Distribution of calcium-binding proteins (CaBPr) parvalbumin (PV) and calbindin (CB) in the thalamic auditory center (nucleus ovoidalis, Ov) was studied in the pigeon (Columba livia). Two parts of Ov were distinguished on the basis of their cytoarchitectonics and distribution of PV and CB immunoreactivity. The central lemniscal region (core, nCe) contains both dense PV-ir neuropil and PV-ir neurons overlapped with scant CB-ir neuropil and weaker stained CB-ir neurons. The peripheral extralemniscal region (belt), consisting of peri/paraovoidal nuclei (Ovl, Ovm, SPO), contains only CB-ir neuropil and strongly stained CB-ir neurons morphologically differing from CB-ir neurons in the nCe. A comparative analysis of our data on the distribution of PV and CB immunoreactivity in the thalamic auditory relay center in pigeons and related literature data obtained on other avian, reptilian and mammalian species indicates high evolutionary conservatism of its extralemniscal region across all sauropside amniotеs and mammals in contrast to plasticity of its central lemniscal region due to adaptive, ecologically dependent transformations during the evolution.  相似文献

Hydrogen peroxide is shown to change the fluorescence of β-carotene and chlorophyll a as well as various mixtures of the pigments in Langmuir films and in complex with bovine serum albumin in water solution. Similar effects were shown for zinc etioporphyrin II in the films. No shifts of the fluorescence peaks were registered in any case.  相似文献

The fluorescence of β-carotene/chlorophyll a mixtures in complex with bovine serum albumin in water solution was found to exceed that of one-pigment complexes, being maximal at initial Car/Chl molar ratios of 8–4, whereas the amount of pigment adsorbed on BSA was maximal for an equimolar mixture. The fluorescence spectra of Car-BSA and Chl-BSA complexes largely overlapped (maxima at 684 and 690 nm, respectively).  相似文献

By absorption spectroscopy method optical properties of gold nanorods (10x38 nm) and their interaction with globular protein bovine hemoglobin and bovine serum albumin were investigated. Nanorods behavior was studied in water solution and in solution of 97 mM NaCl under ultrasound action during 90 min and results were then compared. In water solutions nanorods coagulation (aggregation) was observed with reduced optical density of the longitudinal plasmon band widening at lamda>800 nm. In NaCI solution absorption spectra evolution had complex character and was in some degree analogous to the result that was obtained for two-dimensional grids of gold nanoparticles when changing the distance between them. By interacting with serum albumin stabilization of colloid solution and dissociation of nanorods aggregates were observed.  相似文献

We have developed microcarriers made from silk fibroin. Microcarriers can be used as a substrate for cell cultivation and cell delivery during cell-based therapy and for the construction of bioengineered tissue. Fibroin microcarriers were mineralized, which led to the appearance of calcium phosphate crystals on their surface. The ability of mineralized and nonmineralized microcarriers to support osteogenic differentiation of the osteoblast-like cell line MG-63 was estimated by alkaline phosphatase activity, an early marker of bone formation. The experiment showed cells actively proliferating on the surface of both mineralized and nonmodified microcarriers. Culturing MG-63 on the surface of fibroin microcarriers resulted in an increase of alkaline phosphatase activity indicative of osteogenic differentiation of MG-63 cells in the absence of inductors. The level of alkaline phosphatase was higher when mineralized microcarriers were used. Alkaline phosphatase activity of MG-63 cells cultivated using traditional two-dimensional approaches were close to zero. As opposed to conventional monolayer culturing, microcarrier culture cells are in a three-dimensional environment that is closer to physiological conditions. This can have a significant impact on their morphology and functional properties. During this study, we also characterized mechanical properties of porous scaffolds used for microcarriers.  相似文献

Formation of a complex between alpha-tocopherol or its analogues in the excited state and fatty acids or their hydroperoxides has been suggested basing on the fluorescence quenching experimental data.
