目的:探讨烟龄215年,日吸烟量≥15支的无症状男性吸烟者的肺功能改变情况。方法:选择男性无症状吸烟者190人及非吸烟者180人,进行肺功能测定,并比较两组人群的肺功能改变情况。结果:吸烟组与非吸烟组比较,肺活量(VC)、用力肺活量(FVC)、第1秒用力呼气容积(FEV1)、Tiffeneau1秒率(FEV1/VC)结果改变不明显,而Gaensler1秒率(FEV1/FVC)、最大分钟通气量(MVV)、用力呼气50%肺活量的呼气流量(FEF50%)、用力呼气75%肺活量的呼气流量(FEF75%)、呼出25%-75%肺活量时的平均流量(FEF25%~75%)、肺一氧化碳弥散量(DLCO)结果均有显著降低,有统计学意义。结论:通过对无症状吸烟人群肺功能测定结果进行分析。发现有些吸烟者虽无临床症状,但已经出现了小气道及肺弥散功能的损伤,提醒吸烟者应早期戒烟,关爱自身健康,净化生存环境,提高生活质量。 相似文献

本文通过同化枝腋芽丛生方式建立了盐生植物盐节木的快速繁殖体系。以在MS附加200 mmol·L-1 Na Cl的培养基上无菌种子萌发、生长共计4~5个月、高约3~4 cm的盐节木小苗为材料,从上截取0.5 cm长的同化枝小段为外植体,培养在MS附加不同浓度的6-BA与NAA的培养基中。结果表明:同化枝腋芽诱导与增殖最佳培养基均为MS+0.05 mg·L-1 6-BA+1mg·L-1 NAA或MS+1 mg·L-1 6-BA,初代培养30 d后,腋芽诱导率达97.5%,平均芽增殖系数为2.50;继代增殖培养时,将同化枝切成1 cm长的小段芽增殖系数提高到4.92;一次性芽苗伸长与生根培养基为MS+0.05 mg·L-1 IBA,生根率达99%;小苗经炼苗后移栽到沙子、营养土和蛭石体积比为1:1:1的基质中,成活率可达91%。 相似文献

Alzheimer's disease, the major dementing disorder of the elderly that affects over 4 million Americans, is related to amyloid beta-peptide, the principal component of senile plaques in Alzheimer's disease brain. Oxidative stress, manifested by protein oxidation and lipid peroxidation, among other alterations, is a characteristic of Alzheimer's disease brain. Our laboratory united these two observations in a model to account for neurodegeneration in Alzheimer's disease brain, the amyloid beta-peptide-associated oxidative stress model for neurotoxicity in Alzheimer's disease. Under this model, the aggregated peptide, perhaps in concert with bound redox metal ions, initiates free radical processes resulting in protein oxidation, lipid peroxidation, reactive oxygen species formation, cellular dysfunction leading to calcium ion accumulation, and subsequent neuronal death. Free radical antioxidants abrogate these findings. This review outlines the substantial evidence from multiidisciplinary approaches for amyloid beta-peptide-associated free radical oxidative stress and neurotoxicity and protection against these oxidative processes and cell death by free radical scavengers. In addition, we review the strong evidence supporting the notion that the single methionine residue of amyloid beta-peptide is vital to the oxidative stress and neurotoxicological properties of this peptide. Further, we discuss studies that support the hypothesis that aggregated soluble amyloid beta-peptide and not fibrils per se are necessary for oxidative stress and neurotoxicity associated with amyloid beta-peptide. 相似文献

Abstract: The β-amyloid peptide (Aβ), a main constituent in both senile and diffuse plaques in Alzheimer's disease brains, was previously shown to be neurotoxic and to be able to interact with several macromolecular components of brain tissue. Previous investigations carried out in our laboratory demonstrated free radical species formation in aqueous solutions of Aβ(1–40) and its C-end fragment, Aβ(25–35). Toxic forms of Aβ rapidly inactivate the oxidation-sensitive cytosolic enzyme glutamine synthetase (GS). In this regard, we suggested and subsequently demonstrated that Aβ radicals can cause an oxidative damage of cell proteins and lipids resulting in disruption of membrane functions, enzyme inactivation, and cell death. Because GS can be a substrate for Aβ-derived oxidizing species, the present study was conducted to determine if GS could protect against Aβ neurotoxicity. In contrast to this initial hypothesis, we here report that GS significantly enhances the neurotoxic effects of Aβ(1–40). The Aβ-mediated inactivation of GS was found to be accompanied by the loss of immunoreactive GS and the significant increase of Aβ(1–40) neurotoxicity. 相似文献

The patterns of control of flowering are analyzed in plants of different biotypes. The photoperiodic reaction of flowering taken as an example, the whole net of control is considered: from the environmental stimulus through its physiological transformation in the leaf in the corresponding hormonal impulse which, in turn, controls the realization of genetic programme and formation of generative organs in the stem buds. The photoperiodically neutral plants taken as an example, the patterns of age control of flowering are considered. In plants of different photoperiodic groups the synthesis of complementary components of florigen was shown to proceed either autonomously under the photoperiodic effect or under the inducing effect of definite photoperiods. The autonomous and inducible mechanisms of biosynthesis of the flowering hormones have a common base, the genetic system to which the environment sends its stimuli through the hormonal interactions. The interaction of hormonal and genetic developmental factors is considered, the evocation of flowering in the stem buds taken as an example. 相似文献

The present study demonstrates the application of the Unsupervised Spike Sorting algorithm (USS) to separation of multi-unit recordings and investigation of neuronal activity patterns in the subthalamic nucleus (STN). This nucleus is the main target for deep brain stimulation (DBS) in Parkinsonian patients. The USS comprises a fast unsupervised learning procedure and allows sorting of multiple single units, if any, out of a bioelectric signal. The algorithm was tested on a simulated signal with different levels of noise and with application of Time and Spatial Adaptation (TSA) algorithm for denoising. The results of the test showed a good quality of spike separation and allow its application to investigation of neuronal activity patterns in a medical application. One hundred twenty-four single channel multi-unit records from STN of 6 Parkinsonian patients were separated with USS into 492 single unit trains. Auto- and crosscorrellograms for each unit were analyzed in order to reveal oscillatory, bursting and synchronized activity patterns. We analyzed separately two brain hemispheres. For each hemisphere the percentage of units of each activity pattern were calculated. The results were compared for the first and the second operated hemispheres of each patient and in total. 相似文献

Abstract: Four biomarkers of neuronal protein oxidation [W/S ratio of MAL-6 spin-labeled synaptosomes, phenylhydrazine-reactive protein carbonyl content, glutamine synthetase (GS) activity, creatine kinase (CK) activity] in three brain regions [cerebellum, inferior parietal lobule (IPL), and hippocampus (HIP)] of Alzheimer's disease (AD)-demented and age-matched control subjects were assessed. These endpoints indicate that AD brain protein may be more oxidized than that of control subjects. The W/S ratios of AD hippocampal and inferior parietal synaptosomes are 30 and 46% lower, respectively, than corresponding values of tissue isolated from control brain; however, the difference between the W/S ratios of AD and control cerebellar synaptosomes is not significant. Protein carbonyl content is increased 42 and 37% in the Alzheimer's HIP and IPL regions, respectively, relative to AD cerebellum, whereas carbonyl content in control HIP and IPL is similar to that of control cerebellum. GS activity decreases an average of 27% in the AD brain; CK activity declines by 80%. The brain regional variation of these oxidation-sensitive biomarkers corresponds to established histopathological features of AD (senile plaque and neurofibrillary tangle densities) and is paralleled by an increase in immunoreactive microglia. These data indicate that senile plaque-dense regions of the AD brain may represent environments of elevated oxidative stress. 相似文献
