对华南 5种人工林凋落物量、凋落物养分及绿叶养分含量的测定结果表明 ,各种人工林凋落物量大小依次为 :马占相思 (11.1t·hm-2 ) >湿地松 (7.3t·hm-2 ) >荷木 (6 .5t·hm-2 ) >大叶相思 (4.8t·hm-2 ) >柠檬桉(2 .6t·hm-2 ) .马占相思通过落叶回归土壤的养分量高于其它类型 .5种人工林均通过养分转移机制 ,大量从枯老叶中转移N、P、K养分 ,其中马占相思转移的养分量最大 ,营养转移的季节性差别较大 .各种人工林对其它元素的转移现象不确定 .  相似文献

The nutrient cycling and foliar status for the elements Ca, Mg, K, N, P, S, Fe, Mn, Zn and Cu were investigated in an urban forest of Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis) in 2004 in Athens, Greece in order to draw conclusions on the productivity status and health of the ecosystem. The fluxes of bulk and throughfall deposition were characterized by the high amounts of Ca, organic N and sulfate S. The magnitude of the sulfate S fluxes indicated a polluted atmosphere. The nutrient enrichment in throughfall was appreciable for ammonium N, P and Mn. The mineral soil formed the largest pool for all the elements followed by the forest floor, trunk wood and trunk bark. The understory vegetation consisting of annual plants proved important for storing N, P and K. Compared to current year needles of Aleppo pine in remote forests of Spain, the needles of the Aleppo pine trees in Athens had significantly higher concentrations of Ca, N, P and Cu and significantly lower concentrations of Mg and Zn. The soil had a high concentration of calcium carbonate and accordingly high pH values. When all inputs to the forest floor were taken into account, the mean residence time of nutrients in the forest floor followed the order Fe > Mn > Cu > Ca > Mg > P > Zn > N > K > S.  相似文献

Breakdown and nutrient dynamics of submerged macrophytes were studied in Myall Lake, Australia. Mass loss of Myriophyllum sulsagineum was the lowest (64.90%) among the studied macrophytes during the 322 days followed by charophytes (60.79%), whereas Najas marina and Vallisneria gigantea lost 91.15 and 86.02% of their respective initial mass during that time. The overall exponential breakdown rates of Najas marina and Vallisneria gigantea were similar, with k-values of 0.24 and 0.23 day−1, respectively. These rates were significantly higher than the break down rates of charophytes (0.007 day−1) and M. sulsagineum (0.008 day−1). During growth phase, water column depicted lower nutrient concentrations while during decay period, significant increase in water column nutrients resulted. Release of nutrients from decomposing macrophytes and incorporation of these nutrients into sedimentary phase as well as uptake of nutrients by the growing macrophytes, can present a considerable cycling pathway of nutrients in Myall lake system. The results of this study suggest that different submerged macrophytes may differ appreciably in quality and may exhibit different decomposition rates, patterns and nutrient dynamics in aquatic ecosystems in general, and Myall lakes in particular.  相似文献

Summary The vertical distribution of inorganic nutrient concentrations in red pine were dependent on the foliage age. Older foliage did not show an average vertical gradient while younger foliage did show a significant gradient. Horizontal gradients across foliage age classes in a branch whorl were consistent for all branch whorls, but the relative difference between the concentration of the current foliage and foliage three years-old or older was dependent on crown position. Coefficients of variation (CV) did not show a variability gradient in the crown for nitrogen and phosphorus. Variability of potassium tended to decrease as foliage age increased. Foliar litter decomposition of nine species in broadleaf-mixed Korean pine plantation forests, northeast China was assessed over a 34-month field experiment using litterbag method. Litter mass loss generally followed a sequential decomposition of water-soluble fraction (WSF), acid-soluble fraction (ASF), and acid-insoluble fraction (AIF). WSF decomposition contributed most of litter mass loss in the first 6 months, while ASF accounted for most of litter mass loss thereafter. There existed significant autocorrelations among the initial litter quality indices. Initial N, K, Ca, AIF, AIF/N, ASF/N, and WSF/N were significantly related to the percent remaining of litter mass, N, P, Ca, and Mg in both month 12 and month 34. No litter quality can significantly predict the percent remaining of AIF and K. N and P were immobilized by all litters, but Ca, Mg, and K exhibited minor or no immobilization phase. N was the most limiting element in this forest based on the results of correlation analysis and nutrient elements release dynamics. The relationships between WSF, ASF, and AIF loss and N or P release rate fitted the polynomial regression. The decomposition of WSF and ASF were faster than N and P were mineralized during the study. AIF loss rate relative to N and P loss varied greatly among species, with high-N litter showing slower AIF decomposition rates than N and P. The loss rates of WSF and ASF were in proportion to that of K, Ca, and Mg, while AIF decomposed slower than K, Ca, and Mg. Summary The seasonal pattern and quantity of litterfall were studied during a two-year period in two unthinned stands ofPinus caribaea Morelet var. hondurensis Barr. and Golf. in Nigeria. Although pine needles were cast continuously throughout the year, the peak period of litterfall occurred in the dry months of March and April. Mean values of annual litterfall were 3068 and 3665 kg/ha in the two stands aged 7–9 and 9–11 years respectively. Nutrient returns in litterfall in the stands had mean values of 15.0, 0.6, 17.3, 18.2 and 6.3 kg/ha of N, P, K, Ca and Mg respectively. Comparatively low amounts of N and P returned in litterfall were attributed to soil deficiencies of the two elements.Measurements of ground litter showed considerable dry matter accumulation (11378 kg/ha) in the litter layers. Estimates of litter decomposition rate and recycling time showed that it would take 3 to 4 years for the organic matter in annual litterfall to decompose completely as contrasted to about 2 to 5 months often reported under mixed nautral savanna vegetation in the same climatic environment. Similar estimates of nutrient recycling time also showed that between 2 to 4 years were required to mineralize nutrient elements in the annual litterfall; the relative mobilities of the elements were in the order K>Mg>P>NCa.  相似文献

Summary Nutrient pools in litter and soil and the major nutrient transfers and additions in rainfall, throughfall and litterfall were measured in eight mature, undisturbed eucalypt forests covering a range of species, climate, productivity and soil type. Litterfall is the major pathway for the return of N, P, Ca and usually Mg, to the soil. The forests covered almost the range of litterfall reported for eucalypt forests and, in conjunction with published data, litterfall was strongly related to climatic variables. Extractable P in the soil and P concentrations in litter and litterfall were significantly higher in two sub-alpine forests (Eucalyptus pauciflora andE. delegatensis) than in all other forests. In general, nutrient turnover, particularly N turnover, was related to the rate of organic matter turnover. Rates of organic matter turnover in these forests and in other studies of eucalypts were correlated with climatic conditions using the simple climatic scalar developed by Vitousek. Nitrogen turnover, especially that proportion cycling via leaf litterfall is primarily a function of organic matter turnover, but litter quality appears also to have an influence.  相似文献

对日本冲绳岛北部不同坡位的琉球松人工林凋落物量及其养分归还量进行了为期3年的观测研究,结果表明,琉球松成林年凋落物量为6.54~8.05Mg·hm^-2·年^-1,其凋落高峰出现在6、7月份.台风干扰对年凋落物量及其季节动态影响显著.凋落物不同组分的养分含量差异明显.年均养分归还总量为113.4~154.6kg·hm^-2·年^-1,其中氮素归还量最大,占42.2%;各养分归还量的大小依次为N>Ca>K>Mg>Na>P.两调查林分由于立地条件的显著差异,年均凋落物量及其相应的养分归还量亦存在明显差异.在立地条件较好的下坡,林分P1的年均凋落物量达8.05Mg·hm^-2·年^-1,高于立地条件相对较差的上坡的林分P2的23.1%;其相应的年养分归还量为:N66、04,P1.63,K17.42,Ca48.31,Mg14.65和N。6、57kg·hm^-2·年^-1,分别高于林分P2的39.7%、48.8%、39.4%、32.9%、24.8%和49.3%.两林分凋落物的养分利用效率分别是N为122和138,P为4934和5945,K为462和523,林分P1明显低于林分P2,这与林分P2的立地条件较差相关.可见,所调查的琉球松林是一种高效的养分利用系统。  相似文献

Abstract. Natural regeneration of Pinus resinosa (red pine) seedlings around mature trees was studied in burned and unburned stands. Growth inhibitory effects of the forest organic matter on red pine seedlings was tested by a stair-step experiment using leachate of forest soil monoliths and also by a seed germination bio-assay using forest floor substrates. To test if higher burning temperatures can remove the allelopathic effects of red pine-Kalmia organic matter, a laboratory bio-assay was conducted by germinating red pine seeds on the organic matter burned at 200, 400, 600 and 800°C. Deposition of dry needles and a thick duff layer under red pine stands affected seedling establishment. Red pine seedling establishment increased with the decreasing thickness of duff layer away from the stump of the seed-bearing trees. Wildfire helped in removing the duff layer and increased seedling establishment. A high fuel load within a 0 - 1 m radius around the tree stump caused a deep burn of the organic matter including part of the soil seed reserve. On a burned-over surface, more seedlings established in a band between 1 and 2 m around the stump than inside and outside the band. Primary root growth of red pine was severely inhibited when the seedlings were grown in unburned forest floor organic matter where Kalmia was the principal understory species. Water leachate of a Pinus resinosa-Kalmia soil monolith was inhibitory to red pine seedling growth. In greenhouse conditions, the seedlings grew well in burned-over soil from a Pinus resinosa stand. Burned organic matter from a red pine forest showed an increase in pH with a burning temperature of 600°C. Primary root growth of red pine seedlings was similarly increased with increasing temperature up to 600°C; at higher temperatures the root length of seedlings did not increase any further.  相似文献

At altitudes between 1300 m to 2100 m in the Etna massif (Sicily), an endemic species of theBetula genus,Betula aetnensis Rafin, grows in a well-defined microclimatical context. Aboveground biomass and nutrient content studies within one stand revealed no significant differences from the otherBetula species, normally found in colder more temperate climate regions.Throughout the studied sites, biomass production, nutrient cycling and various structural or physiological characteristics (leaf area index) varied very little.Other researches indicate that the originality ofBetula aetnensis lies more in the histological or anatomical characteristics of its water conducting system which enables the species to adapt to Mediterranean-climate summer droughts in the Etna massif.

 Mycorrhiza ontogeny and details of Hartig net and mantle structure were compared in ectomycorrhizas synthesized in growth pouches between the broad host range fungus Paxillus involutus and the tree species European black alder (Alnus glutinosa) and red pine (Pinus resinosa). In Alnus glutinosa, a paraepidermal Hartig net was restricted to the proximal (basal) portion of first-order laterals; the hypodermal layer appeared to be a barrier to fungal penetration. Phi-thickenings were present in some cortical cells but these were not related to lack of fungal ingress into the cortex. The mantle was often present close to the root apex but in many roots it was loosely organized and patchy. In several instances, the mantle formed around the root apex was only temporary; renewed root growth occurred without the formation of a mantle. In Pinus resinosa, the Hartig net developed between cortical cell layers of monopodial and dichotomously branched first–order laterals. Fungal hyphae in the Hartig net exhibited a complex labyrinthine mode of growth. The mantle had a pseudoparenchymatous structure and covered the root, including apices of dichotomously branched roots. The Paxillus–Pinus resinosa interaction had all the characteristics of a compatible ectomycorrhizal association. The Paxillus–Alnus glutinosa interaction, however, showed only aspects of superficial ectomycorrhizas, including the presence of a minimal (sometimes absent) and mostly proximal Hartig net and variable mantle development. Sclerotia were produced in the extraradical mycelium of Paxillus involutus when associated with either Alnus glutinosa or Pinus resinosa. Accepted: 22 October 1998  相似文献

通过对中亚热带格氏栲天然林 (natural forest of Castanopsis kawakamii, 约150a)、格氏栲和杉木人工林 (monoculture plantations of C. Kawakamii and Cunninghamia lanceolata,33年生) 凋落叶分解过程中养分动态的研究表明,各凋落叶分解过程中N初始浓度均发生不同程度的增加后下降;除格氏栲天然林中其它树种叶和杉木叶P浓度先增加后下降外,其它均随分解过程而下降;除杉木叶外,其它类型凋落叶的Ca和Mg浓度呈上升趋势;凋落叶K浓度均随分解过程不断下降.养分残留率与分解时间之间存在着指数函数关系xt=x0e-kt.凋落叶分解过程中各养分释放常数分别为N(kN) 0.678~4.088;P (kP) 0.621~4.308;K(kK) 1.408~4.421;Ca (kCa) 0.799~3.756;Mg (kMg) 0.837 ~ 3.894.除杉木叶外,其它凋落叶分解过程中均呈kK>kP>kN>kMg>kCa的顺序变化.各林分凋落叶的年养分释放量分别为N 10.73~48.19kg/(hm2·a),P 0.61~3.70kg/(hm2·a),K 6.66~39.61kg/(hm2·a),Ca 17.90~20.91kg/(hm2·a),Mg 3.21~9.85kg/(hm2·a).与针叶树人工林相比,天然阔叶林凋落叶分解过程中较快的养分释放和较高的养分释放量有利于促进养分再循环,这对地力维持有重要作用.  相似文献

The forest type dominated by Peltogyne gracilipes (Caesalpiniaceae) on the riverine Marací Island is the least speciesrich of any recorded for Brazilian Amazonia. Because the forest has high soil and foliar Mg concentrations, and Mg is known to be toxic to plant growth at high concentrations, this study tested the hypothesis that dominance by Peltogyne is related to Mg leaf litter amounts and decomposition. We predicted that decomposition of Peltogyne leaves would differ from that of other species, and that their decomposition would result in a pulse of Mg release. Three plots (50 × 50 m) were established in each of three forest types: Peltogyne‐rich forest (PRF; dominated by P. gracilipes),Peltogyne‐poor forest (PPF), and forest without Peltogyne (FWP). Three leaf litter decomposition experiments tested if decomposition of mixed leaf litter in coarse‐ mesh (CM) litterbags differed among forests (experiment 1); whether or not decomposition and nutrient release of Ecclinusa guianensis, Lueheopsis duckeana, and Peltogyne in CM litterbags differed among forests and species (experiment 2); and using fine‐mesh (FM) litterbags, investigated the differences in the influence of fauna! activity on Ecclinusa and Peltogyne decomposition (experiment 3). Decomposition was independent of the presence and dominance of Peltogyne, since decomposition rates in both PRF and FWP were in general lower than in PPF. These differences appeared to be related to fauna] activity. The decomposition of Peltogyne leaves was lower than that of the other species tested and was more affected by microbial and physical action. It is possible that the monodominance of Peltogyne is related to its deciduousness and faster decomposition in the dry season, which coincides with a large leaf fall. Magnesium was lost quickly from the Peltogyne leaves and the resultant pulses of Mg into the soil during the heavy rains at the beginning of the wet season may be deleterious for other species that are not adapted to high solution Mg concentrations. Results obtained were consistent with the hypothesis that Peltogyne dominance is related to the pattern of its leaf decomposition and the seasonal pulses of toxic Mg.  相似文献

We studied litter decomposition and nutrient release in a tropical seasonal rain forest of Xishuangbanna, Southwest China. The monthly decay rates (k) of leaf litter ranged from 0.02 to 0.21/mo, and correlated with rainfall and soil moisture. Annual k values for leaf litter (1.79/yr) averaged 4.2 times of those for coarse wood (2.5–3.5 cm in diameter). The turnover coefficients of forest floor mass (annual litterfall input/mean floor mass) were: 4.11/yr for flowers and fruits, 2.07/yr for leaves, and 1.17/yr for fine wood (≤2 cm in diameter), with resident time decreasing from fine woods (0.85 yr) to leaves (0.48 yr) and to flower and fruits (0.24 yr). Nutrient residence times in the forest floor mass were ranked as: Ca (1.0 yr) > P (0.92 yr) > Mg (0.64 yr) > N (0.36 yr) > K (0.31 yr). Our data suggest that rates of litter decomposition and nutrient release in the seasonal rain forest of Xishuangbanna are slower than those in typical lowland rain forests, but similar to those in tropical semideciduous forests.  相似文献

模拟冻融环境下亚高山森林凋落物分解速率及有机碳动态   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
森林凋落物分解是森林生态系统物质循环的重要环节,季节性冻融交替是影响凋落物分解的重要环境因素之一,但不同林型的凋落物对冻融响应的差异性很少被量化。为了解冻融环境对森林凋落物分解进程的影响,以川西亚高山森林地区阔叶林、针叶林和针阔混交林3种典型林型的凋落物为实验材料,从凋落物基质质量、冻融环境等影响凋落分解的因素着手,采用模拟冻融循环过程(-5-5℃),研究了冻融循环中3种林型凋落物分解速率和有机碳含量的动态变化。结果发现,3中典型林型凋落物经过不同冻融处理后,其质量损失、质量损失速率均存在显著差异(P<0.05)。混交林凋落物和针叶林凋落物的分解速率呈慢-快-慢的趋势,而阔叶林凋落物的分解速率逐渐减小。在冻融循环处理下,3种林型的凋落物碳绝对含量呈波动下降的趋势,说明微生物固定外源碳和凋落物释放碳间存在动态平衡。相同林型的凋落物在不同冻融处理下,有机碳释放有显著差异(P<0.05)。其中,冻融环境显著(P<0.05)促进了混交林凋落物和针叶林凋落物有机碳的释放,但是对阔叶林凋落物有机碳的释放没有起到促进作用。这表明全球气候变暖情景下,亚高山森林土壤冻融事件频发将加快凋落物的分解,但变化程度受到凋落物质量控制。  相似文献
