In the process of dynamic study of cortical bioelectrical activity and indices of its intercentral interaction in 52 neurosurgical patients with focal lesion on the brainstem level, the dependence was shown of the CNS reactions to the operative intervention on the character and degree of damage. In order to study systemic brain reactions on transcranial electrical or electromagnetic medical stimulation and specify the neurophysiological criteria of its efficiency, comparative clinical and experimental examination was performed with the analysis of spontaneous bioelectric activity and behavioral or clinical parameters. We examined 6 patients with prolonged posttraumatic unconsciousness states treated with electrical stimulation and 17 intact Wistar rats subjected to electromagnetic stimulation of the brain. The effect of the transcranial stimulation was shown to depend on the initial level of the intercentral interactions of brain bioelectrical activity, estimated by the EEG coherence. Hypersynchronization of biopotentials as the main element of the brain reactivity can be the most useful for the rehabilitation of patients with cerebral pathology in cases of initially lowered level of the intercentral interactions in the absence of pathologically strengthened functional connections. 相似文献

Bioelectrical activity of the somatosensory cortex was studied in the Wistar rats with chronic (1.5-2 months) compression of the infraorbital nerve produced by two partial ligations. In 20% of rats spike-slow wave complex and slow waves were observed. Electrostimulation of the skin on the injured nerve side resulted in a considerable increase in the amplitude of early components of the contralaterally evoked potentials in comparison with the non-injured side stimulation in 75% of rats. A decrease in the evoked potential thresholds on the injured nerve stimulation was shown in both hemispheres. In most of the animals a hypersynchronous late component of the evoked potential was observed. 相似文献

Changes in spatial-temporal organization of human bioelectrical brain activity were studied following formal completion of the process of solution of mental tasks of various complexity. It was shown that in the first seconds after the response, desynchronization took place of cortical potentials, identical to the one observed in the process of solution; at frequencies of alpha- and beta-2-rhythms, predominant decrease took place of parameters of spatial-temporal biopotentials conjunction as compared to the level of calm alertness. Dynamics of recovery of calm alertness EEG characteristics is determined by subjective complexity for the subject of previous activity and by the degree of his confidence in the correctness of the obtained result. The changes in the activities of ammonia-metabolizing enzymes in liver and brain after ethanol intoxication has been investigated in rats. After administration of ethanol 30% (w/v) 6g kg-1 for 4 weeks we found an increase in liver glutamate dehydrogenase and glutaminase activity. In brain tissue the glutaminase activity was significantly higher and glutamate dehydrogenase was significantly lower. Glutamine synthetase activity in liver and brain was practically unchanged. The reasons for these changes in the activities of some ammonia-metabolizing enzymes in liver and brain after ethanol ingestion have been discussed. 相似文献

The activity of the key enzyme of serotonin biosynthesis--tryptophan-5-hydroxylase (T-5-H) was investigated in the synaptosomes of the motor cortex and caudate nucleus of the rabbit brain 30 min or 5 days after single injection of opioid tetrapeptidamide Tyr-D-Ala-Gly-Phe-NH2 (TPA). TPA was injected subcutaneously at a dose of 500 micrograms/kg of rabbit body weight. T-5-H activity in caudate nucleus synaptosomes was two times higher than that of the motor cortex synaptosomes and accounted for 159.67 and 80.84 pmoles of formed 5-hydroxytryptophan/mg protein per hour. 30 min after single injection of TPA the enzyme activity in the synaptosomes of the motor cortex and caudate nucleus decreased by 64.0 and 43.0%, respectively. 5 days following single TPA injection T-5-H activity in the motor cortex synaptosomes increased by 68.4% and in caudate nucleus synaptosomes decreased by 35.6%. Thus, it was established that TPA displayed a pronounced effect on T-5-H activity. The delayed effect of opioid TPA on T-5-H activity was discovered which was manifested on day 5 after the single injection. Possible mechanisms of TPA effect on T-5-H are discussed. 相似文献

Atropine (Atr) or mecamylamine (MeC) were administered locally into the periaqueductal gray (PAG) of rabbits with chronically implanted electrodes into the motor-sensory cortex (MSC) ventro-posterolateral thalamic nuclei (NVPL), PAG and midbrain reticular formation (MRF). Bioelectrical responses in the cortex and subcortical structures were analyzed automatically by means of Fast Fourier Transform and Autoregressive Method. The study of the activity, protein charge and isoenzyme LDG spectrum after a single injection of formaldehyde solution has demonstrated a rise in the protein negative charge, which in the absence of ischemia was observed for 20 min. A more than 5-min increase in LDG protein charge observed in ischemia and independent of changes in LDG isoenzyme spectrum was significantly less expressed in ischemic brain after a preliminary injection of formaldehyde solution. With cerebral blood flow preserved, an injection of formaldehyde resulted in the alteration of LDG spectrum, namely a rise in LDG3+4+5 content. Formaldehyde injection prior to ischemia prevented the development of a similar effect, which was significantly more expressed in ischemic brain without a preliminary formaldehyde injection. 相似文献

A 3-5-min spontaneous hyperventilation caused normalization of initially altered electroencephalogram and inactivation of hypothalamic structures in 14 patients with malignant tumors, as well as negative dynamics of bioelectrical brain activity and activation of diencephalic area in 6 healthy subjects. In hyperventilation ACTH plasma concentration increased 13-fold on average (from 14.2 +/- 12.1, to 185 +/- 82 pg/ml) in normal subjects and 2.4-fold (from 45.5 +/- 19.8 to 110 +/- 17 pg/ml) in oncological patients. It is assumed that changes in hypothalamo-hypophyseal reactivity in patients with malignant neoplasias can be associated with generalized intracellular metabolic acidosis, partially, compensated by gas alkalosis in the plasma due to hyperventilation. 相似文献
