There is a membrane progesterone receptor in Xenopus laevis oocytes that undergo meiosis under steroid exposure. Early responses include a decrease of leucine uptake, a decrease of adenylate cyclase and alkaline phosphatase activities, and a decrease of the phosphorylation of a specific p48 protein in the membrane. These results are compatible with a decrease of membrane fluidity brought about by the hormonal message. However the above-cited effects as well as the Ca2+-changes are not yet enough well understood to be able to precisely delineate their role in meiosis reinitiation.  相似文献

In order to examine glucose metabolism in liver grafts after cold ischemia and reperfusion, the heterogeneous lobular distribution pattern of glycogen content was studied using histochemical quantitative analysis. In most of the cases, this heterogeneous pattern of glycogen was observed after preservation and reperfusion. However, a 42% reduction of glycogen content, expressed as the ratio between stained surface and total surface of liver biopsies, was observed in biopsies after reperfusion. Moreover, both periportal and centrilobular hepatocytes showed a significant decrease in mean optical density after reperfusion (18% and 25%, respectively). The comparison of our results to early postoperative liver function tests and cold ischemia times showed no significant correlation (p<0.05).  相似文献

Subjects detected weak solutions of sucrose or citric acid under conditions in which attention was directed toward one of the tastants or the other. Detection thresholds were measured using an adaptive, forced-choice procedure, with a three-down one-up rule, which computer simulations suggest should be more reliable than the popular two-down one-up rule. The thresholds were modestly but systematically lower for attended tastants than for unattended ones. Similar results have been reported in other sense modalities, including vision (greater sensitivity to stimuli presented to attended versus unattended spatial locations) and hearing (greater sensitivity to stimuli presented at attended versus unattended sound frequencies). Taken together, the findings are consistent with a general hypothesis regarding attention in sensory systems: gains or losses in detectability occur when a central attentional mechanism (or, conceivably, a preattentive mechanism) selectively and preferentially monitors signals arising from particular subsets of peripheral neural inputs.   相似文献

本文采用嗉囊内含物显微分析技术系统地研究了内蒙古典型草原蝗虫的选食特性和食物利用诺。根据11种蝗虫嗉囊内含物分析的结果,定量地研究了蝗虫的营养生态位以及生态位的重叠和宽度。11-种蝗虫依据生态位分化的特点,被划分为5个不同的营养需求类群:禾草取食者、禾草-杂草取食者、杂草-禾草取食者、杂草取食者和杂食者。作者通过对蝗虫食性及生物量的研究,提出了蝗虫潜在严重值和实际严重值的概念和计算方法,也就蝗虫在草原生态系统中的相互作用关系及共存关系进行了讨论。  相似文献

ABSTRACT By adding the protein synthesis inhibitor, emetine (10-4 M) to a highly synchronized population of Crypthecodinium cohnii Biecheler 1938 at different phases of its cycle, we were able to determine: 1. The existence and the lengthening of the G2-Phase (30 min) in the first cycle (cycle with swimming G1 phase). 2. The time of the second cell cycle phases (cycle in the cyst): G1, 30 min; S, 1.5 h; G2, 2 h and M, 2 h. These results, together with the estimation of the cell volume of the two and four swimming daughter cells emerging from the cysts, allowed us to state the existence of two transition points: G1/S and G2/M, which are necessary for completion of mitosis. We completed this refined approach of the cell cycle in studying the activities of the histone H1 kinase either in dividing or in non-dividing Crypthecodinium cohnii cells with either total soluble proteins or the isolated mitotic kinase complex. The H1 kinase activity of this purified complex is noticeably higher (twice as high) in the dividing cells than in the non-dividing ones. These data are discussed in the light of the basic characteristics of the dinokaryon, and also compared with recent biochemical observations on the same organism and studies on other higher eukaryotic protists and metazoa.  相似文献

Protein Z (PZ) and factor (F) VII are two important factors in the clotting pathway which have similar structure, linked function and nearby gene sites. The aims of this study were to investigate whether the common variants of PZ and FVII genes are associated with the risk of cerebral hemorrhage (CH) and to explore the combined effects of PZ and FVII polymorphisms for CH risk. We performed genotyping analysis for two single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of FVII (rs510317 and rs6046) and three SNPs of PZ (rs2273971, rs3024718 and rs3024731) both in a population-based case–control study and in a family-based association study. Case–control analysis found no evidence of significant association. But family-based association study revealed that the G allele of PZ rs2273971, and three haplotypes carrying the ‘G’ allele of PZ rs2273971: haplotype GA, CG and CGA of PZ and FVII genes, all had a significant effect on CH susceptibility (Z = 1.882, P = 0.049; Z = 1.922, P = 0.044; Z = 1.826, P = 0.047; Z = 1.977, P = 0.048, respectively). While, the A allele of PZ rs2273971, and four haplotypes carrying or crossing the ‘A’ allele of PZ rs2273971: haplotypes CA, ACAA, ACAT and ACAAT of PZ and FVII genes, may confer protection against CH (Z =?1.882, P = 0.049; Z =?2.000, P = 0.045; Z =?2.319, P = 0.020; Z =?2.002, P = 0.045; Z =?2.015, P = 0.043, respectively). This is a first family-based association study providing genetic evidences that PZ and FVII genes, especially PZ rs2273971 are involved in the development of CH in Han-Chinese families.  相似文献

As pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) cv. Finale and Solara developin the field, pods located at the second flowering node, increasein fresh and dry weight until 75 d after planting (DAP); thereafter,dry weight and moisture content decrease rapidly. Seed developmentconsists of three phases, all limited by low moisture content(MQ. The first phase (PI) corresponds to the formation of theembryo and surrounding structure (MC is stable at 85%). Duringthe second phase (P2) the cotyledons are filled (MC decreasesfrom 84% to 55%). The third phase (P3) entails desiccation onthe mother plant. Fresh and dry weight increase until 75 DAP(55% MC or physiological maturity, PM) and rapidly decreaseduring the third phase until 14% MC. Leakage conductivity ofimmature seeds reflects sap arrival in the testa and accumulationin the apoplast it is important during PI and the onset of P2,but during P2 it decreases slowly until physiological maturityand rapidly thereafter. Immature seed germination is noted from62 DAP, increases until 67 DAP, then decreases with a maximumat physiological maturity; some days after physiological maturitygermination is complete (up to 100%). Seedling growth from immatureseeds during P2 is low, but slowly increases until physiologicalmaturity. When germination (up to 100%) is attained seedlinggrowth is normal. Hydration of the immature seed indicates that55% MC is a highly specific value at which a transition in thehydration rate is occurring. Moisture loss from pea seeds duringthe P2 filling stage appears to be necessary for seed adaptationto the abrupt desiccation which occurs at physiological maturity.Physiological maturity is attained when disruption of the vascularconnection between the pod and the mother-plant occurs.
