The taxonomic status of a bacterium, strain NCCP-246T, isolated from rhizosphere of Vigna mungo, was determined using a polyphasic taxonomic approach. The strain NCCP-246T can grow at 16–37 °C (optimum 32 °C), at pH ranges of 6–8 (optimum growth occurs at pH 7) and in 0–4 % (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis based upon on 16S rRNA gene sequence comparison revealed that strain NCCP-246T belonged to genus Sphingobacterium. Strain NCCP-246T showed highest similarity to the type strain of Sphingobacterium canadense CR11T (97.67 %) and less than 97 % with other species of the genus. The DNA–DNA relatedness value of strain NCCP-246T with S. canadense CR11T and Sphingobacterium thalpophilum JCM 21153T was 55 and 44.4 %, respectively. The chemotaxonomic data revealed the major menaquinone as MK-7 and dominant cellular fatty acids were summed feature 3 [C16:1 ω7c/C16:1 ω6c] (37.07 %), iso-C15:0 (28.03 %), C16:0 (11.85 %), C17:0 cyclo (8.84 %) and C14:0 (2.42 %). The G+C content of the strain was 39.2 mol%. On the basis of DNA–DNA hybridization, phylogenetic analyses, physiological and, biochemical data, strain NCCP-246T can be differentiated from the validly named members of genus Sphingobacterium and thus represents as a new species, for which the name, Sphingobacterium pakistanensis sp. nov. is proposed with the type strain NCCP-246T (= JCM18974 T = KCTC 23914T).  相似文献

A novel actinomycete strain, designated VRC07T, was isolated from a Callistemon citrinus rhizosphere sample collected from Hyderabad, India. Its taxonomic status was determined by using polyphasic approach. It is a Gram-positive, aerobic, non-motile, weakly acid-fast strain. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that strain VRC07T is a member of the genus Nocardia. The highest levels of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity was found between the strains Nocardia niwae W9241T (99.6 %), Nocardia amikacinitolerans W9988T (99.3 %) and Nocardia arthritidis IFM 10035T (98.9 %); similarity to other type strains of the genus Nocardia was below 98.7 %. The organism had chemical and morphological features consistent with its classification in the genus Nocardia such as meso-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic diamino acid in the cell wall peptidoglycan. Arabinose and galactose as the diagnostic sugars. Diagnostic polar lipids were phosphatidylinositol, diphosphatidylglycerol, and phosphatidylglycerol. The predominant menaquinone was MK-8(H4, ω-cycl). The major fatty acids were C16:0, C18:0, C18:1 w9c, C18:0 10-methyl TBSA and sum in feature 3 (16:1 w7c/16:1 w6c). The G+C content of the genomic DNA was 68.5 mol%. The DNA–DNA relatedness data, together with phenotypic differences clearly distinguished the isolate from its closest relatives. On the basis of these phenotypic and genotypic data, the isolate represents a novel species, for which the name Nocardia bhagyanesis sp. nov., is proposed. The type strain is VRC07T (=KCTC 29209T = MTCC 11725T = ATCC BAA-2548).  相似文献

A Gram stain-negative, strictly aerobic, rod-shaped, non-motile and deep-yellow-coloured bacterial strain, designated ZFJR-3T, was isolated from the stem of Geum aleppicum Jacq. collected from Taibai Mountain in Shaanxi Province, north-west China, and characterized by using a polyphasic approach. The novel isolate grew optimally at 25–28 °C and in the absence of NaCl. Flexirubin-type pigments were produced. The predominant respiratory quinone was ubiquinone-8 (Q-8) and the major cellular fatty acids were iso-C15:0 (29.2 %), iso-C16:0 (18.5 %), summed feature 9 (comprising iso-C17:1 ω9c and/or C16:0 10-methyl; 8.8 %), C16:1 ω7c alcohol (8.8 %), iso-C11:0 3-OH (6.9 %) and iso-C11:0 (6.8 %). The DNA G+C content was 66.1 mol %. The only polyamine was spermidine and the major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylglycerol. Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that strain ZFJR-3T belongs to the genus Pseudoxanthomonas and was most closely related to Pseudoxanthomonas yeongjuensis KCTC 22757T (16S rRNA gene sequence similarity, 99.0 %) and Pseudoxanthomonas sacheonensis KCTC 22080T (98.0 %). The levels of 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with respect to other Pseudoxanthomonas species with validly published names were less than 96.5 %. DNA–DNA relatedness values for strain ZFJR-3T with respect to its closely related neighbours P. yeongjuensis KCTC 22757T and P. sacheonensis KCTC 22080T were 48.7 and 36.3 %, respectively. Based on the phenotypic, phylogenetic and genotypic data, strain ZFJR-3T is considered to represent a novel species of the genus Pseudoxanthomonas, for which the name Pseudoxanthomonas gei sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is ZFJR-3T (=CCTCC AB 2013020T =KCTC 32298T).  相似文献

The strain was found to grow at 10–40 °C and pH 4–11, with an optimum of 30 °C and pH 7.0, respectively. Phylogenetic analysis based on a fragment of the full-length 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that strain 112T is a member of the genus Paenibacillus. High levels of 16S rRNA gene similarities were found between strain 112T, Paenibacillus sabinae DSM 17841T (97.82 %) and Paenibacillus forsythiae DSM 17842T (97.22 %). However, the DNA–DNA hybridization values between strain 112T and the type strains of these two species were 10.36 and 6.28 %, respectively. The predominant menaquinone was found to be menaquinone 7 (MK-7). The major fatty acids were determined to be anteiso-C15:0 and C16:0. The major polar lipids were found to be diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol and unknown aminophospholipids. The cell wall peptidoglycan was found to contain meso-diaminopimelic acid. The DNA G+C content was determined to be 55.4 mol%. On the basis of its phenotypic characteristics, 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis and the value of DNA–DNA hybridization, strain 112T is considered to represent a novel species of the genus Paenibacillus, for which the name Paenibacillus brassicae sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is 112T (= ACCC 01125T = DSM 24983T).  相似文献

Two gram-positive, aerobic, spore-forming, rod-shaped bacteria, designated HB09003T and HB12160, were isolated from seawater and sediment in the northern South China Sea, respectively. Cells were found to be motile by means of peritrichous flagella. The strains were found to grow with 0–15 % (w/v) NaCl, at 10–45 °C and pH 5.0–10.7, with an optimum of 3 % NaCl, 28 °C and pH 8.5, respectively. The predominant isoprenoid quinone of strain HB09003T, selected as the representative strain, was identified as MK-7. This strain was found to possess anteiso-C15:0, iso-C15:0, anteiso-C17:0 and C16:0 as the major fatty acids. The G+C contents of strain HB09003T and HB12160 were determined to be 34.1 and 34.3 mol%, respectively. Analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequences of the two strains showed an affiliation with the genus Gracilibacillus, with Gracilibacillus kekensis CGMCC 1.10681T (similarity of 97.4, 98.0 %, respectively) and Gracilibacillus ureilyticus CGMCC 1.7727T (similarity of 97.1, 97.8 %, respectively) as their closest relatives. The DNA–DNA hybridization values between strain HB09003T and the two type strains were 42.2 and 54.1 %, respectively. On the basis of phenotypic and genotypic data, strain HB09003T and HB12160 are proposed to represent a novel species of the genus Gracilibacillus, for which the name Gracilibacillus marinus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is HB09003T (=CGMCC 1.10343T = DSM 23372T).  相似文献

A flexirubin-type yellow-pigmented, non-gliding, non-flagellated, gram-negative bacterium strain, designated F3T, was isolated from a drilling core sample of the Qiangtang basin, Qinghai-Tibetan plateau, China. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that the strain F3T belongs to the genus Flavobacterium, with the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity to the Flavobacterium noncentrifugens CGMCC 1.10076T (94.92 %). Strain F3T grew optimally at temperature about 20 °C, at pH about 7.0–8.0, at NaCl concentration 0 % (w/v). The DNA G+C content of the isolate was 35.5 mol%. The major polar lipid was phosphatidylethanolamine, predominant cellular fatty acids of the strain was iso-C15:0 (22.02 %), while the major menaquinone was menaquinone 6. Due to the phenotypic and genetic distinctiveness and several other characteristic studied in this article, we consider F3T as a novel species of the genus Flavobacterium, and propose to name it Flavobacterium qiangtangensis sp. nov. The type strain is F3T (=CGMCC 1.12706T = JCM 19739T).  相似文献

An aerobic, Gram-staining negative, non-motile, and rod-shaped bacterial strain, SS011A0-7#2-2T, was isolated from the sediment of South China Sea with the depth of 1,500 m. Optimum growth occurred at pH 8.0, 30 °C, and 6 % (w/v) NaCl. Strain SS011A0-7#2-2T did not synthesize bacteriochlorophyll a or carotenoid, neither possess photosynthesis genes. Its genome DNA G+C content was 67.9 mol%. It contained Q-10 as the predominant ubiquinone and C18:1 ω7c (52.3 %) as the major fatty acid. The major polar lipids were phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylglycerol, diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, unidentified phospholipid, and unidentified aminolipid. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis revealed that it was closely related to Seohaeicola saemankumensis SD-15T, Phaeobacter gallaeciensis BS 107T and Roseovarius pacificus 81-2T in Rhodobacteraceae, with the 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities being 96.5, 95.7, and 95.6 %, respectively. However, the phylogeny of the 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain SS011A0-7#2-2T was a member of the genus Seohaeicola. Strain SS011A0-7#2-2T was moderately halophilic which was different from Seohaeicola saemankumensis SD-15T, and it showed the enzyme activities and carbon source spectrum significantly different from Seohaeicola saemankumensis SD-15T. As its physiological and chemotaxinomic properties were different from those of Seohaeicola saemankumensis SD-15T, strain SS011A0-7#2-2T represents a novel species of the genus Seohaecola. The name Seohaeicola nanhaiensis sp. nov. is proposed, with strain SS011A0-7#2-2T (=LMG 27733T = CGMCC 1.12759T) as the type strain.  相似文献

A Gram-positive, aerobic, non-motile actinobacterial strain, designated YIM C01235T, was isolated from a soil sample collected from the Swallow Cave, Yunnan province, south-west China. The isolate grew at 10–30 °C, pH 6.0–9.0 and 0–8 % (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed highest similarity to Saccharopolyspora gloriosae YIM 60513T (96.8 %), and lower 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities (95.1–96.7 %) with the other species of the genus Saccharopolyspora. The whole-cell hydrolysates contained meso-diaminopimelic acid (meso-DAP), arabinose and galactose. The polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylmethylethanolamine, two unknown glycolipids, two unknown phospholipids and one polar lipid. MK-9(H4) was the predominant menaquinone. The major fatty acids were iso-C15:0, iso-C16:0, anteiso-C15:0 and anteiso-C17:0. Mycolic acids were not detected. The genomic DNA G+C content was 69.1 mol%. These chemotaxonomic data, together with its morphological properties, were consistent with the assignment of strain YIM C01235T to the genus Saccharopolyspora. The results of physiological and biochemical tests allowed strain YIM C01235T to be differentiated phenotypically from all the recognized Saccharopolyspora species. On the basis of evidence from this polyphasic study, the novel species Saccharopolyspora cavernae sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is YIM C01235T (=DSM 45825T = CCTCC AA 2012022T).  相似文献

Phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain AR80T belonged to the genus Petrotoga and shared approximately 94.5 % sequence similarity with the type species of this genus. The G + C content of genomic DNA was 32.4 mol% while the value of DNA–DNA hybridization between the closest relative species Petrotoga miotherma and AR80T was 58.1 %. The major cellular fatty acids of strain AR80T consisted of 18:1 w9c, 16:0, and 16:1 w9c. Based on genetic and phenotypic properties, strain AR80T was different with other identified Petrotoga species and represents as a novel species, for which the name Petrotoga japonica sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is AR80T (=NBRC 108752T = KCTC 15103T = HUT 8122T).  相似文献

A Gram-negative, oxidase-positive, facultatively anaerobic bacterium, designated strain E20121, was isolated from the digestive tract of a Japanese prawn (Marsupenaeus japonicus) collected from the coastal sea water area of Zhuhai, Guangdong province, China. The new isolate was determined to be closely related to Vibrio ponticus DSM 16217T, having 97.6 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity. Phylogenetic analysis based on recA, pyrH and rpoA also showed low levels of sequence similarities (72.6–96.6 %) with all species of the genus Vibrio. A multigene phylogenetic tree using concatenated sequences of the four genes (16S rRNA, rpoA, recA and pyrH) clearly showed that the new isolate is different from the currently known Vibrio species. DNA–DNA hybridization experiments revealed similarity values below 70 % with the closest related species V. ponticus DSM 16217T. Several phenotypic traits enabled the differentiation of strain E20121 from the closest phylogenetic neighbours. The DNA G+C content of strain E20121 was determined to be 47.6 mol % and the major fatty acid components identified were C16:1ω7c and/or C16:1ω6c (39.8 %), C18:1ω7c (13.6 %) and C16:0 (9.6 %). Based on genotypic, phenotypic, chemotaxonomic, phylogenetic and DNA–DNA hybridization analyses, strain E20121 is proposed to represent a novel species of the genus Vibrio for which the name Vibrio zhuhaiensis sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is E20121T(=DSM 25602T = CCTCC AB 2011174T).  相似文献

A Gram-positive, coccoid, non-endospore-forming actinobacterium, designated YIM C01117T, was isolated from a soil sample collected from Alu ancient cave, Yunnan province, south-west China. Based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, strain YIM C01117T was shown to belong to the genus Microlunatus, with highest sequence similarity of 97.4 % to Microlunatus soli DSM 21800T. The whole genomic DNA relatedness as shown by the DNA–DNA hybridization study between YIM C01117T and M. soli DSM 21800T had a low value (47 ± 2 %). Strain YIM C01117T was determined to contain LL-diaminopimelic acid with Gly, Glu and Ala amino acids (A3γ′ type) in the cell wall. Whole-cell hydrolysates were found to contain glucose, galactose, mannose and ribose. The major polar lipids were determined to be phosphatidylglycerol and diphosphatidylglycerol. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was determined to be 65.9 mol%. The chemotaxonomic and genotypic data support the affiliation of the strain YIM C01117T to the genus Microlunatus. The results of physiological and biochemical tests allow strain YIM C01117T to be differentiated phenotypically from recognized Microlunatus species. Strain YIM C01117T is therefore considered to represent a novel species of the genus Microlunatus, for which the name Microlunatus cavernae sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is YIM C01117T (= DSM 26248T = JCM 18536T).  相似文献

A Gram-positive, moderately halotolerant, rod-shaped bacterium, designated YIM 94025T, was isolated from a soil sample from a salt lake in Xinjiang province, north-west China. Strain YIM 94025T was observed to grow at 25–45 °C (optimum 37 °C), 0–22 % NaCl (optimum 2–10 %) and pH 6.0–9.0 (optimum pH 8.0). Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that the organism belongs to the genus Tenuibacillus and exhibited sequence similarity of 98.0 % to the closest type strain, Tenuibacillus multivorans AS 1.3442T. The predominant menaquinone was found to be MK-7; the cell-wall peptidoglycan diamino acid was meso-diaminopimelic acid; the polar lipids consisted of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, an unidentified phospholipid and an unknown lipid; and the major fatty acids were found to contain iso-C15:0, anteiso-C15:0 and iso-C16:0. The chemotaxonomic characteristics of strain YIM 94025T are consistent with those of the genus Tenuibacillus. The level of DNA–DNA relatedness value between YIM 94025T and T. multivorans AS 1.3442T was 36.6 ± 4.5 %. The G+C content of the strain YIM 94025T was determined to be 38.5 %. Based on the comparative analysis of physiological, biochemical and chemotaxonomic data, as well as DNA–DNA hybridization results, the isolate is considered to represent a novel species of the genus Tenuibacillus, for which the name Tenuibacillus halotolerans sp. nov., is proposed, with the type strain of YIM 94025T (=CCTCC AB 2012860T = KCTC 33046T).  相似文献

Strain JLT2015T was isolated from surface seawater of the Southeastern Pacific. The strain was Gram-negative, aerobic, motile by gliding, and rod shaped. The dominant fatty acids were C18:1ω7c, C16:0, and C16:1ω7c. The major respiratory ubiquinone was Q-10, and the predominant polyamine pattern was spermidine. The components of the polar lipid profile were phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, diphosphatidylglycerol, and sphingoglycolipid. The DNA G+C content was 64.2 %. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed strain JLT2015T belonged to belong to the family Sphingomonadaceae, exhibiting 94.7 % 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with Novosphingobium pentaromativorans. On the basis of the taxonomic data presented, together with phylogenetic and genetic characteristics, strain JLT2015T is considered to represent a novel genus, for which the name Pacificamonas flava gen. nov., sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain of Pacificamonas flava is JLT2015T (=LMG27364T = CGMCC1.12401T).  相似文献
