A low temperature-assisted and oxalyl dihydrazide fuel-induced combustion synthesized series of uncalcined MgAl2O4:Eu3+ nanophosphors showed an average crystallite size of ~20 nm, and bandgap energy (Eg) of 4.50–5.15 eV, and were validated using density functional theory and found to match closely with the experimental values. The photoluminescence characteristic emission peaks of Eu3+ ions were recorded between 480 and 680 nm. The nanophosphors excited at 392 nm showed f–f transitions assigned as 5D07FJ (J = 0, 1, 2, and 3). The optimized MgAl2O4 phosphors had Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage coordinates in the red region, a correlated colour temperature of 2060 K, and a colour purity of 98.83%. The estimated luminescence quantum efficiency ( η) was observed to be ~63% using Judd–Ofelt analysis. Electrochemical and photocatalytic performance were explored and indicated its multifunctional applications. Therefore, MgAl2O4:Eu3+ nanophosphors could be used for the fabrication of light-emitting diodes, industrial dye degradation, and as electrodes for supercapacitor applications.  相似文献

A series of controllable emissions SrWO4:Eu3+ and charge‐compensated SrWO4: (m = 0.01 or 0.20) phosphors was successfully prepared via a simple co‐precipitation method. The energy transfer mechanism was studied based on the Huang's theory. A low magnitude of Huang‐Rhys factor (10?2) was calculated using phonon sideband spectra. The Judd–Ofelt parameters Ωλ (λ = 2, 4 and 6) of Eu3+‐activated SrWO4 doped with charge compensation were obtained. The calculated Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage chromaticity coordinates were found to be about (0.67, 0.33) for SrWO4: and charge‐compensated SrWO4: phosphors, which coincided with the National Television Standard Committee system standard values for red. A white light emission was obtained under 362 nm excitation. The correlated color temperature was computed by a simple equation to characterize light sources. Thus, warm white light‐emitting diodes with higher Ra can be constructed by combining as‐prepared high efficiency, low correlated color temperature and high color purity phosphor.  相似文献

Dy3+-doped CaY2Al4SiO12 phosphors were prepared using the sol–gel method. X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and energy dispersive spectroscopy analyses (EDS) were used to analyse the crystal structure, morphology, and elemental composition of the prepared samples. The luminescence behaviour of the sample was investigated using photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) techniques. The prepared CaY2Al4SiO12:xDy3+ phosphor showed a characteristic blue and yellow emission at ~480 and 583 nm, respectively, with an excitation wavelength of 350 nm. The most intense PL emission was found for a 4 mol% doping concentration of Dy3+ ions. The CIE diagram of the phosphor showed bluish-white colour emission. For TL studies, the prepared phosphors were irradiated with a 60Co γ (gamma) source and the TL glow curve of the CaY2Al4SiO12:0.04Dy3+ phosphor showed three overlapped peaks. For the Gaussian peaks, Chen's peak shape method was applied to determine the kinetic parameters of the samples.  相似文献

LiCaBO3:Dy3+/Eu3+ phosphors were synthesized by a solid‐state reaction. The synthesized materials were characterized using powder X‐ray diffraction pattern (XRD) for confirmation. All the structural parameters were calculated from the XRD data. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images showed rod‐like morphology. Photoluminescence (PL) emission spectra showed two emissions (484 and 577 nm) in Dy3+‐doped LiCaBO3:Dy3+phosphors with the concentration quenching effect and the critical distance was calculated to be about 22.76 Å. LiCaBO3:Eu3+ phosphor was effectively excited by a near‐UV light of 392 nm. The emission spectra exhibited the transition from 5D0 level to 7FJ (J = 0–2) with main emission at 614 nm, which comes from the electrodipole transition because of the asymmetric point group. The quenching concentration of Eu3+ is about 0.2 mol%, and the critical distance was calculated to be about 38.93 Å. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Ca2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,Dy3+ phosphor was prepared by the solid‐state reaction method under a weak reducing atmosphere. The obtained phosphor was characterized using X‐ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDX) and Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR) techniques. The phase structure of the Ca2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,Dy3+ phosphor was akermanite type, which is a member of the melilite group. The surface morphology of the sintered phosphor was not uniform and phosphors aggregated tightly. EDX and FT‐IR spectra confirm the elements present in the Ca2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,Dy3+ phosphor. Under UV excitation, a broadband emission spectrum was found. The emission spectra observed in the green region centered at 535 nm, which is due to the 4f–5d transition. The mechanoluminescence (ML) intensity of the prepared phosphor increased linearly with increases in the mechanical load. The ML spectra were similar to the photoluminescence (PL), which indicates that ML is emitted from the same emitting center of Eu2+ ions as PL. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Dy3+ and CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Ce3+ phosphors were synthesized using the solid‐state reaction method. X‐Ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence (PL) analyses were used to characterize the phosphors. The XRD results revealed that the synthesized CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Dy3+ and CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Ce3+ phosphors were crystalline and are assigned to the monoclinic structure with a space group C2/c. The calculated crystal sizes of CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Dy3+ and CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Ce3+ phosphors with a main (221) diffraction peak were 44.87 and 53.51 nm, respectively. Energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDX) confirmed the proper preparation of the sample. The PL emission spectra of CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Dy3+ and CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Ce3+ phosphors have a broad band peak at 444.5 and 466 nm, respectively, which is due to electronic transition from 4f65d1 to 4f7. The afterglow results indicate that the CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Dy3+ phosphor has better persistence luminescence than the CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Ce3+ phosphor. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Fluorescence (FL) quenching of 3-aminoquinoline (3AQ) by halide ions Cl Br and I has been explored in an aqueous acidic medium using the steady-state and time-domain FL measurement techniques. The halide ions showed no significant change in the absorption spectra of 3AQ in an aqueous acidic medium. The FL intensity was strongly quenched by I ions and the order of FL quenching by halide ions was I > Br > Cl . The decrease in FL lifetime along with the reduction in FL intensity of 3AQ suggested the dynamic nature of quenching. The obtained K SV values were 328 M 1 for I ions and 119 M 1 for Br ions and the k q values were ~ 1.66 × 10 10 M 1 s 1 and 6.02 × 10 9 M 1 s 1 , respectively. The observations suggested that the likely governing mechanism for FL quenching may be an electron transfer process and the involvement of the heavy atom effects.  相似文献

Long persistence phosphor CaAl4O7: Eu2+, Dy3+ were prepared by a combustion method. The phosphors were characterized by means of X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), decay time measurement techniques and photoluminescence spectra (PL). The CaAl4O7: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor showed a broad blue emission, peaking at 445 nm when excited at 341 nm. Such a blue emission can be attributed to the intrinsic 4f → 5d transitions of Eu2+ in the host lattices. The lifetime decay curve of the Dy3+ co‐doped CaAl4O7: Eu2+ phosphor contains a fast decay component and another slow decay one. Surface morphology also has been studied by SEM. The calculated CIE colour chromaticity coordinates was (0.227, 043). We have also discussed a possible long‐persistent mechanism of CaAl4O7:Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor. All the results indicate that this phosphor has promising potential for practical applications in the field of long‐lasting phosphors for the purposes of sign boards and defence. A new A–π–D–π–A phenothiazine derivative, 2,2′‐((10‐octyl‐10H‐phenothiazine‐3,7‐diyl)bis (ethene‐2,1‐diyl))bis(1‐ethyl‐3,3‐dimethyl‐3H‐indol‐1‐ium)iodide (PTZ‐BEI) was prepared and fully characterized using infra‐red (IR), 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), 13C NMR, ultraviolet–visible light and mass spectra. Electronic spectra of PTZ‐BEI solutions in solvents with different polarities displayed absorption bands (λmax) related to intramolecular charge transfer. In addition, the emission spectra of PTZ‐BEI solutions were strongly solvent dependent for both wavelength and intensity. Stokes’ shift ( increased with increasing solvent polarity up to 4105 cm?1 in the most polar solvent, dimethylformamide. The linear solvation‐energy relationship was utilized to investigate solvent dependency of the Stokes’ shifts. Relative quantum yield (φ ) of PTZ‐BEI was calculated. Finally, density functional theory was employed at the B3LYP level for geometrical optimization and simulation of electron spectra for the PTZ derivative in gaseous and solvated states to explore the solvent effect.  相似文献

Strontium sulphate (SrSO4) is a defect-based photoluminescence material, generally used in thermoluminescence applications, and has been studied for infrared (IR) stimulated visible emission. The SrSO4 particles were synthesized using a precipitation method. The orthorhombic phase of SrSO4 was confirmed from the X-ray diffraction pattern and the formation of micron-sized particles was authenticated from field emission scanning electron micrographs. The elemental composition of oxygen and strontium was determined using energy-dispersive X-ray analysis measurement that confirmed the presence of V O and V Sr intrinsic defects in the material. Photoluminescence investigations showed the presence of various defect bands in the band gap giving rise to intrinsic luminescence in SrSO4. The emission in the visible region was attributed to the defect band arising due to V O . Photoluminescence lifetime measurement confirmed the presence of stable defect states with a lifetime in microseconds. The SrSO4 sample was tested using IR lasers and a red–orange emission spot was observed from the powder sample when excited with IR lasers. The underlying principle for IR-to-visible conversion in the material is a defect-mediated phenomenon that has been described through the energy level diagram of the material.  相似文献

Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+ and Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,Dy3+ long afterglow phosphors were synthesized under a weak reducing atmosphere by the traditional high temperature solid state reaction method. The synthesized phosphors were characterized by powder X‐ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDX), and photo‐, thermo‐ and mechanoluminescence spectroscopic techniques. The phase structure of the sintered phosphor was an akermanite type structure, which belongs to tetragonal crystallography. The thermoluminescence properties of these phosphors were investigated and compared. Under ultraviolet light excitation, the emission spectra of both prepared phosphors were composed of a broad emission band peaking at 470 nm. When the Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+ phosphor was co‐doped with Dy3+, the photoluminescence (PL), afterglow and mechanoluminescence (ML) intensity were strongly enhanced. The decay graph indicated that both the sintered phosphors contained fast decay and slow decay processes. The ML intensities of Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+ and Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+,Dy3+ phosphors were increased proportionally with increasing impact velocity, a finding that suggests that these phosphors could be used as sensors to detect the stress of an object. Photoinduced electron transfer (PET) is the most common mechanism proposed to account for quenching of fluorophores. Herein, the intrinsic fluorescence of dapoxetine (DPX) hydrochloride is in the “OFF” state, owing to the deactivation effect of PET. When the amine moiety is protonated, the fluorescence is restored. Protonation of the nitrogen atom of the tertiary amine moiety in DPX leads to “ON” state of fluorescence due to hindrance of the deactivating effect of PET by protonation of the amine moiety. This permits specific and sensitive determination of DPX in human plasma [lower limit of quantification (LLOQ) = 30.0  ng mL 1 ]. The suggested method adopts protonation of DPX using 0.25 M hydrochloric acid in anionic micelles [6.94 mM sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)] leads to a marked enhancement of DPX-fluorescence, after excitation at 290 nm.  相似文献

We report the photoluminescence characterization of Dy3+‐activated NaM4(VO4)3 (M = Ca, Ba, Sr) phosphors prepared by a solid‐state method. The synthesis was confirmed by X‐ray diffraction (XRD) characterization and photoluminescence (PL) emission results showed sharp blue and yellow bands for NaM4(VO4)3 (M = Ca, Ba, Sr):Dy3+ phosphors at the excitation wavelength of 323 nm, which is near‐UV excitation. Thus, these phosphors could be applicable for near‐UV excited solid‐state lighting devices. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Dysprosium ion (Dy3+) activated Ba2CaZn2Si6O17 phosphors were synthesized using high temperature solid‐state reaction method. Powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD) analysis confirmed the phase formation of the as‐prepared phosphors. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis disclosed an agglomeration of particles with an irregular morphology. Under 350 nm excitation, the emission spectrum of Dy3+ ions showed bands at 481 nm (blue), 577 nm (yellow) and 674 nm (red). The influence of the Dy3+ concentration on its emission intensity was investigated. The optimum concentration of Dy3+ ions in the Ba2CaZn2Si6O17:Dy3+ phosphors were found to be x = 0.06. The critical energy transfer distance was calculated. The fluorescence lifetime was also determined for Ba2CaZn2Si6O17:0.06Dy3+. The Commission International deI’Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates of the phosphor were calculated to be x = 0.304, y = 0.382. The activation energy for the thermal quenching was calculated to be 0.168 eV. These results indicated that the Ba2CaZn2Si6O17:Dy3+ phosphor might be a potential candidate for near ultraviolet (NUV)‐based white light‐emitting diodes.  相似文献

Tropical and subtropical forest biomes are a main hotspot for the global nitrogen (N) cycle. Yet, our understanding of global soil N cycle patterns and drivers and their response to N deposition in these biomes remains elusive. By a meta-analysis of 2426-single and 161-paired observations from 89 published 15 N pool dilution and tracing studies, we found that gross N mineralization (GNM), immobilization of ammonium ( I NH 4 ) and nitrate ( I NO 3 ), and dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium (DNRA) were significantly higher in tropical forests than in subtropical forests. Soil N cycle was conservative in tropical forests with ratios of gross nitrification (GN) to I NH 4 (GN/ I NH 4 ) and of soil nitrate to ammonium (NO3/NH4+) less than one, but was leaky in subtropical forests with GN/ I NH 4 and NO3/NH4+ higher than one. Soil NH4+ dynamics were mainly controlled by soil substrate (e.g., total N), but climatic factors (e.g., precipitation and/or temperature) were more important in controlling soil NO3 dynamics. Soil texture played a role, as GNM and I NH 4 were positively correlated with silt and clay contents, while I NO 3 and DNRA were positively correlated with sand and clay contents, respectively. The soil N cycle was more sensitive to N deposition in tropical forests than in subtropical forests. Nitrogen deposition leads to a leaky N cycle in tropical forests, as evidenced by the increase in GN/ I NH 4 , NO3/NH4+, and nitrous oxide emissions and the decrease in I NO 3 and DNRA, mainly due to the decrease in soil microbial biomass and pH. Dominant tree species can also influence soil N cycle pattern, which has changed from conservative in deciduous forests to leaky in coniferous forests. We provide global evidence that tropical, but not subtropical, forests are characterized by soil N dynamics sustaining N availability and that N deposition inhibits soil N retention and stimulates N losses in these biomes.  相似文献

The CaAlBO4:RE (RE = Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3+) phosphor were prepared via combustion synthesis and studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), photoluminescence (PL) spectra and CIE coordinates. The phase formation of the obtained phosphor was analyzed by XRD and the result was confirmed by standard PDF Card No. 1539083. XRD data successfully indicated pure phase of CaAlBO4 phosphor. The crystal structure of CaAlBO4 phosphor is orthorhombic with space group Ccc2 (37). The SEM image of CaAlBO4 phosphor reveals an agglomerated morphology and non-uniform particle size. The EDS image provides evidence of the elements present and the chemical makeup of the materials. Under the 350 nm excitation, the emission spectrum of Dy3+ activated CaAlBO4 phosphor consists of two main groups of characteristic peaks located at 484 and 577 nm which are ascribed to 4F9/26H15/2 and 4F9/26H13/2 transition of Dy3+ respectively. The PL emission spectra of CaAlBO4:Eu3+ phosphor shows characteristics bands observed around 591 and 613 nm, which corresponds to 5D07F1 and 5D07F2 transition of Eu3+ respectively, upon 395 nm excitation wavelength. The emission spectra of Sm3+ activated CaAlBO4 phosphor shows three characteristic bands observed at 565, 601 and 648 nm which emits yellow, orange and red color. The prominent emission peak at the wavelength 601 nm, which is attributed to 4G5/26H7/2 transition, displays an orange emission. The CIE color coordinates of CaAlBO4:RE (RE = Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3+) phosphor are calculated to be (0.631, 0.368), (0.674, 0.325) and (0.073, 0.185). As per the obtained results, CaAlBO4:RE (RE = Dy3+, Eu3+, Sm3+) phosphor may be applicable in eco-friendly lightning technology.  相似文献

A novel phosphor LiBaPO4 doped with rare earths Eu and Dy prepared by high temperature solid‐state reaction method is reported. The phosphors were characterized by X‐ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and photoluminescence (PL). The emission and excitation spectra of these materials were measured at room temperature with a spectrofluorophotometer. The excitation spectra of LiBaPO4:Eu3+ phosphor can be efficiently excited by 394 nm, which is matched well with the emission wavelength of near‐UV light‐emitting diode (LED) chip. PL properties of Eu3+‐doped LiBaPO4 exhibited the characteristic red emission coming from 5D07 F1 (593 nm) and 5D07 F2 (617 nm) electronic transitions with color co‐ordinations of (0.680, 0.315). The results demonstrated that LiBaPO4:Eu3+ is a potential red‐emitting phosphor for near‐UV LEDs. Emission spectra of LiBaPO4:Dy3+ phosphors showed efficient blue (481 nm) and yellow (574 nm) bands, which originated from 4 F9/26H15/2 and 4 F9/26H13/2 transitions of the Dy3+ ion, respectively. The 574 nm line is more intense than the 481 nm lines, which indicates that the site Dy3+ is located with low symmetry. This article summarizes fundamentals and possible applications of optically useful inorganic phosphates with visible photoluminescence of Eu3+ and Dy3+ ions. KBaPO4 luminescent powdered phosphors doped with rare earth elements (RE = Sm3+,Eu3+,Dy3+) were successfully synthesized using a wet chemical method to identify the most suitable phosphor for solid‐state lighting based on the measurement of their emission spectra at excitation wavelengths. The X‐ray diffraction pattern of the as‐prepared KBaPO4 was well matched with its standard JCPDS file no. 330996, indicating the formation of the desired compound. Scanning electron microscopy images revealed irregular morphology, the material crystallized particles aggregated and were non‐uniform with particle sizes ranging from 1 to 100 μm. Photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra clearly indicated that the phosphor containing the Sm3+‐activated KBaPO4 phosphors could be efficiently excited at 403 nm and exhibited an emission mainly including two wavelength peaks at 559 nm and 597 nm. The phosphor containing the Eu3+‐activated KBaPO4 phosphors could be efficiently excited at 396 nm and exhibited a bright red emission mainly including two wavelength peaks at 594 nm and 617 nm. The phosphor containing the Dy3+‐activated KBaPO4 phosphors could be efficiently excited at 349 nm and exhibited wavelength peaks at 474 nm and 570 nm.  相似文献

A series of single‐phase phosphors based on Na6Mg(SO4)4 (Zeff = 11.70) doped with Dy and Eu was prepared by the wet chemical method. The photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) properties of Dy3+‐ and Eu3+‐activated Na6Mg(SO4)4 phosphors were investigated. The characteristic emissions of Dy3+ and Eu3+ were observed in the Na6Mg(SO4)4 host. The TL glow curve of the Na6Mg(SO4)4:Dy phosphor consisted of a prominent peak at 234°C and a very small hump at 158°C. The TL sensitivity of the Na6Mg(SO4)4:Dy phosphor was found to be four times less than the commercialized CaSO4:Dy phosphor. The TL dose–response of the Na6Mg(SO4)4:Dy phosphor was studied from a dose range of 5–10 kGy and the linear dose–response was observed up to 1 kGy which is good for a microcrystalline phosphor. Trapping parameters for both the samples were calculated using the Initial Rise and Chen's peak shape methods.  相似文献

In this article, photoluminescence (PL) and thermoluminescence (TL) properties of ZrO2, ZrO2:Dy3+, ZrO2:Dy3+–Gd3+, ZrO2:Dy3+–Yb3+, ZrO2:Dy3+–Er3+, and ZrO2:Dy3+–Sm3+ phosphors synthesized by the Pechini method were investigated. The crystal structure, thermal properties, morphology, PL and TL properties were investigated using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), differential thermal analysis/thermogravimetric analysis (DTA/TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), PL and TL, respectively. The room temperature emission bands corresponding to 4F9/2 → 6HJ (J = 9/2, 11/2, 13/2 and 15/2) transitions of Dy3+ ions were measured. The phosphors were analysed using TmTSTOP, variable dose, and computerized glow curve fitting methods. Reusability, dose–response, and fading characteristics were investigated. The phosphors have a natural TL emission that vanished by heating treatment. Moreover, new peaks with similar properties to the natural emissions were observed after high-dose irradiation and long-term fading experiments. The glow curves of the phosphors have 13 individual peaks and many low- and high-temperature satellite peaks. The origin of the peaks is ZrO2 host material and doping with rare-earth ions (Gd3+, Dy3+, Yb3+, Er3+ and Sm3+) does not lead to a new glow peak. The dopants cause drastic changes in individual peak intensities of ZrO2.The initial fading rates of all the phosphors are relatively fast, but they slow down as time goes on.  相似文献
