The incubation of microsomes damaged by Fe2+--ascorbate-dependent lipid peroxidation with phosphatidylcholine liposomes and micelles is accompanied by the rate decrease of the reduced cytochrome P450 inactivation in microsome membranes. It indicates the elimination of lipid bilayer injuries. The results of study of the saturation degree, surface charge and size of liposomes and micelles influence on the ability to reconstruct the damaged lipid bilayer are presented.  相似文献

Norway rats have been selected during 20 generations by the absence of aggressive reaction to man (tamed rats). From 7 up to 20th generations of selection, different forms of aggressive behaviour (reaction to glove, intermale, shock-induced aggression and predatory aggression) were studied, and the level of noradrenaline, serotonin and its metabolite 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid was determined in the brain. In the absence of aggressive reaction to glove in tamed rats, the shock-induced aggression considerably decreased while the predatory aggressiveness (mouse-killing behaviour) and intermale aggressiveness did not change. Beginning from 15-16th generation of selection, a higher level of the 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid in the hypothalamus was established, in the 20th generation an increased content of serotonin was revealed in the hypothalamus and the midbrain. In some generations of selection an increased level of noradrenaline in the hypothalamus in comparison to wild rats was observed. A conclusion is made that the selection of animals by taming unequally influences different kinds of aggressiveness and is accompanied by inherited consolidated reorganization of the monoamine brain systems.  相似文献

Sorex araneus, the Common shrew, is a species with more than 70 karyotypic races, many of which form parapatric hybrid zones, making it a model for studying chromosomal speciation. Hybrids between races have reduced fitness, but microsatellite markers have demonstrated considerable gene flow between them, calling into question whether the chromosomal barriers actually do contribute to genetic divergence. We studied phenotypic clines across two hybrid zones with especially complex heterozygotes. Hybrids between the Novosibirsk and Tomsk races produce chains of nine and three chromosomes at meiosis, and hybrids between the Moscow and Seliger races produce chains of eleven. Our goal was to determine whether phenotypes show evidence of reduced gene flow at hybrid zones. We used maximum likelihood to fit tanh cline models to geometric shape data and found that phenotypic clines in skulls and mandibles across these zones had similar centers and widths as chromosomal clines. The amount of phenotypic differentiation across the zones is greater than expected if it were dissipating due to unrestricted gene flow given the amount of time since contact, but it is less than expected to have accumulated from drift during allopatric separation in glacial refugia. Only if heritability is very low, Ne very high, and the time spent in allopatry very short, will the differences we observe be large enough to match the expectation of drift. Our results therefore suggest that phenotypic differentiation has been lost through gene flow since post-glacial secondary contact, but not as quickly as would be expected if there was free gene flow across the hybrid zones. The chromosomal tension zones are confirmed to be partial barriers that prevent differentiated races from becoming phenotypically homogenous.  相似文献

Ontogenetic instability was studied in four rodent species (Ellobius talpinus, Microtus arvalis, M. rossiaemeridionalis, Mus musculus). It was measured by fluctuating asymmetry (FA) of 21 craniometric characters. Each species was represented by two populations differing in average level of chromosomic instability and in degree of anthropogenic influence. Relation between FA and individual age was observed in none of the studied species. The level of cranial structure FA in rodents is probably formed during embryogeny or early postnatal ontogeny and is not changing significantly during the further development. The studied species showed distinct differences in the degree of ontogenetic instability of the axial skull, but not of the mandible. No connection was found between craniometric character FA and technogenic stress. The differences of cranial FA level among the studied species of rodents agree with their systematic position and the sequence of their evolutionary divergence.  相似文献

Irradiation of cancer cells by non-ionizing millimeter waves (MMW) causes increased cell mortality. We examined if MMW have toxic effects on healthy mice. To that end, the skin of healthy C57BL/6 mice was irradiated locally at the right flank with 101 GHz MMW in a pulsed (5–10 µs) regime using a free electron laser. Irradiation was performed in a dose-dependent manner, with 20–50 pulses and a power range of 0.5–1.5 kW. Physical, physiological, and pathological parameters as well as behavior were examined before and after irradiation. Our results showed that all parameters were within normal range for all experimental mice groups and for the control group. No significant changes were noted in the physical, physiological, or behavioral status of the mice following irradiation as compared with the control group. In addition, no significant changes were found in locomotor, exploratory behavior, or anxiety of the irradiated mice and no pathological changes were noted following the hematological and biochemical blood analysis. Relative thymus weight was estimated in C3H/He, C57BL/6 mice, their F1 and backcross hybrids, as well as in the progeny of complete diallel crosses between the BALB/c, C3H/He, C57BL/6 and AKR/J strains. On the basis of the analysis of these measurements, a conclusion is drawn that this character is inherited with incomplete dominance of smaller relative weight. The genes determining greater thymus weight are concentrated in the genetic pool of AKR/J and C57BL/6 strains. These genes are characterized by some degree of recessivity with respect to the genes determining smaller thymus weight which are concentrated in the genetic pool of C3H/He and BALB/c strains. The highest concentration of the "plus" and "minus" genes is found in the genetic pools of AKR/J and C3H/He strains respectively.  相似文献

Behavior of progeny of complete diallel crossing between 4 inbred strains of mice (BALB/c, C3H/He, C57BL/6, AKR/J) in a stressful situation was studied. As a model of stressful situation, the open field test was used. A statistically significant influence of genotype on the variability of the behaviour characteristics is found. On the basis of analysis of general combining ability of the strains, a hypothesis is made that in the gene pool of BALB/c and C3H/He strains there are concentrated some genes of additive effect, which increase the strength of emotional reactions of mice in a stressful situation, while in the gene pool of C57BL/6 and AKR/J there are genes of opposite effect. An analysis of the specific combining ability demonstrates that an important role in the control of features characterizing the exploratory activity of mice is played by non-additive gene effects, in particular, the effects of over-dominance. Significant genotypic correlations between the rate of sexual maturation of female mice and their behaviour in stressful situation were observed. The mice which mature earlier are more reactive to the stressing effect of a strange environment.  相似文献

The number of chiasmata per cell and variance of chiasmata numbers were studied, as well as the recombinational interaction between different bivalents in CBA/Lac mice male line. No competition of bivalents for chiasmata was discovered in mice; at the same time, the chiasmata within one arm of the chromosome interfere with each other. The number of chiasmata per bivalent is estimated for each chromosome independently. The number of chiasmata per chromosome is limited both from below (minimum one chiasma independently of its size) and from above (positive interference of chiasmata).  相似文献

The genetic variability of burbot (Lota lota L., 1758) inhabiting the Ob-Irtysh and Taz river basins in Western Siberia has been studied based on the polymorphism of the hypervariable fragment of mtDNA control region (407 bp). The analysis of 134 fish samples revealed 30 haplotypes, 23 of which were new. Among haplotypes, previously detected in Eurasia and North America, EB30 was the most frequently found in Western Siberia (45.5% frequency). The results of our study are in agreement with previous research pointing to the genetic differentiation of two burbot subspecies, L. l. lota and L. l. maculosa, and indicate that burbot inhabiting the Ob-Irtysh and Taz river basins belong to the Eurasian-Beringian clade (nominative subspecies L. l. lota). However, a high genetic diversity of burbot in Western Siberia, along with a relatively high differentiation of burbot groups within studied territory, points to a regional specificity of burbot population.  相似文献
