The indices of the zooplankton of various waterbodies and watercourses of the Great Lakes Depression (Mongolia) are analyzed. The maximum quantity of zooplankton is registered in freshwater bodies. Irrespective of the waterbody type, the greatest number and biomass of zooplankton are recorded in the littoral zone, where communities are characterized by a high abundance of rotifers, including the indicator species of eutrophic waters. This indicates a high degree of organic load from the catchment area. In comparison with the data obtained by the end of 1970s, the zooplankton biomass decreased with a concomitant increases in the shares of rotifers and cladocerans. These changes are most pronounced in the freshwater ecosystem. The quantitative development of the zooplankton of watercourses depends on the character of the river head, the location of sampling stations along the watercourse’s channel, and the water current velocity.  相似文献

The typology of temporary waterbodies in Saratov oblast has developed with a similarity in the composition of zooplankton species that serve as its foundation. Seven waterbody groups have been distinguished: waterbodies of flood lands, river valley terraces, steppe watersheds, brackish lagoons, brackish lagoons connected to irrigation networks, excavated ponds, and puddles. The specificity of zooplankton species composition in different types of temporary waterbodies is shown. A significant influence of waterbody lifetime on the number of zooplankton species has been revealed, with the waterbody capacity and surface area in the period of maximal water level also being of great importance.  相似文献

To assess the relative importance of lake chemistry, morphometry and zoogeography on limnetic zooplankton, we collected zooplankton, water, and morphometric data from 132 headwater Canadian Shield lakes in 6 regions across north-central Ontario. A subset of these lakes (n = 52) were fished with gill nets. We clustered lakes based on their zooplankton species composition (presence/absence). Discriminant analysis was employed to determine how well lake characteristics could predict zooplankton community types. Correct classification of zooplankton communities for three models ranged from 72 to 91%. Lake size, lake location, and buffering capacity were ranked as the most important factors separating lake groups. Fish abundance (CPUE) was not significant in distinguishing between zooplankton communities. Though the range of lake sizes was limited (1–110 ha), larger lakes tended to support more species. Lake location (zoogeography) also influenced species composition patterns. Although Algoma lakes tended to be larger (\-x = 18.0 ha, other lakes \-x = 2.5 ha), they supported relatively depauperate zooplankton communities. Buffering capacity was ranked third in the discriminant analysis models, but pH and alkalinity were not significantly different between lake groups.  相似文献

SUMMARY 1. Forest logging and wildfires are important perturbations of the boreal forest, but their effects on lake biota remain largely unknown. Here, we test whether zooplankton species richness and species assemblages differed among three groups of lakes in Eastern Canada characterised by different catchment conditions: logged in 1995 ( n =9); burnt in 1995 ( n =9); unperturbed ( n =20). Lakes were sampled in June, July and September 1 year after catchment perturbations.
2. Cumulative species richness in reference lakes averaged 46 (33–60) of which 63% were rotifers. Mean cumulative species richness and mean diversity in logged and burnt lakes did not differ from those in reference lakes.
3. Lake species assemblages were described by the density of 62 species (41 rotifers and 21 crustaceans). Among-group differences in species assemblages were not significant. Eighteen per cent of the total variability in species assemblages could be explained by 13 environmental factors, among which dissolved oxygen concentration and cyanobacteria biovolume were the most important. About 5% of species assemblage variability was attributed to covariation between environmental factors and time of sampling, while 4.1% was attributed to temporal variation.
4. Variations in zooplankton species richness and assemblages in Boreal Shield lakes are important, both among lakes and among sampling dates. They seem to depend on environmental factors unrelated to catchment-based perturbations, at least on the short-term of 1 year.  相似文献

More than ten new zooplankton species were registered in reservoirs of the Upper Volga during 2002–2005. Since 2003, the cladoceran Diaphanosoma orghidani Negrea, had intensively settled in different biotopes of Ivankovo, Uglich, Rybinsk, and Sheksna reservoirs and is the most abundant (16 000 ind./m3) in the latter one. The rotifer Asplanchna henrietta Langh. was found for the first time in Rybinsk Reservoir in 1985, and by 2004, this species had also occurred in Ivankovo, Uglich reservoirs, Lake Nero, and some small waterbodies of the basin. In Lake Nero its density reaches especially high values (>1 million ind./m3). Causes, mechanisms, and ecological consequences of the expansion of new zooplankton species are discussed.  相似文献

A total of 127 species of stoneflies, dayflies, caddisflies, and chironomids were found in the lakes and small watercourses of the Northern and Pre-Polar Urals. The highest species diversity (78 species) and number were the characteristics of chironomids. Along with widely distributed species, Siberian and Arctic species were revealed in the fauna. The Arctic stonefly Capnia zaicevi Klap and 24 chironomid species were found for the first time on the territory of Komi Republic. Lists of registered insect species and data on their occurrence, abundance, and biomass are given.  相似文献

An annotated list of chironomid species from some waterbodies and watercourses of Mongolia identified by an imaginal developmental stage is presented. The list includes 97 species of 39 genera and 5 subfamilies: Tanypodinae (6 species), Diamesinae (1), Prodiamesinae (2), Orthocladiinae (33), and Chironominae (55). Of all found chironomid imagos, 11 species have been earlier identified for the Mongolian fauna, the other 86 species have been registered for the first time. The largest number of species has been recorded in Lake Sangiyn-Dalai—28; in Lake Ugiy and River Ider—19 species. In the rest of the lakes, the number of recorded species varies from 18 to 10 species, and in rivers, from 13 to 2. Most of the species are boreal and widespread. The number of Paleoarctic species amounts to 44 and Holarctic species amounts to 49.  相似文献

于1999年枯水期(2—3月份)、丰水期(8月份)、2000年枯水期(2—3月份)对长江河口浮游动物采样调查,研究了长江河口浮游动物的种类组成、群落结构及多样性并初步探讨了三峡工程对长江河口浮游动物的影响及长江河口水环境的生物监测。调查共发现浮游动物87种,甲壳动物占绝对优势,共59种。在所有浮游动物中挠足类31种。其次为水母类,有9种,此外,枝角类、毛颚类各8种。3次采样浮游动物的优势种主要有河口半咸水种和近岸低盐种类如华哲水蚤(Sinocalanus sinensis)、火腿许水蚤(Schmackeria poplesia)、虫肢歪水蚤(Tortanus vermiculus),真刺唇角水蚤(Labidocera euchaeta)等,还有长江径流带到河口的淡水种如近领剑水蚤(Cyclops vicinus vicinus)、英勇剑水蚤(Cyclops strenuus)、透明溞(Daphnia hyalina)等。一些浮游动物可作为水系指示种,其分布、数量反映了不同水系分布变化,长江河口浮游动物有;类水系指示种。通过对长江河口浮游动物群落聚类分析发现。1999、2000年枯水期浮游动物群落结构相似。可分为河口类群、近岸类群和近外海类群。1999年丰水期只形成近岸和近外海类群。浮游动物种类数由口门内向口门外方向有逐渐增加的趋势。浮游动物种类数由北向南变化趋势一致。大潮与小潮、涨憩与落强等潮汐作用对浮游动物影响往往因采样时间与区域等的不同而不同。对长江河口3次采样的物种多样性指数和均匀度指数进行了计算,结果表明:浮游动物多样性指数1999年枯水期最低,1999年丰水期最高。  相似文献

南麂列岛海洋自然保护区浮游动物的物种组成及其多样性   总被引:16,自引:0,他引:16  
南麂列岛海洋自然保护区是我国首批五个海洋类自然保护区之一。作者根据2004年5月至2005年2月南麂列岛海域的4个季节的调查数据,分析了该区域浮游动物的种类组成、优势种类、生态类群与物种多样性等特征参数的季节变化。调查结果表明,共鉴定出浮游动物69种,隶属于6门12个类群,其中桡足类最多,占39.1%;可划分为5种生态类群,暖水性广布类群和暖温带近海类群为两种主要生态类群;出现优势种类15种,主要有中华哲水蚤(Calanussinicus)、精致真刺水蚤(Euchaetaconcinna)和肥胖箭虫(Sagittaenflata)等。多样性分析显示,除冬季外,其他三个季节Shannon-Wiener指数(H′)值均大于2,且秋季最高,达3.29。相关性分析表明,种类数与水温的正相关性非常显著。与1990年调查结果相比,春季和秋季种类类群及种类数有所减少,这与调查时水温变化有关。研究分析认为,种类组成的季节变化主要受到江浙沿岸流和台湾暖流的影响。  相似文献

All the main trophic groups of invertebrates are presented in the compositions of dominant assemblages of zooperiphyton in the studied waterbodies and watercourses. The strong pollution of water by suspended solids of anthropogenic origin in the water of the upper Volga reservoirs leads to the suppression of typically sessile filter-feeding invertebrates (sponges, bryozoans, and Dreissena) able to form the highest biomass of zooperiphyton using natural food items. The conditions of the disturbed structure of food resources are favorable for the development of detritivores-gatherers. In small rivers receiving industrial wastewaters, excessive amounts of food in the water column and in the form of sediments on the substrates suppresses invertebrates-biofowlers and facilitates the expansion of the benthic larvae of chironomids of g. Chironomus (combining the filtration and gathering of food particles on the substrates) to the vacant spatial niches. At the same time, the role of nematodes and oligochaetes with prevailing detritophages increases. In the acidified lakes of the Darwinsky National Reserve, the decrease in the total species diversity of zooperiphyton is accompanied by decreases in the role of filter-feeding invertebrates. The chironomid larvae and oligochaetes prevailed in the poor zoocenoses. The roles of predatory caddisfly larvae, black gnats, and nematodes increased. The labile structural characteristics of zooperiphyton with the conservation of the historically formed methods of foraging are the main modern way that biofouling communities adapt to changes in the quality and quantity of food resources upon modern anthropogenic pollution of the aquatic environment.  相似文献

This study of freshwater bivalves of the superfamily Pisidioidea was carried out in small waterbodies and watercourses of the central part of Vologda oblast in 2000–2005. It revealed 24 species from 13 genera and 3 families. The investigated bodies of water were grouped according to the similarity of the mollusk species composition. Data collected on zooplankton community composition over longer time periods (>?10 years) are rare. We examined among-lake spatial and temporal trends of zooplankton communities from a monitoring programme undertaken in the Waikato region, New Zealand. A total of 39 lakes were sampled over a period of 12 years, between 2007 and 2019, with varying degrees of temporal effort. We focussed particularly on eight lakes, considered here as ‘long-term lakes’, where samples were collected with greater regularity (including 5 with 12 years of data). Among lakes, suspended sediment concentrations and indicators of lake trophic state were inferred to be important in determining the zooplankton distributions; as this region is dominated by shallow lakes, the relative importance of suspended sediments was high. Among the long-term lakes, the greatest dissimilarities in zooplankton community composition among years were in Lake Waahi, where the Australian Boeckella symmetrica was first detected in 2012. That is, the greatest temporal changes to zooplankton composition during the study period were due to the invasion by non-indigenous species, rather than changes in trophic state or other environmental variables; non-native species commonly dominated the individual counts of species through much of 2014 and 2015, with most samples since 2016 being again dominated by native species. Following this lake, the largest and shallowest lakes in the dataset—Whangape and Waikare—exhibited the greatest variability in community composition among years.

2017年3月到2018年2月研究了临涣湖浮游甲壳动物群落结构的季节变化。临涣湖共记录浮游甲壳动物13种,其中枝角类8属8种,桡足类5属5种。短尾秀体溞(Diaphanosoma brachyurum)、广布中剑水蚤(Mesocyclops leuckarti)和象鼻溞(Bosmina sp.)等小型富营养种类是温暖季节的优势种,而近邻剑水蚤(Cyclops vicinus)是冬季的优势种。盔形溞(Daphnia galeata)等大型种类仅在少数月份中被观察到。临涣湖浮游甲壳动物的年平均密度和生物量分别为28.3个/L和0.33 mg/L。营养状态指数(TSIM)的年平均值为62.6。浮游甲壳动物的Shannon指数、Pielou指数和Simpson指数的年平均值分别为0.86、0.74和0.49,且3种多样性指数均具有显著的季节差异。营养盐水平、营养状态指数和物种多样性指数均表明,临涣湖水体处于富营养化状态。冗余分析结果表明,水温、总磷浓度和叶绿素a浓度是影响临涣湖浮游甲壳动物群落结构变化的上行效应因子。鲢、鳙鱼的捕食压力是临涣湖浮游甲壳动物群落结构小型化的下...  相似文献

The species composition of ostracods in the zooperiphyton was determined in 45 waterbodies and watercourses of Tyumen oblast. A total of 58 species from seven families and 22 genera of the suborder Podocopa Sars, 1866, have been found: 30 species of the family Candonidae, 13 of Cyprididae, 8 of Cyridopsidae, 3 of Ilyocyprididae, 1 of Darwinulidae, 2 of Cytherideidae, and 1 of Limnocytheridae. Of these 58 species, 32 are recorded for the first time in the region; one of them is a Mediterranean species (Stenocypris sp.) from the cooling reservoir of Tyumen Thermal Power Station 1. Floodplain lakes along the rivers Lower Rhine and Meuse in TheNetherlands can be categorized according to their hydrologyand geomorphology. The impact of hydrology on the summer planktoncommunity composition in 100 floodplain lakes was studied bymultivariate analyses (TWINSPAN, FLEXCLUS, DCA) of relativeabundance data of plankton. The phyto- and zooplankton communitycomposition in floodplain lakes is clearly related to hydrology,relevant nutritional resources and habitat characteristics,mainly via input of N and P from the eutrophic main channelsduring floods. The plankton species richness was related tothe complexity of habitats formed by the presence of aquaticvegetation. There was a good agreement between the ecologicaland the environmental characterization of site groups. Cyanobacteria,Chlorophyta and filter-feeding zooplankton taxa associated withopen water are characteristic for floodplain lakes with a longannual flood duration, low Si/N and Si/P ratios, and a poorlydeveloped aquatic vegetation. Bacillariophyceae and scrapingzooplankton taxa associated with aquatic macrophytes are characteristicfor floodplain lakes with a short annual flood duration, highSi/N and Si/P ratios, and a well-developed aquatic vegetation.It is concluded that the restoration of connections betweenrarely flooded lakes and the highly eutrophic main channelsof the Lower Rhine and Meuse will result in hypertrophic conditionsand a reduced plankton diversity in these lakes.  相似文献

Composition of animal communities can be shaped by both local and regional processes. Among others, dispersal of organisms links local and regional patterns and determines the similarity of communities at increasing spatial distances. Unique and shared spatial and environmental contributions to fish community composition were calculated for watercourse distances between 49 hydrologically connected lakes in the German lowland area. Variation partitioning indicated a dominant unique effect of spatial predictors on fish community composition, whereas the effects of lake morphometry and productivity were weaker. The spatial effect was attributable to an uneven occurrence of small, littoral fish species found even at the small spatial extension covered here (maximum spatial distance ?550 km). Distance decay of community similarity was moderate, but significant, if all 31 fish species were considered, but the slope of the decay function became steeper if only 11 small‐sized, primarily littoral species were included. These results suggest that fish in European lowland lakes can be considered a metacommunity with limited dispersal along watercourse connections in particular for small‐sized species. The analysis supports that for an appropriate evaluation of spatial effects on fish community similarity, reliable estimates of local richness are required which include in particular also rare, small‐sized species occurring primarily in littoral areas. Furthermore, watercourse distance is a more reliable approximation than Euclidean distance to the real spatial dimension of fish dispersal.  相似文献

Climate change will have substantial impacts on biodiversity, particularly for aquatic species. Warming temperatures and changing weather patterns will also remobilize and modify chemical partitioning. Holding millions of cubic yards of sediments contaminated with persistent legacy chemicals such as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and dioxins, the Laurentian Great Lakes are a laboratory for observing interactions between biological and chemical responses to climate change. They provide a wide range of habitat to a variety of species, from littoral forage fish to deep‐water predators. In this paper, we couple bioenergetic and bioaccumulation models to investigate the biological and chemical effects of climate change in the Great Lakes. We consider three species: round goby, a warm‐water invasive forage fish; mottled sculpin, a cool‐water native forage fish; and lake trout, a cold‐water native predator. Using our coupled models, we calculate the accumulation of a representative persistent chemical, PCB‐77, under four climate scenarios for Lake Erie and Lake Superior. Predator–prey (lake trout–round goby) interactions and food availability (high–low) are incorporated into our simulations. For cool‐ to cold‐water species (sculpin, lake trout) we find that warm temperatures limit growth. For warm‐water species (round goby) cold temperatures limit growth. The impact of climate warming on growth depends on the winter lows as well as the summer highs of the scenario, in combination with the species' critical upper and lower thermal limits. We find conditions for high growth and consumption rates generally lead to high bioaccumulation. However, this can be confounded by predator–prey dynamics, as mismatches in the temperature preferences of predator and prey can lead to mismatches in relative growth and uptake rates. As predator–prey dynamics are expected to undergo substantial shifts with changing climate, these relative thermal sensitivities will be key in determining the implications of climate change for bioaccumulation, particularly in top predator species.  相似文献

The sometimes sharp thermal variations and irregular precipitations and force concentrated over short periods characterize the Mediterranean climate. The structure of the zooplanktonic settlement was analyzed during one year in three Algerian reservoirs (lakes) with different geographical and climatic situation, in relation to abiotic factors (temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, suspended matter, carbonates, nitrogenized and phosphorated nutritive salts). A canonical correspondence analysis was used to estimate the influence of the abiotic factors on the temporal distribution.The studied lakes are located, on the one hand, in northern Algeria, in a sub-humid area (Lake Boukourdane) and, on the other hand, in the South of the country, in the arid region (Foum El Ghorza and Djorf Torba). Analysis of the environmental parameters indicates that there is a seasonal variation in the three reservoirs. In Lake Foum El Ghorza, the temperature and hydrology variations, linked with the arid climate, affects the concentration of dissolved oxygen, which strongly decreases (1.5 mg/l), involving a pH reduction; suspended matters are sometimes high, coming from the stripped catchment area, causing a turbidity in this not very deep lake. The study of the distribution of the species allowed us to highlight a seasonal temporal variation. Lake Boukourdane, in the sub-humid zone, has an increased specific richness (SR=13). The various species evolve in alternation during the annual cycle. The representative species of this lake is Copidodiaptomus numidicus, characteristic of the rainy and endemic zone of the western Mediterranean; it is dominant (67%) in the spring. The Stenothermal species Diaphanosoma brachyurum, endemic of hot waters, is common to the two lakes; it evolves particularly in the summer (51.3%) at Boukourdane, whereas it is perennial and dominant (55%) in the spring at Djorf Torba. The specific richness is lower in Djorf Torba (SR=7) and in Foum El Ghorza (SR=6). The species collected in these two lakes are common and cosmopolitan, but they are adapted to the extreme conditions of the arid climate. Nevertheless, the species evolving in Lake Foum El Ghorza have undergone a significant decline, which has reduced the number of species and their density in the summer-autumn period. Thus, we can say that in the studied lakes, the hydrological factors and the temperature related to the Mediterranean climate would be two of the principal causes of the temporal distribution of the species.
