Data are presented on the functional morphology of the hypothalamo-hypophysial neurosecretory system of cats in stimulation of the cervical sympathetic nerve and of the afferent fibers of the vagus. Stimulation of the sympathetic nerve selectively activated the supraoptic nucleus and caused the discharge of the neurohormones from the posterior lobe of the hypophysis, whereas its infundibular portion contained much neurosecretory material. In response to the stimulation of the vagus all the portions of the neurohypophysis were released of the Gomori-positive substance; both the supraoptic and the paraventricular nucleus were activated. 相似文献

Differences of thermostability were studied in red blood cells of the trout Salmo irideus differing in sex and age, as well as structural-dynamic characteristics of erythrocyte membrane proteins at seasonal acclimatization in the interval of reservoir water temperature of 0–19°C. An increase of resistance of erythrocytes to temperature lysis with elevation of the environmental temperature was revealed to be accompanied by a rise of the proteins segmental mobility and a decrease of intermolecular interactions in spectrin-actin cytoskeleton from the data of the ESR spin labeling method. Regulation of erythrocyte stability during acclimation was concluded to occur both changes of the fatty acids chain package at the variations of lipid composition and by changes of the cytoskeleton structural lability. Thereby this provides an increase of the bilayer firmness, on the one hand, while, on the other hand, a rise of elasticity and expansibility of the membrane on the whole, which increases resistance of cells to colloidal-osmotic hemolysis. Changes of concentration of oxygen dissolved in water, which are caused by temperature fluctuations, do not deem to be of crucial importance for structural stability of erythrocytes, as it can be compensated by another mechanism, specifically by changes of affinity of hemoglobin to oxygen. 相似文献

It has been found that the recombinant leukemia inhibitory factor (rLIF) induces jumps of current in bilayer lipid membranes, which indicates formation of ion channels. Some properties of these channels (dependence on voltage and sign of potential, ionic strength of solution, and lipid composition) were studied. Conformational analysis of four stranded DNA helices poly(dT).poly(dA).poly(dA).poly(dT) with parallel arrangement of the identical sugar-phosphate chains connected by twofold symmetry has been performed. All possible models of symmetrical base binding were checked. By the potential energy optimization the dihedral angles and helices parameters of stable conformations of four stranded polynucleotides were calculated. The dependences of conformational energy on the base complex structure and mutual orientation of the poly(dA).and poly(dT) chains were studied. Insertion of 48 amino acid long sequence of envelope protein gp51 of bovine leukemia virus (BLV), located from position 56 till 103 of mature protein, into Pro144 position of hepatitis B core antigen (HBcAg) leads to the formation of chimeric capsids. These capsids preserve morphology of intact HBcAg but expose on their outer surface BLV epitopes which are localised in the inserted gp51 fragment and responsible for the recognition of chimeras by monoclonal anti-gp51 antibodies MAK14. The anti-genicity of gp51 epitopes within chimeric capsids is not disturbed after shortening of C terminal part of inserted gp51 fragment by deletion of amino acids 73-103. The resulting chimeras show the same capsid-forming ability as well as HBcAg and gp51 antigenic properties. 相似文献

Polymorphic d(GT)n microsatellite sequences are known to drastically affect genes expression. By use of CD spectroscopy, UV melting, fluorescence polarization of EtBr probe and FRET, we detected formation of a new fold with three G-quartets by d(GT)12 oligonucleotide in 0.01 M Na phosphate buffer, pH 8.0, in the presence 0.1 M KCl. Monomolecular type of the structure was verified with measurements of rotational relaxation time (p = 28 +/- 0.5 ns) of EtBr:d(GT)12 complex. CD spectra supported G-quartets formation. A distance between FITC, covalently attached to 5'-end of d(GT)12, and intercalated EtBr molecule was estimated using FRET (R < or =17 A). These data are in agreement with the proposed self folding of d(GT)12. 相似文献
