In chronic experiments on rabbits receiving for 3 months low doses of cholesterol (60 mg per 1 kg of body weight daily), a repeated prolonged (2 h daily) intermittent stimulation of negative and positive emotive zones of the hypothalamus through implanted electrodes (eliciting avoidance and self-stimulation reactions correspondingly),--resulted in uniform disturbances of carbohydrate metabolism. There was a significant reduction of glucose tolerance in comparison with the control group of rabbits with implanted electrodes, as well as a gradual development of a slight, but stable neurogenic hyperglycemia. Simultaneously, in both experimental rabbits groups there were an equal increase of alimentary hypercholesterolemia and a development of persistent neurogenic arterial hypertension.  相似文献

To evaluate the impact of oxidized derivatives of cholesterol on the development of hypercholesterolemia in rabbits, the secretion of very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) apoproteins and lipids was studied in cultures of hepatocytes obtained from: i) control rabbits, ii) rabbits fed on purified cholesterol (PCH), and, iii) rabbits fed on old commercial cholesterol (OCH) containing 5% of oxidized cholesterol derivatives. The rabbits fed on OCH for 6 weeks revealed a 5-fold increase in the serum cholesterol level compared with that in PCH-fed rabbits. The secretion of VLDL apoproteins and lipids by hepatocytes of two cholesterol-fed groups was similar, but was 2-3 times as high as that of cells from control rabbits. The cholesterol ester content in hepatocytes and the secretion of VLDL cholesterol esters by hepatocytes from OCH-fed rabbits was dramatically increased in comparison with hepatocytes from control and PCH-fed rabbits. These effects appear to be caused by the activation of cholesterol esterification by oxidized cholesterol derivatives. The rapid development of hypercholesterolemia in OCH-fed rabbits is at least partly associated with the stimulation of hepatic VLDL production.  相似文献

本工作观察家兔内源性阿片样物质在紧张性高血糖反应中的作用。通过向家兔侧脑室内注射阿片受体阻断剂纳洛酮或羧基肽酶 A 的抑制剂 D-苯丙氨酸以分别减弱或加强脑内内源性阿片样物质的作用。结果表明,纳洛酮能使由乙醚或2-脱氧葡萄糖所引起的高血糖反应减弱,而使由胰岛素所引起的低血糖反应加强并延搁其回复过程。D-苯丙氨酸表现为相反的效应。在已对吗啡形成耐受的家兔,2-脱氧葡萄糖所引起的高血糖反应也呈减弱。这些结果提示,脑内内源性阿片样物质与紧张性高血糖反应有关。  相似文献

The objective of this study was to compare the effect of cholesterol feeding of rats and rabbits. The levels of lipid peroxidation products and oxysterols in the plasma of the two species plus the antioxidant enzyme activities in the liver and erythrocytes were measured to explain their different susceptibilities to atherosclerosis. Our study showed that rats are less susceptible than are rabbits to the atherogenic effect of a cholesterol-rich diet because of differences in lipid peroxidation products as well as antioxidant enzymes activities in their livers. In rabbits, cholesterol feeding produced severe hypercholesterolemia (43-fold increase) and increased plasma and liver lipid peroxidation. Total as well as the individual oxysterol contents of 7alpha-, 7beta-hydroxycholesterol, alpha-epoxy, beta-epoxycholesterol, cholestanetriol, 7-keto, and 27-hydroxycholesterol significantly increased in the plasma of hypercholesterolemic (HC) rabbits. Erythrocyte glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activity significantly decreased whereas catalase activity significantly increased in HC rabbits. In rats cholesterol feeding increased the plasma cholesterol only twofold and had no effect on plasma or liver lipid peroxidation. Only 7alpha- and 7beta-hydroxycholesterol increased and no change was observed in any of the antioxidant enzymes activity in the erythrocytes. Although cholesterol feeding caused a 10-fold increase of liver cholesterol as ester in both rats and rabbits, the antioxidant enzyme GSH-Px and catalase activities in the liver significantly increased in rats but significantly decreased in rabbits. The increase of GSH-Px and catalase activities in the liver of cholesterol fed rats could have a protective role against oxidation, thus preventing the formation of lipid peroxidation and oxysterols.  相似文献

To study the effect of cholecystectomy on the regulation of classic and alternative bile acid syntheses, gallbladder-intact (n = 20) and cholecystectomized (n = 20) New Zealand White rabbits were fed either chow or chow with 2% cholesterol (3 g/day). After 10 days, bile fistulas were constructed in half of each rabbit group to recover and measure the bile acid pool and biliary bile acid flux. After cholesterol feeding, the bile acid pool size increased from 268 +/- 55 to 444 +/- 77 mg (P < 0.01) with a 2-fold rise in the biliary bile acid flux in intact rabbits but did not expand the bile acid pool (270 +/- 77 vs. 276 +/- 62 mg), nor did the biliary bile acid flux increase in cholecystectomized rabbits. Ileal apical sodium-dependent bile acid transporter protein increased 46% from 93 +/- 6 to 136 +/- 23 units/mg (P < 0.01) in the intact rabbits but did not change in cholecystectomized rabbits (104 +/- 14 vs. 99 +/- 19 units/mg) after cholesterol feeding. Cholesterol 7alpha-hydroxylase activity was inhibited 59% (P < 0.001) while cholesterol 27-hydroxylase activity rose 83% (P < 0.05) after cholesterol feeding in the intact rabbits but neither enzyme activity changed significantly in cholesterol-fed cholecystectomized rabbits. Fecal bile acid outputs reflecting bile acid synthesis increased significantly in the intact but not in the cholecystectomized rabbits fed cholesterol.Removal of the gallbladder prevented expansion of the bile acid pool after cholesterol feeding as seen in intact rabbits because ileal bile acid transport did not increase. As a result, cholesterol 7alpha-hydroxylase was not inhibited.  相似文献

The effect of heat exposure on blood chemistry of the hyperthermic rabbit   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
1. Two hours of exposure to heat stress, resulted in hyperthermia in rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). 2. This was accompanied by a severe hypocapnia, partly compensated for by a significant decrease in bicarbonate (HCO3-) concentration. 3. The severest hyperthermia (Tb = 43.5 degrees) was followed by a sharp decreased in both PaCO2 (to 20.2 torr) and HCO3- (to 9.2 mM/l), resulting in extreme metabolic acidosis (pH = 7.290). 4. The significant increase in serum osmolality (27%) is interpreted by the cumulative effect of increased electrolyte and metabolite concentrations. 5. The elevation in blood BUN, creatinine, globulin and GOT levels point to a possible damage to muscle cells by hypothermia. 6. The stable cholesterol and alkaline phosphatase levels, suggest that liver tissue was not damaged. 7. The dramatic increase in glucose from 103.8 to 348.8 mg%, and the significant increase (from 22.0 to 39.9 mg%) in BUN, suggest a possible disability of the cells to metabolize carbohydrates, accompanied by a progressive proteolysis as an alternative process for energy production. 8. The data suggest that the emergence of muscle cell damage, severe hyperglycemia and acidosis under heat stress, precedes and amplifies the deteriorating effects of high Tb in heat stressed rabbits, which often lead to mortality.  相似文献

New Zealand white rabbits exhibited as much as a threefold increase in plasma cholesterol but no change in hepatic cholesterol when fasted for 7-9 days. Agarose electrophoresis and ultracentrifugation of plasma samples showed that only low density lipoprotein increased during fasting. Fasting changed the composition of the low density lipoprotein by increasing the percentage of cholesterol and decreasing the percentage of triglyceride while protein and phospholipid remained the same. Rates of cholesterol secretion into plasma, measured by Triton WR 1339 injection, and rates of plasma cholesteryl ester synthesis, determined by [2-(14)C]mevalonate injection, were similar for fed and fasted rabbits. These findings suggest that fasting hypercholesterolemia in rabbits did not result from increased production of low density lipoproteins. Triton WR 1339 was shown to inhibit plasma cholesterol esterification in vitro.  相似文献

In homozygous Watanabe heritable hyperlipidemic (WHHL) rabbits, the serum cholesterol level and serum low-density lipoprotein (LDL) level decreased from 562 +/- 76 (mean +/- S.E.) to 144 +/- 34 mg/dl and 410 +/- 56 to 90 +/- 25 mg/dl, respectively, during pregnancy, although the LDL receptor in this rabbit is genetically deficient. When Tyroxapol, which inhibits the degradation of very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL), as well as Triton WR-1339, was injected into WHHL rabbits, the rate of the increase in serum cholesterol level in pregnant rabbits was not statistically different from that in non-pregnant rabbits. This result implied that the secretion rate of VLDL-cholesterol, the precursor of LDL-cholesterol, did not decrease during pregnancy. The amount of 125I-labeled LDL bound to LDL receptor was increased 1.8-fold in normal rabbits (from 29.3 +/- 4.3 to 52.3 +/- 4.6 ng/mg protein) and 12-fold in WHHL rabbits (from 0.5 +/- 0.2 to 6.0 +/- 0.7 ng/mg protein) during pregnancy. These results suggest that the decrease in serum cholesterol level in WHHL rabbits during pregnancy was associated with an increase in hepatic LDL receptor activity, which plays an important role in the regulation of serum cholesterol level.  相似文献

In order to clarify the reason why pravastatin, a 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl (HMG)-CoA reductase inhibitor, did not show hypocholesterolemic effects in rats, the changes of various parameters affecting the serum cholesterol levels by pravastatin were determined in rats and rabbits, as a comparison. In rabbits, pravastatin administration at 50 mg/kg for 14 days decreased serum and liver cholesterol by 40% and 8%, respectively. The hepatic LDL receptor activity was increased 1.7-fold, and VLDL cholesterol secretion was decreased. Cholesterol 7α-hydroxylase activity was not changed. In contrast, in rats, serum cholesterol was increased by 14% at 50 mg/kg and 27% at 250 mg/kg for 7 days, respectively. At 250 mg/kg, liver cholesterol was significantly increased by 11%. Under these conditions, neither the hepatic LDL receptor activity nor cholesterol 7α-hydroxylase was changed, and VLDL cholesterol secretion was increased. At 250 mg/kg, net cholesterol synthesis in rat liver was increased after 7 days of consecutive administration. These results imply that in rats, stimulated net cholesterol synthesis caused the increase of liver cholesterol followed by the increase of VLDL cholesterol secretion, and resulted in the raise of plasma cholesterol. Although hepatic HMG-CoA reductase was induced almost the same fold in both animals at 50 mg/kg, the induced HMG-CoA reductase activity in rats might overcome the inhibitory capability of pravastatin, resulting in an increase of net cholesterol synthesis, but not in rabbits. This overresponse to pravastatin in rats might cause the lack of hypocholesterolemic effects of this drug.  相似文献

We investigated the levels of non-cholesterol sterols as predictors for the development of hyperglycemia (an increase in the glucose area under the curve in an oral glucose tolerance test) and incident type 2 diabetes in a 5-year follow-up study of a population-based cohort of Finnish men (METSIM Study, N = 1,050) having non-cholesterol sterols measured at baseline. Additionally we determined the association of 538,265 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) with non-cholesterol sterol levels in a cross-sectional cohort of non-diabetic offspring of type 2 diabetes (the Kuopio cohort of the EUGENE2 Study, N = 273). We found that in a cross-sectional METSIM Study the levels of sterols indicating cholesterol absorption were reduced as a function of increasing fasting glucose levels, whereas the levels of sterols indicating cholesterol synthesis were increased as a function of increasing 2-hour glucose levels. A cholesterol synthesis marker desmosterol significantly predicted an increase, and two absorption markers (campesterol and avenasterol) a decrease in the risk of hyperglycemia and incident type 2 diabetes in a 5-year follow-up of the METSIM cohort, mainly attributable to insulin sensitivity. A SNP of ABCG8 was associated with fasting plasma glucose levels in a cross-sectional study but did not predict hyperglycemia or incident type 2 diabetes. In conclusion, the levels of some, but not all non-cholesterol sterols are markers of the worsening of hyperglycemia and type 2 diabetes.  相似文献

Insulin resistance, obesity, and diabetes are characterized by hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinemia, and hyperleptinemia and are associated with increased risk of atherosclerosis. In an effort to understand how this occurs, we have investigated whether these factors cause disregulation of cholesterol ester metabolism in J774.2 macrophages. Raising glucose levels alone was sufficient to increase uptake of acetylated low density lipoprotein but did not stimulate synthesis of cholesterol esters. In the presence of high glucose, both insulin and leptin increased the rate of cholesterol ester synthesis, although they did not further increase uptake of acetylated low density lipoprotein. However, in the presence of high glucose both insulin and leptin caused a significant increase in the activity of acyl-CoA: cholesterol O-acyltransferase (ACAT) combined with a significant reduction in the level of hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL). Because ACAT is the main enzyme responsible for cholesterol ester synthesis and HSL contributes significantly to neutral cholesterol ester hydrolase activity, this suggests that glucose primes the J774.2 cells so that in the presence of high insulin or leptin they will store cholesterol esters. This contrasts with 3T3-L1 adipocytes, where HSL activity and expression are increased by insulin in high glucose conditions. These findings may provide an explanation for the observation that in conditions characterized by hyperglycemia, hyperleptinemia, and hyperinsulinemia, triglyceride lipolysis in adipocytes is increased while hydrolysis of cholesterol esters in macrophages is decreased, contributing to foam cell formation.  相似文献

Urinary and fecal endogenous steroid excretion of fed or fasted New Zealand white rabbits was determined by the isotopic steady state method after subcutaneous implantation of radioactive cholesterol. While plasma cholesterol was increasing during a 9-day fast, fecal steroid excretion decreased to 10% of the excretion rates in the fed state. Refeeding the fasted rabbits led to a decrease in plasma cholesterol and an increase in fecal endogenous steroid excretion. Urinary steroid excretion, which represented 18% of total endogenous steroid excretion for fed animals, decreased during fasting and increased during refeeding, but these changes were relatively small. The small intestine, cecum, and colon of fed or fasted rabbits had similar endogenous steroid was acidic steroid. During attempts to alter the circulating bile acid concentration by supplying deoxycholate (200 mg/day) to fed rabbits or cholestyramine (2 g/day) to fasted rabbits, plasma cholesterol concentration did not change to the same extent as during fasting or refeeding, respectively. The decreased cholesterol catabolism and the hypercholesterolemia that are seen in the fasting rabbit may result from decreased clearance of plasma cholesterol.  相似文献

 为研究大鼠高胆固醇饮食时 ,肝脏氨肽酶N(APN)在实验结石形成中可能的结石发生作用 ,采用 1.2 %胆固醇饮食 4周 ,诱发新西兰兔胆囊结石形成 .根据兔APN基因cDNA序列设计引物 ,提取肝脏总RNA .利用RT PCR检测肝脏APNmRNA水平的变化 ,用组织化学方法观察肝脏毛细胆管膜上APN的表达 .观察新西兰兔胆囊结石形成过程中肝脏APN的mRNA水平的变化、APN表达及胆汁中APN活性、胆脂、总蛋白含量的变化 ,探讨APN在胆石形成中可能的作用 .经成石饲料饲养后 ,随着胆汁饱和度增加和APN活性加强 ,胆囊结石组肝脏APNmRNA水平较对照组明显增高 ,胆囊结石组胆汁中总胆固醇、CSI、总蛋白浓度及APN活性均明显高于对照组 ,且胆汁中APN活性与肝脏APN的表达及胆汁CSI增高呈正相关 .结果提示 ,当存在胆汁过饱和的情况下 ,APN很可能作为促成核因子在胆结石形成早期发挥重要作用  相似文献

In rabbits fed a cholesterol-free, semipurified diet containing isolated soy protein, the average total serum cholesterol level was similar to that of rabbits fed a natural ingredient (chow) diet. However, the cholesterol and protein levels in very low density (VLDL) and low density lipoproteins (LDL) tended to increase, while the levels in high density lipoproteins (HDL) were reduced to about half of those on the chow diet, with little change in the cholesterol to protein ratio. Substitution of casein for soy protein in the semipurified diet caused a four- to five-fold increase in total serum cholesterol and a doubling of lipoprotein protein, with an increase of 1.4- to 3.0-fold in the cholesterol to protein ratio of the different lipoprotein fractions. Analysis of the apoproteins (apo) of the plasma lipoproteins indicated that apo B, E, and C all tended to increase in the VLDL and LDL of rabbits fed the soy protein diet compared with those fed chow diet. The levels of each of the apoproteins were increased further by substituting casein for soy protein in the semipurified diet. In this case, apo E showed the greatest relative increase (2.7-fold) in VLDL, while apo B and E were increased to a similar extent (about 4-fold) in LDL. Apo C was approximately doubled in each of these fractions. The apo A content in HDL of rabbits fed the semipurified diets was about half that of rabbits fed chow diet. No marked changes were noted in the apo E or C content of HDL. Separation of isoforms of the soluble apoproteins showed variations between individual animals, but these variations seemed largely unrelated to diet. The results of these studies indicate that semipurified diets produce changes in the serum lipoprotein patterns of rabbits that are only partly due to the protein component of these diets.  相似文献

Placental transfer of cholesterol-4-14C into rabbit and guinea pig fetus   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
A tracer dose of cholesterol-4-(14)C was given daily in the diet of six pregnant guinea pigs to establish an isotopic steady state. At the time of parturition, maternal and fetal blood and fetal tissues were collected and analyzed for cholesterol content and cholesterol specific activity. A comparison of these specific activities in neonatal and maternal serum indicated that about 22% of the fetal serum cholesterol was transferred from maternal blood. In the newborn, tissues generally had the same cholesterol specific activity as serum. Brain tissue was an exception in having a specific activity only 8.4% of that of serum. Dietary cholesterol did not increase serum cholesterol levels in the newborn but did increase the percentage of fetal cholesterol derived from the maternal circulation. The rapid transfer of cholesterol-4-(14)C across the placenta was indicated by the appearance of this isotope in the newborn 2 days after its administration to pregnant rabbits. A considerable amount of the cholesterol content of newborn guinea pigs and rabbits originated from the maternal blood.  相似文献

During 30-week hypercholesterolemia in rabbits and guinea pigs the differences in cholesterol dynamics manifested themselves in quantitative variations of blood serum proteins. Five weeks after the beginning of the experiment a sharp increase of cholesterol level corresponded to the equally sharp decrease of the quantity of blood serum total and cation proteins. The variation of protein and cholesterol concentrations in guinea pigs during 17 weeks is similar to the development of early stages of cholesterolemia (4 weeks) in rabbits. It can be supposed that there is a connection between metabolic systems involved in the transformation of blood serum cholesterol and blood serum.  相似文献

Alloxan-diabetic rabbits develop hypercholesterolemia and hypertriglyceridemia in response to cholesterol feeding. To determine whether alterations in apolipoprotein composition of plasma lipoproteins were due to changes in apolipoprotein gene expression, we measured the steady state apoE mRNA levels in several tissues from both control and diabetic rabbits. Control rabbits were fed either chow or chow plus 1.5% cholesterol (chow-fed or cholesterol-fed groups) and diabetic rabbits were fed either chow or chow plus 0.5% cholesterol for dietary periods of 5, 21, and 42 days. The tissues examined were liver, small intestine, brain, adrenals, and aorta. ApoE mRNA levels were measured by Northern and dot blot analysis with a human apoE cDNA probe. In control rabbits fed either chow or cholesterol diets for up to 42 days, the steady state apoE mRNA levels remained relatively constant in all of the tissues examined. In contrast, in alloxan-diabetic rabbits fed a 0.5% cholesterol diet, apoE mRNA was reduced in liver, brain, and adrenals (46 +/- 19%, 56 +/- 5%, and 39 +/- 18% of chow-fed control, respectively), but showed little change in the aorta (91 +/- 22% of chow-fed control). Despite a similar increase in plasma cholesterol, the cholesterol content of the liver and adrenals of cholesterol-fed diabetic rabbits were 20% and 50%, respectively, of that of the liver and adrenals in cholesterol-fed control rabbits. The result that apoE mRNA levels and tissue cholesterol content are altered in the diabetic cholesterol-fed rabbit suggests that insulin deficiency in the rabbit may influence apoE gene expression and tissue cholesterol homeostasis.  相似文献

MK-733 (simvastatin), a potent 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor, was found to inhibit the absorption of cholesterol from the gastrointestinal tract in cholesterol-fed rabbits (Ishida et al. (1988) Biochim. Biophys. Acta 963, 35-41). To clarify the mechanism of action, the effects of MK-733 on acyl coenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase (ACAT) and cholesterol esterase activities, which are thought to participate in the absorption of cholesterol, were examined. Dietary administration (0.03% in a 1% cholesterol diet for 7 days, approx. 10 mg/kg) of MK-733 to cholesterol-fed rabbits was found to inhibit the increase in serum total cholesterol levels, and caused a 70% reduction in ACAT activity in microsomes of intestinal mucosa relative to those observed in concurrent control rabbits. MK-733 did not affect cholesterol esterase activity in the cytosol of the intestinal mucosa. The inhibitory effect of MK-733 on cholesterol absorption in cholesterol-fed rabbits is though to be related to a reduction in microsomal ACAT activity in the intestinal mucosa.  相似文献

Probucol is a widely prescribed lipid-lowering agent, the major effects of which are to lower cholesterol in both low- and high-density lipoproteins (LDL and HDL, respectively). The mechanism of action of probucol on HDL apolipoprotein (apo) A-I kinetics was investigated in rabbits, with or without cholesterol feeding. 125I-labeled HDL was injected intravenously, and blood samples were taken periodically for 6 days. Kinetic parameters were calculated from the apo A-I-specific radioactivity decay curves. Fractional catabolic rate (FCR) and synthetic rate (SR) of apo A-I in rabbits fed a normal chow and normal chow with 1% probucol were similar. Apo A-I FCR of the rabbits fed 0.5% cholesterol was significantly increased but there were no changes in SR, compared to findings in the normal chow-fed group. Apo A-I FCR of the rabbits fed 1% probucol with 0.5% cholesterol (both 1 month and 2 months) was significantly increased compared to findings in rabbits fed the normal chow as well as 0.5% cholesterol diet group, while SR of apo A-I was significantly reduced in the former groups. Kinetics at 1 month after discontinuation of 1% probucol (under cholesterol feeding) showed a similar FCR of HDL-apo A-I to that of the rabbits fed 0.5% cholesterol, but the SR of apo A-I remained lower. Apo A-I isoproteins kinetics assessed by autoradiography of isoelectric focusing slab gels showed that the synthesis of proapo A-I was significantly reduced in the 1% probucol with 0.5% cholesterol administered, compared to the 0.5% cholesterol group. Thus, the action of probucol on HDL apo A-I kinetics was only prominent in case of higher serum cholesterol levels. The decreased HDL or apo A-I seen with probucol was apparently the result of an increase in FCR and a decrease in SR of HDL-apo A-I. A decreased synthesis of apo A-I remained evident even 1 month after discontinuing probucol. The action of probucol on the intracellular synthetic processes of apo A-I was revealed by the reduced synthesis of proapo A-I.  相似文献

Serum lathosterol concentration in rabbits was assessed as a possible indicator of whole-body cholesterol synthesis. In random-bred New Zealand White (NZW) rabbits fed a control diet or a diet containing either cholesterol, simvastatin, or cholestyramine, neither serum lathosterol concentration nor the serum lathosterol:total cholesterol ratio systematically corresponded with the anticipated rate of cholesterol synthesis. In control rabbits and those fed simvastatin or cholestyramine, whole-body cholesterol synthesis, which was calculated from the sterol balance, was correlated with serum lathosterol concentration when expressed relative to cholesterol in very low, intermediate, and low density lipoproteins (VLDL + IDL + LDL) (r = 0.61; n = 23; P = 0.002). The low correlation coefficient indicates that the predictive value of the lathosterol: (VLDL + IDL + LDL) cholesterol ratio is limited when applied to individual rabbits. Cholesterol and simvastatin feeding reduced the group mean serum lathosterol:(VLDL + IDL + LDL) cholesterol ratio, whereas cholestyramine in the diet raised the group mean ratio in the NZW rabbits. We conclude that the serum lathosterol:(VLDL + IDL + LDL) cholesterol ratio may be an indicator of group mean rates of whole-body cholesterol synthesis in rabbits but may not yield reliable information on individual rabbits. The lathosterol:(VLDL + IDL + LDL) cholesterol ratio predicted that in hyperresponsive inbred rabbits, showing an excessive hypercholesterolemia after cholesterol feeding, baseline whole-body cholesterol synthesis is lower than in hyporesponsive rabbits. Addition of cholesterol to the diet caused a reduction of predicted cholesterol synthesis in hypo- but not in hyper-responsive rabbits.  相似文献
