A Gram-positive bacterium, designated M-GX18T, was isolated from the rhizosphere soil of mango (Guangxi Province, China). The isolate produced nematicidal volatile compounds with activities against the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita. The organism was motile, catalase- and oxidase-positive, spore-forming and rod shaped. The predominant menaquinone was MK-7 and the major cellular fatty acid profiles were iso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:0 and iso-C16:0. The DNA G+C content was 38.9%. A phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that this organism represented a new species of the genus Lysinibacillus. Strain M-GX18T exhibited high 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with its closest neighbors Lysinibacillus sphaericus (98.5%), Lysinibacillus fusiformis (98.1%) and Lysinibacillus xylanilyticus (98.6%). The physiological, biochemical and chemotaxonomic data, including DNA–DNA hybridization relatedness data, indicate that strain M-GX18T can be distinguished from all the related species of the genus Lysinibacillus. Therefore, on the basis of the polyphasic taxonomic data presented, a new species of the genus Lysinibacillus, Lysinibacillus mangiferahumi, with the type strain M-GX18T (=DSM 24076T = CCTCC AB 2010389T) is proposed.  相似文献

One bacterial strain 2RL3-2T was isolated from Chungkukjang, a traditional Korean fermented food made from soybeans, and determined to be a Gram-positive, aerobic, spore-forming rod. Growth of the novel strain was optimal at 30°C and pH 7.0. The 16S rRNA gene of strain 2RL3-2T showed the highest level of sequence similarity to Lysinibacillus sinduriensis BLB-1T (99.0%), Lysinibacillus massiliensis 4400831T (97.1%), Lysinibacillus xylanilyticus XDB9T (97.0%), and Lysinibacillus odysseyi 34hs-1T (96.8%). Phylogenetic analysis showed that strain 2RL3-2T formed a robust cluster with L. sinduriensis BLB-1T, L. massiliensis 4400831T, and L. odyssey 34hs-1T. The major fatty acids were anteiso-C15:0 (47.3%), iso-C16:0 (16.3%), and anteiso-C17:0 (11.3%), and the only menaquinone was MK-7. Diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, and phosphatidylethanolamine were the major polar lipids, along with an unknown phospholipid and two unknown lipids. The peptidoglycan type was A4α, with an interpeptide bridge of l-Lys-d-Asp. DNA-DNA hybridization values between strain 2RL3-2T and closely related Lysinibacillus species were below 43±4%. Therefore, based on phenotypic, chemotaxonomic, and phylogenetic characteristics, it was determined that strain 2RL3-2T represents a novel species of the genus Lysinibacillus, for which the name Lysinibacillus chungkukjangi sp. nov. is proposed. A Gram-negative, motile, rod-shaped, endospore-forming bacterial strain, designated as NCCP-36T, was isolated from the compost of fruit and vegetable wastes. The strain NCCP-36T grew within a temperature range of 10–45?C (optimum 28?C) and a pH range of 6.5–8.5 (optimum 7.0), and its cells tolerated <50 mM boron (optimum growth without boron) and 0–5 % NaCl (w/v) in tryptic soya broth medium. Based on comparative analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequence, strain NCCP-36T showed the highest similarity to Lysinibacillus sinduriensis BLB-1T (97.52 %) and L. xylanilyticus XDB9T (96.96 %), and <97 % similarity with other closely related taxa. However, DNA–DNA relatedness between strain NCCP-36T and the closely related type strains of genus Lysinibacillus was ≤37 %. Phylogenetic and chemotaxonomic analyses [major polar lipids: diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, and phospholipids; predominant menaquinone: MK-7; major cellular fatty acids: iso-C15:0, antieso-C15:0, and iso-C16:0; DNA G+C contents: 37 mol %; Lys-Asp (type A4α) in cell-wall peptidoglycans as diagnostic amino acids] also support the affiliation of strain NCCP-36T to genus Lysinibacillus. Based upon DNA–DNA relatedness as well as distinctive chemotaxonomic, phylogenetic, and genotypic data, we conclude that strain NCCP-36T belongs to a novel species of genus Lysinibacillus, for which the name Lysinibacillus composti sp. nov. is proposed. Strain DY59T, a Gram-positive non-motile bacterium, was isolated from soil in South Korea, and was characterized to determine its taxonomic position. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain DY59T revealed that the strain DY59T belonged to the family Deinococcaceae in the class Deinococci. The highest degree of sequence similarities of strain DY59T were found with Deinococcus radiopugnans KACC 11999T (99.0%), Deinococcus marmoris KACC 12218T (97.9%), Deinococcus saxicola KACC 12240T (97.0%), Deinococcus aerolatus KACC 12745T (96.2%), and Deinococcus frigens KACC 12220T (96.1%). Chemotaxonomic data revealed that the predominant fatty acids were iso-C15:0 (19.0%), C16:1 ω7c (17.7%), C15:1 ω6c (12.6%), iso-C17:0 (10.3%), and iso-C17:1 ω9c (10.3%). A complex polar lipid profile consisted of a major unknown phosphoglycolipid. The predominant respiratory quinone is MK-8. The cell wall peptidoglycan contained D-alanine, L-glutamic acid, glycine, and L-ornithine (di-amino acid). The novel strain showed resistance to gamma radiation, with a D10 value (i.e. the dose required to reduce the bacterial population by 10-fold) in excess of 5 kGy. Based on the phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic, and phenotypic data, strain DY59T (=KCTC 33033T =JCM 18581T) should be classified as a type strain of a novel species, for which the name Deinococcus swuensis sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献

A taxonomic study was carried out on strain 22II-S11-z7T, which was isolated from the surface seawater of the Atlantic Ocean. The bacterium was found to be Gram-negative, oxidase negative and catalase positive, long-rod shaped, and gliding. Growth was observed at salinities of 1–5 % and at temperatures of 10–41 °C. The isolate was capable of hydrolysing gelatin and Tween 80 and able to reduce nitrate to nitrite, but unable to degrade aesculin. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain 22II-S11-z7T belongs to the genus Aquimarina, with highest sequence similarity to Aquimarina megaterium XH134T (98.31 %), followed by Aquimarina macrocephali JAMB N27T (96.59 %); other species of the genus Aquimarina shared 93.63–96.08 % sequence similarity. The ANI value between strain 22II-S11-z7T and A. megaterium XH134T was found to be 91.86–91.81 %. The DNA–DNA hybridization estimated value between strain 22II-S11-z7T and A. megaterium XH134T was 47.7 ± 2.6 %. The principal fatty acids were identified as Summed Feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c/ω6c, as defined by the MIDI system; 8.1 %), SummedFeature 9 (iso-C17:1 ω7c/C16:110-methyl; 6.8 %), iso-C15:0 G (11.3 %), iso-C15:0 (24.9 %), iso-C16:0 (5.7 %), C16:0 (5.2 %), iso-C15:0 3OH (6.4 %) and iso-C17:0 3OH (21.5 %). The G+C content of the chromosomal DNA was determined to be 32.99 mol %. The respiratory quinone was determined to be MK-6 (100 %). Phosphatidylethanolamine, two unidentified aminolipids, five unidentified phospholipids and two unidentified lipids were found to be present. The combined genotypic and phenotypic data show that strain 22II-S11-z7T represents a novel species within the genus Aquimarina, for which the name Aquimarina atlantica sp. nov. is proposed, with the type strain 22II-S11-z7T (=MCCC 1A09239T = KCTC 42003T).  相似文献

A Gram-stain-negative, non-motile, non-spore-forming, rod-shaped, aerobic bacterium, designated 15J9-8T, was isolated from soil on Jeju Island, Republic of Korea. The isolate was able to grow between 10 and 30°C, pH 6.5–8.5, and in presence of 0–1% (w/v) NaCl. The results of comparative 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that strain 15J9-8T represented a member of the family Cytophagaceae, phylum Bacteroidetes, and was most closely related to Spirosoma aerophilum 5516J-17T (96.1% similarity), Spirosoma pulveris JSH5-14T (95.6%), and Spirosoma linguale DSM 74T (95.2%). The G + C content of the genomic DNA of the isolate was 47.0 mol%. Strain 15J9-8T contained summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c/C16:1 ω6c), C16:1 ω5c, and iso-C15:0 as the major fatty acids, phosphatidylethanolamine and an unidentified aminophospholipid as the main polar lipids, and menaquinone MK-7 as the predominant respiratory quinone. On the basis of its phenotypic and genotypic properties, and phylogenetic distinctiveness, strain 15J9-8T should be classified as a representative of a novel species of the genus Spirosoma, for which the name Spirosoma migulaei sp. nov. is proposed. A novel bacterial strain designated P3-1T was isolated from the intestinal tract contents of Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) in Zhangpu, Fujian province, China. The isolate was found to be Gram-negative, long rod shaped, oxidase- and catalase- positive. Growth was observed at 1–7 % sea salt (w/v, optimum, 3 %), at pH 7.0–9.0 (optimum, pH 7.0) and at 10–37 °C (optimum, 28 °C). The isolate was capable of hydrolysing gelatin, casein, starch and DNA but unable to degrade Tween 20, 40, 80 and cellulose. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain P3-1T belongs to the genus Aquimarina, with highest sequence similarity to Aquimarina gracilis PSC32T (96.2 %), followed by Aquimarina intermedia KMM 6258T (96.1 %), Aquimarina spongiae A6T (95.9 %) and Aquimarina muelleri KMM 6020T (95.8 %). The principal cellular fatty acids were identified as iso-C15:0, iso-C17:0 3OH, C16:1 ω7c/ω6c, iso-C15:1 G, iso-C15:0 3OH, iso-C17:1 ω9c/C16:0 10-methyl and C16:0. The G+C content of the chromosomal DNA was determined to be 33.3 mol%. The respiratory quinone was determined to be MK-6 (100 %). The combined genotypic and phenotypic data show that strain P3-1T represents a novel species within the genus Aquimarina, for which the name Aquimarina penaei sp. nov. is proposed, with the type strain P3-1T (=MCCC 1A09871T = LMG 27943T).  相似文献

A Bacillus-like isolate, strain FJAT-13831T, isolated from the No. 1 pit soil of Emperor Qin’s Terra-cotta Warriors in Xi’an City, China, was studied to determine its taxonomic status. Dominant fatty acids of this organism included iso-C15:0, iso-C17:0, C16:0, iso-C13:0, anteiso-C15:0, and iso-C17:1ω5c. Comparative 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis confirmed the affiliation of this isolate to the genus Bacillus and indicated that it was closely related to Bacillus pseudomycoides DSM 12442T (99.72 % similarity). A phylogenetic analysis of the gyrB gene sequence similarities exhibited independent clustering of the isolate FJAT-13831T and showed 93.8 % (<95 %) sequence similarity with its closest phylogenetic neighbour B. pseudomycoides DSM 12442T. Separate standing of the strain FJAT-13831T was supported by a whole genome-based phylogenetic analysis with an average nucleotide identity value of 91.47 (<95 %) between isolate FJAT-13831T and B. pseudomycoides DSM 12442T and was consistent with the results of DNA–DNA hybridization (69.1 % relatedness). These findings support the conclusion that the isolate FJAT-13831T represents a novel species, for which the name Bacillus bingmayongensis sp. nov. is proposed. A red–pink, Gram-negative, rod-shaped, non-motile, non-spore-forming bacterium, designated strain DK6-37 was isolated from the permafrost region of Qilian Mountains in northwest of China. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing indicated that this isolate represents a novel member of the genus Hymenobacter, with low sequence similarities (<97 %) to recognized Hymenobacter species. Optimum growth was observed at 28 °C, pH 7.0 and 0 % NaCl. The strain was found to contain MK-7 as the predominant menaquinone. The polar lipids were identified as phosphatidylethanolanmine, two unknown aminophospholipids, one unknown aminolipid and three unknown polar lipids. The major fatty acids were identified as summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c/C16:1 ω6c as defined by MIDI), summed feature 4 (anteiso-C17:1 B/iso-C17:1 I), C16:1 ω5c, iso-C17:0 3-OH, iso-C15:0 and C18:0. The DNA G + C content was determined to be 67.4 mol %. On the basis of the polyphasic evidence presented, it is proposed that strain DK6-37 represents a novel species of the genus Hymenobacter, for which the name Hymenobacter qilianensis sp. nov. is proposed. Strain OR362-8T was isolated from a biological soil crust sample collected from the southwestern arid lands of the United States of America, using BG11-PGY medium. Cells of OR362-8T were found to be rod shaped; occur singly, as pairs and in groups; non-motile; positive for catalase, oxidase, phosphatase and gelatinase; hydrolyze starch; contain iso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:0, iso-C15:1G, C16:1ω5c and summed feature 3 (C16:1(ω7c)/iso-C15:0 2OH as defined by the MIDI system) as the major fatty acids; and MK-7 as the sole respiratory quinone. A BLAST sequence similarity search using 16S rRNA gene sequence of OR362-8T identified Hymenobacter as the nearest genus with a similarity of 90.4–96.9 %. The phylogenetic analyses based on the phenetic methods UPGMA, NJ, ME and DNA parsimony resulted in the clustering of OR362-8T with Clade 1 Hymenobacter species represented by Hymenobacter glaciei, Hymenobacter antarcticus, Hymenobacter flocculans, Hymenobacter metalli and Hymenobacter soli with the closest being the Hymenobacter glaciei (96.9 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity). Besides the strong phylogentic affiliation, OR362-8T also exhibited significant phenotypic and chemotaxonomic differences with the members of Clade 1 Hymenobacter spp. More importantly, the DNA G+C content (mol%) of OR362-8T is very high (70 %) compared to the nearest species identified by phylogenetic analysis. Based on the phylogenetic, phenotypic and chemotaxonomic characteristics, OR362-8T was assigned to a novel species for which we propose here the name Hymenobacter arizonensis sp. nov., with OR362-8T (=ATCC BAA 1266T = DSM 17860T = JCM 13504T) as the type strain.  相似文献

A new bacterial strain, designated as FF42T, was isolated from feces of domestic pigs—collected from Suwon, Korea—and was characterized to determine its taxonomic position. Strain FF42T was observed to be Gram negative, aerobic, non-spore forming, motile, and rod-shaped cells. Based on the phylogenetic and 16S rRNA sequence analyses, it was revealed that strain FF42T belonged to the genus Comamonas. The highest degree of sequence similarities was determined to be with Comamonas zonglianii BF-3T (96.3 %), Comamonas composti CC-YY287T (96.1 %), and Comamonas nitrativorans 23310T (95.9 %), while showing less than 95.6 % identity with the remaining Comamonas species. Growth of strain FF42T occurred between 25 and 40 °C (optimum, 28 °C) and at pH of 5-9 (optimum, pH 6.0). It grew in the presence of 0–3 % (w/v) NaCl while minimally tolerating at 3 % (w/v) NaCl. Biochemical and physiological tests revealed phenotypic differentiation of strain FF42T to other members of the genus Comamonas. The predominant quinone is ubiquinone (Q-8). The major cellular fatty acids were C10:0 3OH, C16:0, summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c/C16:1 ω6c), and summed feature 8 (C18:1 ω6c/C18:1 ω7c), all of which have previously been reported to occur in the species of the genus Comamonas. The G+C molar content for strain FF42T is 60.2 mol %. Based on phylogenetic and phenotypic analyses, strain FF42T (=KEMC 1002-058T=JCM 17561T) is clearly referred to be a novel species for the genus Comamonas, for which the name Comamonas faecalis sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献

A Gram-positive, catalase- and oxidase-positive, strictly aerobic, endospore-forming rod bacterium, designated K3514T, was isolated from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum. The strain was able to grow at temperatures of 8–40°C, pH 5.0–10.0 and NaCl concentrations of 0–7%. The predominant quinones (>30%) of this strain were MK-7(H2) and MK-7. Phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that strain K3514T was affiliated to the genus Lysinibacillus, with its closest relatives being Lysinibacillus mangiferihumi (98.3% sequence similarity), Lysinibacillus sphaericus (97.9% sequence similarity), Lysinibacillus fusiformis (97.4% sequence similarity), and Lysinibacillus xylanilyticus (97.3% sequence similarity). However, low levels of DNA-DNA relatedness values suggested that the isolate was distinct from the other closest Lysinibacillus species. Additionally, based on analysis of morphological, physiological, and biochemical characteristics, the isolate could be differentiated from the closest known relatives. Therefore, based on polyphasic taxonomic data, the novel isolate likely represents a novel species, for which the name Lysinibacillus tabacifolii sp. nov. and the type strain K3514T (=KCTC 33042T =CCTCC AB 2012050T) are proposed.  相似文献

A Gram-negative, aerobic, rod-shaped, motile, non-spore-forming bacterial strain, designated 13-QT, was isolated from seaside soil under the stacks of the red algae in Hainan province in China. Identification was carried out on the basis of polyphasic taxonomy. Phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain 13-QT belonged to the genus Pedobacter, and the highest similarity was 94.4 % with Pedobacter terricola KCTC 12876T. Strain 13-QT was able to grow at 10–40 °C, in pH 5.0–10.0, in the presence of 0–2.0 % NaCl. The major fatty acids were iso-C15:0 (40.4 %), summed feature 3 (comprising iso-C15:0 2-OH and/or C16:1 ω7c) (18.9 %) and iso-C17:0 3-OH (18.4 %). The predominant menaquinone was MK-7. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was 42.7 mol%. Strain 13-QT could be distinguished from the nearest phylogenetic neighbors by various chemotaxonomic and phenotypic properties. The results of the polyphasic analyses suggested that strain 13-QT should be considered to represent a novel species of the genus Pedobacter, for which the name Pedobacter hainanensis sp. nov. is proposed. Strain HME6451T was isolated from Lake Soyang in Korea. Phylogenetic tree based on 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that strain HME6451T formed a lineage within the genus Pedobacter. The strain HME6451T was closely related to Pedobacter daechungensis (95.4% sequence similarity), Pedobacter lentus (94.4%), and Pedobacter glucosidilyticus (93.8%). And strain HME6451T was a Gram-staining-negative, short rod-shaped, strictly aerobic bacterium. The major fatty acids were iso-C15:0 (41.2%), summed feature 3 (comprising C16:1 ω7c and/or C16:1 ω6c; 23.1%), and iso-C17:0-3OH (10.1%). The polar lipids of HME6451T were consisted of one phosphatidylethanolamine, one unidentified aminolipid, one unidentified phospholipid and four unidentified polar lipids. The DNA G+C content was 36.0 mol%. On the basis of the evidence presented in this study, strain HME6451T represent a novel species of the genus Pedobacter, for which the name Pedobacter soyangensis sp. nov., is proposed the type strain HME6451T (=KCTC 23467T =CECT 7865T).  相似文献

A Gram stain-negative, strictly aerobic, rod-shaped, non-motile and deep-yellow-coloured bacterial strain, designated ZFJR-3T, was isolated from the stem of Geum aleppicum Jacq. collected from Taibai Mountain in Shaanxi Province, north-west China, and characterized by using a polyphasic approach. The novel isolate grew optimally at 25–28 °C and in the absence of NaCl. Flexirubin-type pigments were produced. The predominant respiratory quinone was ubiquinone-8 (Q-8) and the major cellular fatty acids were iso-C15:0 (29.2 %), iso-C16:0 (18.5 %), summed feature 9 (comprising iso-C17:1 ω9c and/or C16:0 10-methyl; 8.8 %), C16:1 ω7c alcohol (8.8 %), iso-C11:0 3-OH (6.9 %) and iso-C11:0 (6.8 %). The DNA G+C content was 66.1 mol %. The only polyamine was spermidine and the major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylglycerol. Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain ZFJR-3T belongs to the genus Pseudoxanthomonas and was most closely related to Pseudoxanthomonas yeongjuensis KCTC 22757T (16S rRNA gene sequence similarity, 99.0 %) and Pseudoxanthomonas sacheonensis KCTC 22080T (98.0 %). The levels of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with respect to other Pseudoxanthomonas species with validly published names were less than 96.5 %. DNA–DNA relatedness values for strain ZFJR-3T with respect to its closely related neighbours P. yeongjuensis KCTC 22757T and P. sacheonensis KCTC 22080T were 48.7 and 36.3 %, respectively. Based on the phenotypic, phylogenetic and genotypic data, strain ZFJR-3T is considered to represent a novel species of the genus Pseudoxanthomonas, for which the name Pseudoxanthomonas gei sp. nov. is proposed. A novel aerobic bacterium, designated strain LAM9153T, was isolated from a saline soil sample collected from Lingxian County, Shandong Province, China. Cells of strain LAM9153T were observed to be Gram-stain negative, non-motile, non-spore-forming and rod-shaped. The new isolate grew optimally at 30–35 °C, pH 7.0 and 0.5% of NaCl concentration (w/v). According to the phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence, strain LAM9153T shares high similarity with Chitinophaga terrae Gsoil 238T (96.9%) and Chitinophaga niabensis JS 13-10T (95.9%), forming a subcluster with C. terrae Gsoil 238T, Chitinophaga cymbidii R156-2T, C. niabensis JS 13-10T and Chitinophaga soli Gsoil 219T in the phylogenetic tree. The major cellular fatty acids (> 10%) were identified as iso-C15:0, iso-C17:0 3-OH and summed features 3 (C16:1 ω6c and/or C16:1 ω7c). The predominant respiratory quinone was identified as menaquinone MK-7. The polar lipids consisted of phosphatidylethanolamine, aminophospholipid, three unidentified aminolipids and five unidentified lipids. The genomic DNA G+C content was determined to be 53.2 ± 1.6 mol%. On the basis of phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic and phenotypic data, strain LAM9153T is concluded to represent a novel species of the genus Chitinophaga, for which the name Chitinophaga salinisoli sp. nov. is proposed. A Gram-negative, aerobic, non-flagellated, non-gliding, rod-shaped bacterial strain, designated WR-R1YT, was isolated from soil at a field of reeds in South Korea. Strain WR-R1YT grew optimally at 30 °C, at pH 7.0–7.5 and in the absence of NaCl. Neighbour-joining phylogenetic tree based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain WR-R1YT fell within the clade comprising Mucilaginibacter species, coherently clustering with the type strain of Mucilaginibacter composti, with which it exhibited the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity value of 97.6 %. Sequence similarities to the type strains of the other Mucilaginibacter species and the other species used in the phylogenetic analysis were 93.1–96.9 % and <91.1 %, respectively. Strain WR-R1YT contained MK-7 as the predominant menaquinone and iso-C15:0, summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω6c and/or C16:1 ω7c), C16:0 and iso-C17:0 3-OH as the major fatty acids. The major polar lipids were phosphatidylethanolamine and one unidentified aminophospholipid. The DNA G+C content of strain WR-R1YT was 43.1 mol% and its mean DNA–DNA relatedness value with M. composti KACC 14956T was 17 %. The differential phenotypic properties, together with the phylogenetic and genetic distinctiveness, revealed that strain WR-R1YT is separate from other Mucilaginibacter species. On the basis of the data presented, strain WR-R1YT represents a novel species of the genus Mucilaginibacter, for which the name Mucilaginibacter calamicampi sp. nov. is proposed. A Gram-stain-negative and orangish yellow-pigmented bacterial strain, designated PR1014KT, was isolated from an automobile evaporator core collected in Korea. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain PR1014KT was related with the members of the genus Spirosoma (94.7–90.2%) and closely related with Spirosoma lacussanchae CPCC 100624T (94.7%), Spirosoma knui 15J8-12T (94.3%), and Spirosoma soli MIMBbqt12T (93.3%). The strain grew at 15–40°C (optimum, 25°C), pH 6.5–7.0 (optimum, 6.5) and 0–1% (w/v) NaCl (optimum, 0%). The predominant fatty acids were summed feature 3 (C16:1 ω7c and/or C16:1 ω6c), C16:0, iso-C15:0, C16:1 ω5c, and iso-C17:0 3-OH. The major menaquinone was MK-7. The polar lipid profile of the strain indicated that the presence of one phosphatidylethanolamine, one unidentified aminolipid, two unidentified aminophospholipids, and three unidentified lipids. The DNA G+C content of the strain was 47.4 mol%. On the basis of the phenotypic, genotypic and chemotaxonomic characteristics, strain PR1014KT represents a novel species in the genus Spirosoma, for which the name Spirosoma metallicus sp. nov. (=KACC 17940T =NBRC 110792T) is proposed.  相似文献
