The 100 MHz PMR spectrum of 5-methoxy-N-methyltryptamine (5MMT) isolated from Phalaris arundinacea is elucidated, acid-induced fluorescence characteristics of 5-methoxy- and 5-hydroxytryptamine alkaloids on Avicel and silica gel TLC are described, and the concentration of 5MMT in P. arundinacea is determined by fluorometric TLC scanning. 相似文献

The unicellular green algaChlorella protothecoides was grown in the presence of various concentrations (30–300 μM) of the herbicide SANDOZ 9785 (4-chloro-5-(dimethylamino)-2-phenyl-3
(2H) pyridazinone). When the cells were grown autotrophically in the presence of the herbicide, there was a decrease in chlorophylls
and carotenoids estimated on culture volume basis compared to the control. The absorption spectra of carotenes and colourless
precursors extracted from photosynthetic particles showed that there was a higher carotenoid precursors/carotene ratio in
the treated cells. Similarly the carotenoid precursors/xanthophyll ratio was increased by SANDOZ 9785 treatment. Chlorophylla synthesis appeared to be inhibited more than chlorophyllb synthesis in SANDOZ 9785 treated cells resulting in a decrease in the chlorophylla/b ratio. 相似文献

Arginine decarboxylase (EC 4.1.1.19) has been purified and characterized from Brassica campestris cv B-9. The enzyme was purified 1120 fold and the recovery was 9%. The mol wt of the enzyme determined by gel filtration was 240 kD with identical subunits of 60 kD. The pH and temperature optima for the enzyme were 8.0 and 30°C respectively. The Km was 0.31mM. Polyamines inhibited the enzyme activity significantly. Immunodiffusion with ADC-specific antibodies showed cross reactivity against purified ADC from Brassica. 相似文献

A fast and simple anion-exchange chromatography method is described for large-scale purification of synthetic oligonucleotides. Using a single matrix and aqueous solvent system, the two-step chromatographic procedure can handle complex separation problems of self-complementary or G-rich sequences without the use of urea or formaldehyde.
