Efficient synthetic methods to produce high‐performance electrode‐active materials are crucial for developing energy storage devices for large‐scale applications, such as hybrid supercapacitors (HSCs). Here, an effective approach to obtain controllable carbon‐encapsulated T‐Nb2O5 nanocrystals (NCs) is presented, based on the solvothermal treatment of NbCl5 in acetophenone. Two separate condensation reactions of acetophenone generate an intimate and homogeneous mixture of Nb2O5 particles and 1,3,5‐triphenylbenzene (TPB), which acts as a unique carbon precursor. The electrochemical performance of the resulting composites as anode electrode materials can be tuned by varying the Nb2O5/TPB ratio. Remarkable performances are achieved for Li‐ion and Na‐ion energy storage systems at high charge–discharge rates (specific capacities of ≈90 mAh g?1 at 100 C rate for lithium and ≈125 mAh g?1 at 20 C for sodium). High energy and power densities are also achieved with Li‐ and Na‐ion HSC devices constructed by using the Nb2O5/C composites as anode and activated carbon (YPF‐50) as cathode, demonstrating the excellent electrochemical properties of the materials synthesized with this approach.  相似文献

Global warming is one of the principal challenges facing insects worldwide. It affects individual species and interactions between species directly through effects on their physiology and indirectly through effects on their habitat. Aphids are particularly sensitive to temperature changes due to certain specific biological features of this group. Effects on individuals have repercussions for aphid diversity and population dynamics. At a pan-European scale, the EXAMINE observation network has provided evidence for an increase in the number of aphid species present over the last 30 years and for earlier spring flights. We review these results and provide a review of the principal effects of global warming on aphid communities.  相似文献

For almost 2 centuries it has been disputed whether Tuber aestivum and Tuber uncinatum constitute two different species of truffles. Molecular markers have been applied previously to contribute to resolving this question, coming to different conclusions. In this study, we address this question by analyzing the genetic structure of truffles assigned to either of the two putative species from a geographically broad sampling across Europe. We used an approach involving multigene phylogenies and coalescent analyses of nine regions from five genes. All tests conducted supported the conspecificity of Tuber aestivum and Tuber uncinatum.  相似文献

The Paleocene of Western Senegal has shown amainly benthonic microfauna; the more characteristic elements of which are the Ostracoda: Cytherella (Cytherelloidea) aff. keijiMac Kenzie, Buntonia aff. attitogonensisApostolescu, Soudanella laciniosaApost., Quadracythere? lagaghiroboensisApost., Evisceratocythere cf. glabellaApost., Some of these species, which have been discovered in Senegal for the first time, have a large stratigraphic distribution. Effectively, they have been already found in Togo, Niger, Nigeria, even Lybia. Particularly, Soudanella laciniosa seems to be a very good Paleocene fossil at least in Africa, from the Mediterranean sea to the Gulf of Guinea. The benthonic Foraminifera are less abundant and badly preserved. In the same way as Ostracoda, they show species already known in the African Paleocene. The assemblage of the microfauna, in accordance with the sedimentological data, reveals the existence of a warm sea, in connection with the open sea, but very shallow, perhaps with periodical emersions (intertidal zone?).  相似文献

Molecular phylogeny reveals the existence of two sibling species in the aphid pest Brachycaudus helichrysi (Hemiptera: Aphididae). —Zoologica Scripta, 41, 266–280. Brachycaudus helichrysi is a worldwide polyphagous aphid pest that seriously damages its primary hosts (Prunus spp.) and the various cultivated plants among its secondary hosts (e.g. sunflower). A recent study of the Brachycaudus genus suggested that this species might encompass two differentiated lineages. We tested this hypothesis, by carrying out a phylogenetic study of this aphid pest based on worldwide sampling and the evaluation of mitochondrial, nuclear and Buchnera aphidicola DNA markers. We show that this species is actually an amalgamation of two sibling taxa, B. helichrysi H1 and B. helichrysi H2, that seem to have overlapping geographic ranges and herbaceous host plant preferences. These two taxa displayed levels of genetic divergence as great as those generally found between sister species in the Brachycaudus genus, suggesting that they actually correspond to two distinct species. Our phylogenetic reconstructions revealed a degree of incongruence between the topologies obtained with the aphid gene data set and with data for a DNA marker from its primary endosymbiont. We identified possible reasons for this observation and discuss the ecological and genotypic data suggesting that B. helichrysi H1 and B. helichrysi H2 have different life cycles.  相似文献

Among the large number of immediate early genes, nuclear proto-oncogenes of the Fos and Jun families, have been postulated to be involved in the long-term effects of several growth factors on cell differentiation and/or multiplication. Since adrenal cell differentiated functions appear to be regulated by specific hormones and growth factors, the effects of these factors on proto-oncogene mRNA levels were analysed in bovine adrenal fasciculata cells (BAC) in culture. Corticotropin (ACTH) and insulin-like growth factor I increased c-fos and jun-B mRNA, but had no effect on c-jun mRNA and these early changes were associated with a later increase in BAC specific function [ACTH receptors, cytochrome P 450 17) and 3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (3β-HSD)] and an enhanced steroidogenic responsiveness to both ACTH and angiotensin-II (A-II). On the other hand, A-II increased the three proto-oncogene (c-fos, c-jun and jun-B) mRNAs, induced a decreased of P 450 17 and 3β-HSD and caused a marked homologous and heterologous (ACTH) densitization. Transforming growth factor β1 which only increased jun-B mRNA, markedly reduced BAC differentiated functions and the steroidogenic responsiveness to both ACTH and A-II. Thus, it is postulated that the proto-oncoproteins encoded by the immediate early genes may play a role in the long-term effects of peptide hormones and growth factors on BAC differentiated functions.  相似文献

The catalase ofProteus mirabilis PR, a peroxide-resistant (PR) mutant ofProteus mirabilis, binds strongly NADPH, which is a unique property among known bacterial catalases. The enzyme subunit consists of 484 amino acid residues for a mass of 55,647 daltons. The complete amino acid sequence was resolved through the combination of protein sequencing, mass spectrometry, and nucleotide sequencing of a PCR fragment. The sequence obtained was compared with that of other known catalases. Amino acids of the active site are all conserved as well as essential residues involved in NADPH binding. Among the amino acids interacting with the heme, a methionine sulfone was found at position 53, in place of a valine in most other catalases. The origin of oxidation of this methionine is unknown, but the presence of this modification could change iron accessibility by large substrates or inhibitors. This posttranslational modification was also demonstrated in the wild-typeP. mirabilis catalase.  相似文献
