Introgressive hybridization is a phenomenon, which takes place in natural conditions, on vast territories, during thousands of years and connected with paleogeographic events. The introgressive hybridization usually involves not only certain pairs of species in a definite region, but many species. Species, pertaining to different specific rows or different sections of genus enter into the introgression. Hybrid forms, having arisen in the process of introgression are of low stability. Change of climatic conditions leads to absorption of hybrid by those ancester-parents, for which this change is most favourable. The absorption by one species edificator of his own hybrid populations reflects the displacement of one vicaring formation by another. The introgressive hybridization, which has been occuring during the tertiary time and has lead to speciation nowadays presented in classification by sectional level (Picea sect. Omorika, Larix sect. Multiseriales), has not created new stable lines of development. Introgressive hybridization in cases known, as well as in examples of Picea and Larix has not opened and is not opening new evolutional perspectives.  相似文献

Testate amoebae species Hoogenraadia humicola, Planhoogenraadia media, and Distomatopyxis couillardiof the Gondwana–tropical and tropical groups have been found for the first time in the territory of Russia. Brown and dark-colored soil of oak forest in Primorskii Krai (Sikhote Alin Reserve, northeast part of the East Asian Holarctic) are the northernmost range of these tropical species. The morphometric data are presented, and the specific composition of the communities and geographical distribution of the tropical group species are discussed. A new species, Planhoogenraadia dauricaBobrov, has been described.  相似文献

Although very little, if any, beta-galactosidase activity is detected in Yersinia pestis by a standard Miller assay, we found that Y. pestis KIM6+ cells formed blue colonies on plates containing 5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-beta-D-galactoside (X-gal). Searches of the Y. pestis genome databases revealed the presence of noncontiguous sequences highly homologous to Escherichia coli lacZ, lacY, and lacI. Yersinia pestis lacZ is predicted to encode a 1060 amino-acid protein with 62% identity and 72% similarity to beta-galactosidase from E. coli. A deletion in the Y. pestis lacZ gene caused the formation of white colonies on X-gal-containing plates and beta-galactosidase activity was at background levels in the KIM6+lacZ mutant, while the complemented strain expressed about 190 Miller units. The Y. pestis lacZ promoter was not regulated by isopropylthiogalactoside or glucose. Finally, uptake of lactose by Y. pestis may be impaired.  相似文献

The results of the first protozoological study in terms of paleoecology of long-term sediments and buried soils formed in the cryolite zone of northeastern Siberia are discussed. The data on testaceans (Protozoa: Testacea) inhabiting various sites of Bykovsky Peninsula, Laptev Sea coast near estuary of Lena, within the last 53000 years (Late Pleistocene and Holocene) are presented.  相似文献

Background and Aims

The Borasseae form a highly supported monophyletic clade in the Arecaceae–Coryphoideae. The fruits of Coryphoideae are small, drupaceous with specialized anatomical structure of the pericarp and berries. The large fruits of borassoid palms contain massive pyrenes, which develop from the middle zone of the mesocarp. The pericarp structure and mode of its development in Borasseae are similar to those of Eugeissona and Nypa. A developmental carpological study of borassoid palms will allow us to describe the process of pericarp development and reveal the diagnostic fruit features of borassoid palms, determine the morphogenetic fruit type in Borasseae genera, and describe similarities in fruit structure and pericarp development with other groups of palms.

Methods

The pericarp anatomy was studied during development with light microscopy based on the anatomical sections of fruits of all eight Borasseae genera.

Key Results

The following general features of pericarp structure in Borasseae were revealed: (1) differentiation of the pericarp starts at early developmental stages; (2) the exocarp is represented by a specialized epidermis; (3) the mesocarp is extremely multilayered and is differentiated into several topographical zones – a peripheral parenchymatous zone(s) with scattered sclerenchymatous elements and vascular bundles, a middle zone (the stony pyrene comprising networks of elongated sclereids and vascular bundles) and an inner parenchymatous zone(s); (4) differentiation and growth of the pyrene tissue starts at early developmental stages and ends long before maturation of the seed; (5) the inner parenchymatous zone(s) of the mesocarp is dramatically compressed by the mature seed; (6) the endocarp (unspecialized epidermis) is not involved in pyrene formation; and (7) the spermoderm is multilayered in Hyphaeninae and obliterated in Lataniinae.

Conclusions

The fruits of Borasseae are pyrenaria of Latania-type. This type of pericarp differentiation is also found only in Eugeissona and Nypa. The fruits of other Coryphoideae dramatically differ from Borasseae by the pericarp anatomical structure and the mode of its development.  相似文献

The dynamics of motor function recovery in a patient with an extensive brain lesion has been investigated during a course of neurorehabilitation assisted by a hand exoskeleton controlled by a brain–computer interface. Biomechanical analysis of the movements of the paretic arm recorded during the rehabilitation course was used for an unbiased assessment of motor function. Fifteen procedures involving hand exoskeleton control (one procedure per week) yielded the following results: (a) the velocity profile for targeted movements of the paretic hand became nearly bell-shaped; (b) the patient began to extend and abduct the hand, which was flexed and adducted at the beginning of the course; and (c) the patient started supinating the forearm, which was pronated at the beginning of the rehabilitation course. The first result is interpreted as improvement of the general level of control over the paretic hand, and the two other results are interpreted as a decrease in spasticity of the paretic hand.  相似文献

In Yersinia pestis, biofilm formation is stimulated by HmsT, a GGDEF-domain containing protein that synthesizes cyclic-di-GMP (c-di-GMP), and inhibited by HmsP, an EAL-domain protein. Only the EAL-domain portion of HmsP is required to inhibit biofilm formation. The EAL domain of HmsP was purified as a 6XHis-tag fusion protein and demonstrated to have phosphodiesterase activity using bis(p-nitrophenyl) phosphate (bis-pNPP) as a substrate. This enzymatic activity was strictly manganese dependent. A critical residue (E506) of HmsP within the EAL domain, that is required for inhibition of biofilm formation, is also essential for this phosphodiesterase activity. While the proposed function of EAL-domain proteins is to linearize c-di-GMP, this is a direct demonstration of the required phosphodiesterase activity of a purified EAL-domain protein.  相似文献
