Sibirotitan astrosacralis nov. gen., nov. sp., is described based on isolated but possibly associated cervical and dorsal vertebrae, sacrum, and previously published pedal elements from the Lower Cretaceous (Barremian?) Ilek Formation at Shestakovo 1 locality (Kemerovo Province, Western Siberia, Russia). Some isolated sauropod teeth from the Shestakovo 1 locality are referred to the same taxon. The phylogenetic parsimony analyses place Sibirotitan astrosacralis nov. gen., nov. sp., as a non-titanosaurian somphospondyl titanosauriform. The new taxon exhibits four titanosauriform and one somphospondylan synapomorphies, and one autapomorphy – a hyposphene ridge that extends between the neural canal and the postzygapophyses. It differs from all other Somphospondyli by having only five sacral vertebrae. The new taxon shares with Euhelopus and Epachtosaurus sacral ribs that converge towards the middle of the sacrum in dorsal view. Sibirotitan astrosacralis nov. gen., nov. sp., is only the second sauropod taxon from Russia and one of the oldest titanosauriform described so far in Asia.  相似文献

Asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGP-R) is a promising biological target for drug delivery into hepatoma cells. Nevertheless, there are only few examples of small-molecule conjugates of ASGP-R selective ligand equipped by a therapeutic agent for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In the present work, we describe a convenient and versatile synthetic approach to novel mono- and multivalent drug-conjugates containing N-acetyl-2-deoxy-2-aminogalactopyranose and anticancer drug – paclitaxel (PTX). Several molecules have demonstrated high affinity towards ASGP-R and good stability under physiological conditions, significant in vitro anticancer activity comparable to PTX, as well as good internalization via ASGP-R-mediated endocytosis. Therefore, the conjugates with the highest potency can be regarded as a promising therapeutic option against HCC.  相似文献

Summary The duct system of the rat exorbital lacrimal gland consists of intercalated ducts, interlobular ducts and excretory ducts. The morphological changes from one type of duct to the next are gradual. At the light microscopical level this consists of a change from a bilaminar epithelium in the intercalated ducts to an epithelium, consisting of approximately three layers — which may be pseudostratified — in the excretory ducts. The basal layer of the intercalated ducts consists of myoepithelial cells, whereas the inner epithelial cells may have both a secretory and an electrolyte transporting function. The interlobular duct epithelium contains many cells with deep infoldings of the basolateral plasma membranes and associated mitochondria, suggesting a similar function to the striated duct epithelium in salivary glands. Numerous basal cells in this epithelium have tentatively been interpreted as unusual myoepithelial cells. Recent data on the proton-translocating activity of b cytochromes in chromatophores of purple bacteria and their arrangement in the photosynthetic redox chain are discussed. These data appear to support the concept of the b50 and b-90 cytochrome doublet spanning the membrane. Current schemes of H+ transport by b cytochromes are considered, and the scheme of H+ translocation by cytochrome b50 taking up H+ at the outer side of the membrane and a quinone delivering them from this cytochrome to the inner space of the chromatophore is favored as the most probable in the light of recent findings. This scheme is applicable both to Crofts' linear model of the redox chain and to Mitchell's Q cycle. Kinetic discrepancies between H+ uptake and cytochrome b50 reduction at high ambient redox potentials are interpreted in terms of a special, cytochrome b50-independent, yet Rieske FeS-protein-dependent mode of H+ transport.  相似文献

Single-sheet nanoclusters of MoS2, NiMoS or CoMoS are widely used in hydrodesulfurization (HDS) catalysis in the petroleum industry. In HDS reactions under microwave irradiation, experiments indirectly pointed out that for pristine MoS2 reaction rates are accelerated because hot spots are generated on the catalyst bed. In this work, we investigated NiMoS and CoMoS isolated single-sheet substituted catalysts before and after thiophene adsorption focusing on quantifying the effect of microwave irradiation. For that purpose, density functional theory (DFT) molecular charge densities of each system were decomposed according to the distributed multipole analysis (DMA) of Stone. Site dipole values of each system were directly associated with a larger or smaller interaction with the microwave field according to a proposed general approach. We showed that microwave enhancement of HDS reaction rates can occur more efficiently in the CoMoS and NiMoS promoted clusters compared to pristine MoS2 in the following order: CoMoS > NiMoS > MoS2. The atomic origin of the catalyst hot spots induced by microwaves was clearly established in the promoted clusters.  相似文献

Background

There is some evidence that prior use of macrolide antibiotics is a useful predictor of the likelihood of standard triple therapy failure in Helicobacter pylori eradication. In this study, we have evaluated whether previous intake of macrolides correlates with failure to eradicate H. pylori using two different first‐line clarithromycin‐containing regimens.

Materials and Methods

Retrospective study of 212 patients with H. pylori infection treated with one of two first‐line clarithromycin‐containing regimens: 108 patients treated with triple therapy for 10 days and 104 patients treated with concomitant therapy for 10 days. The intake of macrolides (clarithromycin, azithromycin, and other macrolides) prior to the eradication therapy was obtained from the electronic medical record, which contains information regarding all the medication prescribed to the patients since the year 2004.

Results

One hundred of 212 patients (47.2%) had received at least one treatment with macrolides during the years prior to the eradication therapy. H. pylori eradication rates were significantly lower in patients with previous use compared to patients without previous use of macrolides, both with triple therapy (60.8% vs 92.9%; < .0001) and with concomitant therapy (85.7% vs 98.2%; P = .024).

Conclusions

Previous use of macrolides correlates with a low H. pylori eradication rate with triple and concomitant clarithromycin‐containing regimens. In addition, our study shows that in patients without previous use of macrolides, triple therapy achieves per‐protocol eradication rates over 90%.  相似文献

Walls of Mortierella parvispora, Pullularia pullulans, Absidia repens, Fusarium oxysporum, and of several Penicillium species varied in their susceptibilities to digestion by glucanase and chitinase. Polysaccharides were present in the residues remaining after enzymatic digestion. Acid hydrolysates of the walls contained glucose, glucosamine, and a small amount of galactose. The walls of M. parvispora, which also contained fucose, were the least digested by these two enzymes. Much of the M. parvispora wall material was resistant to decomposition by a heterogeneous soil community, and viable hyphae were not lysed by a glucanase-chitinase mixture. Walls of this fungus were fractionated, and the chemical composition of the fractions was determined. The chitin which was abundant in one of the fractions was apparently largely shielded from chitinase hydrolysis by a glucan. The ecological significance of these findings is discussed.  相似文献

Swingle[14-15] divided Aurantioideac into two tribes, one of which, Clausereae was further divided into three subtribes, namely, Micromelinae, Clauseninae and Merrilliinae. Mic romelinae and Merrilliinae each have one genus, whereas Clauseninae has three genera. Morphologically, the Clauseneae is a natural tribe, the five genera are related in a linear sequence, starting with Micromelum as the most primitive and progressing in sequence to Glycosmis, Clausena, Murraya and Merrillia. Chemical studies also support this linear relationship, as revealed by the degree of oxygenation and complexity of the 3-methyl carbazole alkaloids, from CH3 and C13 in Glycosmis to CHO and C18 in Clausena and COOH and C23 in Murraya[20-21]. Distribution of flavonoids also indicates the progression from Clauseninae to Merrilliinae[18-19]. Extensive work has been conducted on the chemistry and taxonomy of the genus Murraya [1,5,7-13,16], and the data from these studies clearly indicate the presence of two distinct groups. Based on a combination of morphological and chemical differences, we agreed with Tanaka[16-17] in dividing Murraya into two sections, i.e. section Murraya and section Bergera[1]. However, our previous study[1] has not touched on the relationship between the two sections. Tanaka[16-17] placed section Bergera before section Murraya, and indicated that the former is close to Micromelum and the latter to Merrillia. Swingle[14-15], on the other hand, put taxa of section Murraya ahead of those of section Bergera, presumably suggesting that plants of section Murraya are more primitive than those of section Bergera, this arrangement was followed by Huang[2-3]. The two conflicting viewpoints would have direct bearings on the interpretation of the trends of biogenesis of prenylated indole and carbazole alkaloids, as well as on the weighing of the relative advancement of the morphological characters within the genus, such as in the assignment of indices of divergence and in the construction of Wagner Divergence Diagrams. Without more objective criteria, we find it difficult to select one of the two systems. In order to determine the relationship between the two sections of Murraya, we decided to study plants of related genera, with the hope that the chemical data may shed light on the problem. A plant that attracted our attention is Merrillia caloxylon (Ridley) Swingle. So far, only eupatorin and a few other flavonoids have been reported from the fruit of this species[4,6]. Although Me. caloxylon belongs to Merrilliinae, a subtribe next to Clauseninae, Tanaka[16-17] believes that it is close to Murraya section Murraya. Swingle[15], also suggested that this species might have developed from the same stock that gave rise to Mu. paniculata. If their interpretations were accurate, we would expect that Me. caloxylon would also contain yuehchukene and 8-prenylated coumarins. The presence of the antiimplantation agent would not only open up a new source of the compound but also help us judge the relationship between the two sections of Murraya. It is in this context that we studied the chemical composition of Me. caloxylon. Indeed, root and stem bark of Me. caloxylon were found to contain the antiimplantation indole alkaloid yuehchukene (1), and the 8-prenylated coumarins sibiricin (II) and phebalosin (III), as well as 3-(3-methy1-buta-1,3-diene) indole (IV) and eupatorin (V.) Details on the chemical profiles are reported in another paper. Through this exercise, we have confirmed the close relationship between Merrilliinae and Murraya section Murraya, plants of both taxa contain yuehchukene and 8-prenylated coumarins, but no carbazole alkaloid. Root and stem bark of Me. caloxylon, like those of plants of section Murraya, are strawcolored to pale whitish. Its leaves also bear wings along the rachis an in Mu. alata, and the seeds are also villous. However, Me. caloxylon has long trumpetshaped flowers 55-60 mm long, much larger than those found in other rutaceous plants. Its fruit is ob long, up to 11 cm long and 8 cm across, bearing a thick and warty pericarp, exuding a very stick mucilage when cut, and containing numerous seeds (>30). The plant was known to exist in the Malay Peninsula and north Sumatra[15], but, according to David Jones (per. comm.) of the University of Malaya, is now only available in cultivation in Malaysia and Singapore, a limitation to any further exploitation as an additional source of yuehchukene. Besides confirming the close relationship between Merrillia and section Murraya, we may also conclude that section Bergera is close to Glycosmis and Clausena, since they are known to contain carbazole alkaloids but no yuehchukene. Accordingly, we find Tanaka’s arrangement more acceptable: plants of section Bergera are more primitive than those of section Murraya, the former is close to Clausena whereas the latter (notably Mu. alata) to Merrillia. The relationship among the gonera with in Clauseneae may be illustrated as follow: Micromelum→ Glycosmis→Clausena→Murraya sect. Bergera→Murraya sect. Murraya→Marrillia. Accordingly, we may decide that the following character states are more primitive among plants of Murraya and Merrillia: root and stem bark dark brown, leaf rachis wingless, flower small, fruit purple-black with few seeds, and seed coat glabrous. In contrast, strawcolored or pale whitish bark, winged leaf rachis, large flower, red or yellow fruit with many seeds and villous seed coat can be regarded as more advanced characters. A study was conducted to determine the role of concentration of the test chemical, of a second organic compound, and of mutation in the acclimation period before the mineralization of organic compounds in sewage. The acclimation period for the mineralization in sewage of 2 micrograms of 4-nitrophenol (PNP) per liter increased from 6 to 12 days in the presence of 10 mg of 2,4-dinitrophenol per liter. The extension of the acclimation period was equivalent to the time required for mineralization of 2,4-dinitrophenol. In contrast, the time for acclimation for the degradation of 2 micrograms of PNP per liter was reduced when 10 or 100 mg of phenol per liter was added. Lower phenol levels increased the acclimation period to 8 days. The length of the acclimation period for PNP mineralization decreased as the initial concentration of PNP increased from 2 micrograms to 100 mg/liter. The acclimation period for phenol mineralization was lengthened as the phenol concentration increased from 100 to 1,400 mg/liter. The length of the acclimation period for PNP and phenol biodegradation was reproducible, but it varied among replicates for the biodegradation of other nitro-substituted compounds added to sewage or lake water, suggesting that a mutation was responsible for acclimation to these other compounds. The acclimation period may thus reflect the time required for the destruction of toxins, and it also may be affected by the concentration of the test compound or the presence of other substrates.  相似文献
