PurposeRadioimmunotherapy (RIT) is a new treatment option for patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Response to RIT currently remains difficult to predict using conventional prognostic factors and could be refined using functional imaging. The goal of this work is to evaluate the value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) in predicting response to yttrium 90-labeled monoclonal antibodies for patients with NHL.MethodThirty-five patients with NHL who had undergone 18F-FDG PET prior to RIT with either 90Y-ibritumomab tiuxetan or 90Y-epratuzumab tetraxetan were included in this retrospective study. Four functional criteria (SUVmax, SUVmean, volume and the product of the volume and the SUVmean-TLG-) were analyzed on a per-lesion basis.ResultsA total of 154 lesions were analysed. The per-lesion analysis revealed significant differences (P < 0.05) between responders and non-responders for several criteria and above all for the SUV.ConclusionOur results suggest a predictive role of 18F-FDG PET prior to RIT by giving a useful indication of the radiosensitivity of the lymphoma.  相似文献

The final modifications that the spermatozoa undergo correspond with the destabilization of their plasma membrane. This indispensable step facilitates the fusion of membranes and primes the signal transduction during fertilization. This destabilization is composed of a series of changes and modulation of the lipids in membranes such as cholestérol, phospholipids and glycolipids. Several differences exist in the lipid composition of the plasma, acrosome, nuclear and mitochondrial membranes of spermatozoa. The principal membrane phospholipids are phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl ethanolamine and sphingomyelin. Plasma membrane of sperm is also rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) linked to phospholipids. Such as C18∶2n?6, C20∶4n?6 and large amounts of docosahexaenoic acid (C22∶6n?6). The amount of membrane lipids in human sperm varies considerably between patients. This variation, could influence certain functional properties of the sperm cells such as their ability to undergo capacitation, the acrosome reaction and the fusion between sperm and oocyte membranes. The lipid composition of the human sperm cell can be altered during the process of freezing-thawing. A significant decrease in phospholipids (phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl ethanolamine), and PUFA in particular docosahexaenoic acid and arachidonic acid was observed. Human spermatozoa have a molar cholestérol/phopholipid ratio ≤1.0, and reduces during capacitation due to loss of cholestérol. In addition, the decrease in the levels of cholestérol and the methylation of phospholipids is involved in the modification of membrane fluidity and in the maturation of the sperm plasma membrane receptors. Therefore it seems that the methylation is important for the fusion between sperm and oocyte membranes. Intrinsic sperm phospholipase A2 also plays a role in the destabilization of the plasma membrane by producing of lysophospholipid. Therefore this enzyme and free fatty acids are believed to play a role in the acrosome reaction, an indispensable event facilitating the fusion between sperm and oocyte membranes.  相似文献

Subtle motor, emotional, cognitive and behavioural abnormalities are often present in apparently healthy children and adolescents who later develop schizophrenia. This suggests that some aspects of causation are established long before psychosis becomes manifest. We aim to assess the factors contributing to the development of schizophrenia focusing mainly on genetic factors, pregnancy and delivery complications, early development and scholastic performance, as well as later educational, social and health consequences. BackgroundOur aim was to assess the feasibility of early acquisition (10 min) gated single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) by comparison to conventional imaging at one hour.Methods and resultsOne hundred and four patients referred for exercise test and SPECT were included. Sequential imaging was started 10 min (SPECT 10) and 60 min (SPECT 60) after injection of the radiotracer (Tc-99m sestamibi). Stress myocardial perfusion was visually analyzed from 10 to 60 min stress by two experienced nuclear-cardiologists. Six patients were further excluded, because of high digestive accumulation: one patient at 10 min, three at 10 and 60 min, two at rest. The participants were classified as follows: group G1 (normal SPECT 10 and 60, n = 53), group G2 (abnormal SPECT 10 and/or SPECT 60, n = 45). The left ventricle ejection fraction (EF) and volumes (end-systolic and end-diastolic volumes, ESV, EDV) were calculated with the Cedars-Sinai program.ResultsQuality imaging was the same at SPECT 10 min and SPECT 60 min. Perfusion scores: G1 10 min = 0,4 versus G1 60 min = 0,4 (p = NS); G2 10 min = 10,2 versus G2 60 min = 10,1 (p = NS); EFG1 10 min = 71 ± 11% versus EFG1 60 min = 68 ± 10% (p = 4E-04); EFG2 10 min = 56 ± 15% versus EFG2 60 min = 53 ± 15% (p = 0,002); EDV G1 10 min = 72 ± 20 ml versus EDV G1 60 min = 76 ± 19 (p = 0,002); EDV G2 10 min = 98 ± 46 ml versus EDV G2 60 min = 105 ± 38 (p = 0,08); ESVG1 10 min = 22 ± 12 m versus ESV G1 60 min = 25 ± 12 (p = 9E-04); ESVG2 10 min = 47 ± 35 ml versus ESV G2 60 min = 53 ± 36 (p = 3E-04).ConclusionsThis study suggests that early gated Sestamibi SPECT after stress provides same perfusion analysis than classical late imaging.  相似文献

PurposeThe objective of this study was to retrospectively evaluate the impact of positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) using fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG), in comparison with conventional imaging modalities (CIM), for initial staging and early therapy assessment in paediatric rhabdomyosarcoma.Patients and methodsPrior to treatment, 18 patients (age range, 9 months to 18 years) with histologically proven rhabdomyosarcoma underwent FDG PET/CT in addition to CIM (magnetic resonance imaging of primary site, whole body CT and bone scintigraphy). After three courses of chemotherapy, 12 patients underwent FDG PET/CT in addition to CIM. RECIST criteria and visual analysis of FDG uptake were used for assessment of response. The standard of reference was determined by an interdisciplinary tumor board based on imaging material, histopathology and follow-up data (median = 5 years).ResultsPET/CT sensitivity was superior to CIM's concerning lymph node involvement (100% versus 83%, respectively) and metastases detection (100% versus 50%, respectively). PET/CT results changed therapeutic management in 11% of cases. After three courses of chemotherapy, the rate of complete response was 66% with PET/CT versus 8% with CIM. Five percent of patients relapsed during follow-up (median = 5 years).ConclusionThis study confirms that PET/CT depicts important additional information in initial staging of paediatric rhabdomyosarcomas and suggests a superior prognostic value of PET/CT in early response to chemotherapy assessment.  相似文献

Summary 4-day cyclic adult female Wistar rats were injected subcutaneously with testosterone propionate on diestrus 1 at 16:00 and on diestrus 2 at 10:00 respectively. Non-injected females served as controls. Autopsy was performed on diestrus 2 at 23:00, and on proestrus at 14:00 and 17:00 respectively. The blue Alcian-PAS staining was used to evidence FSH () and LH () pituitary cells.In control animals and in diestrus 2 injected females only a small number of FSH cells could be detected on diestrus 2 at 23:00. This number increased markedly on proestrus at 14:00 and decreased on proestrus at 17:00. A similar evolution was observed in diestrus 1 testosterone injected females, but the number of FSH cells appeared higher at any stage of autopsy in these females than in diestrus 2 injected females and in control rats.In control females, numerous LH cells were observed on diestrus 2 at 23:00. The number of these cells was diminished on proestrus at 14:00 and still more at 17:00. On the contrary few LH cells were detected in testosterone injected females on the evening of diestrus 2. An increase of these cells occurred on proestrus at 14:00, followed at 17:00 by only a weak diminution as established by comparison with control animals.An inhibition of FSH release and a suppression of the proestrus surge of LH were therefore supposed to cause, on one hand, the slowing up of follicular growth observed in diestrus 1 injected females and, on the other hand, the blockage of ovulation noted in both diestrus 1 and diestrus 2 treated animals.

The Upper Pleistocene in Tunisia is characterized by cyclic climatic alternations between rainy and arid phases. The steppic landscape occupies a large area of the country, in particular in the Centre and the South. Even during the humid phases, the savannah landscape still dominant. The Upper Pleistocene prehistoric sites in Tunisia, such as Oued el Akarit, Aïn Mhrotta, Oued el Bey, El Guettar, Aïn Métherchem and Aïn el Guettar, which are the subject of this study, are all open-air sites, located mainly in Central and southern Tunisia, usually to the south of the springs that are still functioning today, or on the border of the wadis from which their names derive. Prehistoric occupations and human behavior are mainly subject to the climatic shifts occurred during the Upper Pleistocene.  相似文献

Résumé Le présent travail expose quelles sont les réactions de la cellule végétale lorsque cette dernière est soumise à l'association d'un toxique et d'un « mouillant » (Netzmittel).Les variables sont: la nature de la cellule végétale, celle du toxique et celle du mouillant.Alors que les mouillants cationiques, eux-mêmes toxiques, exercent une simple action additive, les mouillants anioniques révèlent dans de nombreux cas une synergie de toxicité. Celle-ci se manifeste surtout avec les champignons et les bactéries Gram+, les végétaux supérieurs se montrant indifférents. Cette synergie varie également avec la structure moléculaire du mouillant.Les mouillants non ioniques peuvent au contraire exercer une action antagoniste, c'est-à-dire diminuer la toxicité.Ce dernier phénomène se produit dans certains cas à la suite d'une réaction chimique entre le mouillant et le toxique; la nature de la cellule est alors indifférente. Dans d'autres cas, il y a absence de réaction chimique et le phénomène ne se produit qu'avec certains types de cellules (champignons surtout).La nature chimique du toxique joue, dans la synergie, un rôle moins important que dans l'antagonisme.Des hypothèses sont formulées pour tenter d'élucider le mécanisme des cas de synergie et d'antagonisme.  相似文献

La phase pré-analytique est celle de tous les dangers, en particulier lorsque le biologiste n’a pas la ma?trise du recueil de l’échantillon et de son acheminement au laboratoire. En hémostase thrombose, elle est essentielle. Les paramètres pré-analytiques sont d’importance inégale selon les différents examens et leur retentissement peut varier d’un réactif à l’autre et selon les patients. De fait, il existe un risque de rendre un résultat erroné, même avec une technique irréprochable, ainsi qu’un problème de responsabilité technico-légale. La littérature sur les conditions pré-analytiques est pauvre et de nouvelles études sont nécessaires, même si elles sont difficiles à mener et peuvent para?tre de peu d’intérêt. En réalité, leur utilité est aujourd’hui indéniable, en raison notamment du regroupement des laboratoires.  相似文献

Résumé Les granulations qui constituent les structures les plus primitives de la plaque cellulaire contiennent des enzymes hydrolytiques caractéristiques pour les sphérosomes de la cellule végétale; la plupart de ces enzymes sont présentes dans les lysosomes de la cellule animale. Dans les granulations de la plaque cellulaire nous avons constaté l'activité des enzymes suivantes: estérases non spécifiques, lipases, phosphatases acide et alcaline, aryl-sulfatase, désoxyribonucléase acide et probablement-glucuronidase. Le caractère chimique et morphologique de ces granulations, ainsi que leur équipement enzymatique correspondent aux sphérosomes.Dans la littérature les images de la cytocinèse au microscope électronique étant divergentes, le problème de l'origine et de la nature des granulations en question ne peut pas être pour le moment totalement résolu.
Zusammenfassung Die Körnchen, die die ursprünglichen Strukturen der Zellplatte bilden, enthalten die hydrolytischen Enzyme, die für die Sphärosomen der pflanzlichen Zelle und meistens für die Lysosomen der tierischen Zelle charakteristisch sind. Es sind die folgenden Enzyme: Esterasen (nicht spezifisch), Lipasen, saure Phosphatase, Aryl-sulfatase, saure Desoxyribonuklease und-Glukuronidase. Außerdem enthalten diese Körnchen die alkalische Phosphatase. Der morphologische und chemische Charakter dieser Körnchen und ihr enzymatischer Inhalt entsprechen den Sphärosomen.Wegen großer Unterschiede der in der Literatur vorhandenen Beschreibungen der Zellplatte in elektronenmikroskopischen Bildern kann das Problem der Entstehung und der Natur dieser Körnchen zur Zeit nicht völlig entschieden werden.
