939. STROBILANTHES GLUTINOSA

Strobilanthes glutinosa is described and illustrated. It is a winter‐flowering species native to the foothills of the northwestern Himalayas. Although frost sensitive, it appears to flourish as a cultivated plant in shaded places enjoying a mild moist climate.
