We compared the upright standing in 7 patients with sensory-motor disorders and 7 healthy subjects (control) before and after 30-s involuntary neck muscle contraction. A trajectory of the center of pressure was recorded during 30-s standing with the eyes open, eyes closed and standing on a foam-rubber with the eyes open. As compared to healthy subjects, patients exhibited an increased body sway area during standing with the eyes open on both the firm surface and foam-rubber and a backward shift of the center of pressure during standing with the eyes both open and closed. Closing the eyes affected the upright standing of patients to a lesser extent than standing of healthy subjects. Involuntary neck muscle contraction within 30 s elicited a backward shift of the center of pressure in healthy subjects, especially during standing with the eyes closed, and a decrease in the length of the center-of-pressure trajectory, especially of its frontal component during standing on the foam-rubber. In patients, a post-effect of the neck muscle contraction manifested itself as a decrease in the body sway area during standing on the foam-rubber and relative increase in the frontal component of the center-of-pressure trajectory during standing with the eyes closed. The results suggest that the upright standing of patients with sensory-motor disorders is more sensitive to somatosensory than visual input, and 30-s neck muscle contraction approach their postural stability to the age-matched control. 相似文献

The influence of the increased cerebral blood flow (CBF) induced by acetazolamide on tympanic temperature (T
ty) was examined in three healthy male volunteers and in five patients with subacute subarachnoid haemorrhage (SAH). The CBF
was estimated by means of stable xenon-enhanced computed tomography before and after the administration of acetazolamide.
The T
ty was recorded continuously in both ears using thermistor thermometers. In all subjects, CBF increased ranging from 11% to
108% after acetazolamide administration. In all the healthy subjects and in two patients with mild SAH, T
ty was higher than the oesophageal temperature (T
oes) and T
ty decreased bilaterally, ranging from 0.07 to 0.35°C as CBF increased. Three patients with severe SAH were febrile, their T
oes exceeding T
ty, and their T
ty rose by 0.30 to 0.53°C with increased CBF. These observations suggest that T
ty follows brain temperature which changes with an increase in CBF in euthermic subjects as well as in febrile subjects.

Genotype analysis of Malassezia restricta as the major cutaneous flora in patients with atopic dermatitis and healthy subjects 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Lipophilic yeasts of the genus Malassezia colonize the skin surface of humans and are an exacerbating factor in atopic dermatitis (AD). Two species, M. restricta and M. globosa are major cutaneous microflora in both AD patients and healthy subjects. We compared the DNA sequences of the intergenic spacer (IGS) region, located between the 26S and 5S rRNA genes of M. restricta colonizing the skin surfaces of 13 AD patients and 12 healthy subjects, and of three CBS stock strains as references. The IGS 1 sequences were divided into two major groups, corresponding to AD patients and healthy subjects. These findings suggest that a specific genotype of M. restricta plays a significant role in AD, although M. restricta commonly colonizes both AD patients and healthy subjects. 相似文献

Mental counting of self heartbeats results in changes of parameters of heart rhythm--domain and other frequencies of the RR-intervals, especially, high frequencies (0.15-0.4 Hz), which are relevant to respiration. The accuracy of mental counting of the heartbeats (the ratio of traced beats to the number of registered ones) corresponds to individual relations between the frequencies, regularity, and total number of the heartbeats. A possibility of the voluntary regulation of respiration as the cause of changes in the heartbeat frequency is discussed in terms of the center-periphery integration (system approach) for optimal perception of self heartbeats. 相似文献

Patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) are highly susceptible to viral, bacterial, and fungal skin infections because their skin is dry and this compromises the barrier function of the skin. Therefore, the skin microbiota of patients with AD is believed to be different from that of healthy individuals. In the present study, the skin fungal microbiota of nine patients with mild, moderate, or severe AD and ten healthy subjects were compared using an rRNA clone library. Fungal D1/D2 large subunit analysis of 3647 clones identified 58 species and seven unknown phylotypes in face scale samples from patients with AD and healthy subjects. Malassezia species were predominant, accounting for 63%-86% of the clones identified from each subject. Overall, the non-Malassezia yeast microbiota of the patients was more diverse than that of the healthy individuals. In the AD samples 13.0 ± 3.0 species per case were detected, as compared to 8.0 ± 1.9 species per case in the samples taken from healthy individuals. Notably, Candida albicans, Cryptococcus diffluens, and Cryptococcus liquefaciens were detected in the samples from the patients with AD. Of the filamentous fungal microbiota, Cladosporium spp. and Toxicocladosporium irritans were the predominant species in these patients. Many pathogenic fungi, including Meyerozyma guilliermondii (anamorphic name, Candida guilliermondii), and Trichosporon asahii, and allergenic microorganisms such as Alternaria alternata and Aureobasidium pullulans were found on the skin of the healthy subjects. When the fungal microbiota of the samples from patients with mild/moderate to severe AD and healthy individuals were clustered together by principal coordinates analysis they were found to be clustered according to health status. 相似文献

The anaerobic gram-negative faecal flora of five patients with Crohn's Disease (CD) was identified and compared with that of healthy subjects. For isolation and cultivation of the anaerobic gram-negative rods a non-selective medium was used. There were no significant differences in numbers of Bacteroides and Fusobacterium spp. between patients with CD and healthy subjects. However, the numbers of the "Bacteroides fragilis" group were significantly higher in patients than in controls. The high numbers of the "B. fragilis" group in the faeces of patients were particularly due to B. vulgatus which was 6 times more frequent in patients than in healthy subjects. This indicated that B. vulgatus was responsible for the higher numbers of anaerobic gram-negative rods in the faecal flora of patients with CD. 相似文献

Serum prolactin (PRL) levels in basal conditions (two samples) and 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 e 180 minutes after oral administration of baclofen (20 mg) were evaluated in 6 healthy subjects and in 10 patients with prolactinoma. The effect of baclofen (20 mg by mouth) on the PRL secretion cimetidine (400 mg i.v.) or domperidone (20 mg i.v.) induced were evaluated in 9 healthy women by administration of baclofen 60 minutes before cimetidine or domperidone. Baclofen was unable to significantly rise serum PRL levels in healthy subjects and in patients affected by prolactinoma and furthermore did not interfere with PRL rise domperidone induced. On the contrary baclofen decreased PRL rise cimetidine induced. It was concluded that: in basal condition, GABAb receptor don't play an obvious role in modulation of PRL secretion; when H2 istaminergic inhibition on PRL secretion is blocked (at an hypothalamic site), a GABA inhibition, b receptor mediated, on PRL secretion became more clear; the domperidone blockade of hypophysial dopaminergic receptors suggests that GABAb modulation of prolactin secretion don't obtain itself by dopaminergic pathways. 相似文献

The aim of the study was to investigate the range of mandibular movements and to analyze the difference in range of mouth opening, right and left lateral movements, and protrusive movement between patients with clinical diagnoses of temporomandibular disorders and asymptomatic subjects (control group) in a young male population. A total of 240 subjects, aged 19-28, were included in the study. The TMD sample comprised 180 patients (60 patients with muscle disorders; 60 patients with disc displacement with reduction; and 60 patients with muscle disorders and disc displacement with reduction) and was compared with 60 healthy control subjects. All participants were evaluated by the attending dentists at baseline by means of a physical examination of the masticatory system and a history questionnaire which included the Research Diagnostic Criteria for Temporomandibular Disorders (RDC/TMD) Axis I measures. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) with the post hoc Bonferroni criteria showed significant difference in ranges of mandibular movements between and within the groups of asymptomatic subjects and TMD patients for active mouth opening (p = 0.001), right lateral movement (p = 0.002), left lateral movement (p = 0.006), and protrusive movement (p = 0.05). It has been found that there are statistically significant differences in the range of mandibular movements that separate asymptomatic subjects and patients with muscle disorders and disc displacements with reduction in this young male population. However, we cannot conclude that measurements of active mandibular movements can discriminate one group (TMD patients) from the other (asymptomatic subjects), because the mean ranges of these active movements between the groups were measured in clinically "normal" values. 相似文献

Plasma sialyltransferase activity measured by incorporation of cytidine 5;-phospho[14C]acetylneuraminic acid (CMP-NeuAc) into asialofetuin was twofold higher in patients with documented atherosclerosis than in healthy donors. Kinetic studies showed that the enzyme affinity for CMP-NeuAc is the same in donors and patients. Low activity of plasma sialyltransferase in donors may be due to low blood content of this enzyme. 相似文献

Factor analysis was applied to EEG recordings of healthy and diseased subjects to be analyzed by an "on line" broad-band frequency analyser. Differences between the healthy and the diseased as to the number of given factors were established by means of the Lawly test. Up to 6 factors were determined for patients, up to 3 for the healthy. On medication, the number of factors rose in the delta and beta bands, remaining unchanged in the alpha band dropping the theta band. The patients manifested a sort of interindividual uniformity and intraindividual simplification. Except for different sites of pathological foci, the patients' EEG recordings were more like each other than those of healthy subjects. The latter might have undergone a similar process on medication. This enabled to establish more factors in the patients, moreover in such a way as to expose some general laws of cortical electric activity, such as unified cortical activity despite its various facets, hemispheral specificity, and finally also a relative autonomy of the frontal lobes. 相似文献
