The structure of the K40 antigenic capsular polysaccharide (K40 antigen) of E. coli O8:K40:H9 was elucidated by determination of the composition, 1H- and 13C-n.m.r. spectroscopy, periodate oxidation and Smith degradation, and methylation analysis. The K40 polysaccharide consists of [(O-β- -glucopyranosyluronic acid)-(1→4)-O-(2-acetamido-2-deoxy-- -glucopyranosyl)-(1→6)-O-(2-acetamido-2-deoxy-- -glucopyranosyl)-(1→4)] repeating units. All of the glucuronic acid residues are substituted amidically with -serine.  相似文献

Syntheses of methyl 3-O-- -galactopyranosyl-- -mannopyranoside (10) and methyl 3-O-- -galactopyranosyl-2-O-(β- -glucopyranosyluronic acid)-- -mannopyranoside (11) in good yield are described. Both 10 and 11 significantly inhibit antigen-antibody precipitation in the Klebsiella Type 10 immune system. The results provide more evidence for the structure (1) of the antigen from Klebsiella K-10 and its immunodominant grouping.  相似文献

The title tetrasacharide having the structure 3-O-Me-β- -Xylp-(1→4)-- -Rhap-(1→4)-- -Rhap-(1→2)- -Rhap was obtained by reaction of the -acetobromo derivative of 4-O-(3-O-methyl-β- -xylopyranosyl)- -rhamnopyranose and benzyl 3,4-di-O-benzyl-2-O-(2,3-O-isopropylidene-- -rhamnopyranosyl)-- -rhamnopyranoside, followed by removal of the protecting groups. The synthesised compounds were characterised on the basis of n.m.r. data.  相似文献

Methylation and partial acid hydrolysis of xylans from the bast and core of kenaf (Hibiscus cannabinus) showed that the main chain of these xylans consists of (1 → 4)-linked β-d-xylopyranosyl (Xylp) residues, some of which carry a -1,2-linked 4-O-methyl-glucopyranosyluronic acid (Me-GlcAp) and glucopyranosyluronic acid (GlcAp) residues as side chains. Partial hydrolysis of kenaf xylans afforded two series of aldouronic acids from aldobio- to aldotetraouronic acids. The acids of the first series composed of 4-O-Me-d-GlcAp and d-Xylp residues: 4-O-Me-GlcA-Xyl3, 4-O-Me-GlcA-Xyl2 and 4-O-Me-GlcA-Xyl. The second series composed of d-GlcAp and d-Xylp: GlcA-Xyl3, GlcA-Xyl2 and GlcA-Xyl.

In addition to these acids, another aldobiouronic acid, 4-O-(-d-GalAp)-d-Xyl was found to be present in the partial hydrolysate.

The molar ratio of GalA, GlcA, 4-O-Me-GlcA, and Xyl residues was calculated to be 1.0:2.0:9.4:119 for the bast xylan and 1.0:1.3:7.9:99.4 for the core xylan.  相似文献

Three main saponins were isolated from the seeds of Albizzia lucida. Their structures were established by spectral analyses and chemical and enzymatic transformations as 3-O-[β- -xylopyranosyl(1→2)-- -arabinopyranosyl (1→6)] [β- -glucopyranosyl (1→2)] β- -glucopyranosyl echinocystic acid; 3-O-[- -arabinopyranosyl (1→6)][β- -glucopyranosyl (1→2)]-β- -glucopyranosyl echinocystic acid and 3-O-[β- -xylopyranosyl (1→2)-β- -fucopyranosyl (1→6)-2-acetamido-2-deoxy-β- -glucopyranosyl echinocystic acid, characterized as its methyl ester.  相似文献

Analytical data are presented for the water-soluble gum exudates from Brachystegia glaucescens, B. spiciformis, and Julbernardia globiflora. They are acidic polysaccharides containing glucuronic acid, 4-O-methylglucuronic acid and galacturonic acid, together with galactose, minor amounts of arabinose, and relatively high proportions of rhamnose. The exudate from B. glaucescens is of particular interest in having high molecular weight, high intrinsic viscosity, and a high methoxyl content. The nitrogen content of all three gums is low, but amino acid analysis shows that proteinaceous components are involved, as in the gum exudates from other genera.  相似文献

Three new cycloartane glycosides, trigonoside I, II and III, and the known astragalosides I and II were isolated from the roots of Astragalus trigonus. The structures of the new glycosides were totally elucidated by high field (600 MHz) NMR analyses as cycloastragenol-6-O-β-xylopyranoside, cycloastragenol-3-O-[-l-arabinopyranosyl(1 → 2)-β-d-xylopyranosyl]-6-O-β- d-xylopyranoside and cycloastragenol-3-O-[-l-arabinopyranosyl(1 → 2)-β-d-(3-O-acetyl)-xylopyranosyl]-6-O-β-d-xylopyranoside.  相似文献

A new acetophenone glycoside and two new naphthalide glycosides have been isolated from the bark of Turkish Rhamnus libanoticus together with 7-hydroxy-5-methoxyphthalide 7-O-β-D-glucoside. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods as 2,6-dihydroxy-4-methoxyacetophenone 2-O-β- rutinoside, 8,9-dihydroxy-6-methoxynaphthalide 8-O-β-rutinoside, 8,9-dihydroxy-6-methoxynaphthalide 8-O-/3b-D glucoside, respectively.  相似文献

Oligosaccharides not previously recorded in the Cladophorales (green algae) have been separated from the 80% ethanolic extract and characterised. 4-O-Lactyl-β- -fructofuranosyl - -glucopyranoside (sucrose lactate) was found only in Cladophora laetevirens and a fresh-water Rhizoclonium species. Panose, maltotriose, maltotetraose, and 6-O- -glucosylmaltotriose appear to be common to all the species examined1.  相似文献

An analytical study has been made of six gum specimens from Albizia lebbeck, Leguminosae. Galactose, mannose, arabinose, glucuronic acid and its 4-O--metyl analogue are present in all the specimens studied. Rhamnose was not detected according to sugar analysis and spectral data. The absence of this sugar, the high acidity and the relatively low limit viscosity number contrast with the values reported previously for one African sample of A. lebbeck. The lead content is much higher than that recorded for other Albizia gums. 13C-NMR spectrum of this gum, in deuterium oxide, shows good resolution.  相似文献

The blue colour of the petals of the blue marguerite daisy, Felicia amelloides, has been found to arise from copigmentation between a novel malonylated delphinidin triglycoside, delphinidin 3-O-neohesperidoside 7-O- (6-O-malonyl-glucoside), and a new flavone C-glycoside, swertisin 2″-O-rhamnoside-4′-O-glucoside. Recombination, in vitro, of these two petal components at pH 6 recreates the blue petal colour.  相似文献

A homogeneous fucogalactoxyloglucan, isolated from the leaves of Hymenaea courbaril, was analysed by methylation-GC–MS. These procedures involved derived partially O-methylated alditol acetates and acetylated aldononitriles, which demonstrated the presence of both 2-O- and 4-O-substituted Xylp units in the side-chains. The presence of the unusual, latter structure was confirmed by 2D NMR spectroscopy with a correlated HMQC C-4/H-4 signal at δ 77.8/3.73. A similar 4-O-substituted xylosyl structure was present in a decasaccharide Glc4Xyl3Gal2Fuc obtained via endo-glucanase treatment of the polysaccharide, which gave rise to a molecular ion with m/z 1555 (ESI-MS, Na+ form).  相似文献

Synthesis and activity of derivatives at the O5 or O6 positions of 1-N-((S)-4-amino-2-hydroxybutyryl)-3′,4′-dideoxyneamine, which is the neamine moiety of arbekacin, were reported. Among these results, the 5-O-aminoethylaminocarbonyl derivative showed effective activity against Staphylococcus aureus expressing a bifunctional aminoglycoside-modifying enzyme AAC(6′)-APH(2″).  相似文献

Analytical data are presented for the polysaccharide and proteinaceous components of the gum exudates from Chloroxylon swietenia and Sclerocarya caffra, and for the amino acid compositions of the exudates from Azadirachta indica (two specimens) and Moringa oleifera. The gums from C. swietenia and S. caffra contain 4-O-methylglucuronic acid, glucuronic acid, galactose and arabinose; rhamnose is absent. Amino acid analysis shows that proteinaceous material is present in the gums from C. swietenia, S. caffra and M. oleifera despite their low nitrogen content. Hydroxyproline accounts for 28 % of the amino acid content of S. caffra gum. In contrast, A. indica gum has a high nitrogen content but contains very little hydroxyproline.  相似文献

Guignardia citricarpa is a phytopathogenic fungus and the causal agent of citrus black spot. Incubation in a semi-defined media resulted in formation of exopolysaccharides [EPS(s)]. A medium containing glucose gave rise to a (1→6)-linked β-glucan (200 kD), pustulan, which was characterized by NMR and methylation analysis. A sucrose-containing medium provided a homogalactan (376 kD) and methylation analysis showed nonreducing end- (20%), 6-O- (53%) and 5,6-di-O-substituted Galf units (27%). An HMQC spectrum of the homogalactan showed C-1/H-1 signals at δ 108.2/4.820, 108.3/4.820 and 107.1/5.079, corresponding to three types of β- -Galf units. A DEPT analysis showed inverted signals (CH2) at δ 67.8 and 67.2, corresponding to 6-O-substituted β- -Galf units, whereas a C-5 signal at δ 77.0 suggests 5-O-substitution, confirming a novel structure for a β-galactofuranan.  相似文献

Phytochemical studies on the stem bark of Guibourtia tessmanii yielded a dihydrochalcone glucoside, 2′,4-dihydroxy-4′-methoxy-6′-O-β-glucopyranoside dihydrochalcone and a new stilbene glycoside, 3,5-dimethoxy-4′-O-(β-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→6)-β- glucopyranoside) stilbene besides the known pterostilbene. Their structures were established on the basis of one and two dimensional NMR spectroscopic techniques, FABMS and chemical evidence.  相似文献

β-Glycosides of 2-acetamido-2-deoxy- -glucopyranose were synthesized, using either 7-methoxycarbonyl-3,6-dioxa-1-heptanol or 8-azido-3,6-dioxa-1-octanol. Selective β-lactosylation of 7-methoxycarbonyl-3,6-dioxaheptyl 2-acetamido-3-O-benzyl-2-deoxy-β- -glucopyranoside with hepta-O-acetyl-lactosyl-trichloroacetimidate, followed by β-galactosylation of the secondary hydroxyl group with O-(2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-- -galactopyranosyl)trichloroacetimidate, catalytic hydrogenolysis, and O-deacetylation, gave 7-methoxycarbonyl-3,6-dioxaheptyl 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-4-O-β- -galactopyranosyl-6-O-(4-O-β- -galactopyranosyl-β- -glucopyranosyl)β- -glucopyranoside. Selective β-lactosylation of 8-azido-3,6-dioxaocytl 2-acetamido-3-O-benzyl-2-deoxy-β- -glucopyranoside with hepta-O-acetyl-lactosyl bromide in the presence of silver triflate, followed by condensation with 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-acetyl-- -galactopyranosyl bromide in the presence of silver triflate, catalytic hdyrogenolysis, and O-deacetylation, gave 8-azido-3,6-dioxaoctyl 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-4-O-β- -galactopyranosyl-6-O-(4-O-β- -galactopyranosyl-β- -glucopyranosyl)-β- glucopyranoside.  相似文献
