The influence of the submerged plants Ceratophyllum demersum L. and Elodea canadensis Michx. and the floating plant Hydrocharis morsus-ranae L. on the species composition and quantitative parameters of a zooplankton community was studied experimentally. Among submerged vegetation, the development of the predaceous calanid Heterocope saliens Lilljeborg was suppressed. An increase in the number of zooplankter species was observed in all experimental ecosystems with hydrophytes. The species similarity of zooplankton was higher between communities with plants of the same ecological group than with plants of different groups. The highest average zooplankton biomass, as determined by the abundance of Daphnia longispina O.F. Müller and Simocephalus vetulus (O.F. Müller), was observed in experiments with Elodea. The highest average abundance over the experimental period was recorded among Ceratophyllum, where the abundance of Rotifera, chydorids, and copepods common in hydrophyte beds was higher than in other versions of the experiment.  相似文献

The avian recombinant adenovirus of serotype 1 (CELO) was obtained. The recombinant adenovirus of serotype 1 (CELO) induces expression of human beta-interferon (IB). The expression cassette containing IB gene was placed at the right end of the CELO genome under control of hybrid promoter hEF-1alpha/HTLV. The resulting recombinant adenovirus CELO-IB transduced the avian cell culture LMH. The level of production of the recombinant IB was 0.15 micro/ml. The IB protein yield after affine chromatography purification using Ni-NTA agarose was 50%. The biological activity of the purified IB was high (7.8 x 10(8) MU/microg protein). The purified IB inhibited replication of murine encephalomyocarditis virus (VMEC) in cell culture of human diploid fibroblasts (HDF). Thus, expression system based on avian cell culture is an effective system for producing biologically active protein of human interferon beta.  相似文献

The ratio of neuron populations expressing either tyrosine hydroxylase or aromatic L-amino acid decarboxylase, which are enzymes of dopamine synthesis, was estimated quantitatively in the accurate nucleus of male and female rats on the 21st day of intrauterine development, the 9th day of postnatal development, and in adult animals. The enzymes in neurons were revealed by double immunocytochemical labeling, followed by identification under a fluorescence microscope. At all the developmental stages, three neuron populations differing in the expression of these enzymes were revealed. By the end of the prenatal period, most of the neurons (99%) contained only one of the enzymes, and the proportion of neurons expressing both enzymes (dopaminergic neurons) did not exceed 1%. During postnatal development, the proportion of neurons with one enzyme proved to decrease, whereas that of dopaminergic neurons increased. However, the latter proportion, even in adult animals, did not exceed 50% of the total number of neurons expressing the enzymes of dopamine synthesis. Thus, the population of neurons expressing both enzymes increases during rat ontogeny, whereas the number of neurons expressing only one enzyme decreases.  相似文献

The photosynthetic cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. strain PCC6803 possesses homologs of known genes of the non-mevalonate 2-C-methyl-D-erythritol 2-phosphate (MEP) pathway for synthesis of isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP) and dimethylallyl diphosphate (DMAPP). Isoprenoid biosynthesis in extracts of this cyanobacterium, measured by incorporation of radiolabeled IPP, was not stimulated by pyruvate, an initial substrate of the MEP pathway in Escherichia coli, or by deoxyxylulose-5-phosphate, the first pathway intermediate in E. coli. However, high rates of IPP incorporation were obtained with addition of dihydroxyacetone phosphate (DHAP) and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate (GA3P), as well as a variety of pentose phosphate cycle compounds. Fosmidomycin (at 1 micro M and 1 mM), an inhibitor of deoxyxylulose-5-phosphate reductoisomerase, did not significantly inhibit phototrophic growth of the cyanobacterium, nor did it affect [(14)C]IPP incorporation stimulated by DHAP plus GA3P. To date, it has not been possible to unequivocally demonstrate IPP isomerase activity in this cyanobacterium. The combined results suggest that the MEP pathway, as described for E. coli, is not the primary path by which isoprenoids are synthesized under photosynthetic conditions in Synechocystis sp. strain PCC6803. Our data support alternative routes of entry of pentose phosphate cycle substrates derived from photosynthesis.  相似文献

Interferon (IF) was synthesized in animals by diverse populations of immunocytes in response to induction by various low molecular weight aromatic hydrocarbons. The level of the involvement of either population of the immunocytes in IF production is determined by the chosen inductor. IF induction by acridanone L-1 was mainly observed in macrophages and B-lymphocytes. T-Cells actively participated in IF synthesis induced by amyxin, a representative of the fluorenone group. IF synthesized by lymphocytes of human peripheral blood in response to L-1 was completely neutralized by antiserum to alpha-IF while IF induced by amyxin in the same culture was a mixture of alpha- and beta-IFs at a ratio of 3:1.  相似文献

The quantities of 125I-ds-inductors of interferon penetrating into the cells of transplantable cultures such as M19 (human fibroblast cells) and L-929 (mouse line) were not significant i.e. 10.5-4 per cent of the drug added. Under conditions of transfection with calcium phosphate and in complex with DEAE dextran the quantities of the inductors adhering to the cells and their contents in the cytoplasmic and nuclear fractions markedly increased. During the transfection with calcium phosphate up to 50 per cent of the applied inductor bound to the cells and its content in the cytoplasm and nuclei reached at least 10 per cent. After penetration into the cells poly I.poly C probably maintained its native structure and appeared to be firmly bound to the nuclear material. Preliminarily hydrolyzed inductors showed no such penetrating capacity. Contrary to the human fibroblast cells, in the mouse cells L-929 treated with the ds-inductors there was observed inhibition of the total protein synthesis which was probably due to activation of enzymes such as 2-5A-synthetase and proteinkinase. Increased penetration of the ds-inductors into the cells was accompanied by a marked (from 10- to 1000-fold) rise in their antiviral activity and a 2-4-fold rise in their interferon-inducing activity. It was concluded that there was immediate dependence of ds-inductor biological activity manifestation on the level of the inductor penetration into the cells.  相似文献
