A new species of Comarostaphylis (Ericaceae,Arbuteae) from Tamaulipas,Mexico

Comarostaphylis sharpii is described from the vicinity of Rancho del Cielo near Gómez Farías in the Sierra de Guatemala of southwestern Tamaulipas, Mexico. It occurs in a narrow zone of Humid Pine-Oak Forest at elevations between 1200 and 2100 m.     

A new subspecies and two new combinations of Nothofagus Blume (Nothofagaceae) from Chile

One new subspecies ofNothofagusBlume,Nothofagus obliquasubsp.andina, is described from Chile, and two new combinations have been madeNothofagus obliquasubsp.valdivianaandNothofagus macrocarpacomb. nov.     

Infrageneric combinations in Gaultheria L. (Ericaceae)

Recent collections from Serra do Aracá in northern Brazil include range extensions for several Guayanan Ericaceae and the newVaccinium pipolyi Luteyn which is herein described and illustrated.     

A new infrageneric classification and phylogenetic trends in the genusRhododendron (Ericaceae)

Recent studies have improved the infrageneric classification ofRhododendron, including my own investigations on flavonoids and anthocyanins as chemosystematic markers. From a synoptical comparison of morphological, anatomical and phytochemical characters a new system for the genus is proposed. Phylogenetic character progressions and relationships among subgenera, sections and subsections are discussed and illustrated. Key positions for subg.Candidastrum between chori subgenerumRhododendron andNomazalea, and for subg.Choniastrum between chori subgenerumHymenanthes andNomazalea are suggested.     

A new name and new combinations in Campomanesia and Pimenta (Myrtaceae)

One new name is proposed and eleven new combinations are made inCampomanesia andPimenta. Lectotypes are selected forC. eugenioides var.desertorum, C. phaea, andP. racemosa var.hispaniolensis, var.ouza, and var.terebinthina.

A new subspecies of Baccharis salicifolia (Compositae-Astereae) from Peru

A new subspecies of the widespread and polymorphic B. salicifolia from the Andes of central and southern Peru is described and illustrated. The morphological delimitation of the new taxon is discussed.     

A new species and two new combinations of Ecuadorian Bromeliaceae (Tillandsioideae)

A new species of Guzmania, G. henniae , from southeastern Ecuador is described and illustrated. Two new combinations in the newly erected, segregate genus Racinaea (formerly Tillandsia subgenus Pseudocatopsis), R. dielsii and R. undulifolia are presented and discussed.     

A new subspecies of Paraphysomonas punctata (Paraphysomonadaceae, Chrysophyceae)

A new subspecies, ssp. hexagona within the species complex of Paraphysomonas punctata is described. It is particularly distinguished by its large round to oblong perforations and also deviates in other respects from known subspecies of P punctata , so that it is here described as a new subspecies, ssp. hexagona . Type material has been collected in a small Danish pool in the Copenhagen area. A previous finding of scales with similar large perforations has been considered to be an indication of weakly silicified scales. This, however, cannot be the case since the present algae have been found in silica-enriched samples. Furthermore the pool is shallow and fully mixed throughout the year.     

Gaultheria steyermarkii (Ericaceae): A new endemic to Cerro Turimiquire,Venezuela

Gaultheria steyermarkii Luteyn, from the isolated Cerro Turimiquire, Venezuela, is described, illustrated, and its relationships toG. buxifolia andG. anastomosans are discussed.     

Two new subspecies in Andean Phylloscirpus and Trichophorum (Cyperaceae)

Phylloscirpus acaulis and Trichophorum rigidum (Cyperaceae) are widely distributed in the Andes of South America. A study of the taxonomy, vegetative architecture and inflorescence structure showed the existence of two subspecies, Phylloscirpus acaulis subsp. pachycaulis and Trichophorum rigidum subsp. ecuadoriense.     

干皮孔菌属的一个新种和三个组合种

本文报道了产自斯里兰卡的干皮孔菌属一个新种,该种的主要特征是具有平伏反卷或具菌盖的子实体,很小的孔口（每毫米8-10个）,菌丝系统二系,生殖菌丝覆盖有刺状结晶,骨架菌丝橙棕色,细腊肠状担孢子（2.7-3.4×0.5-0.8μm）。基于ITS和nLSU序列的系统发育分析表明该新种属于干皮孔菌属的一个明确的分支。此外,将毛孔菌属组合到干皮孔菌属中,并报道了3个组合种,白边干皮孔菌、印度干皮孔菌和萨彦干皮孔菌。
