An enzyme preparation has been produced on the basis of Penicillium canescens strains with the activity of cellibiohydrolase I, II; endo-1,4-beta-gluconase of Penicillium verruculosum; and beta-glucosidase of Aspergillus niger. It was shown that for the most effective hydrolysis of aspen wood pulp the optimal ratio of cellobiohydrolase and endo- 1,4-3-gluconase in enzyme preparations was 8 : 2 (by protein). It was also established that the homologous xylanase secreted by the Penicillium canescens fungus is a required component for the enzyme complex for hydrolysis of the hemicellulose matrix of aspen wood. 相似文献

The effects on synaptic transmission of blockers of amino acids at postsynaptic receptors were investigated by means of external perfusion of the basal membrane of electroreceptor cells in ampullae of Lorenzini and by recording of spike activity from individual nerve fibers in the skateRaja
clavata: glutamic acid diethyl ester (DEE-GLU), glutamic acid dimethyl ester (DME-GLU), D--aminoadipic acid (DAA), kynurenic acid (KYN), and cis-2,3-piperidine dicarboxylic acid (PDA). The most effective blocker was found to be DEE-GLU, producing reversible blockade of postsynaptic amino acid response. It was found that DAA did not change synaptic transmission in the electroreceptors, while PDA largely affected response produced by applying L-aspartic acid (L-ASP); KYN affected response produced by L-glutamic acid (L-GLU). It is deduced that L-GLU and L-ASP are the most effective agonists at the afferent synapse of ampullae of Lorenzini and that their excitatory effect is produced by activating quisqualate receptors.I. The effects of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, a potent inhibitor of chloroplast ATPase, on the light-induced electric potential changes in intact chloroplasts of Peperomia metallica and of a hornwort Anthoceros sp. were investigated by means of glass microcapillary electrodes. The characteristics of potential changes induced by flashes or continuous light in chloroplasts of both species are similar except for the phase of potential rise in continuous light, which is clearly biphasic in Anthoceros chloroplasts. Dicyclohexylcarbodiimide at concentration 5 · 10−5 M completely abolishes the transient potential undershoot in the light-off reaction but has little effect on the peak value of the photoelectric response. The membrane conductance in the light and in the dark was tested by measuring the decay kinetics of flash-generated potential in dark-adapted and preilluminated chloroplasts. In the absence of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, preillumination causes a significant acceleration of the potential decay. The light-induced changes in the decay kinetics of flash-induced responses were abolished in the presence of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, whereas the rate of potential decay in dark-adapted chloroplasts was not altered by dicyclohexylcarbodiimide. The results are consistent with the notion that dicyclohexylcarbodiimide diminishes H+ conductance of energized thylakoid membranes by interacting with the H+ channel of ATPase. The occurrence of a lag (approx. 300 ms) on the plot of potential undershoot (diffusion potential) versus illumination time might suggest the increase in H+ permeability coefficient of thylakoid membrane during illumination. 相似文献

The sequences of the 5' long-terminal repeat (LTR) and adjacent leader
regions of 27 full-length copia elements isolated from natural populations
of Drosophila melanogaster, D. simulans, and D. mauritiana are presented.
Phylogenetic analyses indicate that although D. melanogaster copia elements
are distinct from those of D. simulans and D. mauritiana, the elements of
these latter two species are not distinguishable from one another. LTRs and
adjacent 5' leader regions of elements isolated from D. simulans and D.

The interaction of Lys-plasminogen and its fragments with fibrinogen fragment E was studied by equilibrium affinity binding. A quantitative analysis of binding parameters revealed two types of binding sites responsible for Lys-plasminogen interaction with the immobilized fragment E, i.e., with a high (Kd = 1.5 x 10(-6) M) and low (Kd = 82 x 10(-6) M) affinity ones. Among plasminogen fragments, only miniplasminogen and KI-3 bound immobilized fragment E and were eluted by epsilon-aminocaproic acid.
