A novel proton transfer compound (SMHABT)+(HDPC)? (1) obtained from 2-amino-6-sulfamoylbenzothiazole (SMABT) and 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (H2DPC) and its Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II) complexes (2–4), and Fe(II) complex of SMABT (5) have been prepared and characterized by spectroscopic techniques. Additionally, single crystal X-ray diffraction techniques were applied to complexes (2–4). All complexes (2–4) have distorted octahedral conformations and the structure of 5 might be proposed as octahedral according to spectral and analytical results. All compounds, including acetazolamide (AAZ) as the control compound, were also evaluated for their in vitro inhibition effects on human hCA I and hCA II for their hydratase and esterase activities. The synthesized compounds have remarkable inhibitory activities on hCA I and hCA II. Especially, the inhibition potentials of the salt and the metal complexes (1–5) are comparable with AAZ. The current study was designed to evaluate the antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory and antimicrobial activities of Alchemilla mollis (Buser ) Rothm . (Rosaceae) aerial parts extracts. Chemical composition was analyzed by spectrophotometric and chromatographic (HPLC) techniques. The antioxidant properties assessed included DPPH· and ABTS·+ radical scavenging, β‐carotene‐linoleic acid co‐oxidation assay. Antimicrobial activity was evaluated with disc diffusion and micro dilution method. In order to evaluate toxicity of the extracts, with the sulforhodamine B colorimetric assay L929 cell line (mouse fibroblast) was used. The anti‐inflammatory activities of the potent antioxidant extracts (methanol, 70% methanol, and water extracts) were determined by measuring the inhibitory effects on NO production and pro‐inflammatory cytokine TNF‐α levels in lipopolysaccharide stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. 70% methanol and water extracts which were found to be rich in phenolic compounds (184.79 and 172.60 mg GAE/g extract) showed higher antioxidant activity. Luteolin‐7‐O‐glucoside was the main compound in the extracts. Ethyl acetate and 70% methanol extracts showed higher antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enteritidis with MIC value of 125 μg/ml. 70% methanol extract potentially inhibited the NO and TNF‐α production (18.43 μm and 1556.22 pg/ml, respectively, 6 h). 相似文献

Purpose To investigate if chewing side preference (CSP) can be used as an indicator of hemispheric laterality in healthy adults. Materials and methods Seventy-five individuals were included. The visual analogue scale (VAS) was used to determine CSP and laterality test for preferred peripheral organs. Results Significant correlation between CSP and hand, foot, ear, and eye side preference was found (r?=?.41, p?.001; r?=?.34, p?=?.003; r?=?.35, p?=?.03; r?=?.36, p?=?.002). BackgroundThis study aims to compare serum HMGB-1, 3-nitrotyrosine (3-NT), TAS, TOS, and OSI levels in Wettype Age-Related Macular Degeneration (wAMD) patients and healthy controls to determine the correlation of these parameters with each other.MethodsThirty patients with Wet-type Age-Related Macular Degeneration (wAMD) and 27 healthy adults, as controls were enrolled in the study. We determined the TAS and TOS levels in serum samples of both groups using commercial kits on a microplate reader. Serum HMGB-1 and 3-NT levels were measured with the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method.ResultsHMGB-1 levels were significantly higher in the patient group (137.51 pg/mL, p=0.001), while there was no difference between the two groups in serum 3-NT levels (p=0.428). A statistically significant difference found in the levels of TOS and OSI (p=0.001 and p=0.045, respectively) between the patients and controls, however, no significant difference was observed between the groups in terms of TAS levels (p=0.228).ConclusionsOxidative stress and HMGB-1 levels were increased in wAMD patients and enhanced oxidative stress may be associated with increased tissue necrosis and inflammation. Thus administration of antioxidant treatment in addition to routine therapy should be considered in wAMD. 相似文献

We investigate the two-dimensional (2D) optical absorption spectrum in a semiconductor quantum dot nanostructure driven by two orthogonal standing-wave lasers. It is found that, due to the position-dependent quantum interference effect, the 2D optical absorption spectrum can be easily controlled via adjusting the system parameters. In this study, we address a job sequencing and tool switching problem arising in flexible manufacturing systems. We consider the single machine problem of minimizing total flow time. We prove that the problem is NP-hard in the strong sense and show that the tool switching problem is polynomially solvable for a given sequence. We propose a branch-and-bound algorithm whose efficiency is improved by precedence relations and several lower and upper bounding techniques. Our computational results reveal that the branch and bound approach produces optimal solutions in reasonable times for moderate sized problems. Our upper bounds produce very satisfactory solutions; therefore they can be an attractive alternative to solve larger sized problems. 相似文献
