Three mono-nuclear copper(II) complexes [Cu(tepza)X]ClO4 (X = Cl, 1; X = NCS, 2; X = dca, 3) and two dinuclear bridging complexes [Cu2(tepza)2(μ-C4O4)](ClO4)2·H2O(4) and [Cu2(tepza)2(μ-C5O5)](ClO4)2(5) where tepza = tris[2-ethyl(1-pyrazolyl)]amine, dca = dicyanamide, C4O42− = 3,4-dihydroxycyclobut-3-ene-1,2-dionate (squarate dianion) and C5O52− = 4,5-dihydroxycyclopent-4-ene-1,2,3-trionate (croconate dianion) were synthesized and structurally characterized by IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy as well as by single X-ray crystallography. In the solid state, the geometry of copper(II) centers in these complexes are as follows: close to SP in 2, distorted TBP in 3, predominant SP in 4, and distorted octahedral in 5, whereas in solution distorted SP geometry was generally found. The squarato and the croconato dianions in complexes 4 and 5 are bridging the two copper(II) centers in cis-bis-monodentate and bis-bidentate bonding modes, respectively. Magnetic susceptibility measurements at variable temperatures (2-300 K) reveal the weak antiferromagnetic coupling in the two bridging dinuclear complexes 4 (= −24.9 cm−1) and 5 (= −3.1 cm−1).  相似文献

Two nitrogen and sulfur containing ligands, 1-methyl-4-((4-methylimidazol-5-yl)methylthio)benzene (NS-mim) (1) and 1-methyl-4-(2-pyridylmethylthio)benzene (NS-mpy) (2) were synthesized and a series of their Cu(II) complexes, 3-10, prepared. The imidazole-containing complexes (3-6) have the form [Cu(NS-mim)2(solvent)2](X)2 where X = ClO4, BF4and [Cu(NS-mim)2(Y)2] where Y = Cl or Br and the pyridine-containing complexes (7-10) have the form [Cu(NS-mpy)2]X2 (where X = ClO4, BF4) and [Cu2(NS-mpy)2Y4] (where Y = Cl or Br). These complexes were characterized by a combination of elemental analysis, FAB-MS and electrochemistry. The X-ray structure of the imidazole-containing [Cu(NS-mim)2(DMF)2](ClO4)2 (3) was determined and it showed the copper(II) coordinated only by the nitrogen donors while the sulfurs remain uncoordinated. In comparison, the X-ray structure of the pyridine-containing [Cu2(NS-mpy)2(Cl)4] (9) shows a dinuclear copper(II) complex with the nitrogens and the sulfurs coordinated along with a terminal chloride and two μ-chloro atoms bridging the coppers. Cyclic voltammetry studies indicated that the complexes undergo quasi-reversible one-electron reductions in acetonitrile at potentials between 0.31 and 0.51 V versus SCE. The complexes were found to be active for the oxidation of di-tert-butyl catechol (DTBC) with the rate dependent on the ligand and the counterion present.  相似文献

A novel series of copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(tren)(mpda)](ClO4)2 · 1/2H2O (1), [Cu2(tren)2(mpda)](ClO4)4 · 2H2O (2), and [Cu2(tren)2(ppda)](ClO4)4 · 2H2O (3) containing the tetradentate tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (tren) terminal ligand and the potentially bridging 1,n-phenylenediamine [n = 3 (mpda) and 4 (ppda)] ligand have been prepared and spectroscopically characterized. X-ray diffraction on single crystals of 1 and 3 show the presence of mono- (1) and dinuclear (3) copper(II) units where the mpda (1) and ppda (3) ligands adopt terminal monodentate (1) and bridging bis(monodentate) (3) coordination modes toward [Cu(tren)]2+ cations with an overall non-planar, orthogonal disposition of the phenylene group and the N-Cu-N threefold axis of the trigonal bipyramid of each copper(II) ion [values of the Cu-N-C-C torsion angle (?) in the range of 50.8(3)-79.2(2) (1) and 80.9(2)-86.5(2)° (3)]. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements on the dinuclear complexes 2 and 3 show the occurrence of moderate ferromagnetic (J = +8.3 cm−1, 2) and strong antiferromagnetic (J = −51.4 cm−1, 3) couplings between the two copper(II) ions across the meta- and para-phenylenediamine bridges, leading to S = 1 (2) and S = 0 (3) ground spin states [H = −JS1 · S2 with S1 = S2 = SCu = 1/2]. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations on the triplet (2) and broken-symmetry (BS) singlet (3) ground spin states, support the occurrence of a spin polarization mechanism for the propagation of the exchange interaction through the predominantly π-type orbital pathway of the 1,n-phenylenediamine bridge. Finally, a new magneto-structural correlation between the magnitude of the magnetic coupling (J) and the Cu-N-C-C torsion angle (?) has been found which reveals the role of σ- versus π-type orbital pathways in the modulation of the magnetic coupling for m- and p-phenylenediamine-bridged dicopper(II) complexes.  相似文献

A new series of dinuclear 2,5-pyrazine dicarboxylato-bridged copper(II) complexes were synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic techniques. The complexes have the general structural formula [Cu2(L)2(μ-pyzdc)](ClO4)2·nH2O where L = TPA, n = 2 (1); L = pmedien, n = 2 (2); L = aepn, n = 3 (3); L = dpt, n = 2 (4); L = Medpt, n = 0 (5); L = dien, n = 0 (6) and L = MeDPA, n = 2 (7) with TPA = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, pmdien = N,N,N′,N′′,N′′-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, aepn = N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-diaminopropane, dpt = dipropylene-triamine, Medpt = 3,3′-diamino-N-methyldipropylamine, dien = diethylenetriamine, MeDPA = N,N-di(2-pyridylmethyl)methylamine. In these complexes, the bridging nature of the 2,5-pyrazine dicarboxylato ligand (pyzdc) was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The structure of the TPA complex 1 consists of μ-pyzdc bridging two Cu(II) centers in a bis(monodentate) bonding fashion through a single oxygen atom supplied by each carboxylate group of the bridged pyzdc in a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry achieved by the four nitrogen atoms from the TPA ligand. In the complexes 2-5 derived from tridentate amines, the bridged pyzdc acts as a bis(bidentate) ligand in a distorted square pyramidal geometry achieved by one nitrogen and one carboxylate-oxygen of pyzdc, and by the three N-atoms of the amine coligands. The intradimer Cu?Cu distances in the complexes 2-5 are in the range 6.97-7.45 ? and in it is 10.96 ? in 1. The corresponding intermolecular distances are even shorter (5.34-7.99 ?). The susceptibility measurements at variable temperatures over the 5-300 K range reveal weak antiferromagnetic coupling with J values ranging from −0.61 to −4.78 cm−1.  相似文献

Self-assembly of flexible 1,3-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)propane (btp), inorganic Cu(II) salt and rigid benzene-based carboxylate coligand generates four complexes, {[Cu(btp)2(CH3OH)(H2O)]·H2O·2ClO4}n (1), {[Cu(btp)(Hbtc)2]·0.5H2O}n (2), [Cu(btp)2(H3btea)2]n (3), and [Cu(btp)(nb)2] (4) (H3btc = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid, H4btea = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid, Hnb = p-nitrobenzoic acid), which are fully structural characterized by single-crystal X-ray crystallography, elemental analysis, IR, and TG-DTA techniques. Structural determinations reveal that the polymeric two-dimensional (2D) Cu-btp grid-like layer for 1, 1D linear single- and double-stranded chains for 2 and 3, as well as the discrete binuclear structure for 4, are jointly directed by the coordination polyhedrons of the Cu(II) ion and the exo-bidentate bridging btp core ligand with various conformations. The theoretical calculations suggest that the trans-trans btp is the most stable conformation, and the metal binding site is collectively determined by the electron density of N donors and the spatial orientation of the btp ligand. Unexpectedly, the polycarboxylate anions in 1-4 can only act as terminal coligands not popular bridging connectors. The thermal stability of the resulting complexes is also compared.  相似文献

The reactions of metal(II) chlorides and bromides with 8-methylquinoline (8-mequin) in neutral and acidic solutions were investigated. The reaction with ZnCl2, ZnBr2, CoCl2, CoBr2, CuCl2 or CuBr2 with the appropriate HX in water or aqueous ethanol gave complexes of the formula (8-mequin)2MX4 (1, M = Cu, X = Cl; 2, M = Cu, X = Br; 3, M = Co, X = Cl; 4, M = Co, X = Br) or (8-mequin)2ZnX4·nH2O (5, X = Cl, n = 0; 6, X = Br, n = 0; 7, X = Cl, n = 1; 8, X = Br, n = 1). Crystals of 1, 2 and 4-8 suitable for single crystal X-ray diffraction were obtained and the structures reported. Compounds 1 and 2 crystallize in the monoclinic space group C2/c, while 4-8 crystallize in the triclinic space group, . Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility data indicate very weak interactions for the copper compounds 1 and 2, while the magnetic behavior of 3 and 4 is dominated by single ion anisotropy, with weaker antiferromagnetic interactions.  相似文献

One monomeric neutral Cu(II) complex [(pmtpm)CuCl2] (1) is reported by Lindoy and Livingstone [8]. Two new complexes namely, μ-Cl bridged binuclear Cu(II) complex [{(pmtpm)Cu(Cl)}2 μ-Cl](ClO4) (2) and a bis μ-Cl bridged binuclear Cu(II) complex [{(pmtpm)Cu}2(μ-Cl)2](ClO4)2 (3) derived from a tridentate Schiff base ligand, 2-pyridyl-N-(2′-methylthiophenyl)methyleneimine (pmtpm) were synthesized and characterized by various spectroscopic methods and by X-ray crystallography. (N2S)CuCl2 chromophore(s) of distorted square pyramidal coordination geometries around Cu(II) ion(s) have been observed for all the complexes 1-3. The equatorial sites of the square plane comprise two N and a thioether S donor atoms of the pmtpm ligand as well as one Cl ion (terminal in 1 and 2, and bridging in 3) while the remaining axial site is occupied by a terminal Cl ion (for 1) or a bridging Cl ion (for 2 and 3). The equatorial Cu-Cl distances are much shorter [1: 2.2511(4) Å, 2: 2.2307(12) Å, 3: 2.2513(12) Å] than the axial Cu-Cl distances [1: 2.4394(4) Å, 2: 2.5597(9) Å, 3: 2.7037(12) Å]. The correlation of an axial Cu-Cl bond elongation with a lower g|| value in the solid state EPR spectrum and a blue shifted ligand field transition in the solid and solution phase absorption spectrum has been observed.  相似文献

Using the principle of crystal engineering, six metal-organic coordination polymers, [Cd(bdc)(3-pytpy)]n · 2nH2O (1), [Cd(bdc)0.5(3-pytpy)]n · n(ClO4) (2), Cd(ndc)0.5(3-pytpy)]n · n(ClO4) (3), [Zn(ndc)(3-pytpy)]n (4), [Cd(bqdc)(3-pytpy)]n (5), and [Zn(pam)(3-pytpy)]n · 2nH2O (6) (H2bdc = benzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid, H2ndc = naphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, H2bqdc = 2,2′-biquinoline-4,4′-dicarboxylic acid, H2pam = pamoic acid), were synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Compounds 1-6 crystallize in the presence of organic-acid linkers as well as multi-functional N-donor ligand 4′-(3-pyridyl)-2,2′:6′,2′′-terpyridine (3-pytpy). In complexes 1, 4, 5, and 6, the dicarboxylate as bridging ligand connects metal atoms to form the main body of 1D zigzag chains for 1 and 4, nearly linear chain for 5 and helical chain for 6, while 3-pytpy as tridentate chelating ligand is just like lateral arm grafting on both sides of these chains. In complexes 2 and 3, both the dicarboxylate and 3-pytpy as bridging ligands connect metal atoms into 2D polymeric structure for 2 and 1D chain of alternating loops and rods for 3. The weak interactions such as hydrogen bonding and π···π stacking were investigated on the formation of superamolecular structures and the influence of organic acid on the formation of the final structures was discussed. In addition, the photoluminescent properties of 1-6 were also determined.  相似文献

Reaction of [Cu2L](ClO4)4 with CH3CN in acetonitrile, and Him in DMF gave cyanide and imidazolate bridged macrocyclic dinuclear copper (II) complexes with the formula [Cu2L(CN)](ClO4)3 (1) and [Cu2L(im)](ClO4)2 · 0.7Br · 0.3Cl, (2), respectively (L = N[(CH2)2NHCH2(C6H4-p)CH2NH(CH2)2]3N). In 2, each Cu(II) atom is coordinated with four macrocyclic nitrogen atoms and one imidazolate N atom, forming a slightly distorted square pyramidal geometry. Magnetic susceptibility measurements of 1 and 2 show that the two Cu(II) atoms of the binuclear unit are antiferromagnetically coupled with g = 2.148, J = −86.09 cm−1 for 1, and g = 2.047, J = −38.20 cm−1 for 2. The correlation between the structures and the J values is discussed.  相似文献

Three new homopolynuclear complexes with azido bridges have been obtained by using [Cu(AA)(BB)]+ building-blocks (AA = acetylacetonate; BB = 1,10-phenanthroline or 2,2′-bipyridine). The reaction between [Cu(acac)(phen)(H2O)](ClO4) and NaN3 leads to a mixture of two compounds: a binuclear complex, [{Cu(acac)(phen)}21,3-N3)](ClO4) · 2H2O (1), and a linear tetranuclear one, [{Cu(acac)(phen)(ClO4)}2{Cu(phen)(μ1,1-N3)2}2] (2). The reaction between [Cu(acac)(bipy)(H2O)](ClO4) and NaN3 affords also a mixture of two compounds: [{Cu(acac)(bipy)}21,3-N3)]3(ClO4)3 · 3.75H2O (3) and [Cu(acac)(bipy)(N3)][Cu(acac)(bipy)(H2O)](ClO4) (4). The X-ray crystal structures of compounds 1-4 have been solved (for compound 4 the crystal structure was previously reported). In compounds 1 and 3, two {Cu(AA)(BB)} fragments are bridged by the azido anion in an end-to-end fashion. Two isomers, cis and trans with respect to azido bridge, were found in crystal 3. The structure of compound 2 consists of two Cu(II) central cations bridged by two μ1,1-azido ligands, each of them being also connected to a {Cu(acac)(phen)} fragment through another μ1,1-azido ligand. The cryomagnetic properties of the compounds 1 and 2 have been investigated and discussed. The magnetic behaviour of compound 1 shows the absence of any interactions between the metallic ions. In the tetranuclear complex 2, the magnetic interactions between the external and central copper(II) ions(J1), and between the central metallic ions (J2) were found ferromagnetic (J1 = 0.36 cm−1, J2 = 7.20 cm−1).  相似文献

Herein, we report the syntheses, spectral and structural characterization, and magnetic behavior of four new dinuclear terephthalato-bridged copper(II) complexes with formulae [Cu2(trpn)2(μ-tp)](ClO4)2 · 2H2O (1), [Cu2(aepn)2(μ-tp)(ClO4)2] (2), [Cu2(Medpt)2(μ-tp)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (3) and [Cu2(Et2dien)2(μ-tp)(H2O)](ClO4)2 (4) where tp = terephthalate dianion, trpn = tris(3-aminopropyl)-amin, aepn = N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-propanediamine, Medpt = 3,3′-diamino-N-methyldipropylmine and Et2dien = N,N-diethyldiethylenetriamine. The structures of these complexes consist of two μ-tp bridging Cu(II) centers in a bis(monodentate) bonding fashion. The coordination geometry of the Cu(II) ions in these compounds may be described as close to square-based pyramid (SP) with severe significant distortion towards trigonal bipyramid (TBP) stereochemistry in 1. The visible spectra of the complexes in aqueous solutions are in complete agreement with the assigned X-ray geometry around the Cu(II) centers. Also, the solid infrared spectral data for the stretching frequencies of the tp-carboxalato groups, the ν(COO) reveals the existence of bis(monodentate) coordination mode for the bridged terephthalate ligand. The susceptibility measurements at variable temperature over the range 2-300 K are reported. Despite the same bonding mode of the tp bridging ligand, there has been observed slight antiferromagnetic coupling for the compounds 1 and 4 with J values of −0.5 and −2.9 cm3 K mol−1, respectively, and very weak ferromagnetic coupling for 2 and 3 with J values of 0.8 and 10.1 cm3 K mol−1, respectively. The magnetic results are discussed in relation to other related μ-terephthalato dinuclear Cu(II) published compounds.  相似文献

Two oxime-functionalized diazamesocyclic derivates, namely, N,N′-bis(acetophenoneoxime)-1,4-diazacycloheptane (H2L1) and N,N′-bis(acetophenonoxime)-1,5-diazacyclooctane (H2L2), have been prepared and characterized. Both ligands (obtained in the hydrochloride form) can form stable metal complexes with CuII and NiII salts, the crystal structures of which were determined by X-ray diffraction technique. The reactions of H2L1 with Cu(ClO4)2 and Ni(ClO4)2 afford a penta-coordinated mononuclear complex [Cu(H2L1)Cl] · ClO4 (1) and a four-coordinated monomeric [Ni(HL1)] · ClO4 (2), in which the ligand is monodeprotonated. The ligand H2L2 also forms a quite similar mononuclear [Ni(HL2)] · ClO4 complex with Ni(ClO4)2, according to our previous work. However, reactions of different CuII salts [Cu(ClO4)2, CuCl2 and Cu(NO3)2 for 3, and CuSO4 for 4] with H2L2 in the presence of NaClO4 yield two unusual mono-μ-Cl dinuclear CuII complexes [Cu2(HL2)2Cl] · (ClO4) (3), and [Cu2(H2L2)(HL2)Cl] · (ClO4)2 · (H2O)(4). These results indicate that the resultant CuII complexes (1, 3 and 4) are sensitive to the backbones of diazamesocycles and even auxiliary anions.  相似文献

The synthesis, crystal structures and magnetic properties of two different copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(L1)(dca)]n · nClO4 (1) and [Cu(L2)]2(dca)(ClO4) (2) [L1 = N,N-dimethylethylene-N′-(pyridine-2-carbaldiiminato), HL2 = N,N-dimethylethylene-N′-salicylaldiiminato, dca = dicyanamide anion] are described. Spectroscopic and electrochemical properties have also been discussed. A one-dimensional chain structure with single, symmetrical, μ1,5-dca bridges is found in compound 1. The copper atom in 1 has a square pyramidal geometry. A tridentate Schiff base ligand, having NNN donor sites, and one nitrogen atom from dca occupy the basal plane. N(18) of a neighbouring unit occupies the apical site. The Schiff base used in compound 2 is a tridentate anion with NNO donor sites, which changes the structure in a dinuclear unit of copper atoms bridged by single end-to-end dicyanamide ion. The environment around copper in 2 is square planar. Magnetic susceptibility measurements for 1 and 2 reveal the occurrence of weak antiferromagnetic interaction through the dca ligand.  相似文献

The dinuclear dicarboxylato-bridged copper(II) complexes [Cu2(TPA)2(μ-tp)](ClO4)2 · H2O (1), [Cu2(TPA)2(μ-fum)](ClO4)2 · 2H2O (2) and [Cu2(pmedien)2(μ-fum)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (3) (tp = terephthalate dianion, fum = fumarate dianion, TPA = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine and pmedien = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine) were synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The structures of the TPA complexes 1 and 2 consist of μ-tp or μ-fum bridging two Cu(II) centers in a bis(monodentate) bonding fashion. The coordination geometry around the Cu(II) ions in these compounds has a distorted trigonal bipyamidal geometry, TBP with four nitrogen atoms from the TPA ligand and a coordinated oxygen atom supplied by the carboxylate group of the bridged dicarboxylato ligand. Complex 3 has a distorted square pyramidal geometry achieved by the three N-atoms of the pmedien, one fum-carboxylate-oxygen and by an oxygen atom from a coordinated water molecule. The intradimer Cu…Cu distances in these complexes are 11.078(3), 8.663(4) and 9.520(3) Å for 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The electronic spectra of the complexes in aqueous solutions are in complete agreement with the assigned X-ray geometry around the Cu(II) centers. Also, analysis of the infrared spectral data for the ν(COO) stretching frequencies of the tp-carboxalato groups reveals the existence of the bis(mondentate) coordination mode for the bridged dicarboxylato ligands in compounds 1 and 2. The susceptibility measurements at variable temperature over the 2-300 K range are reported. For 1-3, it has been observed slight antiferromagnetic coupling with J values of −0.8, −3.0 and −2.9 cm−1, respectively.  相似文献

New complexes of formulae [Cu(HL2)(H2O)(NO3)](NO3) (1), [{Cu(L1)(tfa)}2] (2), [{Cu(L1)}2(pz)](ClO4)2 (3) and {[{Cu(L1)}2(dca)](ClO4)}n (4), where HL1 = pyridine-2-carbaldehyde thiosemicarbazone, HL2 = pyridine-2-carbaldehyde 4N-methylthiosemicarbazone, Htfa = trifluoroacetic acid (CF3COOH), pz = pyrazine (C4H4N2) and dca = dicyanamide [N(CN)2], have been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structures of these compounds are built up of monomers (1), dinuclear entities with the metal centers bridged through the non-thiosemicarbazone coligand (2 and 3) and 1D chains of dimers (4). In all the cases, square-pyramidal copper(II) ions are present, except for the square-planar ones in 3. Magnetic measurements show antiferromagnetic couplings in 2, 3 and 4. The susceptibility data were fitted by the Bleaney-Bowers’ equation for copper(II) dimers derived from H = -2JS1S2 being the obtained J/k values −4.8, −4.3 and −5.1 K for compounds 2-4, respectively. The magnetic susceptibility of the already known [{Cu(HL1)(tfa)}2](tfa)2 compound has been also measured for the first time. The J/k value is -0.3 K, lower than that in 2. The nuclease activity of 3 and 4 has been analyzed.  相似文献

In aqueous solution, the reaction of Cu(ClO4)2 and di(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, DPA with the disodium salt of pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylate (Na2Hpzdc) in presence of sodium azide afforded the azido complex [Cu3(DPA)3(μ-pzdc)(μ-N3)](ClO4)2·2H2O (1) whereas when reaction was conducted in absence of sodium azide the perchlorato complex [Cu3(DPA)3(μ-pzdc)(μ-ClO4)](ClO4)2·3H2O (2) was obtained. The complexes were structurally characterized by physicochemical techniques and by single crystal X-ray crystallography in case of 1. The coordination sphere of the two complexes which are iso-structural polymeric 1D systems consist of three independent Cu(DPA) units, one pzdc bridging ligand and one end-on bridging azido group in 1 or one bridging perchlorato group in 2. The three Cu(II) centers in both complexes may be described as axially elongated octahedral. Magnetic susceptibility measurements reveal the weak anti-ferromagnetic coupling in the two complexes (= −23.2 cm−1 for 1 and −14.8 cm−1 for 2).  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of several complexes of the composition [{M(terpy)}n(L)](ClO4)m (M = Pt, Pd; L = 1-methylimidazole, 1-methyltetrazole, 1-methyltetrazolate; terpy = 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine; n = 1, 2; m = 1, 2, 3) is reported and their applicability in terms of a metal-mediated base pair investigated. Reaction of [M(terpy)(H2O)]2+ with 1-methylimidazole leads to [M(terpy)(1-methylimidazole)](ClO4)2 (1: M = Pt; 2: M = Pd). The analogous reaction of [Pt(terpy)(H2O)]2+ with 1-methyltetrazole leads to the organometallic compound [Pt(terpy)(1-methyltetrazolate)]ClO4 (3) in which the aromatic tetrazole proton has been substituted by the platinum moiety. For both platinum(II) and palladium(II), doubly metalated complexes [{M(terpy)}2(1-methyltetrazolate)](ClO4)3 (4: M = Pt; 5: M = Pd) can also be obtained depending on the reaction conditions. In the latter two compounds, the [M(terpy)]2+ moieties are coordinated via C5 and N4. X-ray crystal structures of 1, 2, and 3 are reported. In addition, DFT calculations have been carried out to determine the energy difference between fully planar [Pd(mterpy)(L)]2+ complexes Ip-IVp (mterpy = 4′-methyl-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine; L = 1-methylimidazole-N3 (I), 1-methyl-1,2,4-triazole-N4 (II), 1-methyltetrazole-N3 (III), or 3-methylpyridine-N1 (IV)) and the respective geometry-optimized structures Io-IVo. Whereas this energy difference is larger than 70 kJ mol−1 for compounds I, II, and IV, it amounts to only 0.8 kJ mol−1 for the tetrazole-containing complex III, which is stabilized by two intramolecular C-H?N hydrogen bonds. Of all complexes under investigation, only the terpyridine-metal ion-tetrazole system with N3-coordinated tetrazole appears to be suited for an application in terms of a metal-mediated base pair in a metal-modified oligonucleotide.  相似文献

The synthesis, structural characterization and magnetic property of two new coordination polymers [Cu(pyz)(μ-CH3CO2)4]n (1) and [Cu(pyz)(μ-CCl3CO2)4]n (2) (pyz = pyrazine) are reported. Here, the carboxylato bridged two dinuclear copper(II) complexes are linked through pyrazine giving a 1-D alternating chain. The magnetic property of the complexes indicates a significant difference originated from the introduction of electron withdrawing substituent on the bridging dicarboxylate. Complex 1 exhibits strong antiferromagnetic interactions with J = −344.61 cm−1, whereas 2 exhibits comparatively less strong antiferromagnetic coupling with J = −238.53 cm−1.  相似文献

Two new mononuclear spin-crossover iron(II) complexes, [FeL2(NCS)2] · H2O (1) and [FeL2(NCSe)2] (2), have been synthesized from the reaction of the versatile ligand 4,5-bis(2-cyanoethylthio)-2-bis(2-pyridyl)methylene-1,3-dithiole (L), Fe(ClO4)2, and KNCX (X = S/Se). Reactions of L with CuII or CoII salts afford one mononuclear complex [CuL(hfac)2] · CH3OH (hfac = hexafluoroacetylacetonate) (3), one dinuclear complex [(CuLCl)2(μ-Cl)2] · CH3OH (4), and two 1D chain species, [CuL2]n(BF4)2n (5) and [CoL2]n(ClO4)2n · 2nCH2Cl2 (6). The crystal structures of complexes 1 and 3-6 have been determined by X-ray crystallography. Short intermolecular S?S contacts between neighboring 1D arrays are observed in 5 and 6, which lead to the formation of the 2D structure. The magnetic properties are studied, and antiferromagnetic couplings between the CuII centers across the chloride bridges have been found in 4 (J = 2.04 cm-1). Spin-crossover behaviors between high and low spin states are observed at T1/2 = 80 K for 1 and T1/2 = 300 K for 2, respectively.  相似文献

Two unprecedented families of bpca-based mono-dimensional complexes Cu(bpca)(X) (X = CN, 1; N3, 2) and [Cu1 − xFex(bpca)](ClO4) (x = 0, 3; 0.23, 4) were synthesised. The structure of 1 was solved ab initio from X-ray powder diffraction data and refined by Rietveld methods. The complexes 3-4 were characterised by X-ray single crystal diffraction. In 1 the cyano ligand coordinates the metal centres, the Cu centres forming a zigzag 1-D chain along the (0 0 1) direction, while in 3-4, the bpca ligand itself acts as the link towards the metal ions which are arranged in a linear 1-D chain running parallel to the (0 0 1) direction. An infrared spectroscopy study confirmed these coordination modes. The magnetic properties of both chain families were studied. 1-2 do not show significant magnetic interactions, whereas the magnetic behaviour for 3-4 suggests dominant antiferromagnetic interactions between the metal ions within the chains. The magnetic behaviour of 3 was analysed using the Padé approximation of the Bonner-Fisher model for S = 1/2 antiferromagnetic chains. The J value was estimated as 10 K.  相似文献
