在广东省曲江县新发现的两个仙湖苏铁种群,是继深圳市塘朗山种群后在广东省发现该物种的新野 生种群。对其种群结构及繁育系统的研究结果表明,曲江县的两个仙湖苏铁种群分布区域极狭窄(仅600 m2),个体数很少,而且由于人为破坏,数量还在减少;年龄结构呈倒金字塔形,开花植株数少,且缺少雄株,种 子不能萌发成幼苗;这些现状表明这两个种群处于严重濒危状态,急需保护。  相似文献

There are five wild populations of Cycas fairylakea in Guangdong Province, China, three of which are newly found. A study of the biological characteristics of C. fairylakea populations showed that this species had a narrow colonization area within 300 hm2, and an island pattern of distribution. Because of the overexploitation, urbanization, environment pollution, plant diseases, and insect pests, the wild populations and individuals of C. fairylakea decreased markedly in the past decades. All five populations have an opposite pyramid age structure, few coning plants, few seed production, and low level of seed germination rate or sterility. In conclusion, C. fairylakea in Guangdong Province was threatened seriously and an urgent need to take effective efforts to protect the plants and habitats in its location sites was required.  相似文献

广东省国家I级重点保护野生植物资源现状及保护策略   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
在查找史料的基础上,根据国家重点保护植物名录(第一批),确定了在广东有分布的仙湖苏铁、银杏、南方红豆杉、合柱金莲木、伯乐树、报春苣苔、水松、异形玉叶金花和台湾苏铁9种国家I级重点保护植物作为调查对象,在全省开展了较为全面的调查。结果只找到了前6种,植株数量合计为123468株。除仙湖苏铁和报春苣苔分布地点没有变化外,其他7种的分布地点丧失率在20%-100%之间。除南方红豆杉基本上属于正常种群外,其余8种分属于野外绝迹、濒临绝迹或濒危类物种,其资源状况堪忧。在对其资源现状进行详细分析的基础上,提出了相应的保护管理策略和发展措施。  相似文献

为了解广西横县野生种子植物区系特征,对横县野生种子植物进行了调查分析。结果表明,广西横县有野生种子植物1 269种,隶属于163科658属,以被子植物占优势,而裸子植物则贫乏。在科属种组成上,以大科、区域单型属和少型属为主;生活型组成反映亚热带常绿阔叶林群落特征,藤本植物种类丰富。种子植物地理成分均以热带成分为主,兼备亚热带和温带成分。与邻近地区相比较,横县种子植物区系与广东紫金县相似性较高,区系成分组成则与广东新会区、紫金县相近。因此,横县地区野生种子植物种类丰富,热带性质明显,呈热带至亚热带过渡性质,起源古老,具有一定特有现象,与广东地区联系密切。  相似文献

根据苏铁类植株体残存的营养叶叶基数、开花痕数以及生长单元发生率等茎干特征, 建立了仙湖苏铁种群年龄判断方法,计算出该种群年龄. 进一步采用年龄结构图、年龄分布 曲线和曲线估计等方法,从基株和无性系水平探讨了仙湖苏铁种群的年龄结构特征.年龄结构 图显示,仙湖苏铁无性系种群为稳定种群,基株种群为衰退种群;年龄分布曲线和曲线估计结 果则表明仙湖苏铁无性系和基株种群均为衰退种群. 综合3种方法的分析结果,仙湖苏铁 种群为衰退种群,必须采取一定措施予以保护.  相似文献

采用生态位宽度和生态位重叠探讨仙湖苏铁群落优势种群的生态位特征。结果表明,群落中生态位宽度大的优势种群,对其它种群的生态位重叠大,而生态位宽度小的种群对生态位宽度大的种群的生态位重叠不一定大;如果2个种群生态位宽度相近,则存在着较大的生态位重叠。优势种之间生态位重叠大,由于存在资源竞争,导致群落组成和结构发生变化从而影响群落的演替发展。相同的物种对在不同层次其生态位重叠水平不一致,从林下层到立木层,物种对的生态位重叠程度降低。仙湖苏铁种群与立木层中生性树种的生态位重叠大,由于植株高度的差异,它们之间可能存在着促进而非竞争关系,因此调整群落林分组成,使群落向着以中生性树种为优势种的方向发展,也许是促进仙湖苏铁种群恢复和发展的有利措施。  相似文献

在野外调查及查阅相关资料的基础上,对广东从化陈禾洞省级自然保护区植物区系进行研究。结果表明:(1)该区植物资源丰富,共有野生维管植物193科627属1139种(包括种下等级)。其中,蕨类植物36科66属119种,裸子植物7科8属9种,被子植物150科528属1011种(双子叶植物130科417属838种,单子叶植物20科111属173种)。(2)该区种子植物科、属优势现象明显,以菊科Asteraceae、禾本科Poaceae及茜草科Rubiaceae为主。在科属的组成上较为分散,主要以少寡种的科、属为主,分别占67.88%、91.7%。(3)该区蕨类植物在属的组成上也较为分散,以5个种以下的属为主,占比为93.94%。(4)该区植物区系成分复杂,在科级水平上,种子植物有8个分布区类型及5个变型,热带分布类型成分有80个科,占总科数的50.96%,而蕨类植物有5个分布区类型,热带成分的科有23个,占蕨类总科数的63.89%;在属级水平上,种子植物有13个分布区类型及16个变型,热带成分有365属,占总属数的68.10%,而蕨类植物有7个类型及1个变型,热带分布类型成分有40属,占蕨类植物总属数的60.61%。  相似文献

Introgression between transgenic, insect-resistant crops and their wild relatives could lead to a progressive increase of the frequency of resistant plants in wild populations. However, few studies help predict the impact on the population dynamics. To simulate the performance of introgressed insect-resistant plants of wild Brassica juncea, independently from the interspecific hybridization cost, healthy plants were cultivated in pure and mixed stands with damaged plants through cutting leaves in field experiments over two field seasons. As expected, resistant (healthy) plants held a competitive advantage when in competition with susceptible (damaged) plants. Individual biomass and seed production of both types of plants decreased as the percentage of resistant plants increased, so that the relative advantage of resistant plants increased. The combined effects of defoliation and competition on the individual performance of B. juncea were additive. Replacement series experiments confirmed this trend but did not show different seed output in pure stand of susceptible versus resistant plots. The total vegetative and reproductive production of mixed populations was not significantly different of that of pure populations. These results suggest that if a transgene for insect-resistance were to colonize wild populations, high herbivory of susceptible plant and low resource availability would facilitate the spread of resistant individuals. However, at the population level, the shift from an insect-susceptible to a predominantly resistant population would not result in exacerbated habitat colonization.  相似文献

基于对国家Ⅱ级重点保护野生植物厚叶木莲(Manglietia pachyphylla)部分产地的野外实地考察,并结合相关文献、数据库的分析考证,综述其分类学地位、产地与生境、标本记录、研究进展及致危因素。厚叶木莲自1961年发表以来,迄今已有50多年,其分布区范围从最初认为的广东特有,到与广西共有,其中广东新丰云髻山省级自然保护区的厚叶木莲种群因数量较多,分布较北及海拔较高而颇具特色。因广东省内的厚叶木莲种群多属于衰退种群,需加强就地保护、迁地保护、科学研究及宣传教育。  相似文献

Seed banks are an important component of many plant populations, but few empirical studies have investigated the genetic relationship between soil seeds and surface plants. We compared the genetic structure of soil seeds and surface plants of the desert mustard Lesquerella fendleri within and among five ecologically diverse populations at the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge in Central New Mexico. At each site, 40 Lesquerella surface plants and 40 samples of soil seeds were mapped and genetically analyzed using starch gel electrophoresis. Overall allele frequencies of soil seeds and surface plants showed significant differences across the five populations and within three of the five individual populations. Surface plants had significantly greater amounts of single and multilocus heterozygosity, and mean surface plant heterozygosity was also greater at the total population level and in four of the five individual populations. Overall soil seed (bot not surface plant) homozygosity was significantly greater than predicted by Hardy-Weinberg expectations at the total and individual population levels. Although F-alpha estimates revealed similarly small but significant genetic divergence within each life-history stage, estimates of coancestry showed that fine-scale (0.5-2 m) genetic correlations among the surface plant genotypes were roughly twice those of soil seed genotypes. An unweighted pair group method with arithrnetic mean cluster analysis indicated that in the two geographically closest sites, the surface plants were slightly more genetically similar to each other than to their own respective seed banks. We also found weak and/or negative demographic associations between Lesquerella soil seed and surface plant densities within each of the five sites. We discuss the difficulties involved with sampling and genetically comparing these two life-history stages.  相似文献

Weedy plants with intermediate (domesticated × wild) phenotypes occur in most pearl millet fields in West Africa, even in the absence of wild populations. They are usually found, in high numbers, both inside and outside of drills. Questions pertaining to the evolutionary dynamics of diversity within the pearl millet complex (domesticated–weedy–wild forms) were addressed in this study. The diversity of the different components of this complex sampled in two pearl millet fields in two villages of southwestern Niger was assessed at both molecular (AFLP) and morphological levels. Results show that, in both fields, weedy plants found outside of drills are morphologically distinct from weedy plants found inside drills, despite their close similarity at AFLP markers. The data suggest some introgression from the wild to the weedy population but nevertheless that the gene flow between the parapatric wild and domesticated populations is very low. This challenges the traditional view that regular hybridization between domesticated and wild pearl millets explains the abundance of these weedy plants despite farmers’ seed selection. The level of genetic differentiation between fields from the two villages was low when considering domesticated and weedy plants. This could be explained by high gene flow resulting from substantial seed exchanges between farmers. The fact that it is very difficult for farmers to keep their own selected seeds, and the consequent substantial seed exchanges between them, is probably the main factor accounting for the maintenance and dispersal of weedy pearl millets in the region, even in areas where no wild forms have been observed.C.  分析了我国河北省野生大豆天然种群几个重要数量性状的群体结构特征及其地理生态分布。结果显示:平均种群内变异系数大小顺序依次为:百粒重(46%)>脂肪含量(17%)>开花期(10.3%)>蛋白质含量(4.7%)。种群平均开花期与纬度有相关性,而百粒重、脂肪和蛋白质含量分布与纬度没有相关,与种群的生态和遗传背景有关。种群内每个数量性状分布都存在一个优势区段。种群内数量性状存在因基因频率积累程度的不同而导致表型差异较大的遗传型个体。虽然同一个居群长期受到相同光周期诱导,但是种群不是有单一相近的开花期,存在着开花光周期反应不同的基因型。地理种群结构相似性分析表明:河北省天然野生大豆种群结构相似性与地理生态有密切相关性,存在地理生态群。  相似文献

Fungal endophytes of grasses are often included in agricultural management and in ecological studies of natural grass populations. In European agriculture and ecological studies, however, grass endophytes are largely ignored. In this study, we determined endophyte infection frequencies of 13 European cultivars and 49 wild tall fescue (Schedonorus phoenix) populations in Northern Europe. We then examined seed production and seed predation of endophyte-infected (E+) and endophyte-free (E?) tall fescue (in wild grass populations and in a field experiment) and meadow fescue (Schedonorus pratensis; in a field experiment only). Endophytes were detected in only one of the 13 cultivars. In contrast, >90% of wild tall fescue plants harbored endophytes in 45 wild populations but were absent in three inland populations in Estonia. In three wild tall fescue study sites, 17%, 22%, and 56% of the seeds were preyed upon by the cocksfoot moth. Endophyte infection did not affect seed mass of tall fescue in the field experiment. However, seed predation was lower in E+ than E? grasses in the two tall fescue populations with higher predation rates. For meadow fescue, the mean number of seeds from E+ plants was higher than E? plants, but E? and E+ seeds had equal rates of predation by the moth. Our results suggest that the effects of grass endophytes on seed production and cocksfoot moth seed predation vary considerably among grass species, and the effects may depend on herbivore pressure and other environmental conditions.  相似文献

The movement of pollen between crop and wild sunflowers (both Helianthus annuus) has led to concerns about the possible introduction of crop transgenes into wild populations. The persistence of crop traits in wild populations will depend in part on the relative fitness of crop-wild hybrid vs. wild plants. Using seeds from two large experimental field plots, we found that seeds produced by crop-wild plants were twice the size of wild seeds and differed in coloration. Head diameter, date of flowering, identity of mother plant, and levels of predispersal predation explained some variation in mean seed size. We hypothesized that postdispersal vertebrate seed predation would be affected by seed size, with hybrid seeds preferentially eaten. In each of three field trials, significantly more hybrid seeds were eaten (62% of hybrid seed; 42% of wild seed). Within the category of wild seeds, larger seeds were preferentially eaten; however among hybrid seeds, predation was not significantly related to seed size. In this study, differential predation thus reduces hybrid fitness and would presumably slow the spread of transgenes into wild populations.  相似文献

Gene flow from crops to wild related species has been recently under focus in risk-assessment studies of the ecological consequences of growing transgenic crops. However, experimental studies addressing this question are usually temporally or spatially limited. Indirect population-structure approaches can provide more global estimates of gene flow, but their assumptions appear inappropriate in an agricultural context. In an attempt to help the committees providing advice on the release of transgenic crops, we present a new method to estimate the quantity of genes migrating from crops to populations of related wild plants by way of pollen dispersal. This method provides an average estimate at a landscape level. Its originality is based on the measure of the inverse gene flow, i.e. gene flow from the wild plants to the crop. Such gene flow results in an observed level of impurities from wild plants in crop seeds. This level of impurity is usually known by the seed producers and, in any case, its measure is easier than a direct screen of wild populations because crop seeds are abundant and their genetic profile is known. By assuming that wild and cultivated plants have a similar individual pollen dispersal function, we infer the level of pollen-mediated gene flow from a crop to the surrounding wild populations from this observed level of impurity. We present an example for sugar beet data. Results suggest that under conditions of seed production in France (isolation distance of 1,000 m) wild beets produce high numbers of seeds fathered by cultivated plants. The fitness of crop-wild hybrids can influence gene flow between crop and wild populations. Seed predation levels in crop-wild hybrid plants can be an important factor in determining plant fitness, especially in large-seeded crops such as sunflower. To determine patterns of pre-dispersal seed predation, seeds were collected from wild sunflowers (Helianthus annuus L.) and wild×crop F1 hybrids at three experimental field sites in eastern Kansas. Seed heads were dissected and each seed was counted and scored for categories of seed damage by lepidopteran and coleopteran larvae. Hybrid seed heads showed significantly higher levels of insect-damaged seeds. The average hybrid plant had 36.5% of its seeds (or 45.1 seeds per plant) eaten by insect larvae while the average wild plant lost only 1.8% (or 95 seeds) to seed predators. Hybrid populations had higher levels of total insect damage even when date of flowering, flower head diameter, and the number of open heads within the study site were accounted for. These results suggest that the reduced fecundity of F1 crop-wild sunflower hybrids demonstrated in other studies may be augmented by the increased seed predation in hybrid flower heads. Fecundity estimates of crop-wild hybrid and wild plants that disregard differential seed predation levels may not accurately reflect the actual relative contributions of hybrid and wild plants to future generations.
