[14C]Cholesterol associated with liposomes with or without anionic polypeptidic fraction was administered intravenously to the rat. The cholesterol originated from liposomes including anionic polypeptidic fraction is secreted in bile much later, is stored in liver in higher quantity, and is metabolized into bile salts in lesser quantity during the 4 hr of experimentation than the cholesterol issued from liposomes exempt of anionic polypeptidic fraction. From these results it can be postulated that the cholesterol associated with liposomes containing anionic polypeptidic fraction might be directed in a particular liver pathway.  相似文献

The concentrations of a number of metals were determined in the brain, bone, kidney, liver, and lung of 20 autopsied subjects who had lived, at least 10 years, in the neighborhood of a hazardous waste incinerator (HWI) in Tarragona (Catalonia, Spain). Results were compared with those obtained in 1998 (baseline survey) and previous surveys (2003 and 2007). Arsenic, Be, Ni, Tl, and V showed concentrations below the corresponding detection limits in all tissues. Cadmium showed the highest levels in the kidney, with a mean value of 21.15 μg/g. However, Cd was found below the detection limit in the brain and bone. Chromium showed similar concentrations in the kidney, brain, and lung (range of mean values, 0.57–0.66 μg/g) and higher in the bone (1.38 μg/g). In turn, Hg was below the detection limit in all tissues with the exception of the kidney, where the mean concentration was 0.15 μg/g (range, <0.05–0.58 μg/g). On the other hand, Mn could be detected in all tissues showing the highest levels in the liver and kidney (1.45 and 1.09 μg/g, respectively). Moreover, Pb showed the highest concentrations in bone (mean, 1.39 μg/g; range, <0.025–4.88 μg/g). Finally, Sn could be detected only in some tissue samples, reaching the highest values in the bone (0.17 μg/g). The current metal levels in human tissues from individuals living near the HWI of Tarragona are comparable and of a similar magnitude to previously reported results corresponding to general populations, as well as those of our previous surveys.  相似文献

The Psilotrichidae are a family of middle‐sized hypotrichs with unique morphological and ontogenetic features (e.g. the oral primordium develops in a deep pouch) that, however, did not provide a definite phylogenetic signal. Thus, we studied the 18S rRNA gene of Urospinula succisa (Müller 1786) Esteban et al., 2001 as well as the morphology and ontogenesis of Psilotrichides hawaiiensis, a new genus and species from an ephemeral swamp on Oahu Island, Hawaii. The molecular data classify the psilotrichids into the oxytrichids but without clear branching position. A brief revision, using the structure of the oral apparatus, the location of the contractile vacuole, and three ontogenetic features, showed four distinct genera: Psilotricha Stein, 1859; Urospinula Corliss, 1960; Hemiholosticha Gelei, 1954; and Psilotrichides nov. gen., which differs from the confamilials mainly by the obliquely oriented buccal cavity and the shape of the undulating membranes as well as by a distinct ridge along the right buccal margin. The pyriform species, P. hawaiiensis, is about 65 × 45 μm in size and is easily recognized by the table tennis racket‐shaped appearance due to the elongated last cirrus of the left marginal row. Refined diagnoses are provided for the family Psilotrichidae Bütschli, 1889 and the genera contained.  相似文献

The use of organic fertilizers and liquid supplements for crop production is rapidly growing as an alternative system to conventional agriculture. However, very little is known about the public health issues related to pathogens. This study endeavors to identify the important zoonotic pathogens with the current molecular diagnostic tools, Loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) and Recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA), against the conventional pathogen detection. These cost-effective molecular techniques have proven to be confirmatory tests of the target pathogens present in organic fertilizers and liquid supplements, which recommends an advancement for the comprehensive field surveillance-response approach in many developing countries with resource-limited settings quality assurance and safety implementation of organic biosolids for sustainable agricultural farming.  相似文献
