Über den Gehalt an auxin- und gibberellinähnlichen Stoffen bei jarowisierten und nicht jarowisierten Embryonen von Sommer- und Winterweizen

V jarovisovaných a nejarovisovaných obilkách jedné ozimé a jedné jarní odr?dy p?enice byly chromatograficky stanoveny látky typu auxin? a giberelin?. Chromatogramy byly vyhodnoceny pomocí biologických test?. U ozimé odr?dy jsme nena?li rozdíly v rozlo?ení r?stových látek mezi jarovisovanou a nejarovisovanou variantou. U jarní odr?dy jsme rozdíly na?li. Na základě výsledk? soudíme, ?e rozdíly mezi oběma variantami jarní odr?dy byly zp?sobeny nespecifickým p?sobením nízké teploty a ?e proces jarovisace není kausálně spjat se změnami hladiny r?stových látek.     

Effect of the phase state of lipids on their interaction with cobra cytotoxin

Interaction between cytotoxin of the Central Asia cobra venom and dimiristoylphosphatidylcholine bilayer depending on its phase state was studied by ESR with spin label. A conclusion can be drawn that the efficiency of cytotoxin effect on the membranes depends on their phase state. Cytotoxin molecules are incorporated into myophile region of the bilayer, only if the latter is in the liquid crystal state. The interaction between cytotoxins and lipids of the bilayer in a gel state is in the main conditioned by electrostatic forces.     

Genetic and morphological variation in a partially isolated population of Caucasian shrew <Emphasis Type="Italic">Sorex satunini</Emphasis> (Mammalia)

Morphological and genetic variation at microsatellite loci of Caucasian shrew Sorex satunini Ogn. is examined and compared with that of the common shrew S. araneus L. Genetic distance at microsatellite loci between the common shrew and Caucasian shrew proved to be threefold higher than between chromosome races of the common shrew. The Caucasian shrew manifested low polymorphism in studies of both microsatellites and morphometric mandibular traits. The heterozygote deficit was also typical. These properties may be a consequence of partial isolation of the population and gene drift.     

Light and electron microscopic studies on capillaries of the goat cardiac muscle with special reference to the topographical relationship between the vessels and Purkinje fibers

The capillaries of the cardiac muscle were investigated in the goat by means of light microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy, and the following results were obtained. The capillaries of the working cardiac muscles were numerous, arranged mainly parallel to the long axis of muscle cells and formed dense elongated networks. On the contrary, those of the terminal Purkinje fibers were relatively few in number, oriented in various directions and formed loose and circularly meshed networks surrounding the fibers. Such findings were discussed in correlation with the physiology and functional morphology of various types of the cardiac muscle cells.
