Organolead halide perovskites currently are the new front‐runners as light absorbers in hybrid solar cells, as they combine efficiencies passing already 20% with deposition temperatures below 100 °C and cheap solution‐based fabrication routes. Long‐term stability remains a major obstacle for application on an industrial scale. Here, it is demonstrated that significant decomposition effects already occur during annealing of a methylammonium lead triiode perovskite at 85 °C even in inert atmosphere thus violating international standards. The observed behavior supports the view of currently used perovskite materials as soft matter systems with low formation energies, thus representing a major bottleneck for their application, especially in countries with high average temperatures. This result can trigger a broader search for new perovskite families with improved thermal stability.  相似文献

Background

Leishmania major complex is the main causative agent of zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis (ZCL) in the Old World. Phlebotomus papatasi and Phlebotomus duboscqi are recognized vectors of L. major complex in Northern and Southern Sahara, respectively. In Mali, ZCL due to L. major is an emerging public health problem, with several cases reported from different parts of the country. The main objective of the present study was to identify the vectors of Leishmania major in the Bandiagara area, in Mali.

Methodology/Principal Findings

An entomological survey was carried out in the ZCL foci of Bandiagara area. Sandflies were collected using CDC miniature light traps and sticky papers. In the field, live female Phlebotomine sandflies were identified and examined for the presence of promastigotes. The remaining sandflies were identified morphologically and tested for Leishmania by PCR in the ITS2 gene. The source of blood meal of the engorged females was determined using the cyt-b sequence. Out of the 3,259 collected sandflies, 1,324 were identified morphologically, and consisted of 20 species, of which four belonged to the genus Phlebotomus and 16 to the genus Sergentomyia. Leishmania major DNA was detected by PCR in 7 of the 446 females (1.6%), specifically 2 out of 115 Phlebotomus duboscqi specimens, and 5 from 198 Sergentomyia darlingi specimens. Human DNA was detected in one blood-fed female S. darlingi positive for L. major DNA.

Conclusion

Our data suggest the possible involvement of P. duboscqi and potentially S. darlingi in the transmission of ZCL in Mali.  相似文献

The role of accessory Fe-S clusters of the F-domain in the catalytic activity of M3-type [FeFe] hydrogenase and the contribution of each of the two Fe-S surface clusters in the intermolecular electron transfer from ferredoxin are both poorly understood. We designed, constructed, produced and spectroscopically, electrochemically and biochemically characterized three mutants of Clostridium acetobutylicum CaHydA hydrogenase with modified Fe-S clusters: two site-directed mutants, HydA_C100A and HydA_C48A missing the FS4C and the FS2 surface Fe-S clusters, respectively, and a HydA_ΔDA mutant that completely lacks the F-domain. Analysis of the mutant enzyme activities clearly demonstrated the importance of accessory clusters in retaining full enzyme activity at potentials around and higher than the equilibrium 2H+/H2 potential but not at the lowest potentials, where all enzymes have a similar turnover rate. Moreover, our results, combined with molecular modelling approaches, indicated that the FS2 cluster is the main gate for electron transfer from reduced ferredoxin.  相似文献

The capacity of a Quercus pubescens forest to resist recurrent drought was assessed on an in situ experimental platform through the measurement of a large set of traits (ecophysiological and metabolic) studied under natural drought (ND) and amplified drought (AD) induced by partial rain exclusion. This study was performed during the third and fourth years of AD, which correspond to conditions of moderate AD in 2014 and harsher AD in 2015, respectively. Although water potential (Ψ) and net photosynthesis (Pn) were noticeably reduced under AD in 2015 compared to ND, trees showed similar growth and no oxidative stress. The absence of oxidative damage could be due to a strong accumulation of α‐tocopherol, suggesting that this compound is a major component of the Q. pubescens antioxidant system. Other antioxidants were rather stable under AD in 2014, but slight changes started to be observed in 2015 (carotenoids and isoprene) due to harsher conditions. Our results indicate that Q. pubescens could be able to cope with AD, for at least 4 years, likely due to its antioxidant system. However, growth decrease was observed during the fifth year (2016) of AD, suggesting that this resistance could be threatened over longer periods of recurrent drought.  相似文献

The effects of a 3-day tail suspension on central and peripheral sympathetic activity were studied in rats by determining the in vivo noradrenaline (NA) turnover in the brain cell groups involved in central blood pressure control (A1, A2, A5 and A6) and in two peripheral organs, heart and kidneys. In addition, cardiovascular parameters and their variabilities were investigated by recording blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) before and after suspension. These measurements were processed by spectrum analysis to assess the influence of tail suspension on autonomic balance. The NA turnover in the suspended rats was markedly reduced in A2 (–49%, P<0.01) and A5 (–38%, P<0.01) nuclei but unchanged in A1 and A6 cell groups compared with the control rats. Peripheral NA turnover was decreased in cardiac atria (–44%, P<0.001) and ventricles (–27%, P<0.01) while it was unchanged in kidneys after suspension. The BP, HR and their variabilities were similar in both groups of animals and showed no changes after suspension compared with baseline values. Spectrum analysis of BP and HR in our conscious suspended rats revealed no changes in power spectrum density or in peak frequencies. The discrepancy between the decrease in central sympathetic activity and the absence of changes in cardiovascular parameters after tail suspension raises the question of the validity of the tail suspended rat model when studying the cardiovascular deconditioning observed in humans after an exposure to actual or simulated weightlessness.  相似文献

Long-term endurance training effects on heart and plasma ANP were investigated in male Wistar rats. Maximal O2 uptake (VO2max) was significantly higher in trained groups, when they are used as their own control. After 3, 4, and 5 weeks of endurance training, VO2max was respectively increased by 7.7% (p less than 0.05), 13.7% (p less than 0.01), and 18.4% (p less than 0.001). Plasma ANP and glomerular ANP receptor density showed no clear variations in trained rats. However, cardiac ANP content decreased significantly in left and right atrial tissues by 35-36% (p less than 0.05) after 5 weeks of training. ANP immunoreactivity was investigated to show the distribution of ANP within the atria. ANP was found in diffuse and granular forms. The diffuse pattern (immature ANP) disappeared in cardiocytes of trained rats, while the granular form persisted, especially in the left atrial tissue. These data suggest that chronic endurance training might cause a decrease in ANP synthesis with no change in ANP storage. Such results are in agreement with the hypothesis that the left atrium could be especially involved in long-term fluid volume control.  相似文献

Arginine vasopressin (AVP) and oxytocin (OT) as well as their CNS carrier neurophysins (Np) have been found in the pineal gland. In view of the analogy between the pineal gland and the retina, the contents of these neuropeptides in rat, human and bovine retinae were determined. AVP, OT and Np were detected by specific radioimmunoassay (RIA) and their presence confirmed by RIA measurements (1) in rat and human retinae on HPLC fractions and (2) by the detection of the C-terminal portion of the precursor to AVP and its associated Np = propressophysin (CPP). The AVP and OT content in the retina of the rat was modified by light: AVP and OT content was smaller at 2 a.m. than at 2 p.m., but was increased by a 7 day constant exposure to darkness. In contrast, pituitary content was decreased after 7 days of constant darkness. If one optic nerve was cut we observed a decrease in retinal AVP content compared to the contralateral side and a decrease in pituitary AVP content. Our data clearly demonstrated the presence of AVP, OT and Np in the retina and their variation induced by light. It is probable that these peptides are of central origin.  相似文献

Holocene climatic changes along coastal regions from south-east France to south-east Spain were studied using pollen ratios. Comparing modern pollen rain, vegetation and climate along selected transects from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean, we obtained threshold values of two different ratios corresponding to the different climatic conditions along the transects. These pollen ratios and threshold values were employed to characterize the Holocene climatic changes from nine Mediterranean coastal sites. The results were compared with data from marine and continental pollen sequences distributed in the western Mediterranean basin, and with additional regional data independent of human activity: lake-level fluctuations, alpine glacier advance and retreat chronology, 14C anomaly and cooling phases in Eastern France and Central Europe. The role of anthropogenic activities and climate on the changes in vegetation is discussed. Six major changes in vegetation cover were identified. They correspond to aridification phases that occurred around 9500–9000 yr BP (10 900–9700 cal BP), 7500–7000 yr BP (8400–7600 cal BP), 4500–4000 yr BP (5300–4200 cal BP), 3700–3300 yr BP (4300–3400 cal BP), 2600–1900 yr BP (2850–1730 cal BP) and 1300–1000 yr BP (1300–750 cal BP). These arid episodes were regional responses to more global climatic changes and determined the changes in the vegetation cover. Humans undoubtedly enhanced the vegetation changes, but none the less had to adapt to these new climatic conditions.  相似文献

Only a limited amount of research has gone into evaluating the contribution made by the upper arm to the propulsion of elite swimmers with an amputation at elbow level. With assistance of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling, the swimming technique of competitive arm amputee swimmers can be assessed through numerical simulations which test the effect of various parameters on the effectiveness of the swimming propulsion.This numerical study investigates the effect of body roll amplitude and of upper arm rotation speed on the propulsion of an arm amputee swimmer, at different mean swimming speeds. Various test cases are simulated resulting in a thorough analysis of the complex body/fluid interaction with a detailed quantitative assessment of the effect of the variation of each parameter on the arm propulsion. It is found that a body roll movement with an amplitude of 45° enhances greatly the propulsive contribution from the upper arm with an increase of about 70% in the propulsive force compared to the no roll condition. An increase in the angular velocity of the upper arm also leads to a concomitant increase in the propulsive forces produced by the arm.Such results have direct implications for competitive arm amputee front crawl swimmers and for those who coach them. One important message that emerges in this present work is that there exists, for any given swimming speed, a minimum angular velocity at which the upper arm must be rotated to generate effective propulsion. Below this velocity, the upper arm will experience a net resistive drag force which adversely affects swimming performance.  相似文献
