Rhythmical structure of forced swimming was studied on rats. Reserpine (1 mg/kg, 24 h before testing), clonidine (150 mkg/kg) and prolonged repeated striatal stimulation induced behavioural depression with reorganization of swimming rhythm and increase of short cycles (less than 6 s) of immobility. After chronic administration of antidepressants (imipramine, amitriptyline, niamid, 10 mg/kg/day, during 14 days), on the contrary, the number of these cycles diminished, while the number of active swimming cycles increased. Chrono-biological "index of depression" is suggested to express more exactly behavioural depression and specific activity of antidepressants than usual registration of immobility time.  相似文献

The interaction of Eco dam methylase with various synthetic oligonucleotide substrates was investigated. The "imperfect" duplexes contained a normal GATC recognition sequence in one chain of the enzyme recognition site and had some defects in the complementary chain, i.e., the absence of one or several nucleotide residues or the presence of S-methyl thiophosphate groups at the 3'-termini. The 3'-S-methyl thiophosphate residue has the same effect on the methylation of oligonucleotide complexes as does the absence of internucleotide phosphate in the analogous complexes. The presence of both GA dinucleotides in the recognition site is necessary for a productive enzyme-substrate interaction. The experimental data suggest that Eco dam methylase does form a symmetrical enzyme-substrate complex which is similar to that formed by type II restriction enzymes.  相似文献

Recovery cycles of the auditory brainstem responses were studied in the bottle-nosed dolphin, Tursiops truncatus, using paired acoustic clicks. The recovery time was longer if both clicks had identical spectra (50% recovery at 0.9 ms), as compared with that of different spectra (50% recovery at 0.35 ms). These results can explain a different recovery time of evoked responses after an artificial sound and after own locating one.  相似文献

Under the conditions of continuous cultivation studies were carried out on a mixed culture (association) with two strains of yeasts: Candida sp., assimilating animal fats, and Candida scottii, assimilating reducing sugars. A complex nutrient medium of wood hydrolysate was used. It was established that in this medium, at a rate of dilution of D = 0.25 h?1, the mixed culture assimilates the fats and the sugars simultaneously. As a result of this the yield of absolutely dry yeasts with regard to the total sum of fats and sugars amounts to 71% in the case of incineration fat and to 82% in the case of technical pork fat. The contents of protein, amino acids, lipids and ashy substances in the yeasts obtained from a medium with fats do not differ substantially from those obtained from the same medium without fats.  相似文献

A study was made on normal human subjects, using a stabilograph to investigate changes in posture produced in response to transcutaneous galvanic stimulation of the right labyrinth. Results were obtained for different head positions and under the illusion of head and trunk rotation produced by stimulating (vibrating) the gulteus maximus muscle. In the absence of illusion of movement, the direction of the vestibulomotor response was determined by the position of the head in relation to the feed: with the normal head position, the body swayed on a frontal plane, and on a sagittal plane when the heat turned through 90°. Vestibulomotor responses were sagittally oriented, as with real head turning, when illusory head and trunk turning through 90° was produced by vibration. When the illusion of head rotation (in relation to the feet) was not produced by this stimulus, the direction of the postural response was not produced by this stimulus, the direction of the postural response was determined by the real orientation of the head. The object of the work was to study changes in the ultrastructure of Candida utilis cells induced by increasing concentrations of glucose during chemostat cultivation and continuous cultivation with glucose pulse feeding. The results indicate that the cell structure and metabolism change vectorially with an increase of glucose concentration regardless of how glucose was added. An increase of the input glucose concentration is followed by an increase in the periplasmic space, the content of glycogen, the length and diameter of mitochondria, and the size of the nucleus. However, in the case of glucose pulse feeding, the above changes in the cell structure occur at a considerably lower input concentration as compared to the chemostat culture. Under these conditions, microtubuli are assembled in the cytoplasm in response to the glucose stimulus.  相似文献

The first natural occurrence of 19-norcholestenone is reported, together with 17 sterols and one other delta 4-3-ketone in the extracts of the Californian gorgonian, Muricea californica (Aurivillius). Six additional demethyl sterols and five additional 4-monomethyl sterols which remain unidentified were also detected. Lipid extracts of M. californica from a winter and summer collection were split by various chromatographic methods into free sterol, steryl ester, and steryl conjugate fractions. Sterol compositions (determined by CG and CG-MS) of each fraction, subsequent to hydrolysis, are tabulated and discussed with respect to plausible origins of observed variations. The possible relationship of the Muricea 19-nor-steroidal ketone to other naturally occurring 19-nor-steroids is discussed.  相似文献
