Two kinds of alkylimidazolium salts containing dimethyl phosphate or diethyl phosphate were obtained as room temperature ionic liquids synthesized by one step, and both of them have the ability to dissolve untreated cellulose. Especially, 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium diethylphosphonate ([EMIM]DEP) could obtain 4 wt% cellulose solution within 10 min under 90. The effects of dissolution temperature on cellulose dissolution time and degree of polymerization were investigated. As dissolution temperature increased, dissolution time was greatly reduced. Both the original and regenerated cellulose samples were characterized with wide-angle X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron micrograph. The results showed that the crystalline structure of cellulose was converted to cellulose II from cellulose I in native cellulose. It was also found that the regenerated cellulose had good thermal stability with [EMIM]DEP ionic liquid.  相似文献

Fabrication of biomass materials by a microwave-assisted method in ionic liquids allows the high value-added applications of biomass by combining three major green chemistry principles: using environmentally preferable solvents, using an environmentally friendly method, and making use of renewable biomass materials. Herein, we report a rapid and green microwave-assisted method for the synthesis of the cellulose/calcium silicate nanocomposites in ionic liquids and recycled ionic liquids. These calcium silicate nanoparticles or nanosheets as prepared were homogeneously dispersed in the cellulose matrix. The experimental results confirm that the ionic liquids can be used repeatedly. Of course, the slight differences were also observed using ionic liquids and recycled ionic liquids. Compared with other conventional methods, the rapid, green, and environmentally friendly microwave-assisted method in ionic liquids opens a new window to the high value-added applications of biomass.  相似文献

In this work, the 1-allyl-3-alkylimidazolium chloride ionic liquids were synthesized and characterized by increasing carbon atoms (n ≤ 6) of alkyl chains on a cationic 3-imidazole ring. The results indicated that 1-allyl-3-alkylimidazolium chloride with asymmetrical structure on the two sides of a cationic 3-imidazole ring (i.e., n = 1, 2, 6) exhibited alkalinity and lower thermal stabilities, and showed better solubility to the cellulose samples at 60-120 °C than those with symmetrical structures (n = 3, 4). The cellulose samples treated by 20% (w/w) ethylenediamine solution showed better solubility in 1-allyl-3-ethyl, hexyl-imidazolium chloride ionic liquids than that treated with 20% (w/w) NaOH solution at 5 °C for 72 h. XRD and TG analysis indicated that 0 0 2 plane apparent crystallite size as well as thermal stability of the regenerated cellulose samples from the ionic liquids decreased significantly compared with the untreated cellulose samples.  相似文献

The purpose of this article was to explore an environmentally friendly strategy to synthesis of biomass-based hybrids. Herein, microwave-assisted ionic liquids method was applied to fabricate the hybrids from cellulose and AgX (X = Cl, Br) using cellulose and AgNO3. The ionic liquids act simultaneously as a solvent, a microwave absorber, and a reactant. Ionic liquids provided Cl or Br to the synthesis of AgCl or AgBr crystals; thus no additional reactant is needed. The products are characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The cellulose–Ag/AgCl hybrid and cellulose–Ag/AgBr hybrid were also obtained by using cellulose–AgCl and cellulose–AgBr hybrids as precursors. This environmentally friendly microwave-assisted ionic liquids method is beneficial to the hybrids with high dispersion.  相似文献

Preparation of chitin/cellulose composite gels and films with ionic liquids   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this study, we performed preparation and characterizations of the chitin/cellulose composite gels and films using the two ionic liquids, 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride. First, chitin and cellulose were dissolved in each appropriate ionic liquid. Then, the two liquids were mixed in the desired ratios at 100 °C to give the homogeneous mixtures. The gels were obtained by standing the mixtures for 4 days. On the other hand, the films were obtained by casting the mixtures on glass plates, followed by soaking in water and drying. The obtained gels and films were characterized by XRD and TGA measurements. The mechanical properties of the gels and films were evaluated under compressive and tensile modes, respectively.  相似文献

Quantum mechanical calculations were carried out to determine the mechanisms for the superiority of the imidazolium acetate-based ionic liquids to the corresponding chloride-based ionic liquids. Our results indicate that the imidazolium cation can react with the acetate anion to generate a carbene, a highly reactive intermediate. The carbene produced then reacts with cellulose to facilitate its dissolution in the ionic liquid solvents in addition to the stronger hydrogen bonds formed between the acetate anion and the hydroxyl groups on cellulose. The mechanisms for the imidazolium cation and acetate anion reactions involve the initial ion pairing of the cation and anion via hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interactions. The hydrogen bond formed between the C2–H on the imidazolium cation and COO of the anion facilitates the transfer of the H+ to the anion to form a carbene intermediate.  相似文献

In the present study, 1-allyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride (AmimCl), an ionic liquid (IL), was used to extract cellulose from pine, poplar, Chinese parasol, and catalpa wood chips. Results show that pine is the most suitable wood species for cellulose extraction with ILs. Its cellulose extraction rate can reach as high as 62% under optimized conditions and its cellulose content is as high as 85% when DMSO/water is used as the precipitant. The dissolution process can be clearly observed by hot stage optical microscopy, and the reaction time can be significantly reduced by microwave irradiation. 13C CP/MAS NMR, FTIR, XRD, and SEM were used to analyze the cellulose-rich extracts of pine. Results show that IL dissolves pine wood by destroying inter and intramolecular hydrogen bonds between lignocelluloses. The major component of pine extract is cellulose with a homogeneous and dense structure. After extraction, AmimCl can be easily recycled and reused.  相似文献

Molecular dynamics techniques were used to study oligomers that mimic cellulose and various derivatives in the amorphous phase, including cellulose (C), methyl cellulose (MC), hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC), and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC). Densities and solubility parameters were determined for a series of oligomers with increasing chain length. Both properties were found to change linearly with the degree of polymerization (from monomers to dodecamers). Extrapolated predictions of the densities (g/cm3) for long chain polymers are: C, 1.42; MC, 1.33; HPC, 1.30; and CMC, 1.42. Computed values for the solubility parameter (MPa1/2) are: C, 25.39; MC, 21.43; HPC, 21.70; and CMC, 24.35. We also evaluated the sensitivity of the solubility parameter to changes in the calculated density and found the dependence to be significant. The calculated solubility parameters were evaluated against experimental and other theoretical values as well as against selected ionic liquids comprised of cations in the imidazolium family and the chloride and trifluoroacetate anions.  相似文献

Nucleoside chemistry represents an important research area for drug discovery, as many nucleoside analogs are prominent drugs and have been widely applied for cancer and viral chemotherapy. However, the synthesis of modified nucleosides presents a major challenge, which is further aggravated by poor solubility of these compounds in common organic solvents. Most of the currently available methods for nucleoside modification employ toxic high boiling solvents; require long reaction time and tedious workup methods. As such, there is constant effort to develop process chemistry in alternative medium to limit the use of organic solvents that are hazardous to the environment and can be deleterious to human health. One such approach is to use ionic liquids, which are ‘designer materials’ with unique and tunable physico-chemical properties. Studies have shown that methodologies using ionic liquids are highly efficient and convenient for the synthesis of nucleoside analogs, as demonstrated by the preparation of pharmaceutically important anti-viral drugs. This article summarizes recent efforts on nucleoside modification using ionic liquids.  相似文献

Effective hydrolysis of chitosan, the N-deacetylated product of chitin, remains challenging. Here, we report acid-promoted hydrolysis of chitosan in imidazolium based ionic liquids with good total reducing sugars (TRS) yield under mild conditions. TRS yield reached over 60% in the presence of about 6.0 wt% concentrated hydrochloric acid at 100 °C within 7 h. Kinetic modeling of a typical experimental data set suggested that the hydrolysis most likely followed a consecutive first-order reaction sequence, where k1 and k2, the rate constants for TRS formation and degradation, were determined to be 0.01372 and 0.00015 min−1, respectively. Our method may be useful to explore new applications of natural chitin resources.  相似文献

Penicillin acylase catalysis in the presence of ionic liquids   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Several ionic liquids were used as reaction media for penicillin G acylase catalysis. In all the assayed ionic liquids, [bmim]PF6 proved good media for PGA-catalyzed hydrolysis. A novel [bmim]PF6/water two-phase system is provided for 6-aminopenicillanic acid (APA) production, which will be more benefical than aquous batch systems used widely in industrial production of APA.  相似文献

A new type of cellulose derivative, cellulose dehydroabietate (CDA), was synthesized by the O-acylation reaction of cellulose with dehydroabietic acid chloride (DHAC) using ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ([bmim]Br) as a solvent and 4-dimethyl-aminopyridine (DMAP) as a catalyst. The resulting CDA was characterized by means of FT-IR, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), and elemental analysis. Also, some properties of CDA were determined. These results showed that CDA has better solubility, water-repellency, and resistance to acids and bases than raw cellulose, and these properties increase with the DS of CDA.  相似文献

Direct dissolution of cellulose in NaOH/thiourea/urea aqueous solution   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1

Untreated cellulose was directly and quickly dissolved in NaOH/thiourea/urea aqueous solution. The mechanism of dissolution was investigated by SEM, WXRD and (13)C NMR. The components of this solvent cannot dissolve cellulose on their own, and the interactions between NaOH and urea, as well as between NaOH and thiourea, play an important role in improving the dissolution of cellulose. Moreover, (13)C NMR spectra proved that NaOH, thiourea, and urea were bound to cellulose molecules, which brings cellulose molecules into aqueous solution to a certain extent and prevents cellulose macromolecules from associating. (13)C NMR spectra of the cellulose solution show that this novel mixture is a direct solvent. Optical microscopy and CP MAS (13)C NMR were used to study the process of dissolution. The results reveal that cellulose is dissolved completely and that cellulose I (cotton linter) first changes to amorphous cellulose chains in solution, and then to cellulose II during regeneration. Moreover, a new, more effective dissolution method is proposed, as confirmed by dynamic rheology measurements.  相似文献

This paper reports a facile preparation of a flexible gel material from a solution of cellulose (15% w/w) in an ionic liquid of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride by keeping it at room temperature for 7 days. Elemental analysis data indicated that the obtained gel material was composed of cellulose, the ionic liquid, and water. Both XRD and TGA results suggested that crystalline structure of cellulose was largely disrupted in the material. However, the existence of non-crystalline aggregates was assumed by the XRD data of the material. The gel material was probably obtained by the formation of cellulose aggregates in the solution, attributed to the gradual absorption of water. When the material was heated at 120 degrees C, it became soft, and converted into a fluid at 150 degrees C. By keeping the soft material at room temperature for 2 days, a gel material was regenerated, which was more transparent compared with the original material.  相似文献

Blends of chitosan and cellulose were successfully produced using 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate (BMIMAc) as solvent media. Films were prepared from the blends by manually spreading the solution on a flat surface and precipitating the polymers in a mixture of methanol and water. To prevent the shrinkage of films, most of the absorbed water was removed by freeze drying under vacuum. Films prepared from the polymeric solutions were investigated by means of FT-IR, TGA, X-ray diffraction and SEM measurements. The shifting of the bands corresponding to -NH and CO groups of chitosan (FT-IR), the absence of the diffraction peaks at 2θ = 10.7 and 14.9° (XRD), the increased Ea for thermal decomposition for all the polymeric blends (MTGA), and the presence of an apparent homogeneous structure with no phase separation of the two polymers (SEM) provide evidence for the miscibility between chitosan and cellulose in the solid state.  相似文献

Continuous dynamic kinetic resolution processes in different ionic liquid/supercritical carbon dioxide biphasic systems were carried out by simultaneously using both immobilized Candida antarctica lipase B (Novozym 435) and silica modified with benzenosulfonic acid (SCX) catalysts at 40°C and 10 MPa. SCX was seen to act as an efficient heterogeneous chemical catalyst for the racemization of (S)-1-phenylethanol in different ionic liquid media ([emim][NTf2], [btma][NTf2] and [bmim][PF6]). Coating both chemical and enzymatic catalysts with ILs greatly improved the efficiency of the process, providing a good yield (76%) of (R)-1-phenylethyl propionate product with excellent enantioselectivity (ee = 91–98%) in continuous operation.  相似文献

The interactions of the cellulose molecule with several anions, including acetate , alkyl phosphate, tetrafluoroborate and hexafluorophosphate anions which are most commonly involved in the imidazolium ionic liquids (ILs), have been studied by performing density functional theory calculations. Based on calculated geometries, energies, IR characteristics, and electronic properties of the cellulose-anion complexes, it is found that the strength of interactions of anions with cellulose follows the order: acetate anion > alkyl phosphate anion > tetrafluoroborate anion > hexafluorophosphate anion, which is consistent with the experimentally observed solubility trend of cellulose in the corresponding imidazolium-based ILs. The present study may provide basic aids to some extent for understanding the dissolution behavior of cellulose in the imidazolium-based ILs.  相似文献

To reveal the impact of ionic liquids (ILs) on the stability of proteins, a series of ILs possessing same 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium cation [Bmim]+ with a set of Hofmeister anions such as SCN, HSO4, Cl, Br, CH3COO and I were used and their effects on the myoglobin (Mb) structure and stability were studied. For the sake of comparison and also to explore the extent of the stabilization behavior of ILs toward Mb stability, we have chosen a set of ionic salts (Is) of a fixed sodium cation (Na+) with the same series of anions such as SCN, SO4−2, Cl, Br, CH3COO and I. UV–vis, fluorescence and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopic techniques were used in order to investigate the stability behavior of Mb in ionic species (Is and ILs). The results reveal that both Is and ILs had a negative influence on the stability of Mb. Apparently, the flexibility in the native structure of Mb gradually increases with the increase in the concentration of Is and ILs at pH 7.0. Therefore, a sharp decrease in the transition temperature (Tm) of the native Mb is observed in the presence of Is and ILs.  相似文献
