Korean species of the Genus Scaphobaeocera Csiki (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Scaphidiinae) in Korea

The genus Scaphobaeocera Csiki including three species ( S. dorsalis Löbl, S. inexpectata Löbl, S. pecki Löbl) is identified for the first time in Korea. A key to the species is given with diagnosis and illustrations of important morphological features.     

Three new species of Antricola (Acari: Argasidae) from Brazil, with a key to the known species in the genus

Three new species of Antricola (Acari: Argasidae) are described from adult specimens collected on bat guano in different caves in Brazil. The female of Antricola guglielmonei n. sp. is easily determined by the presence of 2 smooth, depressed areas lacking setae in the posterolateral portions of the dorsum of the idiosoma, together with the partial fusion of the tubercles in the anteromedian portion of the idiosoma. The male of this species has a small spiracular plate surrounded by a pattern of tubercles disposed concentrically in its dorsal portion. Both sexes have cervical grooves very slightly marked. Antricola delacruzi n. sp. represents the only Antricola species with the dorsum of the idiosoma devoid of tubercles in both sexes and with scarce and minute setae placed over the smooth cuticle. The female of A. inexpectata n. sp. is known only from a few specimens. In this species, lines of smooth cuticle lacking setae separate the tubercles of the dorsum. In addition, there are 3 clumps of plumose setae close to the spiracular plate, in the ventrolateral portions of the idiosoma, in 3 well-delimited regions over cuticular thickenings. These 3 species share the peculiarity of a Haller's organ with the anterior pit bearing only 7 + 2 setae. The collection of these new species in Brazilian caves greatly expands the known range of the genus. A key to the adults of all known species of the genus is provided.     

Revision of the genus Phloeoditica Schedl - with description of two new genera and two new species in Phloeosinini (Coleoptera, Curculionidae, Scolytinae)

The genus Phloeoditica Schedl currently includes four species from Southeast Asia. These species vary substantially in important morphological characters and indicate the existence of multiple genera for these species. A revision based on morphological and in part molecular data resulted in the transfer of Phloeoditica setosa to Pseudoxylechinus the erection of a new genus Asiophilus for Phloeoditica phloeosinoides and a new species Asiophilus macropunctatus from Vietnam. Another new genus with affinities to Phloeoditica is described based on the new species Microditica uniseriata from Thailand. The new genera are included in a revised key to the tribe Phloeosinini.

对我国伊缘蝽属Rhopalus及已知的 9个种作了总结 ,对属和中国分布种的形态特征进行了补充描述 ,并提供了新的分布记录及检索表。     

小刺甲属系统学研究(鞘翅目,拟步甲科)

对中国及其毗邻地区的小刺甲属Myatis Bates,1879进行了系统学研究,共记录7种,绘制了新种和已知种的特征图和的成虫照片,编制了世界小刺甲属已知种检索表,并对该属的系统进化关系进行了初步的支序分析.标本保存在河北大学博物馆.新种描述如下.     

Character- and tree-based delimitation of species in the 'Cichlasoma' facetum group (Teleostei, Cichlidae) with the description of a new genus

The 'Cichlasoma' facetum group is part of the taxonomically complex group of Neotropical cichlid fishes of the tribe Heroini. Many species groups and unplaced species of heroines are still left without a generic name following the revision of the genus Cichlasoma . We describe here the 'Cichlasoma' facetum group as a new genus, Australoheros , and provide evidence for its monophyly based on phylogenetic analyses of morphological and mtDNA characters. Australoheros is morphologically characterized by the lowest values in meristic characters among heroines and by three apomorphic characters in coloration pattern. In addition to the three described species of Australoheros , our results of species delimitation based on a combination of tree- and character-based approaches identify seven putatively new species of Australoheros . Several coding schemes of morphological characters are used to recover the intrageneric relationships within the genus, resulting in very similar topologies. Discovery of additional species within the genus is expected once material from the whole distribution area is studied.     

A new species report of Caroperla Kohno, 1946 (Plecoptera: Perlidae) from China

A brief taxonomic synopsis of the genus Caroperla Kohno, 1946 is presented and its further generic delimitation is defined along with a new species, C. siveci sp. n. from the Wuyishan Mountain of Fujian, China. It represents the first report of the genus from China and the third species of the genus. The morphological comparison of the new species with the two other known species is given.     

Metastevia (Compositae: Eupatorieae): A new genus from Mexico

A new genus and species from Mexico,Metastevia hintonii, is described. The genus, considered to be closely related to and derived fromStevia, differs in seven morphological features from all known species ofStevia. The reasons for recognizing the new genus are discussed in detail.     

Taxonomy and phylogeny of a new Central American beetle genus: Catrachia (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae)

A new genus and two species of Melolonthinae from Honduras and Nicaragua are described. A phylogenetic analysis, carried out using morphological characters, suggests that Catrachia is a strongly supported monophyletic group. Catrachia is therefore established as a new genus, constituted by two new species, Catrachia mariana and Catrachia nica.     

中国伪短痣蚜属（蚜科：伪短痣蚜亚科）研究及新种记述

研究表明中国伪短痣蚜属（Aiceona Takahashi,1921)四个种,其中包括一个新种,长柄伪短痣蚜Aiceona longifestuca,sp.nov.和一个新记录种,日本伪短痣蚜Aiceona japonica Takahashi,1960,中记述了大隅伪短痣蚜Aiceona osugii Takahashi,1924的两种新型－雌性蚜和雄性蚜,长柄伪短痣蚜Aiceona longifestuca,sp.nov,正模：无翅孤雌蚜,No.Y2542-1-1-2,May15,1980,云南省宾川县,寄主植物未知;本新种因无翅孤雌蚜中胸腹岔具有长柄而得名,本新种与A.pallida Ghosh and Raychaudhuri 1972的不同在于：无翅孤雌：中胸腹岔具长槽（后：两臂分离）;喙端节为后足跗节Ⅱ的0．65倍,端部具有2根次生长（后：为0．95－1．0倍,有3对次生毛）;腹部背片Ⅰ-Ⅵ每节具有淡褐色缘斑,背片Ⅶ-Ⅷ全节具有淡褐色横带（后：体背除毛基斑外,无缘斑和横带）;体背毛长,腹部前几节背板毛长为触角节Ⅲ最宽直径的3．75倍,背片Ⅷ毛长为0.21mm（后：体背毛短,腹部前几节背板毛长为触角节Ⅲ最宽直径的2．5倍,背片Ⅷ毛长为0.14mm）。提供了该属中国已知种的两个分种检索表,各种提供了地理分布和寄生植物信息,新种和新型给出形态特征图,所有标本保存在中国科学院院动物研究所动物标本馆。     

中国树蚁蛉属分类研究(脉翅目,蚁蛉科)

记述了中国蚁蛉科树蚁蛉属Dendroleon 5种,其中包括3新种:丽翅树蚁蛉Dendroleon callipterum Wan et Yang,sp.nov.,李氏树蚁蛉Dendroleon lii Wan et Wang,sp.nov.,珠斑树蚁蛉Dendroleon perlistigma Wan et Wang,sp.nov..模式标本保存在中国农业大学昆虫标本馆.     

中国坚蚜属Cerataphis研究及新种记述(同翅目：蚜总科，扁蚜科)

研究了中国的坚蚜属Cerataphis Lichtenstein,并记述了一个新种寄坚蚜Cerataphis parsitica Qiao et Zhang。首次描述了该属的胚胎学特征,提供了8个形态特征图、寄主植物、地理分布以及中国坚蚜属的分种检索表。模式标本保存在中国科学院动物研究所。     

假格链格孢属一新种

报道丝孢纲假格链格孢属一新种一大戟生假格链格孢(Nimbya euphorbiicola W.Q.Chen et T. Y. Zhana)。对新种作了拉丁文和中文描述。模式标本保藏于西北农业大学真菌标本室(HMUABO)。     

TAXONOMIC REVIEW ON THE GENUS AICEONA (APHIDIDAE: AICEONINAE) IN CHINA, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF ONE NEW SPECIES

Abstract The aphid genus Aiceonu in China is studied. Four Chinese species of this genus were recognized. A new species, Aiceona longifestuca , sp. onv. and hitherto unknown morphs of Aiceona osugii are described and Aiceona juponica is firstly recorded in China. Two keys to the Chinese species of this genus, including geographical distribution, host plants and illustrations of morphological figures of new species are provided. All specimens including types are deposited in Zoological Museum, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, P. R. China.     

长孢假小蜜环菌，一种孢子杆状的亚洲产新种

根据形态和分子系统发育证据,描述采自我国西南的新种长孢假小蜜环菌Pseudoarmillariella bacillaris.与假小蜜环菌属Pseudoarmillariella已知分布于北美-中美洲和大洋洲的2个物种相比,该新种的突出特征是担孢子杆状.在亚洲发现假小蜜环菌属真菌,表明该属的地理分布范围与过去已知的相比要广泛得多.     

Amorosia littoralis gen. sp. nov., a new genus and species name for the scorpinone and caffeine-producing hyphomycete from the littoral zone in The Bahamas

The new generic and species name Amorosia littoralis gen. sp. nov. is introduced for the conidial dematiaceous hyphomycete isolated from the littoral zone in The Bahamas and reported in 2001 to produce the novel aza-anthraquinone scorpinone, and also caffeine. No satisfactory generic placement was found at the time, but subsequent morphological and molecular investigations reveal that a new generic name is required. The new genus has some similarity to several fungi described in Trichocladium, but differs substantially from the type species of that genus in the form of the conidia and the lack of ornamentation. BLAST studies using the 18S and 28S rDNA gene sequences place the new genus in the Sporormiaceae. In addition to the morphological studies, an ultrastructural examination of the conspicuous porate septa of hyphae showed that they do not belong to a basidiomycete.
