenerated SF from cocoons of B. mori Golden‐Yellow strain have never been reported. Here we provide a chemophysical characterization of regenerated silk fibroin (RSF) fibers, solution, and films obtained from cocoons of a Golden‐Yellow strain of B. mori, by SEM, 1H‐NMR, HPLC, FT‐IR, Raman and UV‐Vis spectroscopy. We found that the extracted solution and films from B. mori Golden‐Yellow fibroin displayed typical Raman spectroscopic and optical features of carotenoids. HPLC‐analyses revealed that lutein was the carotenoid contained in the fiber and RSF biopolymer from yellow cocoons. Notably, primary neurons cultured on yellow SF displayed a threefold higher neurite length than those grown of white SF films. The results we report pave the way to expand the potential use of yellow SF in the field of neuroregenerative medicine and provide green chemistry approaches in biomedicine. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Addition of 3 M NaCl to 72-h cultures of Penicillium fellutanum in 2 mM phosphate resulted in an increase in percentage of extracellular peptidophosphogalactomannan III (pPxGMiii) and a decrease in that of pPxGMii. The magnitude of 31P nuclear magnetic resonance signals at 1.47 and 1.33 ppm of phospho-1-O-[N-peptidyl-(2-aminoethanol)] phosphodiesters pPxGMii and pPxGMiii decreased compared with controls. The data suggest that serine, glycine, and threonine residues from the 3-kDa peptide and from galactofuranosyl-6-O-phospho-1′-O-[N-peptidyl-(2-aminoethanol)] residues were the precursors of the needed choline-derived osmolytes. 相似文献

Tollip plays an important role in the interleukin-1 receptor IL-1R and Toll pathways. As a modulator of the immune pathway, it indirectly controls the amount of antimicrobial peptides. This could indicate a vital step in maintaining animal immune systems and preventing infection. Evolutionary questions are crucial to understanding the conservation and functioning of the biochemical pathways like the Tollip-mediated one. Through an analysis of 36 sequences of the Tollip protein from different animal taxa, downloaded from Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) databank, we inferred diverse evolutionary parameters, such as molecular selection and structure conservation, by analyzing residue by residue, beyond the canonical parameters to this type of study, as maximum likelihood trees. We found that Tollip presented different trends in its evolving history. In primates, the protein is becoming more unstable, just the opposite is observed in the arthropod group. The most interesting finding was the concentration of positively selected residues at amino terminal ends. Some observed topological incongruences in maximum likelihood trees of complete and curated Tollip data sets could be explained through horizontal transfers, evidenced by recombination detection. These results suggest that there is more to be researched and understood about this protein. 相似文献

A number of beta carbolines were found to interact at brain benzodiazepine sites . The compounds we evaluated had affinities in the low nanomolar range and had Hill slopes less than unity. In addition to being potential antagonists at benzodiazepine receptors, they may specifically label the BZ1 site. After intravenous administration, these compounds antagonized benzodiazepine actions in the cat spinal cord and in a mouse free behavioral model.
