A three years survey and monitoring studies (2013–2014–2015) were carried out through 4 regions of north Tunisia in order to follow the evolution of the distribution, the frequency of occurrence and damage caused by the Hessian fly Mayetiola destructor (Say) to bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf). Moreover, the effectiveness of resistance genes H3, H5, H6, H7, H8, H9, H10, H11, H12, H13, H14, H15, H22, H23, H25 and H26 to protect wheat from Hessian fly attack was assessed in natural field and under controlled laboratory conditions at INRAT-Kef Station. Results showed that Hessian fly was detected in 60.33% and 51.5% of all sampled durum and bread wheat fields, respectively. This pest was more frequent with a higher percentage of infestation in semi-arid regions. Indeed, during 2013, infestation rate attained 12.39% in Kef region against 0.9% registered in Bizerte region. In order to update information about the annual number of generations, we surveyed the population dynamic of Hessian fly in Kef region. Three generations of the fly were counted annually on wheat, with two complete and one incomplete generation. This insect affects host plant growth at different developmental stages. Plant height was the most affected parameter followed by shoot dry weight and tiller number. Field investigations on host resistance revealed that among the 16 tested resistance genes, and only three were strictly effective (H22, H25 and H26). The resistance genes H5, H9, H13 and H9H13 have also conferred high levels of protection against Hessian fly. This work indicated that H22, H25 and H26 genes could be incorporated into Tunisian wheat varieties and released to farmers to manage the threat due to Hessian fly attacks. 相似文献

String of Fe(III), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Zr(IV) complexes were synthesized with tetradentateamino Schiff base ligand derived by condensation of ethylene diamine with gemifloxacin. The novel Schiff base (4E,4′E)-4,4′-(ethane-1,2-diyldiazanylylidene)bis{7-[(4Z)-3-(aminomethyl)-4-(methoxyimino)pyrrolidin-1-yl]-1-cyclopropyl-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid} (GMFX-en) and its metal complexes were identified and confirmed by elemental analyses, FT-IR, UV/VIS, 1H-NMR spectra, magnetic susceptibility, conductometric measurements and thermal analyses. The FT-IR spectral data showed the chelation behavior of GMFX-en toward the metal ions through oxygen of carboxylate group and nitrogen of azomethine group. In the light of all spectral data, these complexes presumably have octahedral geometry configurations. Thermal analysis specified that the decaying of the metal complexes exist in two or three steps with the final residue metal oxides. Antimicrobial activity of the new prepared metal complexes was screened against some common phytopathogens and their mode of action has been also discussed. The potential phytotoxic effectiveness of the new complexes was furthermore inspected on two commonly experimental plants. The complexes showed significant antimicrobial and phytotoxic effects against the majority of tested phytopathogens and the two tested plants, respectively. The potential antimicrobial activity of the complexes proved their possibility to be used successfully in agropharmacutical industry to control many serious phytopathogens. The phytotoxicity of the studied complexes also indicated their possibility as potential bio-based herbicides alternatives to weed control in crop fields. 相似文献

Four major areas of the urogenital system of Echinopardalis atrata are examined: (1) capsular protonephridial system, (2) uterine bell complex, (3) uterus, (4) vagina. Photomicrographs of cross sections from wax preparations depict morphological changes along the length of this system. Diagrammatic illustrations show relationships between excretory ducts and oviducts in the uterine bell complex. Relative positions of dorsal and ventral ligament accessory cells, median wall cells, and sheathing syncytium are also shown in this complex. The common oviduct and excretory canal join to form a ciliated urogenital canal that empties into the lumen of the uterus along the latter's anterior mid-dorsal surface. The excretory bladder is located on the inside mid-dorsal surface of the bell wall and is serviced by 2 nephridial canals--1 from each of 2 capsular protonephridia. The vagina affixes the posterior terminus of the uterus to the tegument and consists of an internal and external sphincter surrounding a hypodermal lining. 相似文献

Acetaminophen, an analgesic and antipyretic, is toxic in overdose to liver and kidney. The effects on mitochondrial respiration of acetaminophen, its less toxic analog, 3-hydroxyacetanilide, and metabolites which arise from these compounds have been investigated. The parent compounds inhibited NADH-linked respiration reversibly, whereas the metabolites inhibit all mitochondrial respiration, apparently in the Complex III region of the respiratory chain. The quinone derivatives, 4-acetamido-o-benzoquinone and 2-acetamido-p-benzoquinone, are the best inhibitors, with the onset of inhibition dependent on active respiration, suggesting interaction of these compounds with oxidized components of the electron transport chain. 相似文献

3-Deoxy-4-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-D-erythro-hexos-2-ulose (1) was obtained from lactose by reaction with benzoylhydrazine in the presence of a slightly acidic solution of p-toluidine, followed by hydrazinolysis of the product, 3-deoxy-4-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-D-erythro-hexos-2-ulose bis(benzoylhydrazone) (3), with benzaldehyde. A variety of derivatives of 1 and 3 was prepared. Lactose aroylhydrazones were also prepared. Quantitative determination of the oxidant during the periodate oxidation of 3 was studied. Although, several health benefits were associated with green tea, these effects may be beneficial up to a certain dose. Higher doses of green tea may cause several adverse effects. So, there is a need to test the potential negative effects of green tea during pregnancy. This study was designated to evaluate the effect of prenatal exposure of green tea extract on the development of the central nervous system of 20-day old rat fetuses. The pregnant rats were divided into 4 groups; the control group (received distal water) and the other 3 groups received green tea extract at different doses (200, 600 & 1000 mg/kg/day, respectively) from the 6th to 15th day of gestation i.e., during the organogenesis phase of development. Cerebral cortex, cerebellum and spinal cord specimens were subjected to histological, immunohistochemical and ultrastructure investigations. The body weight of both mothers and fetuses was significantly decreased in the groups that received 600 and 1000 mg green tea extract. Also, the neuronal tissues displayed various signs of degeneration which were evident with the 600 and 1000 mg doses. Green tea extract also increases the glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and decreases the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) which were directly proportional with increasing the dose. Administration of green tea extract during rat organogenesis period induced various histological, immunohistochemical and ultrastructural degenerative changes in the cerebral cortex, cerebellum and spinal cord of 20-day old rat fetuses. These deleterious changes were directly proportional to increasing the green tea extract dose.
