【目的】揭示日龄和交配对亚洲玉米螟Ostrinia furnacalis雄蛾内生殖器官的影响,以及亚洲玉米螟雄蛾的交配状态和性信息素诱捕之间的关系。【方法】采用行为学和生殖器解剖技术,研究不同日龄和交配状态亚洲玉米螟雄蛾内生殖器特征,并将其与田间性信息素诱捕雄蛾进行比较。【结果】除了精巢、输精管、储精囊、附腺、复射精管和单射精管外,亚洲玉米螟雄蛾内生殖系统还包含1对附腺囊,同时单射精管非角质化区分为5段(PS1-5),PS1又细分为5区(PS1Ⅰ-Ⅴ)。生殖器内含物可分为5级(0-4级),存在充满和未充满生殖器两种状态。1日龄雄蛾内生殖系统不同器官的内含物等级存在差异,但是日龄对雄蛾生殖系统内含物等级无明显影响。交配后0 h亚洲玉米螟雄蛾,除输精管、储精囊和附腺囊外,其余生殖器官内含物等级较未交配雄蛾的均发生显著变化。随着交配后时间的增加,雄蛾生殖器内含物等级逐渐恢复,各器官内含物等级恢复的速度存在差异,交配后60 h所有内含物等级均恢复到未交配状态。但是直到交配后228 h,交配雄蛾PS5内含物仍然表现出断裂等形态特征,和未交配雄蛾存在差异。性信息素引诱雄蛾中有60.9%的生殖系统表现出未交配雄蛾特征。【结论】利用PS5内含物的形态可以鉴别亚洲玉米螟雄蛾的交配状态,性信息素群集诱杀的亚洲玉米螟雄蛾大部分是未交配。本研究结果为亚洲玉米螟雄蛾交配状态的判定和蛾类害虫性信息素测报和防治的有效性提供了一定依据。  相似文献

Summary The distribution and relative density of peptide-containing nerves was studied in the rat in order to assess the progression of neuronal changes during the postnatal development of the male genital system from the prepubertal age to adulthood. Testis, caput and cauda epididymis, ductus deferens, seminal vescicles, prostate and penis from 8-, 20-, 38-, and 70-day-old rats were sectioned and were immunostained with antisera to the neuropeptides calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) and neuropeptide Y (NPY), and to a general neuronal marker, protein gene product 9.5 (PGP 9.5). The testicular parenchyma and caput epididymis did not show any immunoreactivity. Very scattered CGRP-containing nerves were present in 8-day-old rats; numerous VIP-, CGRP-, and NPY-peptide-containing nerves were observed in the cauda epididymis, ductus deferens, accessory glands and penis of 20-day-old rats. The number of nerves increased in 35-day-old rats while no changes were observed in more adult rats. A parallel increase was seen for the immunostain for PGP 9.5. These data suggest that peptide-containing nerves appear in the genital system after birth and reach a full development before the completion of puberty. Peptide-containing nerves were visible first in the interstitial area and then spread in the muscular coat of the ducts, glands and of the blood vessels. While CGRP- and NPY-containing nerves were distributed in the vicinity of the muscle cells, VIP-containing nerves were also observed in the subepithelial regions, suggesting a possible role of this neuropeptide in the control of epithelial functions.  相似文献

Extragonadal sperm reserves in male rats were measured in different regions of the genital tract before and subsequent to normal ejaculation. In sexually rested rats, the sperm count (million spermatozoa for the paired organs) in different regions was: distal vas, 18; proximal vas, 9.8; cauda epididymidis, 229; caput + corpus epididymidis, 154. Following mating, the sperm count was reduced in the proximal and distal vas deferens and in the cauda epididymidis. The reproductive tract of mated females was found to contain 29% (no copulatory plug) or 59% (with copulatory plug) of the estimated mean ejaculate, which was estimated from the difference between the sperm counts in the sexually rested rat and following ejaculation. It is concluded that in the rat the immediate source of spermatozoa for ejaculation is the cauda epididymidis, with a smaller contribution arising from the vas deferens.  相似文献

The fine structure of the seminal vesicle and reproductive accessory glands was investigated in Bittacidae of Mecoptera using light and transmission electron microscopy. The male reproductive system of Bittacidae mainly consists of a pair of testes, a pair of vasa deferentia, and an ejaculatory sac. The vas deferens is greatly expanded for its middle and medio-posterior parts to form a well-developed seminal vesicle. The seminal vesicle is composed of layers of developed muscles and a mono-layered epithelium surrounding the small central lumen. The epithelium is rich in rough endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria, and secretes vesicles and granules into the central lumen by merocrine mechanisms. A pair of elongate mesodermal accessory glands opens into the lateral side of the seminal vesicles. The accessory glands are similar to the seminal vesicle in structure, also consisting of layers of muscle fibres and a mono-layered elongated epithelium, the cells of which contain numerous cisterns of rough endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria, and a few Golgi complexes. The epithelial cells of accessory glands extrude secretions via apocrine and merocrine processes. The seminal vesicles mainly serve the function of secretion rather than temporarily storing spermatozoa. The sperm instead are temporarily stored in the epididymis, the greatly coiled distal portion of the vas deferens.  相似文献

雌雄同体贝类精子的储存和利用规律一直是国内外贝类生物学研究的难点之一,本文利用活体解剖、显微观察、组织切片和扫描电镜技术,综合研究了平疣桑椹石磺(Platevindex mortoni)的生殖系统及精子储存场所。结果显示,其生殖系统包括生殖器本部、雌性生殖部分和雄性生殖部分。生殖器本部由两性腺、两性输送管、蛋白腺、黏液腺、支囊组成;雌性生殖部分包括输卵管、受精囊、阴道,位于身体中后方体腔内;雄性生殖部分包括输精管、刺激器、阴茎、阴茎鞘和阴茎牵引肌,位于身体前端右侧体腔内;其阴茎有阴茎鞘,阴茎表面布满倒刺。平疣桑椹石磺阴茎为直线状,无雄性附属腺。未交配的性成熟个体支囊内充满细长精子,受精囊内无精子;而交配后充当雌性个体的支囊内均为细长的自体精子,受精囊内有大量活力较强的粗短精子,其支囊为自体精子的存储场所,而受精囊为异体精子的存储场所。其精子储运情况为:两性腺内精子成熟后暂存于支囊,交配时通过输精管运输至阴茎,由阴茎输送精子至对方的阴道,异体精子进入受精囊内存储待用。  相似文献

The male reproductive tract and accessory glands comprise a complex but interrelated system of tissues that are composed of many distinct cell types, all of which contribute to the ability of spermatozoa to carry out their ultimate function of fertilizing an oocyte. Spermatozoa undergo their final steps of maturation as they pass through the male excurrent duct, which includes efferent ducts, the epididymis and the vas deferens. The composition of the luminal environment in these organs is tightly regulated. Major fluid reabsorption occurs in efferent ducts and in the epididymis, and leads to a significant increase in sperm concentration. In the distal epididymis and vas deferens, fluid secretion controls the final fluidity of the luminal content. Therefore, the process of water movement in the excurrent duct is a crucial step for the establishment of male fertility. Aquaporins contribute to transepithelial water transport in many tissues, including the kidney, the brain, the eye and the respiratory tract. The present article reviews our current knowledge regarding the distribution and function of aquaporins in the male excurrent duct.  相似文献

大猿叶虫Colaphellus bowringi Baly是十字花科蔬菜的一种重要害虫,以成虫在土壤中滞育越冬和越夏。本研究通过解剖大猿叶虫非滞育成虫,观察描述了雌雄成虫内生殖系统的结构特点,并绘制了雌雄成虫内生殖系统模式图。对滞育初期、滞育期间、滞育解除后未取食和滞育解除后取食成虫解剖显示,滞育初期,雌雄成虫内生殖系统几乎与羽化初期成虫一致。滞育期间雄成虫的附腺和射精管亦不发达,滞育解除后未取食雄成虫的附腺膨大且粗于输精管,射精管略膨大,取食雄成虫的射精管呈不透明淡桔黄色。滞育期间雌成虫的卵巢小,略大于滞育初期卵巢,少数卵巢小管的基部可见具卵黄原沉淀的卵粒。滞育解除后未供食雌成虫卵巢明显膨大可见大量成形卵粒,部分卵粒可见卵黄原沉淀;取食雌成虫的卵巢膨大,可见大量成熟卵粒,侧输卵管和总输卵管中可见待产的卵。作者认为,大猿叶虫成虫在滞育期间能够缓慢发育,部分滞育前积累的代谢物质被用于滞育后发育,但只有经过取食,成虫才能正常交配和产卵。  相似文献

【目的】雄蚁是蚂蚁巢群的重要成员,主要参与种群的繁殖。本文对日本弓背蚁Camponotus japonicus雄蚁的生殖系统结构及其化学组成进行了研究,拟为进一步开展雄蚁的生殖行为研究提供基础信息。【方法】利用光学和扫描电镜观察了雄蚁的生殖系统结构,并利用GC-MS方法分析了其化学组成。【结果】(1)雄蚁生殖系统包括1对附腺、1对输精管和射精管3部分,睾丸退化消失;附腺最为发达,肾形,乳白色;输精管简单细长,与附腺基部1/3处相连。扫描电镜下发现附腺表面平坦,包裹有发达的网状肌肉组织。(2)利用GC-MS方法检测到13种化学物质,主要以醛类、烃类和酸类为主,分别占29.31%、21.87%和20.56%,还有一些醇类(12.71%)和酯类(15.05%);含量最高的3种成分分别为十八烯醛(15.86%)、11-十六烯醛(13.45%)和9,12,15-十八碳三烯酸-2,3-二羟基丙酯(11.78%)。【结论】雄蚁生殖系统主要由附腺、输精管和射精管三部分组成,其中附腺最为发达,输精管细长,睾丸退化消失;生殖系统中含有多种化学成分,但其功能还有待于进一步的研究。  相似文献

Ram semen was found to contain 20-hydroxyprostaglandin E1 and 20-hydroxyprostaglandin E2. The relative amounts of the two compounds were almost equal, although ram semen contained at least 10 times more prostaglandin E1 than prostaglandin E2. The accessory genital glands of the ram were analyzed for their capacity to metabolize [14C]arachidonic acid to prostaglandins. Biosynthesis of prostaglandins was only found in microsomes of the mucosa of the ampulla of vas deferens and in microsomes of the vesicular glands. Ram vesicular glands and the ampulla of vas deferens were also found to contain the two 20-hydroxylated E prostaglandins. Microsomes of ram vesicular glands and NADPH metabolized exogenous prostaglandin E2 to 20-hydroxyprostaglandin E2 albeit in low yields. Prostaglandin E2 appeared to be a better substrate than prostaglandin E1. Microsomes of human seminal vesicles and NADPH metabolized exogenous prostaglandin E2 to 19-hydroxyprostaglandin E2. The results show that 19- and 20-hydroxylation of prostaglandins occurs in human and ram seminal vesicles, respectively, and possibly also in the ampulla of vas deferens of the ram. The ram and human enzymes specifically hydroxylated the terminal and the penultimate carbon of prostaglandin E2, respectively.  相似文献

Seasonal variations in spermatozoa numbers and in sperm motility along the vas deferens in Crotalus durissus terrificus from southeastern Brazil were analyzed. Our data demonstrate storage and motility of the spermatozoa along the vas deferens throughout the year. This is characteristic of a postnuptial reproductive cycle, usually found in snakes living in temperate climates. We describe similarities in reproductive cycle patterns found in the tropical nonhibernator C. durissus terrificus and in hibernator snakes from temperate zones. Our results show that in C. durissus terrificus, a significant difference in spermatozoa counts occurs between winter and summer. Higher numbers of spermatozoa in summer and autumn, due to intense spermiogenesis, coincides with the mating season in autumn. These data indicate that after spermiogenesis in summer, the males combine the peak of sperm storage to the period females are attractive. Mating, however, is not linked to ovulation, and the sperm is stored in the females during winter until fertilization occurs in spring. In the males, after mating, spermatozoon counts low. In spring, they gradually increase, turning again the highest in summer and autumn. During spermiogenesis in the convoluted vas deferens, spermatozoa gain motility, enhancing their performance along their way towards the distal portion.  相似文献

Summary Besides the classical neurotransmitters acetylcholine and norepinephrine the genito-urinary tract contains also neuropeptides. The distribution of substance P- and VIP-containing nerve fibers have earlier been described. Also enkephalin-immunoreactive nerve fibers occur in the male and female genito-urinary organs of the cat. The nerves are more numerous in male than in female genital tract. The prostatic gland and vas deferens receive the largest supply. In the female genital tract the enkephalin-immuno-reactive nerve fibers are regularly seen in the smooth muscle layer of the cervix. Of special interest is the rich occurrence of the enkephalin nerve fibers among the nerve cell bodies in the para-urethral and cervical ganglia supporting the view that enkephalin may play a neuromodulating role.  相似文献

Copper wire was inserted into the vas deferens and its effect of the reproductive system and fertility performance of rats was investigated. The copper wire was 100% effective as a contraceptive for up to 4 months if placed correctly, and resulted in decapitation of most of the spermatozoa. No differences between the rats with an intravasal copper wire and the sham-operated controls were found for the weights of the gonads and accessory sex glands or for protein, RNA, DNA and fructose concentrations. The intravasal copper device appears to be promising for the development of a long-term method for male contraception.  相似文献

Sesarmid crab, Muradium tetragonum, considered a key detritus consumer plays a significant role in the nutrient cycling and energy flow in most of the mangrove environments. Morphological and ultrastructural organization of the Mtetragonum male reproductive system are characterized through transmission electron microscopic studies. Adult males (3.2–4.2 cm) with dark violet carapace and white-tipped cheliped were procured alongside the coastal areas of Tanjavur district, Tamil Nadu, India. The morphological analysis highlights the male gonads to be bilaterally symmetrical and anterolaterally located inside the cephalothorax. A pair of elongated testes lying attached to the hypodermis of the carapace leads to a long highly coiled vas deferens categorized into three distinct regions (Proximal vas deferens, Middle vas deferens and distal vas deferens) structurally and functionally with Posterior vas deferens receiving sac-like accessory glands. It gets followed by an ejaculatory duct and ends with the penile papillae at the coxae's base of the fifth peripod. Structural modifications were observed in the ultrastructure of vas deferens envisage (considering) its functional role in storing spermatophores, active absorption and assisting the secretory activity. Spermatophores, witnessed as spherical bodies are bounded by a dense double wall. Aflagellate, immotile and spherical spermatozoa that measuring 3.6 μm in diameter encompasses a complex acrosome cupped by a nucleus. Moreover, perforatorium and the extending nuclear arms with chromatin, as displayed in the experimental organism Mtetragonum, are in synergy with that of certain brachyurans as specified in the study. Hence, the current study assessing the morphology and ultrastructure parameters of the male gonads could be useful in understanding the physiology of sexual maturation, annual cyclic changes, tracing the phylogenetic relationship among species and enhancing the brood-stock management.  相似文献

Thirteen mammalian aquaporin (AQP) isoforms have been identified, and they have a unique tissue-specific pattern of expression. AQPs have been found in the reproductive system of both male and female humans, rats, and mice. However, tissue expression and cellular and subcellular localization of AQPs have been poorly investigated in the male reproductive system of birds. The localization of AQP subtypes (AQP1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, and 11) in the goose testis and vas deferens has been studied through immunohistochemistry and immunobloting. Interestingly, the testicular and deferential tissues were positive for AQP1, -5, and -7 but not the others. AQP1 immunoreactivity was detected in the capillary endothelial cells of testis and vas deferens. AQP5 was localized in the interstitial tissue of the testis, including Leydig cells, as well as in the basal cells of vas deferens. Double-labeling confocal microscopy revealed coexpression of AQP5 with capillary AQP1 in the testis. AQP7 was expressed in elongated spermatid and spermatozoa tails in the testis, as well as spermatozoa tails in the vas deferens. These results suggest that several subtypes of AQPs are involved in the regulation of water homeostasis in the goose male reproductive system. (J Histochem Cytochem 57:915–922, 2009)  相似文献

The male reproductive system of seven species of the family Bothriuridae are compared. These scorpions are Bothriurus flavidus Kraepelin, B. cordubensis Acosta, B. bonariensis (C. L. Koch), B. chacoensis Maury & Acosta, Brachistosternus ferrugineus (Thorell), Timogenes dorbignyi (Guérin-Méneville), T. elegans (Mello-Leitão) and Urophonius brachycentrus Pocock (Bothriuridae). Additional comparisons are made with the buthid Zabius fuscus (Thorell). Observations on the structures associated with the paraxial organs (testis, seminal vesicle and accessory glands) are given. Sperm obtained from the male reproductive tract and fresh spermatophores as well as from the female's genital atrium and seminal receptacles are examined. Accessory glands occur in six out of eight studied bothriurids and in the buthid Z. fuscus. In most species the distal portion of vas deferens has a developed ampulla. All structures vary in size and shape depending on species. Sperm packages were observed in all bothriurids. In contrast, there is no packaged spermatozoa in Z. fuscus. Each sperm package consists of many spermatozoa surrounded by a common membrane that breaks after the spermatophore capsule is everted into the female genital atrium, releasing the spermatozoa. One hour after insemination, the spermatozoa are found in the atrium and in the seminal receptacles of B. flavidus females, but after 24h spermatozoa are found only in the seminal receptacles. The functional significance of the accessory glands and the presence-absence of sperm packages are discussed.  相似文献

Males of the predatory stinkbug, Podisus nigrispinus (Dallas) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), accomplish long and multiple matings. We hypothesize that this behavior is due to time requirement for spermatozoa production and their transference to the females. Thus, this work investigated the effect of mating status of males and mating duration on spermatozoa transference to the females and the location of spermatozoa in the male reproductive tract during mating. On females, morphological alterations on female spermatheca and associated structures during a mating were investigated. Analyses of male reproductive tract showed presence of spermatozoa in the lumen of vas deferens was independent of mating status (ca. virgin, 0, 12 and 24 h after having a full mating), indicating continuous spermatogenesis which is supported by the absence of a seminal vesicle for spermatozoa storage. Female spermatheca had no changes associated with the duration of mating. However, females exhibited spermathecal elastic duct swelling by 30 min of mating duration. The success of males in filling the female spermatheca with spermatozoa depends on duration of mating. Thus, the results indicate that multiple mating is a requirement for reproductive success in the species by transference of spermatozoa and accessory substances stored in the female spermathecal duct. Likewise, the long mating is a male requirement to transfer materials in appropriate amount to the female but it is not dependent on spermatozoa alone.  相似文献
