Strain BH45(T) was isolated from forest soil of Mt. Bukhan in Jeongneung, Seoul, Korea. The Gram-staining-negative strain BH45(T) grows at 4-30°C (optimum of 25-30°C) and between pH 5-8 (optimum of pH 6-8). Its major cellular fatty acids are C(18:3) ω6c (6,9,12) and C(10:0). The G+C content of genomic DNA was 40.2 mol%. The major respiratory quinone system in strain BH45(T) is menaquinone-7. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicates that strain BH45(T) is closely related to the genus Pedobacter. Sequence similarities with P. terrae KCTC 12762(T), P. suwonensis KACC 11317(T), P. soli KACC 14939(T), P. alluvionis DSM 19624(T), P. roseus KCCM 42272(T), P. yonginense KCTC 22721(T) were 97.5, 97.1, 97.0, 97.0, 97.0, and 96.0%, respectively. DNA-DNA hybridization results distinguish strain BH45(T) from two Pedobacter species with high 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities. According to the phenotypic and molecular data, the strain BH45(T) clearly represents a novel species within the genus Pedobacter; thus, the name Pedobacter jeongneungensis sp. nov. is proposed for this strain. The type strain is BH45(T) (=KACC 15514(T) =JCM 17626(T)).  相似文献

A Gram-stain negative, strictly aerobic, non-motile, non-spore-forming, and rod-shaped bacterial strain designated FW-3T was isolated from fresh water and its taxonomic position was investigated by using a polyphasic approach. Strain FW-3T was found to grow at 10–37 °C and at pH 7.0 in the absence of NaCl on nutrient agar. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity, strain FW-3T was shown to belong to the family Acetobacteraceae and to be related to Roseomonas lacus TH-G33T (97.2 % sequence similarity) and Roseomonas terrae DS-48T (96.4 %). The G+C content of the genomic DNA was determined to be 68.0 %. The major menaquinone was determined to be Q-10 and the major fatty acids were identified as summed feature 7 (comprising C18:1 ω9c/ω12t/ω7c as defined by the MIDI system; 55.4 %), and C18:1 2OH (29.8 %). DNA and chemotaxonomic data supported the affiliation of strain FW-3T to the genus Roseomonas. Strain FW-3T could be differentiated genotypically and phenotypically from the recognized species of the genus Roseomonas. The novel isolate therefore represents a novel species, for which the name Roseomonas sediminicola sp. nov. is proposed, with the type strain FW-3T (=KACC 16616T = JCM 18210T).  相似文献

A Gram-stain negative, strictly aerobic, motile by gliding, rod-shaped and yellow pigmented strain THG-G12T was isolated from soil of a bamboo field in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Strain THG-G12T was observed to grow well at 20–28 °C and pH 7.0–7.5 in the absence of NaCl on nutrient agar. Based on 16S rRNA gene sequence comparisons, strain THG-G12T was found to be most closely related to Pedobacter ginsengisoli Gsoil 104T (97.5 % sequence similarity), Pedobacter steynii WB2.3-45T (97.4 %), Pedobacter metabolipauper WB2.3-71T (97.2 %), Pedobacter nyackensis NWG-II14T (97.2 %), Pedobacter caeni LMG 22862T (97.1 %) and Pedobacter duraquae WB2.1-25T (97.0 %), but DNA relatedness between strain THG-G12T and its phylogenetically closest neighbours was below 9.5 %. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was determined to be 39.9 mol%. The only isoprenoid quinone detected in strain THG-G12T was menaquinone-7 (MK-7). The major component in the polyamine pattern was sym-homospermidine. The major polar lipids were found to be phosphatidylethanolamine, unidentified phosphoglycolipids, unidentified aminophosphoglycolipids, unidentified aminolipids and unidentified lipids. Strain THG-G12T showed the presence of two ceramide phosphorylethanolamines (CerPE-2′ and CerPE-2″), dihydrosphingosines and an unidentified ceramide as the major ceramide. The major fatty acids were identified as summed feature 3 (as defined by the MIDI system; C16:1 ω7c and/or C16:1 ω6c) and iso-C15:0. These data support the affiliation of strain THG-G12T to the genus Pedobacter. The results of physiological and biochemical tests enabled strain THG-G12T to be differentiated genotypically and phenotypically from the recognized species of the genus Pedobacter. Therefore, the novel isolate represents a novel species, for which the name Pedobacter seoulensis sp. nov. is proposed, with THG-G12T as the type strain (=KACC 17529T =JCM 19363T).  相似文献

Strain CBA3638T was isolated from the Geum River sediment, Republic of Korea. The cells of strain CBA3638T were Gram-stain-positive, strictly anaerobic, rod-shaped, and 0.5–1.0 μm wide, and 4.0–4.5 μm long. Optimal growth occurred at 37 °C, pH 7.0, and 1.0% (w/v) NaCl. Based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence, the phylogenetic analysis showed that strain CBA3638T belongs to the genus Anaerocolumna in the family Lachnospiraceae, and is most closely related to Anaerocolumna cellulosilytica (94.6–95.0%). The DDH value with A. cellulosilytica SN021T showed 15.0% relatedness. The genome of strain CBA3638T consisted of one circular chromosome that is 5,500,435 bp long with a 36.7 mol% G?+?C content. The genome contained seven 16S-5S-23S rRNA operons and one antibiotic resistance-related transporter gene (mefA). Quinones were not detected. The predominant cellular fatty acids were C16:0 and C14:0 and the polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine, and uncharacterised polar lipids. Based on the polyphasic taxonomic analysis, we propose strain CBA3638T as a novel species in the genus Anaerocolumna, with the name Anaerocolumna sedimenticola sp. nov. The type strain is CBA3638T (=?KACC 21652T?=?DSM 110663T).

An aerobic, Gram-stain-negative, non-motile, non-spore-forming, rod-shaped, and light pink-colored bacterial strain, designated TS19T, was isolated from a sand sample obtained from a coastal sand dune after exposure to 3 kGy of gamma radiation. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that the isolate was a member of the genus Hymenobacter and was most closely related to H. wooponensis WM78T (98.3% similarity). Strain TS19T and H. wooponensis showed resistance to gamma radiation with D10 values (i.e., the dose required to reduce the bacterial population by tenfold) of 7.3 kGy and 3.5 kGy, respectively. The genome of strain TS19T consists of one contig with 4,879,662 bp and has a G?+?C content of 56.2%. The genome contains 3,955 protein coding sequences, 44 tRNAs, and 12 rRNAs. The predominant fatty acids of strain TS19T were iso-C15:0, summed feature 4 (iso-C17:1 I and/or anteiso-C17:1 B), summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω6c and/or C16:1 ω7c), and C16:1 ω5c. The major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, and one unidentified aminophospholipid. The main respiratory quinone was menaquinone-7. A novel aerobic, Gram-negative bacterial strain, designated KU41E(T), which degrades p-n-nonylphenol, was isolated from seawater obtained from the coastal region of Ishigaki Island, Japan. Cells are motile, curved rods with a single polar flagellum. Strain KU41E(T) grew at 20-35 °C, pH 7.0-8.0, in the presence of 1.0-4.0% NaCl. The predominant respiratory lipoquinone was ubiquinone-8, and the major cellular fatty acids were summed feature 3 (C(15:0) iso 2OH and/or C(16:1) ω7c, 28.4%), C(18:1) ω7c (19.8%), and C(16:0) (17.0%). The DNA G + C content was 48.6 mol%. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that strain KU41E(T) is affiliated with the order Alteromonadales within the class Gammaproteobacteria and is most closely related to Pseudoteredinibacter isoporae SW-11(T) (93.6% similarity) and Teredinibacter turnerae T7902(T) (91.9% similarity). On the basis of physiological, chemotaxonomic, and phylogenetic data, strain KU41E(T) is suggested to represent a novel species of a new genus, for which the name Maricurvus nonylphenolicus gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of M. nonylphenolicus is KU41E(T) (=JCM 17778(T)).  相似文献

A Gram-positive, endospore-forming, catalase- and oxidase-positive, motile, rod-shaped, aerobic bacterium, designated strain JSM 079157T, was isolated from surface seawater off the coastline of Naozhou Island in South China Sea. The organism was able to grow with 1–15% (w/v) total salts (optimum, 4–7%), and at pH 6.0–10.0 (optimum, pH 7.5) and 10–45°C (optimum, 30°C). meso-Diaminopimelic acid was present in the cell-wall peptidoglycan. The predominant menaquinone was MK-7, and the polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylglycerol. The major cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C15:0 (45.1%) and anteiso-C17:0 (16.2%), and the DNA G + C content was 39.5 mol%. A phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence comparisons revealed that strain JSM 079157T should be assigned to the genus Virgibacillus, being related most closely to the type strains of Virgibacillus litoralis (97.4% sequence similarity), Virgibacillus necropolis (97.3%) and Virgibacillus carmonensis (97.1%). These four strains formed a distinct subcluster in the phylogenetic tree. The levels of DNA–DNA relatedness between the new isolate and the type strains of V. litoralis, V. necropolis and V. carmonensis were 30.4, 19.3 and 12.6%, respectively. The results of the phylogenetic analysis, combined with DNA–DNA relatedness data, phenotypic characteristics and chemotaxonomic information, support the suggestion that strain JSM 079157T represents a new species of the genus Virgibacillus, for which the name Virgibacillus zhanjiangensis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is JSM 079157T (=DSM 21084T = KCTC 13227T).  相似文献

Polyphasic analysis of ten isolates of the red-pigmented bacteria isolated from ten Arthrospira cultures originating from different parts of the world is described. The 16S rRNA analysis showed <95 % identity with the known bacteria on public databases, therefore, additional analyses of fatty acids profiles, MALDI-TOF/MS, genome sequencing of the chosen isolate and following phylogenomic analyses were performed. Gram-stain-negative, strictly aerobic rods were positive for catalase, negative for oxidase, proteolytic and urease activity. Major fatty acids were 15 : 0 iso, 17:0 iso 3 OH and 17:1 iso w9c/16:0 10-methyl. The whole phylogenomic analyses revealed that the genomic sequence of newly isolated strain DPMB0001 was most closely related to members of Cyclobacteriaceae family and clearly indicated distinctiveness of newly isolated bacteria. The average nucleotide identity and in silico DNA–DNA hybridisation values were calculated between representative of the novel strains DPMB0001 and its phylogenetically closest species, Indibacter alkaliphilus CCUG57479 (LW1)T (ANI 69.2 % is DDH 17.2 %) and Mariniradius saccharolyticus AK6T (ANI 80.02 % isDDH 26.1 %), and were significantly below the established cut-off <94 % (ANI) and <70 % (isDDH) for species and genus delineation. The obtained results showed that the analysed isolates represent novel genus and species, for which names Arthrospiribacter gen nov. and Arthrospiribacter ruber sp. nov. (type strain DPMB0001 = LMG 31078 = PCM 3008) is proposed.  相似文献

A Gram-negative, nonmotile, endospore-forming, rod-shaped bacterial strain LHW35T, which belonged to the genus Paenibacillus, was isolated from marine sediment collected from the south coast of the Republic of Korea. A phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain LHW35T was most closely related to Paenibacillus taiwanensis G-soil-2-3T (97.2% similarity). The optimal growth conditions for strain LHW35T were 37°C, pH 6.0, and 0% (w/v) NaCl. The main isoprenoid quinone was menaquinone-7 (MK-7) and the major polyamine was spermidine. The diamino acid present in the cell-wall peptidoglycan was meso-diaminopimelic acid. The major fatty acids were anteiso-C15:0 and C16:0. The polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, unidentified amino-hospholipids, unidentified phospholipids, and unidentified polar lipids. A DNA-DNA hybridization experiment using the type strain of P. taiwanensis indicated <40% relatedness. The DNA G+C content was 45.0 mol%. Based on these phylogenetic, genomic, and phenotypic analyses, strain LHW35T should be classified as a novel species within the genus Paenibacillus, for which the name Paenibacillus marinisediminis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is LHW35T (=KACC 16317T =JCM 17886T).  相似文献

A complex polar lipid profile consisted of a major unknown phosphoglycolipid. The predominant respiratory quinone is MK-8. The cell wall peptidoglycan contained D-alanine, L-glutamic acid, glycine, and L-ornithine (di-amino acid). The novel strain showed resistance to gamma radiation, with a D10 value (i.e. the dose required to reduce the bacterial population by 10-fold) in excess of 5 kGy. Based on the phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic, and phenotypic data, strain DY59T (=KCTC 33033T =JCM 18581T) should be classified as a type strain of a novel species, for which the name Deinococcus swuensis sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献
