以尖孢镰刀菌、腐皮镰孢菌、胶孢炭疽菌、拟盘多毛孢菌等林木常见病原菌为指示菌,用平板对峙法和菌丝球干重法,从土壤固氮细菌群中筛选广谱拮抗菌株,并调查了各菌株的溶磷及解钾能力。结果表明:对4种病原菌拮抗能力较强的菌株有24株,其中11株能溶解无机磷,7株能溶解有机磷,4株有解钾功能。通过拮抗能力复筛得到最优菌株为菌株2024和7014。菌种鉴定结果表明2024菌株为枯草芽孢杆菌亚种(Bacillus subtilis subsp. subtilis),7014菌株为成团泛菌(Pantoea vagans)。  相似文献

【目的】分离具有植物促生功能的苜蓿内生菌。【方法】从苜蓿的新鲜组织中分离纯化菌株,进行16S r RNA基因序列分析,生理生化鉴定并检测内生菌对苜蓿的促生特性。【结果】获得两株苜蓿内生菌,成团泛菌ASR16和短小芽孢杆菌ALR33。两株菌株均能产生植物生长激素IAA和嗜铁素,能溶解磷,对苜蓿的促生作用明显。【结论】获得两株具有植物促生特性的苜蓿内生菌ASR16和ALR33,可作为微生物菌肥的研究基础。  相似文献

Abstract. 1. Large Bombus vagans workers concentrated their foraging upon deeper florets of cow vetch ( Vicia cracca ) more than did smaller workers. Large and small workers did not differ significantly in their foraging rates, which were measured in several ways.
2. The average depth of vetch florets varied between sites on the study area, but significant differences did not occur on a single inflorescence. The foraging differences of large and small bees probably result from a fine partitioning of the microhabitat.
3. When the nectar-robbing B.terricola was present, many B.vagans workers became secondary robbers at holes made in vetch corollas. Small B.vagans workers robbed significantly more frequently than did large workers.  相似文献

为探讨溶磷细菌对土壤磷素的转化效果,提高黄河三角洲盐碱地土壤肥力。从黄河三角洲盐地碱蓬根际土壤中选取一株高效溶磷细菌RPB03,采用单因子实验,探究不同环境因子对RPB03菌株溶磷效果的影响。结果表明:RPB03菌株为Pantoea vagans,隶属泛菌属。在密闭培养方式下,溶磷菌RPB03菌株在较高的盐度、温度和碱性条件下,溶磷量皆达到300 mg/L以上,溶磷能力良好。盆栽实验结果表明,该菌可有效促进土壤中无效态磷向有效态磷的转化(有效磷含量从0.029 mg/kg提升至0.043 mg/kg)。研究表明,RPB03菌株是一株耐盐碱性较强的高效溶磷细菌,适合在黄河三角洲盐碱地中生存,且其存在对提升黄河三角洲盐碱土壤有效磷含量具有促进作用。  相似文献

Abstract .Males and females of the dung fly species Coproica vagans Haliday 1833 (Diptera: Sphaeroceridae) mate soon after emergence from the puparium. At this time females still have immature ovaries. Therefore, mating precedes vitellogenesis in this species. Data presented here show that mating enhances oogenesis in C. vagans females. Mated females mature their first egg batch sooner and oviposit four days earlier than virgin conspecifics. Mating-related enhancement of oogenesis could be explained either through nutritional benefits to females or male chemical or stimulatory manipulation of the females. Oogenesis was divided into six arbitrary stages, with vitellogenesis beginning in stage 4. Ovarian development beyond stage 4 is rapid compared with pre-vitellogenetic development. Virgin females pause oogenesis in stage 4. The genital opening of mated females is blocked by a mating plug that persists until oviposition begins. The plug seems to ensure the paternity of the last male to mate by preventing females from remating. The operational sex ratio in C. vagans populations is presumed to be strongly male-biased.  相似文献

The effects of altitude and seed size on germination and seedling survival were studied in Calluna vulgaris, Erica cinerea and Erica vagans. Experiments were carried out in the laboratory over a one year period. Seeds collected from heathlands of different altitudes were divided in two size classes. They were sowed on moist filter paper inside Petri dishes which were placed in chambers at 20 °C and a photoperiod of 12 h light/12 h darkeness. The seeds of Calluna vulgaris were the first to begin germination and had the highest rate and percentage of germination. The germination of Erica vagans was moderate, while seeds of Erica cinerea germinated later and the germination was very low. Seeds of Calluna vulgaris and E. cinerea collected at the highest altitudes had the highest germination percentages. Seed size in Calluna vulgaris and E. cinerea did not affect germination. However, large seeds of Erica vagans had higher germination rates and percentages than small seeds. The large seed size of Calluna vulgaris contributes to a better survival and growth of its seedlings.  相似文献

The colony of Erica vagans in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland was surveyed and soil and species-association analyses were carried out. The species is found in a base-rich flush, were it survives due to reduced competition from calcifuge species and is associated with other species that tolerate the relatively calcareous environment. The colony is uniquely uniform in flower colour and does not appear to be able to reproduce sexually at this time. The species probably arrived in Ireland in postglacial times and has since becomegeneticallydistinct.fi. vagans does not appear to be a recent introduction, though man may have been involved in determining its present distribution and that of the other so-called "Hiberno-Lusitanian"Ericaceae. While considerable doubt remains concerning the origin and age of the colony, the species cannot be regarded as native.  相似文献

The majority of Pantoea species are either plant-pathogenic or plant-associated and cause a wide variety of symptoms on a range of hosts. Identification of Pantoea species is difficult due to minor differences in phenotypic characteristics between them and related Enterobacteriaceae. Fluorescent amplified fragment length polymorphism (FAFLP) analysis was investigated for use as a rapid, molecular-based identification technique to the species level of the genus Pantoea. Following analysis of the band patterns generated by FAFLP, seven distinct clusters were observed, one for each validly published species of the genus. FAFLP has proven to be a rapid, reproducible identification technique for all species of the genus Pantoea.  相似文献

Pantoea is comprised of a broad spectrum of species, including plant pathogens. Here, we provide an annotated genome sequence of Pantoea sp. strain Sc 1, which was isolated from a diseased cotton boll. Induced disease resistance of plants is often associated with an enhanced capacity to activate cellular defense responses to pathogen attack, named the "primed" state of the plant. Exopolysaccharides of Pantoea agglomerans have recently been reported as the first priming active component of bacterial origin in wheat cells. We now show that Pantoea exopolysaccharides also prime rice cells for better elicitation of a rapid oxidative burst. In contrast, in tobacco and parsley cell cultures Pantoea exopolysaccharides activate the oxidative burst response directly. Our results point to a different recognition and/or mode of action of Pantoea exopolysaccharides in monocot and dicot plants.  相似文献

Analysis of surface-spread synaptonemal complexes of zygotene and pachytene spermatocytes was carried out on centric-shift heterozygotes of grasshoppers. These rearrangements affected the M7 chromosome in Chorthippus vagans and the M6 and S8 chromosomes in Chorthippus apricarius. The shifts in the latter two chromosomes were also associated with C-heterochromatin variations between homologous chromosomes. Rearranged chromosomes proceeded directly to heterosynapsis without an apparent intervening homosynaptic phase in M7 bivalents of Ch. vagans and M6 bivalents of Ch. apricarius. In the latter case, axial equalization of the heterochromatin polymorphism was also achieved. On the other hand, asynapsis of the intercentromeric regions throughout pachytene was the rule in the centric shift involving the S8 chromosome of Ch. apricarius. In the three cases analysed, the production of unbalanced gametes in the heterozygotes is precluded either by the lack of chiasma formation in heterosynapsed rearranged segments or by the lack of pairing between such segments. Chiasmata were limited to the homologous regions of the heteromorphic bivalents.  相似文献

The production of quorum-sensing-related signal molecules (QSRMs) among culturable bacteria comprising the community on wheat heads was investigated. The taxonomic position of 186 bacterial isolates obtained from ten heads was inferred based on 16S rRNA gene sequences, and their QSRM production was determined using two bioreporter strains of N-acylhomoserine lactones. Approximately 33% of isolates produced QSRMs, though the proportion of QSRM-producing isolates on a wheat head was significantly negatively correlated with population size. Most of the producing isolates were Pantoea species, most commonly Pantoea ananatis. Furthermore, the proportion of Pantoea ananatis that produced QSRMs was significantly negatively correlated with the number of bacterial genera (community richness) on each head. Finally, community richness was positively correlated with population size. Qualitative analysis using thin-layer-chromatography revealed that the QSRMs of Pantoea isolates were composed of at least two compounds. This is the first report indicating that Pantoea ananatis isolates inhabiting wheat heads are capable of producing QSRMs. QSRM production by Pantoea spp. may contribute to the predominance of this genus on wheat heads, particularly at relatively low population densities and community diversity.  相似文献

The aims of the study were to increase the biomass and to alleviate the deleterious effects of cadmium (Cd) in the switchgrass cultivars (Panicum virgatum L.) Alamo and Cave-in-Rock (CIR) under cadmium (Cd) stress using Cd-tolerant shoot endophytic plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB). Four shoot endophytic bacterial strains, viz. Bc09, So23, E02, and Oj24, were isolated from the above-ground parts of plants grown in a Cd-polluted soil and were successfully identified by 16S rRNA gene sequencing as Pseudomonas grimontii, Pantoea vagans, Pseudomonas veronii, and Pseudomonas fluorescens, respectively. These four strains were adapted to high CdCl2 concentrations as they had higher Cd uptake capacities. In addition, they possessed a huge amount of growth regulatory activities e.g., indole acetic acid production, 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid deaminase (ACCD) activity, and phosphate solubilization. Growth particularly the height and biomass of both cultivars increased significantly in response to PGPB inoculation in the 20 µM CdCl2 stress. The shoot biomass of the PGPB-inoculated Alamo was higher than the CIR under Cd stress. Interestingly, the level of Cd inside PGPB-inoculated plant tissues and the translocation factors were lower compared with the noninoculated Cd control plants. CIR plants exhibited higher Cd content than Alamo plants. Through confocal microscopy, green fluorescence was observed in roots and leaf tissues 2 days after the inoculation of green fluorescent protein (GFP)-labeled bacteria in Alamo, which confirmed the successful colonization of bacteria inside the plant tissues. These shoot endophytic PGPB and switchgrass interactions are useful for the sustainable biomass production of bioenergy crop in a Cd-contaminated environment.  相似文献

Dry, oligotrophic ecosystems are highly threatened in Europe due to massive changes in land use and eutrophication. The conservation of these xeric habitats has received much attention, whereas the ecotones between xeric habitats and other habitat types are often disregarded. One species which mainly inhabits the transition zone between pine forests and adjacent xeric habitats is the heath grasshopper, Chorthippus vagans. This species is endangered in large parts of Europe. One of the largest populations in northern Germany is found on a degraded inland dune near Hanover. This population is threatened by dense growth of deciduous trees and litter accumulation. We analyzed changes in the distribution of this population after the implementation of conservation measures (thinning out the forest and removal of leaf litter). Moreover, we examined dispersal distances of the species in order to assess its colonization potential. We also studied the microhabitat preferences of C. vagans to assess key factors influencing its local distribution. Our data show a substantial growth in population size, which might be a consequence of the conservation measures. New patches on the dune were colonized, promoting dispersal between the subpopulations. We propose that restoration of forest-dune ecotones should be considered more often in landscape planning and conservation management.  相似文献

Colonization ability of the two endophytic bacteria, isolated from surface sterilized seeds of Jaisurya variety of deep-water rice viz., Pantoea sp. and Ochrobactrum sp., was compared after genetically tagging them with a constitutively expressing green fluorescent protein gene (gfp). Confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) of hydroponically grown seedlings of Jaisurya rice, inoculated with gfp-tagged endophytes, revealed that both Pantoea sp. and Ochrobactrum sp. colonized the intercellular spaces in the root cortex when inoculated separately. Colonization by gfp-tagged Ochrobactrum sp. was severely inhibited when co-inoculated with an equal number (10(5) c.f.u. ml(-1)) of wild type Pantoea sp., but the converse was not true. Pantoea sp. was a more aggressive endophytic colonizer of its host than Ochrobactrum sp. The potential of using GFP reporter and CLSM as tools in evaluating competitive ability of colonization among endophytes is herewith demonstrated.  相似文献

Pantoea ananatis causes disease symptoms in a wide range of economically important agricultural crops and forest tree species worldwide. It is regarded as an emerging pathogen based on the increasing number of reports of diseases occurring on previously unrecorded hosts in different parts of the world. Its unconventional nature lies in the fact that, unlike the majority of plant pathogenic microbes, P. ananatis is capable of infecting humans and occurs in diverse ecological niches, such as part of a bacterial community contaminating aviation jet fuel tanks and contributing to growth promotion in potato and pepper.
Taxonomy: Bacteria; Gammaproteobacteria ; family Enterobacteriaceae ; genus Pantoea.
Microbiological properties: Gram-negative; facultatively anaerobic; most strains are motile and produce a yellow pigment in culture; indole positive.
Biology: Pantoea ananatis is a common epiphyte; it also occurs endophytically in hosts where it has been reported to cause disease symptoms and in hosts where no such symptoms have been described. Some strains are ice-nucleating, a feature which has been used as a biological control mechanism against some insect pests of agricultural crops and by the food industry.
Disease symptoms: Pantoea ananatis infects both monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous plants. The symptoms are diverse depending on the host infected, and include leaf blotches and spots, die-back, and stalk, fruit and bulb rot.
Biological control agent: Pantoea ananatis has both antifungal and antibacterial properties. These characteristics have the potential of being exploited by biological control specialists.  相似文献
