新选育饲草玉米品系饲用营养价值初步研究   总被引:16,自引:0,他引:16  
对利用一年生大刍草和四倍体多年生大刍草分别与玉米杂交选育出的一年生饲草玉米(SC1)和多年生饲草玉米(SC3)生物产量和饲用营养成分进行分析,结果表明:SC1和SC3鲜草年产量分别达115 620kg/hm2、174 045kg/hm2,是普通玉米的4~6倍;SC3的粗蛋白质(CP)和无氮浸出物(NFE)含量最高,分别为17.57%、48.73%,粗纤维(CF)含量最低,为21.65%,其粗脂肪(EE)和灰分(CA)含量分别为4.30%和7.75%;SC1的营养成分含量分别为:(CP)14.73%、(CF)26.09%、(NFE)45.29%、(EE)4.78%和(CA)9.11%;化学营养类型分析表明SC1与SC3分别属NC型和N型,都是高产高饲用价值的新型饲草.  相似文献

Five concentrations (50-860 mg/kg) of residues obtained after distillation and lyophilization of commercial tequila were injected into mice for evaluation of chromosome aberrations, sister-chromatid exchanges, and proliferation kinetics in mouse bone marrow cells. Appropriate positive and negative controls were included. Our results showed significant dose-related increases of chromosomal aberrations starting at 50 mg/kg and for sister-chromatid exchanges at 430 mg/kg. Cellular proliferation kinetics showed no alterations. With these data we demonstrated that the residues of tequila are genotoxic in vivo.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to investigate the protective efficacy of alpha-lipoic acid (LA) on the cyclophosphamide (CP)-induced chromosomal aberrations (CA) and apoptosis in the bone marrow of rats. Male Wistar rats of 140+/-20 g were categorized into eight groups. Five groups were administered CP (40 mg/kg body weight, intraperitoneally) to induce toxicity; four of these groups received a single intraperitoneal injection of LA at a dose of either 100 or 200 mg/kg body weight, and either 30 or 60 min prior to CP administration. A vehicle-treated control group and LA control groups were also included. Twenty-four hours after CP treatment, the frequency of CA in bone marrow cells were significantly increased in comparison with the controls. The CP-induced CA were associated with significant increase in DNA damage in the bone marrow as evidenced by increased single strand breaks, whereas in rats treated with LA and CP, the frequency of CA and single strand breaks were significantly decreased in comparison to those given CP alone. CP administration distinctly triggered the apoptotic and necrotic cell death, and LA pretreatment affected cell death by decreasing the number of apoptotic and necrotic cells. The protective effect of LA was found to be stronger at a dose of 200 mg/kg body weight than 100 mg/kg body weight dosage, indicating the dose dependent protective effect of LA. However, the protection by LA was not dependent on the time intervals between LA and CP administration. The results of this study illustrate the protective effect of LA on the CA and apoptosis induced by CP in the erythropoietic system of rats.  相似文献

Immunocastration (IC, vaccination against gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH)) is one alternative to surgical castration (SC) for preventing sexual development and boar taint in male pigs. A temporal increase in performance has been described for IC pigs before the second vaccination against GnRH. The objective of this work was to assess the effects of IC on Iberian male and female pigs (fed diets of increasing CP content) on performance, nitrogen retention (NR) and digestibility, and carcass traits. Fifty-four pure Iberian pigs individually housed were allocated to a 3 × 3 factorial arrangement with three sex groups (IC males, IC females and SC males), three diets (153, 137 and 119 g CP/kg DM; 14 MJ metabolisable energy/kg DM) and six pigs per treatment combination. Pigs were vaccinated at 18 weeks of age (40 kg BW) and seven weeks later (70–80 kg BW) and fed at 0.9 × ad libitum on BW basis. Two digestibility and nitrogen balance assays were performed before and after the second vaccination, respectively. Pigs were slaughtered at 105 kg BW. Before the second vaccination, Iberian IC males showed higher growth rate (g/day), feed efficiency, NR (g/day) and efficiency of NR than the other groups (P < 0.001). The NR and efficiency of NR was 40% greater in IC v. SC males (P < 0.001). After the second vaccination, no differences in performance between sex groups were detected (P > 0.05). Growth rate and feed efficiency were higher in IC males than in the other groups for the whole experimental period (from the first vaccination to slaughter; P < 0.001). After the second vaccination, differences among sex groups in NR and the efficiency of NR disappeared (P > 0.05). NR efficiency was 0.177 on average. No significant effects of dietary CP were detected on performance. The NR was greater in pigs fed the 153 CP diet (17 to 37%; P > 0.05). Lean components of carcass (sirloin, loin and butt lean) were greater in IC males than in the other groups (0.001 < P < 0.05). There were no significant sex group × dietary CP interactions. Iberian IC males grew at higher rate, deposited more protein, and more efficiently, than Iberian SC males before the second vaccination against GnRH. Iberian IC females showed similar growth performance to SC males and intermediate protein deposition efficiency between IC and SC males. Despite the higher growth performance, protein deposition rate, and efficiency of protein deposition of IC males v. SC males, no significant differences in amino acid requirements were detected between them.  相似文献

Cyclophosphamide (CP), an alkylating agent widely used in cancer chemotherapy causes cardiac membrane damage. Lupeol, a pentacyclic triterpene, isolated from Crataeva nurvala stem bark and its ester, lupeol linoleate possess a wide range of medicinal properties. The effect of lupeol and its ester was evaluated in CP induced alterations in cardiac electrolytes in rats. Male albino rats of Wistar strain were categorized into 6 groups. Group I served as control. Rats in groups II, V and VI were injected intraperitoneally with a single dose of CP (200 mg/kg body weight) dissolved in saline. CP treated groups V and VI received lupeol and lupeol linoleate (50 mg/kg body weight) respectively, dissolved in olive oil for 10 days by oral gavage. At the end of the experimental period, urinary risk factors, activities of ATPases and electrolytes were measured using standard procedures. CP administered rats showed a significant decrease (P < 0.001) in the activities of ATPases. It was associated with significant alterations (P < 0.001) of electrolytes both in serum and cardiac tissue. The levels of urea, uric acid and creatinine were also significantly (P < 0.001) altered in the serum and urine. Lupeol and its ester showed reversal of the above alterations induced by CP. These findings demonstrate that the supplementation with lupeol and its ester could preserve membrane permeability, highlighting their protective effect against CP induced cardiotoxicity.  相似文献

The yawns and penile erection elicited in rats by apomorphine (100 micrograms/kg SC) are dose-dependently suppressed by the enkephalinase-resistant analog of NT, [D-Trp11]NT, intracerebroventricularly (ICV) injected (10-120 ng per rat). This antagonistic effect was shared by NT (0.75-3 micrograms per rat) administered ICV. The yawns induced by pilocarpine (2 mg/kg IP) were similarly antagonized by [D-Trp11]NT (30-120 ng per rat). The enkephalinase inhibitor acetorphan (5 mg/kg IV) reduced in a naloxone (2 mg/kg, SC)-resistant manner the apomorphine-induced penile erection or yawning.  相似文献

We evaluated the antimutagenic effect of Letinula edodes (Berk.) Pegler (Shiitake) on the frequency of micronuclei in mice treated with N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea (ENU) or cyclophosphamide (CP). Mice were orally (gavage) pretreated for 15 consecutive days with solutions of Shiitake (0.6 ml per day, gavage) prepared at three different temperatures: 4, 21 (RT), and 60 degrees C. Then, the animals were intraperitoneally injected on day 15 with CP (25 or 50mg/kg) or ENU (50 mg/kg) and killed 24 or 48 h after treatment for evaluation of micronucleated polychromatic erythrocytes (MNPCEs) in bone marrow and micronucleated reticulocytes (MNRETs). A mixture of L. edodes lineages (LE 95/016, 96/14, 96/17, 96/22, 96/23, 97/27, and 97/28) significantly decreased the frequencies of MNPCEs and MNRETs induced by CP (25 and 50mg/kg). When a single lineage from the mixture (LE 96/17) was tested we also found a significant reduction in the frequencies of MNPCEs and MNRETs induced by both CP or ENU (50mg/kg). The comet assay was also performed 3h after ENU treatment using mice pretreated with the single lineage (LE 96/17) of L. edodes. The results showed a high degree of variability with some indications of an antigenotoxic effect. Taken together, our data show that solutions from Shiitake inhibit in vivo mutagenicity of CP and ENU.  相似文献

Hyper-prolific sows nurse more piglets than less productive sows, putting a high demand on the nutrient supply for milk production. In addition, the high production level can increase mobilization from body tissues. The effect of increased dietary protein (104, 113, 121, 129, 139 and 150 g standardized ileal digestible (SID) CP/kg) on sow body composition, milk production and plasma metabolite concentrations was investigated from litter standardization (day 2) until weaning (day 24). Sow body composition was determined using the deuterium oxide dilution technique on days 3 and 24 postpartum. Blood samples were collected weekly, and milk samples were obtained on days 3, 10 and 17 of lactation. Litter average daily gain (ADG) peaked at 135 g SID CP/kg (P < 0.001). Sow BW and back fat loss reached a breakpoint at 143 and 127 g SID CP/kg (P < 0.001). Milk fat increased linearly with increasing dietary SID CP (P < 0.05), and milk lactose decreased until a breakpoint at 124 g SID CP/kg and 5.3% (P < 0.001) on day 17. The concentration of milk protein on day 17 increased until a breakpoint at 136 g SID CP/kg (5.0%; P < 0.001). The loss of body protein from day 3 until weaning decreased with increased dietary SID CP until it reached a breakpoint at 128 g SID CP/kg (P < 0.001). The body ash loss declined linearly with increasing dietary SID CP (P < 0.01), and the change in body fat was unaffected by dietary treatment (P=0.41). In early lactation (day 3 + day 10), plasma urea N (PUN) increased linearly after the breakpoint at 139 g SID CP/kg at a concentration of 3.8 mmol/l, and in late lactation (day 17 + day 24), PUN increased linearly after a breakpoint at 133 g SID CP/kg (P < 0.001) at a concentration of 4.5 mmol/l. In conclusion, the SID CP requirement for sows was estimated to 135 g/kg based on litter ADG, and this was supported by the breakpoints of other response variables within the interval 124 to 143 g/kg.  相似文献

Effects of the use of three different soyabean products (soya concentrate and two different soyabean meals), peas or rapeseed hulls in the diet on the apparent ileal digestibility of CP (N × 6.25) and recovery of ileal endogenous nitrogen (N) in weanling pigs were investigated. Ileal endogenous N was measured using the 15N-isotope dilution method. Thirteen castrated male pigs (BW of 12–23 kg) were fed maize starch-based diets containing either soya concentrate (SC), purified rapeseed hulls (pRH) and SC (SRH diet), soyabean meal (SBM), a mixture of toasted and untoasted soyabean meal (mSBM) or peas. The apparent ileal digestibility (AID) of dry matter (DM) for the SC, SRH, SBM, mSBM and pea diets was 82.1, 74.3, 83.3, 80.0 and 74.9% (P < 0.05), respectively. The AID of CP for these diets was 82.4, 67.6, 81.6, 68.0 and 76.9% (P < 0.05), respectively. Similar differences in the AID for amino acids (AA) in the diets were found. The AID for CP and for the sum of AA in the pRH, as calculated by the difference between the SC and SRH diet, were 26 and 41%, respectively. For the SC, SRH, SBM, mSBM and pea diet, ileal recovery (g/kg of DM intake) for endogenous N were 2.79, 3.46, 2.73, 4.89 and 3.29 (P < 0.05), respectively, and for dietary N 1.16, 4.11, 1.64, 4.15 and 2.53 (P < 0.05), respectively. For the SC, SBM and mSBM diets, differences in AID of CP and AA were associated with differences in both the ileal recovery of endogenous N and the recovery of undigested dietary N. Differences in trypsin inhibitor activity (TIA) of the soya products were likely associated with these observations. It was also concluded that fibre (Neutral Detergent Fibre; NDF) in pea could be at least in part responsible for the relatively low AID of CP and AA and the high recovery of ileal endogenous N in the pea diet. The low AID of CP and AA of pRH was likely related to the association of protein to the fibre matrix in the fibre-rich rapeseed hulls.  相似文献

Systemic administration of angiotensin II (AII) to the rat has previously been shown to induce a dose-dependent, hypothermic response manifested by a fall in colonic temperature (CT), a decrease in heat production and an increase in tail skin temperature (TST). The factors mediating AII-induced hypothermia and their site of action were the subjects of the present investigation. To this end, intracerebroventricular administration of 1 microgram of AII induced a 0.4 degrees C reduction in CT and a 2.4 degrees C increase in TST. In contrast, SC administration of 200 micrograms angiotensin III/kg induced a slight increase in CT but had no affect on TST. Pretreatment with the AII-receptor antagonist, saralasin, at either 1 or 10 micrograms/kg, SC did not affect either the fall in CT or the increase in TST induced by administration of 200 micrograms AII/kg, SC. However, the administration of 100 micrograms saralasin/kg, SC attenuated both the fall in CT and the increase in TST induced by either 100 or 200 micrograms AII/kg. Since both the presynaptic alpha adrenoceptor agonist, clonidine, and the opioid antagonist, naloxone, modulate the pressor and dipsogenic responses to AII, their effects on AII-induced hypothermia were tested. Both clonidine (25 micrograms/kg, SC) and naloxone (1 mg/kg, IP) enhanced the fall in CT. Clonidine lengthened the duration of the increase in TST while naloxone had no effect. Pretreatment with the presynaptic adrenoceptor antagonist, yohimbine (300 micrograms/kg, SC), did not alter the hypothermic response to administration of AII. A 2 × 2 factorial experiment was performed to investigate the interaction between a high- and low-crude-protein (CP) diet (200 v. 140 g/kg) and inulin supplementation (0 v. 12.5 g/kg) on nutrient digestibility, nitrogen (N) excretion, intestinal microflora, volatile fatty acid (VFA) concentration and manure ammonia emissions from 24 boars (n = 6, 74.0 kg live weight). The diets were formulated to contain similar concentrations of digestible energy and lysine. Pigs offered the high-CP diets had a higher excretion of urinary N (P < 0.001), faecal N (P < 0.01) and total N (P < 0.001) than the pigs offered the low-CP diets. Inulin supplementation increased faecal N excretion (P < 0.05) and decreased the urine N : faeces N ratio (P < 0.05) compared with the inulin-free diets. There was no effect (P > 0.05) of dietary treatment on N retention. There was an interaction (P < 0.05) between dietary CP concentration and inulin supplementation on caecal Enterobacteria spp. Pigs offered the diet containing 200 g/kg of CP plus inulin decreased the population of Enterobacteria spp. compared to those with the inulin-supplemented 140 g/kg CP diet. However, CP level had no significant effect on the population of Enterobacteria spp. in the unsupplemented diets. Inulin supplementation increased caecal Bifidobacteria (P < 0.01) compared with the inulin-free diets. There was no effect of inulin supplementation on VFA concentration or intestinal pH (P > 0.05). Pigs offered the 200 g/kg CP diets had higher (P < 0.05) manure ammonia emissions from 0 to 240 h of storage than pigs offered the 140 g/kg CP. In conclusion, inulin supplementation resulted in an increase in Bifidobacteria concentration and a reduction in Enterobacteria spp. at the high CP level indicating that inulin has the ability to beneficially manipulate gut microflora in a proteolytic environment.  相似文献

Summary Kittens fed diets containing 0.75 × the NRC (1986) essential amino acid requirement (EAArq) and 210 to 560g crude protein(CP)/kg diet exhibited, with increasing CP: 1) decreasing weight gain, 2) decreasing plasma arginine concentrations, 3) increasing urinary orotic acid excretion, 4) increasing plasma glutamic acid concentrations, and 5) plasma isoleucine concentrations at levels that suggest a marginal isoleucine deficiency. Kittens fed a control diet (CD) containing 1.5 × EAArq and 350 g CP/kg diet had maximal weight gains and no orotic aciduria. It was concluded that the decreased weight gain and adverse metabolic effects were caused by arginine deficiency and possibly glutamic acid toxicity induced by high dietary dispensable amino acids. Kittens fed the diets containing 1.0 × EAArq and 350 and 560 g CP/kg diet had depressed plasma arginine and elevated glutamic acid concentrations and orotic aciduria. These results indicate that 10 g arg/kg diet is not adequate at CP concentrations above 280 g/kg and the calculated requirement of arginine is (0.02 g arginine/g CP) × (Y g CP/kg diet) + (4.0 g arginine/kg diet) where Y is the dietary CP level.Abbreviations CD control diet - CP crude protein (g CP/kg diet = g nitrogen/kg diet × 6.25) - DAA dispensable amino acids - EAA essential amino acids - EAArq essential amino acid requirement  相似文献

Cyclophosphamide (CP) is a widely used antineoplastic drug, which could cause toxicity of the normal cells due to its toxic metabolites. In this study, the protective role of squalene (SQ) towards the tissue defense system in the toxicity induced by CP (150 mg/kg b.w., twice, in 2 consecutive days) was studied in the experimental rats. The significant (P < 0.05) alterations in the levels of enzymic [superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione-S-transferase (GST) and glutathione reductase (GR)] and non-enzymic antioxidants [total reduced glutathione (GSH), Vitamin E (Vit.E), Vitamin C (Vit.C) and ceruloplasmin] of the heart, red blood cell (RBC) hemolysate and plasma were investigated in the CP toxicity. Alterations in the levels of thiobarbutric acid reactive substance (TBARS) in heart, RBC hemolysate and plasma were also observed as a measure of lipid peroxidation (LPO). These pathological alterations due to CP administration were attenuated by the oral treatment of SQ at a dose of 0.4 ml/day/rat. These observations demonstrate the protective role of SQ towards the tissue defense system of the rats in the CP induced toxicity.  相似文献

Cyclophosphamide (CP) has potential urotoxicity such as hemorrhagic cystitis (HC). 2-Mercaptoethane sulfonate (mesna) has been widely used as an effective agent against CP-induced cystitis, but significant HC has still been encountered clinically. In recent studies, mesna was shown to be more effective if combined with antioxidants. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of antioxidants, alpha-tocopherol, beta-carotene and melatonin on CP-induced bladder damage in rats, even if used without mesna administration. Male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 180-210 g were divided into 5 groups. Four groups received a single dose of CP (100 mg/kg) intraperitoneally with the same time intervals. Group 2 received CP only, group 3 received beta-carotene (40 mg/kg/day), group 4 received alpha-tocopherol (40 mg/kg/day) and group 5 received melatonin (10 mg/kg/day) both before and the day after CP injection. Group 1 served as control. Bladder histopathology, as well as malondialdehyde (MDA) and iNOS levels, and excretion of nitrite-nitrates (NO(x)) in urine were evaluated. CP injection resulted in severe histological changes and macroscopic hematuria. alpha-Tocopherol and melatonin showed meaningful protection against bladder damage. Protection by beta-carotene was also significant but weaker. MDA levels increased significantly with CP injection and all antioxidants ameliorated this increase in bladder tissue. CP also elevated the NO(x) level in urine and iNOS activity in bladder. Only melatonin was able to decrease these parameters. In conclusion, there is no doubt that oxidants have a role in the pathogenesis of CP-cystitis. Antioxidants, especially melatonin and alpha-tocopherol, may help to ameliorate bladder damage induced by CP.  相似文献

Two experiments in a 2 x 2 factorial arrangement were conducted to evaluate the effect of crude protein (CP) (130 vs. 200 g/kg) and phosphorus (P) (4.0 vs. 6.0 g total P/kg) level in a phytase supplemented diet (500 FTU [phytase units]/kg) in grower-finisher pigs. Owing to the design of the experiment, as dietary P level increased, there was also an increase in dietary calcium (Ca) level in order to maintain a dietary Ca to P ratio of 1.6:1. In Experiment 1, four diets were fed to 56 pigs (n = 14, initial body weight [BW] 36.7 +/- 4.2 kg) to investigate the interaction between CP and P on growth performance, bone mineralisation and digesta pH. Experiment 2 consisted of 16 entire male pigs (n = 4; offered identical diets to that offered in Experiment 1) for the determination of total tract apparent digestibility and nitrogen (N), P and Ca utilisation. There was an interaction between CP and P level on bone ash, bone P and bone Ca concentrations (p < 0.05). Pigs offered low CP-low P diets had a higher bone ash, P and Ca concentrations than pigs offered high CP-low P diets. However, there was no effect of CP level at high P levels on bone ash, P and Ca concentrations. Pigs offered low P diets had a lower ileal pH compared with pigs offered high P diets (p < 0.05). In conclusion, offering pigs a high CP-low P, phytase-supplemented diet resulted in a decrease in bone mineralisation.  相似文献

Summary We investigated the efficacy of intrapleurally (IPl) injected 0.25 mg Corynebacterium parvum (CP) against pulmonary tumor deposits of four syngeneic murine tumors, C3Hf/Bu or CBA fibrosarcoma (FSa) or mammary carcinoma (MCa), and compared its efficacy with that of intravenous (IV) CP. A mode of action of CP given by IPl administration was also studied. When given to mice prior to the IV inoculation of tumor cells, IPl and IV CP reduced the number of metastases of C3Hf/Bu-FSa and CBA-MCa equally well. Intrapleural injection of CP within a week after tumor cell inoculation was more effective against metastases in the lung than IV CP. A combination of IPl and IV administration of CP was more effective in the therapy of lung metastases of CBA-FSa and CBA-MCa than either single treatment alone. Intrapleural and IV injections of CP augmented concomitant immunity to artificially produced lung metastases of C3Hf/Bu-FSa. Intrapleural CP was less effective than IV CP in inducing complete regression of the SC growing C3Hf/Bu-FSa.In contrast to IV CP, IPl CP did not markedly influence the spleen weight and cellularity. It was also less effective in increasing the liver weight. However, CP by either route of injection led to a significant increase in the lung weight. CP injected IPl, but not IV, caused a significant increase in the number of nucleated cells in the pleural cavity of mice. More than 90% of these cells were macrophages, and they were found to be cytotoxic for in vitro cultures of CBA-MCa cells. Activated macrophages also mediated in vivo antitumor resistance, as shown by the abolition of this resistance by treatment of the mice with carrageenan.  相似文献

Regarding the structural and functional importance of the peritubular tissue for the maintenance of Sertoli cells (SC), we purpose to investigate the SC-basement membrane interface, focusing the morphological features of SC and their interaction with the basement membrane in the affected tubules by cimetidine. Ten animals were distributed into two groups, control (CG) and cimetidine (CmG) which received saline solution and 50 mg of cimetidine per kg of body weight, respectively, for 52 days. The testes were fixed, dehydrated and embedded for analyses under light and transmission electron microscopy. Paraffin sections were submitted to the TUNEL method; sections of testes embedded in glycol methacrylate were submitted to PAS method and stained by H&E for morphological and quantitative analyses of Sertoli Cells. In the CmG, the SC nuclei were positive to the TUNEL method and showed typical morphological alterations of cell death by apoptosis (from early to advanced stages). A significant reduction in the number of Sertoli Cells was probably due to death of these cells by apoptosis. A close relationship between SC nuclear alterations (including a high frequency of dislocated nuclei from the basal portion) and damage in the peritubular tissue was observed. The ultrastructural analysis showed a parallelism between the gradual advancement of apoptotic process in SC and detachment of the anchoring sites (hemidesmosomes) of SC plasma membrane from the lamina densa. The presence of portions of lamina densa underlying the detached hemidesmosomes indicates a continuous deposition of lamina densa, resulting in the thickening of the basal lamina. The results indicate a possible disarrangement of the SC cytoskeleton, including the focal adhesion structure. These alterations are related to SC apoptosis and probably result from disturbs induced by cimetidine on the peritubular tissue.  相似文献

The effects of recombinant human granulocyte CSF (rhG-CSF) on cyclophosphamide (CP)-induced tolerance was studied. In the recipient C57BL/10 Sn Slc (B10) mice given 1 x 10(8) B10.BR Sg Sn Slc (B10.BR) spleen cells (SC) on day -2 followed by 200 mg/kg CP on day 0, the number of leukocytes and neutrophils in the periphery declined to their minimum levels on day 4. When rhG-CSF in a dose of 200 micrograms/kg was given daily for 5 days to the B10 mice, which had been treated with B10.BR SC and CP, starting one day after the administration of CP, the leukocyte and neutrophil counts declined to the same levels as those in the B10 mice treated with B10.BR SC and CP alone on day 2. On day 4, however, the counts recovered to their normal levels. The nucleated cell count of the spleen in the B10 mice given B10.BR SC and CP followed by rhG-CSF decreased less and recovered faster than that in the B10 mice given B10.BR SC and CP. The case was found to be the same in bone marrow, and the difference did not reach statistical significance. When the recipient mice were inoculated i.p. with 4 x 10(4) Pseudomonas aeruginosa (GNB-139) on day 4, the survival of the B10 mice treated with B10.BR SC and CP was markedly improved by rhG-CSF administration. The administration of rhG-CSF did not affect either the prolongation or the specificity of skin allograft survival, as shown in an H-2 mis-matched combination of B10.BR----B10 and in an H-2 identical combination of AKR/J Sea(AKR)----C3H/HeN Crj (C3H). The tolerant state, which was demonstrated by various immune responses, such as CTL, delayed footpad reaction, and antibody, was also not affected by rhG-CSF. Furthermore, the basic mechanisms for inducing a long-lasting skin allograft tolerance in this system--namely, the specific destruction of Ag-stimulated and then proliferating mature T cells in the periphery, the establishment of mixed chimerism, and the intrathymic clonal deletion of immature T cells--were preserved even when rhG-CSF was given to C3H mice previously made tolerant of AKR.  相似文献

The objective of this meta-analysis was to develop empirical equations predicting growth responses of growing cattle to protein intake. Overall, the data set comprised 199 diets in 80 studies. The diets were mainly based on grass silage or grass silage partly or completely replaced by whole-crop silages or straw. The concentrate feeds consisted of cereal grains, fibrous by-products and protein supplements. The analyses were conducted both comprehensively for all studies and also separately for studies in which soybean meal (SBM; n=71 diets/28 studies), fish meal (FM; 27/12) and rapeseed meal (RSM; 74/35) were used as a protein supplement. Increasing dietary CP concentration increased (P<0.01) BW gain (BWG), but the responses were quantitatively small (1.4 g per 1 g/kg dry matter (DM) increase in dietary CP concentration). The BWG responses were not different for bulls v. steers and heifers (1.4 v. 1.3 g per 1 g/kg DM increase in dietary CP concentration) and for dairy v. beef breeds (1.2 v. 1.7 g per 1 g/kg, respectively). The effect of increased CP concentration declined (P<0.01) with increasing mean BW of the animals and with improved BWG of the control animals (the lowest CP diet in each study). The BWG responses to protein supplementation were not related to the CP concentration in the control diet. The BWG responses increased (P<0.05) with increased ammonia N concentration in silage N and declined marginally (P>0.10) with increasing proportion of concentrate in the diet. All protein supplements had a significant effect on BWG, but the effects were greater for RSM (P<0.01) and FM (P<0.05) than for SBM. Increasing dietary CP concentration improved (P<0.01) feed efficiency when expressed as BWG/kg DM intake, but decreased markedly when expressed as BWG/kg CP intake. Assuming CP concentration of 170 g/kg BW marginal efficiency of the utilisation of incremental CP intake was only 0.05. Increasing dietary CP concentration had no effects on carcass weight, dressing proportion or conformation score, but it increased (P<0.01) fat score. Owing to limited production responses, higher prices of protein supplements compared with cereal grains and possible increases the N and P emissions, there is generally no benefit from using protein supplementation for growing cattle fed grass silage-based diets, provided that the supply of rumen-degradable protein is not limiting digestion in the rumen.  相似文献
